Expérience négative: Quality of services and customer service has gone down at greenboro community center. Paid for a service and showed to up just to be told it is cancelled with no receipt of reimbursement or notice of cancellation. As written by another reviewer, customer service rep named MARY is very rude. She didn't even bother to get up from her chair, just yelled from the back room : it's cancelled for the season, you got your money back. She gave no acknowledgement of the time i took off to bring my daughter there and the time wasted. The young girl at the front was very polite and helped me see my reimbursement with numerous apologies. While iam here I will discuss the quality of camps have gone down aswell. Teenagers "watching" our kids are constantly in groups chit chatting while our babies are running free in the playground. I've noticed they also have a music system they bring with them outside. You would think it's children music however it urban music being blasted with foul language. Things have changed drastically in quality.

Expérience fantastique: I rented a room for the second time annually and it went very well. The room was set up at the designated time, it was clean and had everything I needed. There is a long counter and a sink and fridge as well as some couches and long tables and stacking chairs. The staff were helpful in getting us things like an extension cord and a white board as well. It's a great location and we'll definitely go back again for future planning meetings.

All it is they ask is "Where's your gym membership" and extremely rare occasion, they say "Thank you" and it's one of the new workers who did that. They will never ever ask how my day is going. But for others, they will ask and talk with them. Why is life so unfair man.

Expérience négative: Michelle and Mary .... what a pair! Both work in customer service at this location and both suck at it!! Neither is familiar with their employer's accessibility policies and made me and my service dog feel unwelcome and me embarrassed after a berating exchange on their part. Turns out my dog IS allowed at their location and neither has offered me so much as an apology for their discriminating behaviour. In an unrelated event, I had asked Mary to extend my membership because I had been unable to use it for medical reasons. I even offered to produce supporting documentation which Mary told me wasn't required and "extended my membership". Months later I had to cancel my membership for medical reasons and it is then that I realized that Mary had never extended my membership.

Expérience fantastique: I feel so fortunate to live near the Greenboro Community Centre and to be able to attend the fitness classes offered 7 days a week. The fitness instructors are great, really helpful and always ready to listen and give advice whenever I ask for guidance. Whether I stop at the library or check in at the reception to attend a fitness class, it's service with a smile. Thank you to all the staff, fitness instructors, volunteers and to everyone working at Greenboro Community Centre for making this the great place that it is.

Expérience positive: This is a great community centre, indoors and out. There are nice washrooms, library, réception, snack machines, and I believe wifi too. Big playground also with à water area and à big field. Also has swing and lots of benches and parking.

Expérience fantastique: We attended the first afternoon social dance on last Tuesday (May 30, 2023) there. The room is HUGE with many fans on the ceiling to keep good air flow. The hardwood floor is well maintained. The sound system is excellent, making us enjoy the music and our dance.

Expérience positive: Great community centre with all that you need! Never been to this gym myself but my family loves it. It's also got nice places to sit and the connection to the library is great. A shame there isn't a pool or place for court sports, would make it so much better! The nice little second hand book shop is super nice though, 10/10 recommend - always some nice finds.

Expérience négative: Pretty standard ,when it comes meeting expectations it exceeded mine. So why a low rating you ask? Well the answer to that is the fact the city has given up and gave in to COMMUNITY LEADERS demands and basically every city funded facility is different.no more across the board stability which is unfortunate. I understand that st Laurent complex in greenbrook do not have the same demographics but its ridiculous in my opinion to Loosen the leash so to say too keep people Happy. If you want arabic abd somalian as your choice of language and if you want everyone to be fasting in the community centre during ramadan this your place.

Expérience fantastique: We went to this community centre for a monthly social/ballroom dance party organized by Andre (who teaches ballroom/Latin dance and Argentine Tango classes at Greensboro CC, just search “FrancineAndreDance” at Facebook). I have to say that Greensboro CC has one of the best dance rooms in Ottawa. The beautiful hardwood floor is well maintained. The size of the room is huge too. In Ottawa, I say only Churchill Senior Centre and Glebe Community Centre have dance hall that can compare with Greensboro CC’s dance room. However, I think Greensboro has a better dance hardwood floor. The hardwood floor is well engineered and raised that it does not hurt our knees when dancing. This is very important to seniors! I wish that that Stittsville/Kanata seniors can have similar facilities.

Expérience positive: I used to go here quite often and then I stopped. I recently started going and I’ve got to say, it’s an amazing place for students to go study. It’s always relatively quiet and the atmosphere is very friendly. Wifi, plugs at every desk, large space, not too many people... it’s the ideal spot to go study for exams.

I find the community Centre a better fit for children and young teens. It has great activities for them and I see a lot of teens studying in groups in the library. It is really great to see that!

Expérience positive: This review concerns only the play area and the kiddie pool located at the back of the building. It has lots to do for kids: a few different play structures on sand and a shallow pool for young kids that is supervised by City of Ottawa personnel. The pool opened only at noon and the water was very cold and full of sand, due to the play area. But it was a fun outing for my little one!

Expérience fantastique: This community center has been newly renovated in the past 5 years. It has expanded and has multiple exercise rooms. Although there is only one fitness weights +equipment room and it is quite small and often very very busy! Always having to fight for treadmill. There is also a great library with many computers to use and great kids programs!
