Expérience négative: Please don't join this gym or any fit4less gym. They charge you money without even giving you a notice or emails/messages, EVEN AFTER YOU CANCEL MEMBERSHIP. And when you ask for justification for their mistake, they raise their hands and don't wanna take any responsibility for it. They don't refund you, they just keep taking your money. If you look at their agreement, they make you agree that you can't take any action against their mistakes. CORPORATE DICTATORSHIP!

Expérience positive: Love the staff at this location, super friendly and they do a great job at keeping things clean. For the little money you pay, theres enough equipment there to get a good workout in.

Expérience positive: It’s literally getting fit for less lol. Very friendly and hardworking staff. Even though they don’t have some niche machines (like hack squats, stairmaster, only one squat rack etc) you still have everything you need to get a serious workout for whatever muscle group [if you’re not being extra fancy]. Worth it, especially for the price.

Expérience négative: Changing rooms falling apart. Everyone here at 4 pm. Crowded and nobody wearing shoes or cleaning machines. Staff nowhere to be seen during day, hiding in office. Bathrooms smell like piss and nuts 25/7. Machines out of order for months. Walmart of gyms.

Expérience positive: It is OK for the price. Staff are very nice. But a lot of nautilus equipment is sometimes out of service.

Expérience négative: Great gym facilities but I’m giving 2 stars because watch out for overdraft fees. They only accept debit cards. People, including myself and according to a friend who worked there have horror stories of accumulating hundreds of dollars of NSF and in addition chargeback fees from F4L themselves. Missing one payment you owe 25$ extra on top of the missed payment and then $45 NSF. But they charge those separately so next time around you get 25x2 and 45x2 and missed payment x2. It’s absolutely brutal. Shady and borderline criminal policies.

Expérience négative: Many machines have not been fixed in months. Today there was even a shortage of paper to wipe down the equipment and no soap in the washroom. The place has the feeling of a facility not being supported by the owners, which is unfortunate because they would otherwise have an attractive business model.

Expérience positive: This place is great. Equipment is well maintained. But the only issue is their vending machine that charged me double many times usually I come at night time when the reception is closed and I have no option to talk with them.

Expérience négative: very small! i prefer the Walkley location!

Expérience négative: This is the strangest fit4less I have ever been to. The layout and organization of the machines are extremely awkward. There is no hamstring curl machine, no tricep extsn machine, the bicep curl machine is extremely bizzare. There is no hack squat, there is one squat rack but its very unconventional as it is a curved rack and the spotter arms are not adjustable meaning it is no use for people of different heights. Many Machines out of order and the ones that aren’t don’t adjust well enough. The machines that do work don’t move smoothly. There is no blackcard workout area at this location. Overall this location feels neglected and is lacking essential machines.

Expérience fantastique: My wife and I have been members for about 2 months ,having been members of Gyms across Canada how ever have never been treated like we have by Sam the Manager at the Merivale Rd gym in Ottawa. He provides great advice and is always ready to help you with your program. Makes for a pleasant workout. Premises well maintained and the staff are great!

Expérience négative: I came as a guest. I tour gyms. It's the worst I've ever seen of the fit4less group. Hands down. Too small. Not nearly enough equipment. Don't you dare leave your machine unless you plan to leave something as an indicator for others....I think they should have paid me to workout there! It was pathetic.

Expérience négative: Lost my membership card for the first time since I started here. Costed $22 for a new card. Makes me reconsider whether or not I want to continue at this gym

Expérience fantastique: Great gym for the amount of money you pay in membership and it's 24 hours, only thing is I wish it wasn't so busy during the day time but I go here at nights and it's laid back and chill so it's not a big deal.

Expérience fantastique: I went for my free Gym session at the Merivale location. I was greeted well. The guys at the reception should be more enthusiastic about giving a tour of the location in my opinion, wasn't offered a tour but it's fine. Overall for the price it is a very good Gym. They have a lot of equipment and almost every piece of equipment is in good shape. It's definitely very popular among students cause it is cheap. It was crowded but during peak hours it is with every Gym. Would want to give it 4.25 out of 5. One more point for this Gym location specifically. I recently received a mail from fit4less that I have won a one year Black Card membership in the contest, I was in the Kanata fit4less on 3 Feb'24, they had absolutely no idea if fit4less runs any such contest and the girl was so arrogant and was like I have been working for this company for 4 years they have no such thing, in fact the manager of that Gym was also clueless and after me showing on website that such a content is being run she was still like "So what do I do with this", fit4less really needs to monitor such employees. I went straight to Merivale Fit4less, on reception I met Noah, he explained the procedure nicely and said that mail looks legit as it's from the company domain (I have replied to the mail with details they asked for, yet to get a reply with contract). The point I want to raise is that employees like Noah are an asset cause they make potential customers experience sweet. Changing my rating from 4 to 5 now

Expérience négative: My phone was stolen as I had left it beside the machine while working out. I reported it to the staff. The staff was able to identify the person by viewing the security camera footage. The thief was a regular member. I pleaded to them to ask him to give my phone back. They refused to identify him to me and refused to terminate his membership. They didn't even want to get involved. 2 days later I couldn't get inside the gym. I thought there was a problem with my card.. my payments are good. They decided to terminate my membership and simply let the thief continue working out. It's clear that these policies were put by someone who has no shame and regard to people. I've been respectful to them through out the whole process. Beware of this establishment. THEFT is TOLERATED at Fit4less. Shame on your CEO and Management. What a horrible company.

Expérience positive: Employees clean the equipment and vacuum during staffed hours, so you can tell cleanliness is important to this location (awesome)! They're kind to gym-goers too. 4 instead of 5 stars because there is no stairmaster at this location, which is something commonly used!

Expérience négative: Lots of potential if they actually fixed their machines. Most of the bikes have problems with the bearings, not allowing for a smooth rotation. Cable row machine is messed up - heavy resistance if anyone else is using the cables on the same side. As well as a bunch of other machines are always breaking down. The guy that comes to fix things does a half a** job and just tightens things up making things worse in the future. Been going to this location for like 6 months and the machines are just getting worse and worse. Would be nice to have these fixed properly.

Expérience négative: I am writing today to complain of the poor service, there was NO water fountain in the beginning and then the guys got for the gym finally after long period of time, now there is NO massage relaxation machine there is no electricity to turn it on. What poor services over her and people are paying money

Expérience négative: Gym had a lot of broken machines or machines under maintenance. Three out of four massage chairs weren’t working as well. Flooring needs to be redone. Just needs some love.

Expérience négative: I was here for some couples of weeks but really I am not satisfied because since I started my biweekly payment, I payed and went through after some days it shows that my payment is declined and I am denied to get access to gym halls. Today I spent more one hour nobody was there to the front desk help me to get in.

Expérience fantastique: It was very Clean & Tidy. I noticed they got new treadmill equipment which I thought was cool. Very affordable & well kept gym.

Expérience positive: Not the best fit4less I’ve been to. Gets quite busy, no showers or black card only area. Equipment was in good condition though. Overall just okay

Expérience négative: My gym was closed today so this was my only option nearby. 22.50 is just too much for a drop in workout at a gym like this. There’s only 1 squat rack with no adjustable support bars so I bottomed out on it before hitting full depth. The leg extension and leg curl machines both had crooked bars which made me feel like one leg was working differently from the other. I’m not sure what the membership prices are but if you are at all serious about the gym I would find another spot

Expérience négative: This gym is a joke. Ever since the new manager has taken over, it’s become the worst gym in Ottawa. Half the machines are always broken, paper towel and toilet paper rolls are always empty. The gym is over populated 24/7 due to members using the emergency doors to let all their friends in after hours. It’s absolutely ridiculous and I personally feel like something should be done or lots of members are gonna start transferring. Many already decided to commute to Kanata because it’s 100% better.

Expérience positive: I've been going here for years. It's great for the price but you get what you pay for. No showers and a small number of change rooms with lockers that are exposed to the gym section. The equipment is usually up and running and otherwise we'll kept.

Expérience positive: It's a basic gym, with all the required equipmens. I went to the other fit4less and found them much better than this one. They do not even have water fountain. That is the reason for 3 stars.

Expérience négative: 05 june, The staff closed the massage before 09h30, I ask my right for massage at 09h25 and the rude lady doesn't let me And it's not the first time spécialy this girl never let me do massage. I don't advise costumer to take the Black membership, take the cheapest one. I payed for massage and this lady spécialy never let me do it. She is not good at all with costumer service.

Expérience positive: This is a gym at a good price. However I don't think they vaule squat rack properly. By that I mean they have only one. The public gym i went too had at least 2. Overall its clean and has big windows to let light while working out, just missing some machines and please more squat racks.

Expérience négative: Probably the worst Fit4less I’ve ever been to. At least 25% of their machines are under maintenance. The gym is very stuffy and stale air, the flooring is old and torn up. Their selection of machines is garbage compared to other locations. I purposely drive an extra 30 mins to another Fit4less because this one is so bad. The lighting is also terrible, the flow of the gym is awkward and weird. Save your time and go to another location if you can, the owners/management of this location doesn’t care to upgrade anything or work on the location.

Expérience fantastique: Great gym for an affordable price! For the size of the gym it actually has everything you need to get a good workout in! They have a great variety or equipment. I almost never had to wait to use any cardio machines or weights! People are super nice and friendly and it’s a much better and warmer gym environment compared to fancier gyms! The employees are always helpful and knowledgeable, and I never had issues when I need help!! The gym is always clean!! Bathrooms are clean! The tanning rooms are clean too! Worth the money!

Expérience négative: The staff forgets to reinstate my membership when I had an outstanding balanced due, I paid it very well in advance of my cancellation date to avoid getting my membership canceled and somehow it was still cancelled. I make a call and they ask me to get in contact with their manager about their mistake. I’m okay with them forgetting to do their job, but asking me to fix their issue is just madly disrespectful. This location needs better staff training because it’s not professional at all, I had to call the Walkley location to get them to send in a ticket to the head office about this.

Expérience fantastique: I have been going to Fit4Less Merivale location which I call as my home gym for several years now. Staff is always helpful, welcoming and easy to talk to. In comparison to other locations I have been to, this gym is usually very clean which makes it pleasant to do my workout. Update: there is Wi-Fi now accessible.

Expérience positive: Good equipment for my basic workout needs. Seemed to have the usual over all plus some extra features like tanning and message chairs. Went and supported a gym partner with their workout, they have a membership, I had to pay drop in fees as there was no options to have a gym partner for a workout, you know sometimes you need that extra support. The drop in fee was a bit high for my comfort zone so I will avoid paying if I have to. Friendly staff tho :)

Expérience positive: I work out in this fit4less gym it’s on the top of the superstore and not bad for community at less they have all machines when one needs for workout. it doesn’t looks like any other Fit4less which has a huge space on the ground floor but this gym is in a two big rooms which has a punch of machines and so crowded all around. Working hours; As long the store opened fit4less opens too. Staff r good but not friendly. My Overall experience is a 3*

Expérience négative: Good price but other than that. Staff are awful and sneaky. Equipment is okay and the space is small it feels jammed up.

Expérience fantastique: Have been going about a month, can't see any negitives in this facility. Seems quite clean, the covid protocols seem like they have the interest of the customers. the staff are always actively keeping all the equipment clean during and after each hour fifteen session. I have never had any issues with staff having to remind me about my mask. Keeping it off at your workout station and on any other time seems quite fair. Make sure you schedule at least a day ahead of time if you plan to go during popular times (11 am - 5pm) seem busy for what I've seen. hope to see more people there.

Expérience fantastique: I went here on an off sesh that all gyms within Orleans were booked up. I was pleasantly surprised. I took the 8:30 slot so perhaps this was standard practice for the last sesh of the night. The whole time I was there, there was a lady cleaning the gym: emptying the bins, refilling spray, wiping machines down. I’ve never seen that in other locations yet. Def makes you feel a little safer. They have more treadmills than other locations I’ve been to that are in service. The hip thrust machine is near the stretch area and kinda far away from the plate rack and you kinda have to bum off one of the barbell benches but it’s s’all good. THEY GOT A SQUAT RACK!!!!!! Spacing is pretty ok. On first glance it doesn’t look spacious but once you’re in the space I find this one has the best flow next to place d’orleans IMO. It wasn’t overcrowded either and they do their rounds in checking numbers? Lol thought that was weird but I guess they allowed walk-ins and just keeping headcount I guess. Not too shabby.

Expérience positive: Good place as usual. At the start of the pandemic they were booking quite a lot people so they were still packed. However after the second shutdown it seems like they reduced the gym capacity which is good, although it’s much harder to get a spot now. Place is clean and the staff cleans while sessions are going on.

Expérience fantastique: What can I say. Been working out for 7 yrs here and can never complain about how beneficial it was to sign up to one of the best gyms in Ottawa and possibly across Canada. Lovely staff. Clean gym. Great place! Very affordable!

Expérience positive: Love the gyms itself, but there are never any time slots open. You have to book days in advance and even then, you might not get anything before all the slots are gone. Paying for a gym membership when you can’t even go gets a bit ridiculous, I wish they would do something to ensure that everyone who is an existing member gets to go. It’s what we’re paying for!!!

Expérience fantastique: I have to say I changed my 1 star to a 5 star. The manager here took real good care of me. She got my membership reinstated with no charge. She is enforcing the mask regulation which is very comforting. Seeing her do that makes everyone else safe. I don't know how to spell her name but I do know her by name. Keep up the good work and be safe.
