Expérience négative: I am currently not in the country and will not be in the country for another year. So I called and asked to cancel my membership and they said I can only do it in person. It's my fault for not reading the terms and conditions of the contract but the fact that PF can't accept an e-signature and now require me to send certified mail is mind-blowing. Get with the times PF.

Expérience positive: Pros: - Cheap VIP membership - Hydro Bed/Massage Chair - Good hours Cons: - Constant build up of dust in the corners and under machines - They want you to wipe your machines down after every use which is great, but the paper towel dispensers are often broken and/or out of paper in order to do so - Staff are not always very friendly and top busy standing around talking to each other to notice you when you need something, and as mentioned above, do not seem to restock paper towels often enough I see in the replies to multiple different reviews here that we should "get in touch with the club manager" in order to get things cleaned if we notice it dirty. I don't think it should be up to the customers to ask staff to clean their own business. Just walk around and you will see what needs to be cleaned.

Expérience négative: The membership was fine or okay I guess while I used it, nothing special about the gym or the experience. Staff did not provide good customer service most of the time. But then when I go to cancel my membership I am unable to online or over the phone, and if I go in person I am told that I need to bring a letter? Seems kind of ridiculous. I will never recommend this company or use their services again.

He and the team go above and beyond to make sure the gym is always in top shape and that members have a positive experience.While I absolutely enjoy working out here, I would love to see an expanded selection of free weights, as well as additional machines like lateral raise equipment, hack squat machines, and overall more glute-focused machines. Adding these would make an already great gym even better.Overall, I highly recommend Planet Fitness Kelowna for anyone looking for a clean, friendly, and well-maintained gym! Great job Dimitri!

Expérience fantastique: The center is well equipped. There are lots of machines to use, and the layout is well thought out. The 24 hour days are my favourite because I can stay late and take my time to get my workout in. The staff are very friendly and they are quick to assist you with anything that's needed including a tutorial if you're unsure how to use a machine. The fact that the location is attached to the mall makes parking easy and having access to Booster Juice for a pre-workout smoothie is the best!

Expérience positive: It would be better if you could consider adding a few more weight lifting equipment instead of treadmills, along with some cleaning staff to maintain the facility. I believe these additions would greatly enhance the overall experience for everyone.

Expérience négative: The planet fitness in Kelowna is horrible, it is dirty and disgusting and the spa is not managed properly. They also have horrible customer service, we waited in line for 30 minutes to cancel our membership, the girl at the desk was new and overwhelmed and she didn't cancel our membership properly and we were since charged for a membership that we were under the impression was cancelled. When we called we were treated poorly and no refund was issued. Beware of this gym. There are other options in Kelowna that you will be treated much better and the facility is much cleaner.

Expérience négative: Staff are extremely unhelpful with memberships and cancelations, even when talking to a 'supervisor'. The organization is very old-school, stating that they require a written letter to be posted to cancel your membership. They will not accept an email, phone call, or other modern forms of communication. Horrific experience, especially for such a large business chain. It is not worth such awful treatment for a sub-par facility whose intention is to so suck the money out of you. PF - I talked with your 'supervisor' on the phone, he was incredibly unhelpful and adamant that I would be charged for next months membership because I was unable to come in person or post a mail to arrive within 6 days to cancel the membership before the next pay period. What kind of large organization in this day and age doesn't have any modern "cancel membership" options. An email, a button on your app, or a phone call?. I have no desire to further any communication regarding this issue as you are clearly incompetent in handling it correctly.

Expérience positive: Pretty decent gym, especially for the price. Pros: Very spacious, good location, lots of parking, great amenities (change room/black card access area…), tons of cardio machines and most of the weight machines you’d need. Friendly staff, usually get a thumbs up or a smile when coming and going. Cons: If a machine breaks, it takes a while for them to fix it. Almost too much cardio and not enough weights. Often people need to step into the “30 minute workout” area to use machines that aren’t available. I get that it’s designed to be different from the usual gyms and to discourage meat heads, but they could exchange a row of cardio for machines. All in all it’s pretty good value.

Expérience négative: My experience at this location today was absolutely uncalled for and not acceptable. I was on my last workout, doing step ups onto a plat form with weight. While working out I saw a young girl who worked there mopping. As I was doing this workout I saw her getting closer so I nicely asked if she could mop around me as I did not want to slip and fall, where she replied “you could move over there” where I then stated that it was inconvenient for the client as I was already mid way through my workout. After this, I continued and it was very clear she was purposely getting in my way as she started mopping under my platform and very very close to me. I stopped and asked her to please give me my space so I don’t trip on the wet floor(again I was not rude or asking much of her), where she replied “well I told you, you could move. I’m trying to do my job so just shut up” I was absolutely shocked, packed up my stuff and left in distress. To add, there was no wet floor signs present in the mopping area, and for someone who works in customer service, this was totally unacceptable. My boyfriend was present and is now thinking of ending his pass and going somewhere else due to this. No client who comes to the gym to unwind and be healthy should be treated like this.

Expérience négative: Worst gym in the Okanagan, it reeks of B.O. and rotten onions. Terrible selection of equipment, they don't even have 1 bench press. Limited quantity of popular work out machines with people with no etiquette and or awareness of time. Also, the rude and unreasonable staff mislead and lied about the cost of membership.

I strongly recommend, because: - An extensive selection of modern equipment, from cardio machines to weight training areas and functional fitness zones. - large, open workout areas with plenty of space for all activities - A comfortable and non-crowded experience. - Friendly and professional staff that are always available to assist - Dedicated spaces for different types of exercises - possible to train without interruption and at your own pace. - Centrally located in town: easy access to public transportation and ample parking facilities. - Located within Orchard Park Shopping Centre: you would enjoy amenities like cafes, restaurants, and shops, making it easy to fit fitness into daily routine.

Expérience positive: My first time at Planet Fitness: First off it was a process just to get a drop in, ID sign ups signatures and pictures. Seemed like overkill and a bit of a hassle and frustrating after a long day at work. The change room was large, clean and nice overall. I noticed above the change rooms they have a big bold sign saying "Judgement free zone" so ok I knew planet fitness is a woke establishment what ever. But then I walk further into the building and see another sign describing what a "lunk" is. It seems they actually do judge people here, that is if you wear a workout tank top and drink out of a gallon jug, grunt, drop weights or judge other people.. I mean they even got what looks to be a flashing blue light in the middle of it. How tf is it activated I don't know. The barbells only go up to a measly 60lbs. Decent selection of dumbell, the usual. No conventional bench press, super weird. Most the equipment is actually pretty nice and in good condition. I didn't come across anything broken was wasn't put out of service. However they have wayyyy to much cardio equipment, maybe that's good if they have classes but to me it's just taking up alot of space with only about 20% of those machines in use. They have a few water fountains, no waits. The crowd here seems alright, definitely diverse it feel like edmonton. The place is clean and well lit, they have these cool looking massive ceiling fans biggest I've ever seen. The staff are good amd are just doing their job, I'm sure they didn't appreciate me grinding them for the drop in hassle but they handled it well. I won't be back or bother visiting any other locations in the chain. I'm just another "lunk" with a low tolerance for woke hypocrisy.

Expérience négative: Well Done … Management … A guy jump on my machine while i using it , spit on me when i talk , bully me , and when i defend myself . management Ban me from the Gym just because they wanted me to walk away when someone bully me as stupid indian … stupid Management , even RCMP was there and ask me if i wanted taking any action against him for spitting on me , Management was telling me later they didn’t saw spit in cameras… Then dude change ur cameras and get better one worst management ever , my friend lost her stuff then ur cameras didn’t work to find her stuff … Don’t waste ur time and money …

What makes my morning workout even better is your staff. Manpreet and Jaspreet are welcoming, friendly and funny. It is very early in the morning but they start me off with a smile. Amazing customer service by most of the members here especially Manpreet and Jaspreet as they are always helping people and smiling. These guys interac very well and never let anyone unattended.

Expérience positive: If you're into cardio and using machines, and you don't mind waiting during peak hours, the $15 a month might be worth it. But if you're into bodybuilding and need free weights, don't bother. They have limited weights and no free barbells. There are 4 Smith machines, but good luck getting to use one without a long wait.

Expérience fantastique: Great place to work out, loads of state of the art equipment, friendly staff, excellent hours of operation, spacious areas for stretching, 30 minute circuit for people who want a quick workout, water massage chair, tanning rooms, and alot of people who genuinely care about the rules for gym etiquette…plus the price is unbeatable!!!!

Expérience négative: I'd rate them zero Stars if I could. They will not allow me to cancel my account when I'm in rehab. They told me I have to be there in person no matter how many times I've told them I can't make it there cause I'm trying to get clean in rehab and so they continue to charge me and won't cancel my account. Never again! They literally hung up on me just telling them I can't make it there and want to cancel rude staff!

Expérience négative: The staff members are unhelpful when it comes to canceling your service. They neglect to assist you and leave you waiting in line despite having no other pressing matters to attend to. Furthermore, they charge you for unused services and when I requested to speak to their manager to file a complaint, they simply provided me with an email address and implied that my concerns would not be addressed, as the same individual would handle the matter.

Expérience positive: I love the amenities here over my old gym, and MOST of the staff is nice with good customer service. However, I don't find the gym very clean. It can be 11am and when I drop my mat down, big balls of hair and dust fly away. The floor is not kept as clean as it should be. Whoever is doing the cleaning isn't doing a good enough job in corners etc, or they aren't doing it every night or morning. Also the tvs require wired headphones to listen to them... No one uses those anymore... I've already brought up to them that the tvs should have subtitles for hearing impaired and they didn't seem to care, but also they should just be on there for everyone. My other gyms all had it. Also, if I ask to use a vip tanning bed and it's a 20 minute wait, and I ask to use a ten minute massage chair in the mean time, since no one is using them, they will say no. Which is ridiculous because I pay to use those amenities and if no one is using something, I should be able to use it, whether I'm on the wait list for another item or not.

Expérience positive: Been going for over a month and although I mostly enjoy it and will continue with my membership, the forthought surrounding the monthly cost of the gym and the amount of people who will take advantage of that seemed lost on the owner prior to opening. They should have a chosen a bigger space or did two Kelowna locations. Pros: relatively clean (sometimes the garbages are overflowing and dust balls around machines), lots of cardio equipment, modern, clean bathrooms. Cons: too many people -- constantly waiting for machines to open up, never any room in the freeweight section, people hovering while you work out so they get your machine next which is beyond uncomfortable, can be extremely odorous (that's not on PF -- just gross to try to breath through), and no one walks around to ensure people are cleaning the machines after use or not using two machines at once. I've had to finish workouts at home because there are no mats, balls, freeweights etc. available. Frustrating. Also, wish we were given cloth towels to use to clean instead of all that papertoweling. How awful for the environment! Please consider a second location. We are bursting at the seams.

Went to Kelowna gym to be told that they cant help me. Told me to email customer service. It has now been 5 months ,no reply. You make the call if you want to support a company with poor customer service.

Expérience négative: Its taken me a long time to step out of my comfort zone and want to get healthy again. The staff at Planet Fitness who helps register, I believe her name is Nauv..provides the worst customer service I have ever experienced. She has a very angry tone, rolls her eyes, snaps at you and is very unpleasant. Our first experience for the trial was awful, she was so rude to the four of us who wanted to try out the gym. We asked for a tour she told us to tour ourselves...and when we tried to test the black spa ammenities she aggressively yelled at us and told us we were not allowed to be there. How were we to know? Regardless we decided to register the next day. Upon arrival, the experience was no better. She continued to be snappy, lack of information. When we asked about how the guest pass works and how the ammenities work it seemed we were a nuisance to her for asking these questions. I gave her the benefit of the doubt maybe she is just tired. But when I went back to ask another question she rolled her eyes and let out a sigh. At the point, I give up. Me building up the strength to better myself only to get beat down at the front door is crazy. The other staff are quite nice, it was just that one woman...I hope you learn to practise kindness to your future customers. It can make a difference in someone's day. Edit to add: Morning staff were AWESOME very positive and professional! LITERALLY NIGHT AND DAY!

Expérience négative: I received extremely poor customer service from management; I believe the managers names were Gordon and Dimitri. I was a member of this gym for a few months and had nothing but praise for the establishment. Around a year ago, I moved out of Kelowna and had to cancel my membership as a result. I went in-person to the gym to cancel my membership and filled out all of the necessary paperwork. I was informed that my membership was cancelled and I went on my way. I was just made aware today that my membership was not successfully cancelled and I have been getting charged for a membership that I have not used a single time for over eleven months, as I have not been living in Kelowna since. I called the establishment to cancel my membership and perhaps receive a refund for the months which I was falsely charged for. I was informed that I will not be receiving any refund and that I will not be able to cancel my membership without submitting a formal letter to the establishment. This is extremely upsetting and unfortunate because this issue is a result of employee error and myself, the customer, was the one who paid the price as a result. I will never again become a member of Planet Fitness due to this extremely disheartening experience. I hope this location reconsiders the customer service that they give to their members.

Expérience positive: It is a good gym but the only problem i faced was that i am 18 and its available for 19+ without consent else you have to get a consent from your parents or guardians if you are less than 19.

Expérience positive: I’m very happy with our Kelowna location. The staff are amazing and extremely helpful. It’s also very clean location as well. The only thing I would like to see change is to have a chair in the rooms where the tanning beds and the red light therapy equipment is. The reason for me, wanting chair instead of a stool is due to the fact that I have a disability and I’m recovering from two surgeries I’m using Planet Fitness to help in my rehabilitation I ended up having to sit on the floor to change my clothes after tanning because I cannot sit On the stools. I would love to see this change at our location as I am sure that there’s other people that also have disability and need a chair instead of a stool. thank you

Expérience fantastique: Easy fun environment to work out in. It’s clean and there is zero pressure to work out a certain way. I absolutely love this gym not to mention extremely affordable!

Expérience négative: About four months ago I went in to planet fitness in Kelona Orchard Park Mall to sign up for a membership. That day, they were getting in a new computer system or there system was down I’m not entirely sure but as a result they were having trouble signing me up. I signed online documents, but the lady working (Kayla) said they did not go through. I also had not activated my credit card at the time so I had to put my debit card on file instead. When they tried to get me to pay the enrolment fee that also would not work. I downloaded the app and tried to get that sorted out on my end but when I tried to scan in it would not work. She told me I would have to come in tomorrow to finish signing up for the membership as it was not working that day. They allowed me to go in and use the gym that day even though I was not a member yet. I didn’t end up getting in the next day to finish signing up and I decided I did not want to go through with the membership so I did not return. Recently I discovered that I had been charged monthly and did not notice. When I went in to cancel my membership and request a refund I was denied the refund even after explaining the situation. They told me they did have my signatures, but I still had not paid the enrolment fee. Since they had my signatures they would not refund me even though I was told the day I tried to sign up that they did not received my signatures on the system. I have not been to the gym once as u can see on my account because she was clear that the system was not working and they could not sign me up for my membership. So naturally I did not know that I did in fact have one. I see it as pretty unreasonable to not refund me considering these circumstances. I think that it is a lovely gym but lacking greatly in customer service. I’m very unhappy because that’s a significant amount of money I am losing to no fault of my own.

Expérience positive: The Management and staff, are good at keeping the equipment and facility, clean, and in good working order.Proper Gym Etiquette, is encouraged, and although Not overly trained, are available to assist new members with their exercise programs

Expérience positive: Very nice beginner and intermediate gym for the price. Love the spa option as a bonus. Can be overcrowded sometimes, so make sure to check crowd meter before coming. Also wish it was 24/7, hopefully it will become in the near future.

Expérience négative: It's really hard to even want to sign up here when the front desk girls negative attitude amd lack of attention in wanting to help you become a member is a negative experience. When your having to repeat yourself constantly because they not listening to you with lack of gym/pf knowledge you wonder why are they working at front desk! Or not just direct you to someone who can help you!? worse the same girl at the front desk really reeked of bad unpleasant body odor! The smell ruined my experience and wouldn't go away! I will,say that gym from distance looks big! But I didn't see it enough to know what it has,to offer!

Expérience négative: Recently experienced this gym. Untrained or poorly trained staff. The most friendly is tai chi he's a good employee. I have personally cleaned up garbage that has been laying around. Multiple people do not follow gym etiquette and talk on phones while on the machines and do not get in trouble for it. Staff and patrons violate policy but when you attempt to address it they target you and cancel your membership with little to no explanation and power trip. Gordon violated my human rights and freedoms offered through the Canadian charter and I tried to educate them and they threatened to call security and cancel my membership after attempting to restrict my freedom of expression and religion/spiritually for saying waheguru even though they employ Sikhs. Doesn't make sense, very double standards. I went to temple for 9 months and was encouraged to say waheguru but all of the sudden it's offensive to say waheguru when you call out others behaviours. Gordon you were being paid and you violated your policy and contract with Canada by violating my rights. I have attempted to resolve this through emails and keep getting ignored, I do not trust the staff to be honest and fair any longer. I have asked for contact Info for the regional manager to resolve this and I've notified other regions of this gyms mistake. Literally cleaned up the gym, smiled, worked out, cleaned up after myself and got "cancelled" for whistling and saying waheguru while others are allowed to freely break the rules that are posted on the wall. HYPOCRISY AT ITS FINEST. Would not recommend this location I've had no issue at any other planet fitness and I feel sorry for the actual owner of planet fitness to have to pay for such incompetent management.

Expérience fantastique: I recently joined and it’s great. I joined because of the cost which is very reasonable. This also attracts a lot of people and so the gym is quite busy, however, there are enough benches and weights that at the time I go it isn’t a problem. I will be going here regularly for a while, it’s a good gym and a great addition to Kelowna.

Expérience négative: From my experience the manager at this location is great. He answers all of your questions and addresses your concerns, and most of the staff are really nice, however it’s been 4 months since PF has had issues with their AC unit. For the past 4 months I haven’t been able to use the tanning beds without feeling like I’m going to have heat stroke, and now the stand ups are over heating as well, so badly that you can’t even hold on to the bars as they burn your hands. It shouldn’t take 4 months to fix this issue, if one supplier can’t get the part they need, find another supplier that can. The only good thing about this gym was the amenities. If they don’t address this issue fast they’re going to lose a lot of clients. A lot of my colleagues have canceled their memberships already. Very frustrating, if it wasn’t for the manager and the staff I’d give this gym 0 stars.

Expérience fantastique: Amazing experience with this company, not only just a great place to work out; but incredibly clean large facility, showers, locker rooms, tanning and massage facilities... they must have "every thing for every body"! not to mention kind, friendly and helpful staff...we will use our membership on both sides of the border (US and Canada)..oh, did I mention organized, thoughtful and honest!

Expérience négative: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 stars for the gym equipment and facilities. They're top-notch and always clean and well-maintained. -10 ⭐️ stars for customer service. Unfortunately, I had a not-so-great experience with their customer service. They tell you the things about contract after you sign it. These people are just after your money. which left me feeling frustrated. This is the message for the owner of this gym please provide the proper training of customer service to assistant manager and manager. The are the top faces of your gym those need to be polite and humble. 1 star for the undefined rules. It's really important for a gym to have clear guidelines so that everyone knows what's expected of them. Unfortunately, this gym seems to lack that clarity, which can be confusing and frustrating for members. Don’t reply with your copy- past answer which says that come to the gym and staff will help you. I went to the gym and that turned the things worst and I canceled my membership. Overall, I would say my experience with this gym has been a bit disappointing due to the customer service and undefined rules. Hopefully, you will improve in these areas and provide a better experience for your members.

Expérience positive: I'm not really giving a review but more looking for somewhere to ask the question of is there such thing as a gym buddy system??? I took the initial step of getting a membership, but I've yet to use it I don't feel motivated on my own and I'm looking for someone to help me with this. Sorry I came to this review area but I couldn't find a place to ask.

Expérience fantastique: Lots of equipment, all in good shape. Friendly staff. Rarely crowded. Wear headphones if you want to listen to your own music.

Expérience fantastique: This is a fantastic gym! I tried out many when choosing a membership & I am happy I chose Planet Fitness! I can use the gym in other cities too. I enjoy the black spa area and the facilities are always clean. I never wait for machines as there are a lot. There is a great 30 min circuit and a stretching area as well as beautiful machines for every body part. This is a gym for anyone to feel comfortable in!

Expérience fantastique: The gym is well maintained and very clean. Every staff member including the manager works really hard and they're always polite and helpful. It's a very busy gym and yet I've never had a problem getting a proper workout each time I've been there. They have most machines that you would require, minus squat racks and free weights a few back machines missing but it's not a deal breaker. They have tanning beds that are really clean and massage chairs as well as hydro and it's very relaxing in the spa area. I'll probably be there for as long as it remains the same.

The clean washrooms were a welcome sight, reflecting the gym's commitment to hygiene and member satisfaction. Moreover, the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Expérience positive: Pro : Big, fairly clean, lots of machines Con : 1. Small lockers, very little bench space in change room and 1 toliet. 2. Free weights are only to 80lbs 3. Alot of members are quite smelly, I'm not going to name a demographic, but you'll know if you go. Over all its cheap, equipment is new and staff has been nice to me. For the price it's tolerable based on my con's.

Expérience positive: Affordable and enough equipment to get a great workout in. Lacking in a few areas such as a free weight bench or squat rack, only smith machines available. It is very very busy though and sometimes difficult to get the equipment you need especially any free weights.

Expérience négative: Went in to check it out and the staff were inattentive, didn't answer any of our questions or offer up information, and seemed put out that we were there at all. We decided to get a workout in despite knowing we wouldn't be getting passes and found it was busy in the proper gym equipment (no squat rack other than a machine). Would not recommend for gym lovers - seems great for cardio if you can handle the poor customer service.
