Expérience positive: I’ve been to movati all over Ottawa and Alberta and unfortunately this one is slipping. Its pretty busy most of the time and the shower steam and sauna areas need more attention. Most of everything is outdated
Expérience fantastique: I visited the Movati Orleans location yesterday and had an unexpected incident that truly highlighted the incredible customer service at this facility. While using the sauna, I accidentally dropped my chain, which slipped between two pieces of wood, becoming stuck in a spot I couldn’t reach. Feeling a bit flustered, I approached the staff for assistance. Dan and Alicia immediately reassured me and went above and beyond to ensure my chain was safely retrieved. Their dedication and willingness to help truly impressed me. It’s rare to encounter staff who go out of their way to resolve an issue with such genuine care and efficiency. Their efforts turned what could have been a frustrating experience into a positive one. Thank you, Dan and Alicia, for your outstanding service and for going the extra mile to assist me. Movati Orleans has earned my trust and appreciation, and I won’t hesitate to recommend this location to anyone seeking not only great facilities but also exceptional staff support.

Expérience négative: Today, on Wednesday, November 6th, 2025 after my swimming went in the sauna. There was a girl inside with her sweater with hoody on her head with headphones and outdoor sport pants and dirty outdoor shoes. Just like in a park in a very small sauna! She was sitting on the top floor stepping with her dirty shoes on the first floor of the sauna, listening the music, looking at her mobile phone. Just like in a park! I was very disturbed as her dirty shoes was just next to my sitting place, I immediately left. I told the situation someone at the reception. He was very surprised thanking me he said he was going to take care of it. After 15 minutes while I was waiting for my husband , I asked the guy at the reception if he handled the situation. He said ”what situation?” I told him about the girl in the sauna! He said she hadn’t come out yet! I told him how he would know who she was!! He said “he couldn’t go inside women section” I said “send a female”. He suddenly became aggressive and said “What is your name?” I told him my name not understanding what relevant it was! I said I wanted to talk to his supervisor. “I am busy now I can not call her“ I said “I wanna see her now.” He said he needed to go inside of the room to do his job! I said “I am waiting and want to see her in 2 minutes”. Then he called her. A lady arrived. I told her the situation. She looked very professional, listened to me, very calmly. She apologized on behalf of the one at the reception. She told me that she understood and was going to go inside and have a look. I described her very clearly. She came out 2 minutes later. She said there was no girl like that inside! I thanked her and after she left I went in. When I went in I saw her that she was there with the same outfit. I went out and looked for the supervisor to tell her. However I couldn’t find her In the meantime the girl with the dirty shoes came out from the women’s fitting room and going to leave. I had to stop her because Movati did nothing. I stopped her and said she was with her outside shoes in the sauna plus her all outdoor clothes! In the meantime the supervisor arrived. I told the supervisor it was that girl. The girl started to defend herself saying that she had forgotten her sandals at home!! Means she admitted ! The supervisor was surprised but did nothing. The girl started to say if I was normal, if I was sick! Because Movati staff was doing nothing I was responding her that it was inappropriate and not hygienic at all. she went outside! I told the supervisor why not talking to her! But no action! Outside, the other supervisor who was very young maybe in his early 20s was talking to the girl and someone I didn’t know. When she saw me again she said if I was sick or what and she started to cry. I told her she should learn how to go in the sauna! These were happening in front of 2 supervisors! The young one told me to stop! I said why! He said because I had followed her outside!!! He threatened me that he was going to call police. I said call the police otherwise I was going to call the police. He didn’t. By the way she got in the car and she and the big guy left immediately! I was shocked how I had became the guilty one!!! Then I told her that I wouldn’t want to stay with this club anymore and wanted to cancel my membership immediately without penalty. This is the end of my Movati story! I think they have very unprofessional staff that they don’t know how to talk to customers, how to handle situations. Their slogan is “ Movati is for everyone “ which is written in the women’s room. It seems, it is for everyone whatever they do, even no matter the hygiene, the attitude , the cleanses as long as they get money!
Expérience positive: I love the gym. I hate that they crammed many into a class you can’t even see the instructor and have to move around everywhere for space. They also allow people to participate in a class that’s full of people who registered. I wouldn’t recommend the classes for this reason.
Expérience fantastique: I’m really glad I finally joined this gym. After trying out and loving hot yoga at another studio, I decided to find out about Movati yoga classes. The cost was about the same as the yoga studio, and I am able to do so much more than just hot yoga. All of the classes I’ve done so far are great and the staff and instructors are always so friendly and helpful.

Expérience négative: when i came to sign up 1month ago i made sure to tell the sales guy that i mainly want to get a membership here for the reformer pilates classes, and he only mentioned that it's starting in september. To my surprise after 1 month it's not included in the membership. Which is fine but lying or hiding stuff is really not so nice i feel like i get scammed.

Expérience négative: They have a terrible exploitative payment structure designed to keep you signed up or pay exorbitant fees. Not worth it especially with pools being booked all the time and machines breaking down
Expérience négative: They push their app so hard yet it is useless. Drove 45 minutes here just for the hot tub to be out of order again. They designed a new app yet didn’t have a function to let members know when their services are out of order. Would have been nice to know before I wasted an hour and a half coming to the gym I pay good money for.
Expérience négative: I'm very disappointed with Movati, especially the General Manager, Samuel Merritt. My headphones were stolen by the staff, and despite acknowledging they had them, the gym later claimed they were lost. Samuel's response was dismissive, refusing to take any responsibility. The lack of accountability and transparency is unacceptable. I strongly recommend avoiding this gym.

They are thieves with disrespectful staff especially Daniel who lied about being a manager when his shirt said account representative. It seems like disrespect and basic ettiquettes escape the staff of this club. They are very misleading corrupt and immoral with their memberships and fees and based of the reviews of this and the other locations in Ottawa it seems like this is a common practice for them. Going to corporate and social media with this story! Avoid at all costs!! Do better Movati! You are supposed to be a health and wellness club yet it seems like your rival Planet fitness has better service, prices and moral practices than you!
Expérience fantastique: Been a faithful member for years ongoing. I recently joined Movati a month ago, since I had stopped when Covid hit. Feels wonderful being back at the gym once again and being in my happy place. Fitness and heath is my go to for mental health and physical health
Expérience fantastique: Movati Athletics is hands down the best gym I've ever been to! The facilities are top-notch, especially the sauna, steam room, and pool, which I always use and absolutely love. The sauna and steam room are perfect for unwinding after a workout, and the pool is inviting. Although it can be busy. The entire gym is clean, well-maintained, and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Whether you're there for a serious workout or some relaxation, Movati Athletics has it all. Highly recommend!

Some of the patrons that do come here however are a bit weird though. Saw a guy earlier this week throw a fit over a $2 towel fee. The staff handled it accordingly though in a mature and efficient manner.

Expérience négative: Do not ignore the negative criticism for this club. I’ve been a member for 2 years, meaning I’ve BEEN paying. There’s alot of gyms that open 24/7 so I only kept my membership there for the pool since they had a women only, it was really convenient, well I thought it was convenient. The pool is always booked with classes and maintenance, I used to just shut up and still kept paying. Now, last night I called to see if the pool was available, they said yes, we get there. there was a class. I just left home. This morning, on my way I called and the guy said it was available, great! I get there, THERE IS CLASSES ALL DAY! no, like seriously all day. I then decided to cancel my membership on the spot. They did not a give a single care, in fact I still have to pay for the whole month:) To be honest, get yourself a gym membership where they open 24/7 and use the public pools we have in the city, you’ll get better service than a club you’re paying 80$ per month for.

However, this gym is way too overcrowded and packed to a point that you might not be able to use certain types of cardio machines at times or would have to take long pauses throughout your workout to use the next machine. Still, the management tells you that this is normal and they are way under maximum capacity. I also got an eye infection after using their pool…
Expérience fantastique: Amazing Power class yesterday with Julie L. She is the reason I come to MOVATI. Always so well prepared, shares her knowledge and excellent pace. Worth every penny!
Expérience positive: Overall a good gym with lots of amenities.I find it unfortunate that you pay a lot for a membership and some classes like pilates fill up so quickly that its almost impossible to make a booking. They should add more classes.
Expérience négative: Edit #1- Almost two weeks and radio silence from Movati, and still havent been refunded the payment taken. I requested to speak to the General Manager. Nothing... Edit 2 - so refund appeared same day as first edit. Apparently, they CAN refund to your account. I was told it couldn't be done and had to wait on a cheque to be mailed. Super unsatisfied. Please tell me how a merchant can continue to keep banking information on file and charge someone who has met and successfully transferred over their account. It was done in more than enough time before the payment. I actually paid a payment day of.. I am reading the Canadian code of practice when it comes to storing clients credit /debit information, I don't think it's really aloud. FOR THIS REASON. We no longer have any contract together and I have requested to have my banking information removed from the account that has been transferred to another member and its been denied? Looking at filing an official complaint as I believe, continuing to be charged and having to jump through hoops to have the funds returned is WRONG. If you take the money from my account, put it back. Save yourself a hassle.
Expérience fantastique: Friendly staff and great selection of classes. However, you need to register for all classes, and spots are limited. This prevents overcrowding.
Expérience positive: Large, beautiful facility for fitness. Multiple rooms for cardiovascular workouts, weight training and a large pool. Saunas and steam rooms. Handsome rest areas near well-stocked juice bar. I engaged a personal trainer who puts me through great hour-long workouts designed for strength. Methods are professional, beginning with stretches, cardio and working up. Trainers are friendly. There is online interaction. My trainer, Owen, is knowledgeable and always upbeat and fun. Everyone knows his workouts are intense. I recommend Movati.
Expérience positive: I really enjoy Movati and go often for their classes. Specifically level 2 hoop with Janet and kettlebells with Stefan. Having a women’s only pool and workout space is very appreciated. The smoothie bar always has a featured smoothie / deal of the month. I have a great time at this gym!
Expérience négative: Poor customer service. Went back on their word. When signing up, they offered to extend the expiry start date of a promotion so my +1 guest would be able to participate with me. When we later arrived with the coupon/waiver, the same individual told us that we must have misheard her and that Movatti would not honour the promotion. Don't trust any special deals they offer you unless you get it in writing. Very disappointing.

Expérience fantastique: Love going to this gym! Every single staff is kind, friendly and helpful! I love that it has things like aqua fitness and hot yoga especially... But it has so many other incredible amenities also (hopefully maybe one day massage chairs also!)! The club is also very well maintained and clean, which I super appreciate!! On the topic of clean, there's one particular staff member that I feel needs mentioning! Embang (forgive me if I have the spelling incorrect) is a true gem!! She has such an amazing spirit and I honestly look forward to seeing her when I come in!! I feel like often times cleaning staff get overlooked, but she definitely deserves a kudos!! ❤️ Thank you to every single staff member who help make everyone's visits enjoyable!!

Mostly these members are not lying or exaggerating based on my experience being a member here I can attest to most of it. If you don't read this whole review, PLEASE READ YOUR MEMBERSHIP AGREEMENT WITH A FINE TOOTH COMB. YES, THIS GYM IS ONE OF THOSE PLACES THAT WILL LIE AND ROB YOU IN HEARTBEAT. If you're okay with paying approx. 1.2k a year for equipment that works sometimes, washrooms/changing rooms that are clean sometimes with a sprinkle of IDGAF service & safety issues, sign up! Sanitation, disorganization, bad equipment, dishonest/rude staff & etc. ALL that aside, THE MOST IMPORTANT thing is that if you have a concern, problem or emergency of any kind, I can just about guarantee that it will fall on deaf ears. The most basic and most important thing in all service industries is customer care and they fail monumentally in that category. I've had several bad experiences here but more recently my #MOVATINIGHTMARE experience is that they sold me on the most expensive plan by saying I could not pay ''aka freeze'' my membership for 3 months and still attend the gym which would save me about $300 annually making the overall cost cheaper than other gyms. Well to my surprise, when I tried to freeze my account & go about my workout, they refused to let me in & had a pay up or leave attitude. Needless to say, management didn't do a single thing to help or take any form of accountability for the so called misunderstanding. They offered that I could freeze my account and pay $5 a day anytime I choose to visit. The math: 7 days a week @ $5= $35/week when I currently pay $25 a week. They literally tried to rob me more sdmh. Amenities & classes are hit or miss with this location mostly miss with this being the worst gym I've been to overall (comparing to Goodlife & Fir4less). I'm eager to see a competitor deliver what MOVATI pretends to offer.

The application for booking classes has been consistently unreliable, and to top it off, my pilates instructor was a no-show last week, leaving me disappointed with the current state of the gym.

Expérience positive: I've been a member at Movati in Orleans for some time now, and while there are aspects of the gym that I enjoy, a few issues have led me to give it a three-star rating. Firstly, the pool area lacks supervision to ensure a peaceful and enjoyable experience. On multiple occasions, I've observed young individuals disrupting tranquillity by diving and being excessively loud. It's disheartening to see that there isn't consistent enforcement of rules and regulations to maintain a serene environment. Moreover, the chlorine levels in the pool water are quite high, leaving members with a strong odor that persists even after multiple showers. It would be beneficial if the gym management could address this concern to enhance the overall experience for members. One noteworthy drawback is the inflexibility regarding membership pauses. If you're planning to be away and wish to halt your membership temporarily, Movati only allows this if the days coincide with your regular payment schedule. This policy appears somewhat tricky and doesn't seem to align with the convenience that members often seek. Another area of improvement lies in customer service. There have been instances where the service desk personnel have been engrossed in phone conversations, seemingly ignoring members waiting for essentials like towels. This has resulted in several instances where I've had to wait for an extended period, which can be frustrating. In summary, Movati in Orleans offers a decent gym experience, but there are notable areas that could be improved to elevate the overall satisfaction of its members. Addressing the issues with pool supervision, chlorine levels, membership pauses, and enhancing customer service responsiveness would go a long way in creating a more positive and enjoyable environment for all members. yesterday I visited Movati for a swim and was quite disappointed with my experience. Upon arriving at the pool, I was shocked to find a group of young adults throwing a ball across the pool, disrupting the peaceful environment. Their behavior not only disturbed the atmosphere but also posed a safety risk as it hindered other swimmers from enjoying their time in the pool. What was even more disappointing was the apparent lack of intervention from the management despite being aware of the situation. I spoke to a staff member who informed me that they had already warned the group, yet they continued their disruptive behavior unchecked. Considering the presence of surveillance cameras throughout the facility and the accessibility of the front desk to monitor such activities, it's disheartening that no action was taken to address this issue. As a member, I expect a certain level of respect for the facility rules and the comfort of other patrons. Unfortunately, this experience fell short of that expectation, ultimately leading to my decision to leave. I hope that Movati takes proactive measures to ensure a more enjoyable and peaceful environment for all its members in the future.

Expérience négative: The staff and management at this club have complete disregard for the safety of their members privacy. I have made my concerns known about people using cell phones in the amenity areas (pool, sauna, etc..) for over a year to no avail. I even suggested some sort of sign asking members to leave such devices in lockers when using the amenities. I attempted to raise this concern once again with the front staff and found myself being subjected to interrogation style questioning regarding what kind of apps the member was using etc.. One staff member continued to harass me for several minutes despite the manager being present and me asking the individual to stop what they were doing as they were causing the escalation. Based on their signage they only seem to be concerned with people who are obviously filming. I challenged that it is quite easy for people to film while ‘pretending’ to use their phone. While I was later shown empathy, compassion and understanding before leaving the club, I wanted to follow up with management on what can be done to avoid these types of situations. The answer. Revoke my membership and allow people to continue using cell phones in private areas. How this management has handled these types of serious privacy concerns is shameful at best. Probably better off calling the police as I don’t even think there is anything they can do is you suspect someone of secretly recording. This should really be zero stars but can’t give it!

Expérience fantastique: From the moment I stepped into the gym, I was amazed at how clean and majestic the changing rooms and the gym were and the front desk (God bless them) were nice and even provided me with a quick tour that showed me how the gym looked.
Expérience positive: Love this gym. Been coming here for years now and the staff is awesome, the cleanliness is good but the team could do better to stay in top of having clean wipes available. Honestly the only downside to this place is the self entitled members. People have no respect for privacy and using phones in the chsngerooms and hot tub and pool to make video chats with friends. Making the changerooms smell like Body spray . Both issues have signed that people clearly ignore.
Expérience négative: No massage chairs, the pool water makes your skin disgusting and smell like chlorine for days after showering and scrubbing your skin with soap wayy more then usual. The shower area is very outdated terrible shower heads/water flow all showers look very disgusting for the price we pay every month ($100/month) they should be upgraded and more modern nice & confortable. They close wayy too early on weekends, it should be open 24/7. I was going to multiple locations until one day they decided to not let me go through at a different location…? Really pissed me off, I had a class to get to. No belly Dancing classes in Orleans.
Expérience fantastique: This place is incredible. The staff is so kind and sweet. The manger Aleen was willing to answer all my questions and took time out of her day to continuously help me. This location is so clean and has everything a gal like me could ever need. 10/10 recommend to anyone who is on the fence about signing up!
Expérience négative: I have been trying to cancel my membership since over a month and a half ago. Customer service has still not fixed my problem. I'm a student and these payments are putting me in a bad financial position. I wanted my suscription cancelled in August, it is now October and I am still paying. Refund these payments.
Expérience positive: The gym itself is great. However, the woman who signed me up felt privileged enough to call the person I provided solely as an emergency contact in the hopes of selling them a membership. Anywhere else, and this is a privacy act breach.
Expérience fantastique: In my humble opinion, I believe this gym is one of the best quality gyms in the world. I LOVE the pool, especially the relaxing moments in the sauna. Expérience négative: HORRIBLE customer service!!! Front desk staff (Damion) was so incredibly rude. I have been a loyal gym member at Movati for some time now. I always show up when I book a class and have never called to try and cancel a reservation outside of the 2 hour window before… however, late this afternoon (July 28) my son started throwing up and had a fever…. I am a single mom and have no one else in the home to be able to watch him while he was sick. So I called and spoke to the front desk and asked to cancel my reservation for the 5:30 drum class. It was over 1.5hrs notice. I spoke to Damion who was unbelievably rude and unprofessional when talking to me. Not only did he refuse to cancel my reservation because it was outside the 2 hr reservation window, he also refused to tell me whether it was gym policy or if he physically could not cancel the reservation (because the software wouldn’t let him etc). When I explained the extenuating circumstances with my son falling ill, He said to me “so you want to be treated different from everyone else, I’ll make note of that.” I am not asking to be given special treatment but I do think movati should have some flexibility and compassion for when a child falls ill or someone gets in a car accident etc… or what about the recent tornado that hit Ottawa? If there’s an emergency and we are told to shelter in our homes, are we still going to be penalized for not making our workout class? He was so incredibly rude to me on the phone, didn’t care one bit that my son was sick and did nothing to help me. I asked to speak to a manager and was told no one was available but they’d call me as soon as they were off the phone. However it’s been over 2 hours and no one has called me… I am extremely disappointed with the customer service provided by Movati Orleans. I attend a class 5-6 days a week, I buy smoothies etc and I pay almost $90/month for my membership and to be treated this way was absolutely unacceptable.

Expérience fantastique: Started going to the Orleans location last year. Cole (personal trainer) reached out shortly after too see if I'd be interested in personal training sessions. Took him up on the opportunity and started working towards some goals. My main priorities were to correct my form to prevent injuries and building strength. He would assess the sessions as time went on and would know how to reduce or when it was time to give me a challenge. It was always a positive experience and felt awesome when you could see the progress through each session. He has helped give me confidence in the gym and can actually say I reached some of my goals which without the form correction, has probably saved me from future injuries. I am grateful I had him as a trainer and no doubt, I look forward to working with him in the future.
Expérience positive: This gym has fantastic facilities (pools, saunas, steam room, lifting equipment, etc.). The tidiness of the gym as well as the overall environment is disappointing for the cost. The staff don't keep up with ensuring that gym equipment is put away, and the clients also don't clean up after themselves. This results in gym equipment constantly being left where it doesn't belong and dumbbells often out of order. A lot of teenagers who don't understand how to respect the gym environment and equipment attend this gym, which results in cable machines being slammed down constantly and the attachments being thrown around... As well as teenagers constantly filming their surroundings on their phones, with no regard for who is in the background of their videos. I have no idea why this would be allowed. This results in discomfort to the people surrounding who do not wish to be filmed during their workouts. If another Goodlife location opened up to take the stress off of the one Orleans location, I'd switch immediately .
Expérience fantastique: I took a group training program with Kaitlyn W in winter 2023 that was excellent. The program gave me the skills to confidently weight train on my own. Would highly recommend!

Expérience positive: I really enjoy MOVATI but in an attempt to be diverse and recognize all who enter their doors they forgot that Christians are observing Lent while Muslims are observing Ramadan . We observe Lent for forty days up until Easter Sunday . Thank you for allowing me to respectfully post what may be a genuine oversight .
Expérience fantastique: Love taking the classes with Monique, Nicole, Julie and Meagan. All classes are amazing and I get to know each instructor personally. Everyone at the front desk are very welcoming!

Expérience fantastique: Georges is THE best yoga instructor I’ve ever been to! His speeches at the beginning and end of every class are super inspirational and leave you feeling uplifted and powerful. His classes are challenging and allow you to try new things without judgement.
Expérience fantastique: Not sure what’s up with all the negative reviews, I’m sure they’re valid, but I’ve had nothing but an excellent experience here. I love how clean this gym is. It’s why I come here… that along with all of the amenities and classes. They have a wide variety of exercise equipment and their yoga room that looks out into the trees is sublime! I’m so happy they extended their hours. Staff has been nothing short of friendly and accommodating. 10/10 gym
Expérience négative: The poster for the Valentines Salsa class welcomes everyone. This is a lie. Only members can take the class. Non members have to pay a ridiculous fee of $34 to attend this class. They refuse to honor the information they posted that welcomes everyone. They do t care about customer satisfaction.
Expérience positive: Management: please keep the music off in the basement workout room. Management informed me this was the “quiet” workout room before signing up. I don’t like the gym’s music playlist. Please keep the basement silent.
Expérience fantastique: I worked with Cole Marshal ( personal trainer) for few months. I won’t be exaggerating if I say my life changed. He is an amazing young man and a very knowledgeable trainer. After working with him I feel so much stronger and now I love going to gym, it is not a chore anymore. Thank you Cole Hope you know that you change lives one RDL at the time
Expérience fantastique: Love this gym. I work out in at 5:30 am, so it’s not busy. There are times when it’s packed but I feel it’s worth it. The facility is awesome. Steam room breaks often but other than that I’m happy there. Oh and very delicious expensive shakes

Expérience négative: If I could give it zero stars I would !!! Quick question, why isn’t there a girl on shift during late hours?? I’m sorry but I would like a girl in the GIRLS section when needed. This gym not only has terrible hours but disrespectful, disgusting and cold staff. The boys walk into the girls section with no warning or announcements. I had the worst experience where I felt unsafe, guys coming in late at night barging in the girls locker room and yelling aggressively to get out ??? I didn’t know that was part of the staffs job at MOVATI orleans. They really need to teach the staff some decent customer service. And the so called manager Dallas is so rude to members when sharing their concerns, he literally is a sitting bucket. Sorry not sorry.

Expérience fantastique: Had a tour today with David AuCoin he was FANTASTIC! He was very informative and helpful. Got us set up with memberships and a great deal. Gave us a tour of the building and made sure to answer all of our questions. So excited to start off this year with a membership I will ACTUALLY use!

Expérience négative: Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced in my entire life, her name is Liz and unfortunately she is one of the supervisor in Orleans location. She was extremely rude and unprofessional, instated of answering and explaining the policy of the company she told me “we can't do anything else for you, you should leave now ". She also continued by saying “If you don't like how it works here, maybe you should leave, nobody is forcing you to come here". I asked her for the managers contact information, she proceeds to tell me rudely again "what will you tell him?! He will tell you exactly the same, and by the way, he isn't available for you now!" just leave. What a customer service, This customer service needs a lot of retraining.
Expérience positive: Not many gyms have a swimming pool, a hot tub and 2 spas, dry and steam. Pricey but worth it. I love to swim.

Expérience fantastique: Posting a high recommendation for the fitness instructor Stefan (currently teaching kettlebells)…he is truly brilliant at leading complex body movements which not only work multiple muscle groups, but also keep the class so interesting! The classes are so enjoyable, always.

Expérience fantastique: I joined Movati a few months ago, when the fitness facility that I used for many years closed. The facility is clean, the staff are professional , the instructors very enthusiastic and the variety of classes exceptional. Agree it is more expensive that other athletic facilities, but you at Movati you're getting a superior product, so i'ts worth spending the money.
Expérience fantastique: A place to relax and have your own spa after a long day of work. I went today at 9:30 pm so tired stayed there till they closed at 12 midnight. I came home full of energy and alive again. I know there are lot of competitors around and all good I guess but Movati is not to say good about it , Movati is the best of all , and I tell you the secret it’s the ambience the environment, the minute I enter the lobby I feel great I know I should not have photos but cause I stayed till the end I took pictures where no one was there to show the beauty salon inside, I already posted before the machines Keep it up cause I can’t live without you my Resort GYM
Expérience négative: Make sure you read all the fine print because very poor communication from staff. Part of the promotion when I signed up earlier this year was a $50 gift card, which I had to ask for a few months later as no one gave it to me when I signed up. I went to use it a few months later and was told it expires after 90 days, which no one told me about when they gave it to me. It was written in fine print on the card, but since no one told me when I got it, I assumed it was like all other gift cards. All I got was sorry, your mistake. A really poor customer service experience.

Emma, the new girl was extremely rude and it’s okay to be new and make mistakes but she did not once apologize or show any care. She proceeded to take my money without informing me of the correct information. Dallas, the manager, was the coldest human being I’ve ever met. Not sure how the Orleans location is functioning with staff like this. I was traumatized by my experience at this location. The staff at the Trainyards location seem to be way more professional and kind. I spoke to Lauren and Michael at the Trainyards location and they were both very professional and had excellent customer service skills.

Expérience négative: Even though there is a section for women, the male members of the team walk into the swimming pool area as desired. They don't give a warning, no heads up, nothing at all. They walk in look at the women and walk out, extremely disgusting people. There is no privacy whatsoever. No matter what the excuse is, they could have simply warned the women swimming... as simple as that. So if you're there for the women's section, don't waste your money and time because there is no only women's area, its just advertisement.
Expérience négative: I just read an MSN story about Movati Athletic Club in Orleans, Ontario telling one of their members, Jenna Vecchio, that her top offended them, and that she had to wear something else or leave. ha ha wow. I saw the picture of her top. It was not on bad taste or offensive in any way. It was just fine, and many others felt so, also. It is just that Jenna was big-breasted. They say it was "resolved." They have been stating that in other sites, too. It wasn't. Owners of the Movati Athletic Club are ridiculous.
It has come to our attention that a re-published news article from 2016 is circulating. Please know that this incident was compassionately resolved at that time. MOVATI Athletic’s top priority is to make all our members feel welcome, feel comfortable and feel healthy.
Expérience négative: If I could give this place zero stars I would! There are many issues with Movati. 1. In the women's shower area there are no curtains or lock on the door so customers can walk in any time while you're taking a shower, very uncomfortable. 2. While I was swimming today in the women's pool area a male lifeguard walked in (there wasn't a class btw before or after). 3. Not all the necessary equipments are provided, so you're paying for nothing. 4. the management team is horrible, when I told them about my concerns they said "I'll take a note of that" or "we'll look into this" or "we'll take that into consideration".. after I said I want to cancel my membership they started to take me seriously... its all about the money to them. Also, half their information is inaccurate and the app they use doesn't work properly. I highly recommend GOODLIFE FITNESS, this never occurred when I was there <3
Expérience fantastique: I have a passion for fitness, I even took Fitness and Health in my post secondary. I have had a membership at every single larger fitness company in Ottawa. I for some reason had this misconception that I didn't need a large facility to have an efficient fitness regiment. I accompanied my spouse in a tour of Movati about a year ago because he was interested in becoming a member, I myself had zero intention of changing gym locations or paying for an 'over priced membership' looking back on it now I laugh at myself.. Today - I am a loyal Movati member. I would never leave, genuinely. If you are passionate about your fitness, just go for the tour and you will get to experience what they have to offer. Unlike the other companies everything is included which was huge for me. I always had a fitness membership as well as a yoga studio membership, for me having access to all HOT yoga classes as well as sooo many more options was a no brainer, the classes are might i say.. better than any yoga studio classes I've attended. Movati prides themselves on having the best of the best in every and any aspect. The culture and the other members really make the environment what other places are missing. That being said it was a huge MISCONCEPTION that I had assuming the membership here was overpriced, the price is really no different from other facilities. Just go for a tour, you will be sold.

Expérience fantastique: Orléans Movati is amazing! This gym is fully equipped and so clean, all the Movatis are clean but the Orléans one is especially great at this. The classes are amazing, I love my teachers Kristy, Jenn, Melissa, Julie... you can tell they really enjoy what they are doing and want you to be your best self. The range of classes available is also fantastic - they have some hardcore ones, really fun ones and so many types of Yoga. The hot Yoga room is just inspiring, it makes you want to push yourself and the Sky Studio is such a great concept, especially that it looks out onto a lovely forest. The pools are big, bright and clean. I truly recommend Movati and especially the Orléans location, all the staff is amazing and management is always available to handle any issues. Way to go guys!

When I signed up for the memebetship I was told I would be able to transfer it to someone else, however I was not informed there would be a transfer fee and a 30 days notice, which is just absolutely absurd for a gym that is “high end” and charges 80 plus ted month. Expérience positive: I liked this gym until my locker was broken into. This was a while ago and I ended my membership. The staff kind of rolled their eyes when it happened and said "another one" and had me fill out some form. They blamed it on people with "day passes" and didn't even offer to replace my lock. I guess if it's an ongoing problem they need to find a way to deal with it. Worrying about my belongings while working out isn't that appealing. I'm thinking of trying them again but didn't find they were too concerned about their theft problems. I wonder if the issue has been dealt with.

Expérience positive: Very clean, friendly staff. Alot of great amenities. Signing up for classes can be frustrating. The ones I like are always full. Booking is open 73 hrs before the class. Alot are booked very quickly.

Expérience positive: I like the pool facilities a lot. Classes are challenging, facilities are in good shape and staff are friendly. Only problem i have is everything feels like a sales pitch. I have joined many gyms but none feel as in your face about adding on extras to your membership as movati. Even things that should be included in a basic membership like.being able to go to the other locations in ottawa is an add on. Also guest passes are ridiculous priced. Oh but theres an add on for that too...
