Expérience fantastique: have joined Planet Fitness after a very bad work accident, where i was hurt, and ended up in the trauma ward in hospital. I spent 4 weeks in the hospital and several months doing physio therapy. A big part of that recovery was joining Planet Fitness and getting some help from the trainer. He helped me understand how the equipment works and which ones that offer the greatest benefits ot target my injuries. I feel that has been a huges help getting back to my work much faster than if I just relied on the physio therapy alone. I'm not fully recovered at this point, but I see progress and am heading back to being in better shape than I was before the accident.

There is this one attendant at nights she just disappears from the reception area for 1-2 hours i cannot find her i don’t know if she goes somewhere and sleeps in it is very frustrating and i have to wait for 30-40 min for her to come on the reception and start the hydromassage when i asked her she told she is working alone how is it my problem??

Expérience fantastique: I have been going to this Planet Fitness for a while now. It's really close to home which is great the place is always clean too. The manager Daniel is probably one of the best I have met. He knows everybody by name and is really friendly. I just wish there was more strength building equipment cause its a busy spot Overall though its a great gym to workout at.

Expérience fantastique: I purchased a gym membership the cheapest one yesterday, October 4th, 2024 at Planet Fitness, Pickering. The equipment is in excellent working condition and the front staff are very kind and willing to help you with anything you need!!! I decided to buy a gym membership at Planet Fitness, Pickering because the price is very affordable at $16.95+TAX, the gym is close to home. It is a great gym experience for a beginner like me!!! A++++ for an excellent gym workout experience at Planet Fitness, Pickering!!!

Expérience négative: Good gym for the price, only reason someone would choose to go here. Not many free weights, no conventional bench for bench press, etc. There are 4 smith machines, always packed, it can get annoying when people using smith machine are socializing when all 4 are in use as well as people shouldn't be doing other exercises not using the smith machine (such as using dumbbells) when they are taking up a smith machine. Other than that, I guess you get what you pay for. Update: I am really getting annoyed with some members holding on to the smith machines for the whole hour I am there. If they were working out the whole time, I wouldn't mind it. Today, one couple is talking the whole time (35 m) since I got here, only did 2 sets each. Place is busy have courtesy! I am really considering to cancel my membership and would not reccommend to anyone I know.

Expérience fantastique: Really good gym. Highly recommend. Staff is very friendly, especially the manager Mr KD, he is there night shifts, always encourages me to workout. KD is very welcoming and knowledgeable. 10/10 recommend this place and come meet KD at front counter.

Expérience fantastique: The place is close to home. The staff there are helpful and friendly, they're always there to greet you everytime you come in and leave the gym. The workout areas and equipments are always kept clean and in good working order. Keep up the great work you guys are doing! The gym culture there is awesome! If there's one thing I'd like to recommend is to have extra heavier kettlebells past 30lbs but other than that, it's a great place for fitness and a positive gym culture!

Expérience positive: Clean. No squat racks or bench presses but 4 Smith machines total that everyone uses for chest and legs. NEEDS to be a scent free environment. I appreciate deodorant, but the strong perfumes make me feel sick. That place is really bad for that.

I have started coming in the evenings because my kids are out of school, it's busy as hell, you have to wait for machines, people doing silly stuff, Crocs, jeans haha. Luckily I do mostly on the cardio and just do weights at home, can't wait until summer is over.

Expérience positive: Price is great for a gym, especially now. It has everything that you'd need for general workouts. The free-weight area is pretty small though especially if you go anytime during regular to peak hours. I'd still recommend it to anyone looking to start lifting or veterans who don't want to pay $50 a month.

Expérience fantastique: Big gym with a ton of amenities. The equipment and floor space are always really clean. Not crowded the majority of the time, though during peak hours you might have to wait up to 15 minutes to use certain equipment. Overall this is one of my favourite planet fitness locations to go to.

Expérience fantastique: Great equipment, great hours, great price, and friendly staff. Only negative I can say about it is that lately a few pieces of equipment have been non-operational. However, they are repaired fairly quickly. Keep up the great work!

Expérience positive: It a great gym, bright, clean.The only thing I didn't like is that the Smith machines are to close to the wall, when you have to move the bench there is no place to put so it doens't get in the way, and the plates are everywhere.

Expérience négative: The staff there is absolutely lazy all they seem to do is to chat amongst themselves. There's a few times, I went to get some paper to clean the machine after using it and there's no paper inside the holder to clean the equipments. When you advised the staff of such, they could careless and would not refill them. This is 'ABSOLUTELY' not sanitary.. Planet fitness is fostering a breeding ground for members to get sick and this doesn't leave me feeling safe at all.

Expérience positive: Never really been a gym person. But staff is very friendly and helpful with questions. Can always find a treadmill or bicycle. Might be a tiny wait for some of the machines. For the most part everyone cleans the machines when they are done.

Expérience négative: Sat and waited my turn for TBE only to go in the room and the machine not work, yes I scanned and the guy told me 6 1/2 minutes until the person was out. Went to the front where a trainee was helping someone sign up and no one else was there. Waited around for them to finish only for him to tell me someone else signed up. I said I was before them and then had to run to the room, while he was saying there's nothing he can do, as the person tossed my bag out the door and locked it. So I sat there for at least 20 minutes and wasted my time for what reason? Considering I had singed up AND SCANNED MY BARCODE before the first person was even finished.

Expérience fantastique: Safe, beautiful, and clean environment. All equipments are available. Amazing staff especially their manager Mr. Daniel, very polite, respectful, and helpful person. No doubts that Planet Fitness has the best gyms around the world. Appreciate your efforts Planet Fitness

Expérience fantastique: Just finished a workout at this amazing facility! The gym is super clean with lots of workout equipment to choose from, making it easy to switch up your routine. The larger format gives you plenty of space, and the hydro massage is a must-try if you're a Black Card member. The staff here are always helpful and cheerful, creating a great environment for any fitness journey. Highly recommend!

Great job washing the floors. I love that its open 24/7. Friendly male staff member helped me with the tan set up. It was my first time at this location. I was there approximately 4am

Expérience positive: Pretty good for a basic gym. Open 247. The monthly rate is more than affordable. Start up fees are ughhh unavoidable and unnecessary and just a clever way to inflate the monthly price. For example the 15.99 monthly rate is actually 22.50 plus tax per month after you factor in the annual fee and the start up fee. I jump between this gym and other gyms to shock the muscle as your body will get use to the same machines after a while. You will grow faster the more you confuse your muscle.

Expérience négative: I used a day pass here to try it out and I’m glad they offered that as I would never return and would hate to waste my money. It is way too crowded. You’re going to spend at least half your time waiting for equipment, benches, and cables. It’s fine for basic cardio but if you’re a serious weightlifter, this is not your spot. As for cleanliness, I saw hardly anyone wiping stuff down and they only provide basic paper towel and a spray bottle with very diluted cleaner.

Expérience positive: Good culture and everyone seems polite. Very clean. Also love the black card hydro chairs, they are so nice after a work out. My only complaint is the gym layout. They don't need a good 1/3rd of their cardio machines, even at their busiest hours according to their app, I see at most half being used. But the weights, benches and squat racks are always so busy, with people working out in tight corners due to lack of space. Not the end of the world, and avoidable, just not ideal. Having even some more benches would be great

Expérience négative: I recently moved from Oshawa to Ajax and started coming here . This location should take note on cleanliness from the Oshawa Planet fitness . Garbage everywhere , no papertowels, dirty equipment . Locker rooms are dirty. Also, I see staff at the front desk scrolling through their phones the whole time or basically just standing there doing nothing. Very unfriendly. I'm kind of stuck here because the other ones are too far unfortunately.

Expérience fantastique: Good staff, the machines are not super complicated for beginners but has great options for experts. The locker rooms are clean. Not much you can ask for that price :)

Expérience négative: Had to cancel membership and still got charged for the following full month, which does not start the following day of the day that was canceled.

Expérience positive: My local gym is Barrie but I love coming to the Pickering location when I visit my parents. The updated and variety of equipment is amazing. I wish they would switch the weight training machines out of the Barrie gym for newer machines as they’ve been there since they opened. My issue with the Pickering gym is they don’t gear towards their demographic I’ve never been in this gym at any time where all the cardio machines are being used. It’s a smaller gym but if they took out a row of cardio machines they could get in at least 3 more squat racks. Every time I come I end up leaving without finishing my routine as I’m always waiting for groups of 3-5 guys on every squat rack to finish their sets. They are crowding areas, not mindful of their surroundings and spend 20-30 mins on the squat racks which stops others from being able to use them. UPDATE to Owners Reply. You missed the mark on this. The problem is the amount of cardio machines that don’t get used. Take a row out and put in a couple more smith machines and you’d be gearing towards the demographic that uses the facility.

Expérience fantastique: The Seaton location of Planet Fitness is amazing! The facility is so clean which is extremely important these days especially in places that are used by many people. Staff and clients are always wiping surfaces and the staff are always attentive to cleaning floors, common areas and washrooms. KUDOS TEAM! I love the fact there are lots of machines, different areas for different focus, QR codes on machines to learn how to use them properly and the APP! The App allows you to be proactive in your membership with tools to help you grow. I like the crowd meter so I know what to expect when I walk in. I can't believe I waited so long to join!
