Expérience fantastique: Taylor taught my partner Scott and I the top rope course and went above and beyond explaining questions I had. He also had a lot of attention to detail. He even went out of his way to write down all the equipment prices for me to do my research. This guy deserves a raise!!!

Expérience fantastique: The Grip It staff and facilities are wonderful! (the climbers are just as great too). Lots of variety for both new and experienced climbers, good selection for gear, and the prices are super reasonable. There is also a weights area included in the price of the pass, which is a great extra perk.

Expérience positive: Nice gym. A bit grungy, but on the whole a good spot. The layout is a bit weird, but it has everything you could want. Grades are all a bit sandbagged though

Expérience fantastique: Excellent facilities with very knowledgeable staff who are always willing to help. Tons of options for everyone from absolute beginner's all the way to high level pros there are climbing options for everyone. Bouldering (climbing where you have a very well padded matt and don't go very high) for those afraid of heights and routes over 50 feet for those who want endurance, they have it all and I would highly recommend.

Expérience positive: I think it awesome ! Great staff, good set up. I love that I could bring my bike inside. But … I have to say that the bouldering problems go from very user friendly, great for warmups and new peeps but then BAM v4s that send you home frustrated. It’s like they think there are only two kinds of climbers .. so a little more consideration for the graduations of difficulty would be nice. Otherwise yes great place.

Expérience fantastique: Went for the first time today and I had such a blast! This was my first time climbing and it was a very friendly environment. The staff was wonderful and they went above and beyond and even took a photo of us from the top of the bolder section(?). I wish I had caught their name because they deserve employee of the month! Had such a great time and felt like a great community. Temped to get a membership!

Expérience positive: Popped in here with my dad whilst I was in town for a visit. A great space with a bit of everything. I thought the foot washing station was nifty! Staff were friendly and approachable and the gym had a good inclusive vibe. I also like the counter on website to know how busy it is. Three story walls were sweet! Felt bouldering grading was a bit soft. If I lived here I'd frequent it for sure.

Expérience fantastique: This gym is excellent. The climbs are tall, varied (grading is on the hard end), and creative. There are more auto-belays than in any climbing gym in downtown Toronto. The bouldering is chaos on the wall, but a delight for how little wall there is. Everytime I climb at Basecamp, Rock Oasis, or Joe Rockhead in Toronto, I say to myself, "they should do things like at Grip It!". Nothing beats those tall walls of a former dairy processor. Staff is knowledgeable and fun. Bonus, you can hang your bike inside.

Expérience fantastique: Lots of different climbing experiences in one building! My youngest started off being "horrified" and at the end of an hour didn't want to leave, zipping up to the top of the climbs in the beginner room.

Expérience fantastique: Most fun way to get exercise. Staff is SO friendly and helpful. It's very welcoming to beginners. The other climbers have been nothing but great, easy to make friends while climbing.

Expérience positive: Great place for climbing, but there's fewer Auto Belays than I would like. Over half the gym requires the belay cert, as well as a second person to help. I tend to go during odd hours which makes it tough to justify a membership knowing I can't really only use 1/4 of the gym. That being said, if you have your belay cert and someone to go with, it's a great time!

Expérience fantastique: Grip it climbing is amazing they have really tall walls and the ropes are super long to be able to climb to the tops of the walls. Also, the ropes can hold 10x your body weight or more so they will not break! Staff are amazing!

Expérience fantastique: Cool gym, friendly climbers and staff. Half a dozen auto-belays, plenty of normal top-rope, and a decent bouldering cave. Setting is pretty good. Nice training room, with Moon board, weights, and some hang boards.

Routes and boulders are changed regularly with tons of variety and a good range of levels. They have a large, dedicated boulder room and a nice workout area. The staff are very friendly, great community.

Expérience fantastique: A friend invited me here, came in right when it opened on Wed (10:00AM) and was greeted by two employees asking me all sorts of questions like "Have you been here before" etc. Had to fill out a waver of course for saftey purposes and then was tought how to put on a harness and my equipment. It is a small place but it does have lots to do, four seperate parts to rock climb with or without a harness. Many friendly people to help and encourage you to push yourself throughout the place. As it being my first time going I will definately be returning at some point.

Expérience fantastique: Really (REALLY!) good route setting, modern hold selection, nice staff, clean facilities. From a core climbers point of view this is a really well done gym. I had a wonderful endurance maintenance session while driving across the country. 60 ft lead wall! And a Moonboard!

Expérience fantastique: I went climbing cause I didn't feel like doing my weight lifting training again cause I was stuck at a plateau. Climbed at this place once, loved it. Got a three month membership, and basically climbed every day. It's sooooo much more fun than traditional gym training. Been going 2 years, and now one of the highlights of my week is when the staff set new problems for me to climb. Love this place. The staff are knowledgeable and fun people, the people who tend to make up the community here are welcoming and interesting, and the climbing itself is rewarding af. Cannot recommend this place highly enough.

Expérience fantastique: The staff were extremely polite, and knowledgeable. I brought my 8 year son and his friend along, the staff were very patient with the boys and thorough to make sure everyone was safe and set to have a good time. We will be back!

Expérience fantastique: Was surprised at how many amenities were here and how welcoming everyone was. The staff was open and welcoming, even if a bit disorganized. They got bouldering, they got short climbing walls, they got long climbing walls, they got computer generated routes, they got water filling stations and crash mats. I came here on a guest pass, cause the pricing is slightly too steep for me. If they ever throw a sale on passes, I'll grab a few.

I had done top-rope climbing a number of years ago and working with Troy to recertify using a grigri to belay was a great refresher. I brought our kids to try the auto-belay area and they had a blast with some of their highlights being the friendly energetic staff and how Troy encouraged them.

Expérience fantastique: I'm a novice but there were a wide variety of challenges and types of challenges, within my ability, just outside of it, and it seemed like far beyong, so should be something for most people as long as you can hold up your own body weight.

Expérience fantastique: Amazing place. Great atmosphere. Wholesome people and staff. It was a bit intimating to join this place at first. I'm not athletic in anyway and the last time I rock climbed was in highschool. Once you get through the doors, it was so much better then expected. Everyone there wants you to succeed. Highly recommended. If anyone is trying to get a bit more physical in their life or meet some really great people. I'm still super afraid of heights, but I'm working on that ;)
