Expérience négative: Quit my membership recently.Gym very close to my home....4 minute drive to get there but sadly...had to leave. Here are a few reasons: To enter the gym you have to climb a long flight of metal stairs to enter which is not a problem...I am in shape BUT...the stairs are disgusting.....they stink!! Have never been cleaned or painted and you could vomit walking on them from the smell! The gym floor...toilets and locker room and air in gym are always dirty and smelly...disgusting. Machines are old and dirty and few people feel it necessary to wipe them down when leaving. The pay showers are beyond disgusting...the shower floors are stained almost black.....I wouldnt wash my dog in there. In summary....I guess you get what you pay for...Managment should be ashamed! Econofitness is the ''Poster Child'' of why cheapest never works!! Now at Nautilus and very happy. Ex member

Expérience négative: Dirty gym, for several months now, did speak to management but no solution to date. Lots of freeloaders after 9pm. Staff often on videocalls with their friends or girlfriend. Did not renew my membership.

Expérience négative: L'une des seules fois où je prends le temps de donner un avis. Je pense, après avoir lu plusieurs commentaires, ne pas être le seul à avoir remarqué l'état de salubrité déplorable du lieu. Les toilettes, l'abreuvoir, les machines, les sols, tout est plein de crasse et de poussière. Au point où j'ai dû me retenir d'utiliser l'urinoir et préféré me retenir jusqu'à chez moi... Au secours !

Expérience négative: This gym should not be open for 24 hours unless some controls are put in after 9pm where a constant flow of freeloaders who don’t pay for their membership go in in droves. Any paying client should make a formal complaint. It’s a joke. The place is decently clean considering one employee is expected to be at the front desk, clean men and women’s bathrooms, the overall gym. Hire a janitor service already!

Expérience positive: The facility in itself is really nice. Love the variety and amount of equipment. This gym could definitely get a better review if it weren't for the staff. There's a handful of workers (not all) who just stay hidden in their office for hours on end scrolling through their phones when the place desperately needs to be cleaned up. It's quite a shame.

Very nice and helpful, patient, friendly staff. Will most likely be joining this summer based on my 1st impression.

Expérience fantastique: The 5 stars is for Vanessa the girl who works Sundays she does her job like sweep , take out the trash , refill the cleaning products , etc.yall should give her a raise she deserves it !

Expérience positive: The gym is mostly dirty, but there's a good group of genuine people in the mornings. There's an employee named Vanessa on Sundays who cleans up the place, puts the weights back where they belong, and greets people in a courteous way. Hopefully, management will see this post because she deserves a raise!

Expérience négative: Je ne recommenderai pas cette salle de sport, car j'ai eu très mauvais expérience avec eu à cause d'un manque de communication et aussi d'information, ce jour même je me suis rendue en salle avec mes enfants celui de 14ans et celle de 9ans pour se divertir un peu car ils ont mentionné dans leur affiche comme quoi tout les dernier jeudi du mois il était possible que tu viennes en salle de sport avec ta famille, mais grande a été ma surprise de me voir lessiver comme une moins que rien devant mes enfants pourquoi,parce le gars ne veut rien entendre, j'ai même essayé de lui dire que je ne savais pas qu'il y avait des restrictions, il me dis carrément tu n'avais qu'à te rendre dans le site pour prendre toutes les informations, mon Dieu ,hors il faut noter que sur l'affiche d' annonce en salle il n'y a pas aucune restriction, il puis il me dit je suis censé le connaître car ça a toujours été comme cas ,alors pourquoi pas spécifier qu'il ne s'agit pas des enfants parceque que je suppose que ma famille c'est mes enfants de moi ,alors n' eyant pas eu l'information complète, dans la mesure où il s'agissait plutôt des personnes d'un certain âge, à mon arrivée nous avons été accueilli mes enfants et moi un un monsieur anti professionnel qui nous a parlé on dirait qu'il a avait en face de lui des personnes qui venaient juste mendier la salle de sport, surtout que j'ai même fait des concessions en lui proposant vu qu'on venait de loin de me laisser faire sport et laisser les enfants s'asseoir sur les bans devant l'entrée pour m'attendre il a catégoriquement dis non et aussi en nous demandant de sortir, puis soudain il dit si c'est pas fait j'appelle la police, imaginez-vous un membre platine qui verse près de 35$ tout les mois depuis un bon moment déjà que je vais en salle ou pas ,le prélèvement est automatique,au point de me dire que si je ne sors pas il va appeler la police, j'ai été vraiment déçu, par ce genre de service désagréable quu nous a pourri notre jeudi ,Alors c'est pourquoi dès ce soir je me désabonne de cette salle de sport.

Expérience négative: Do not spend your money here! They will not use any of it for maintenance. I am literally disgusted at how dirty it is, a minimal cleaning is not that hard.

Expérience négative: J'étais membre depuis 2 années, mais j’ai résilié mon abonnement récemment principalement à cause de la propreté. Depuis le début de 2023, j'ai remarqué que la propreté a diminué rapidement (vraiment downhill) et il y a une mauvaise odeur particulièrement à l'entrée (aucune ventilation trouvée) et aux vestiaires. La saleté des toilettes est vraiment dégoûtante et excessive que ça pourrait être un risque pour la santé. Il semble aussi que le gym n’ait plus de concierge... Il y avait un moment dont il n’y avait plus de savon à mains et la climatisation a cessé de fonctionner pour quelques jours durant l’été. Aussi, quand une machine est en panne, ça reste en panne pour plusieurs mois. C’est généralement occupé durant le soir dont on doit attendre souvent pour utiliser une machine. Les poids et les attaches du câbles ne sont pas arrangés à leur propre place (ils sont mis partout au gym). Je te recommande de trouver un autre gym (ex: Nautilus, Gold’s Gym etc.) ou si c'est Éconofitness: utilisez une autre surcassale (par exemple, à Laval c'est super propre et il y a un concierge).

Expérience négative: Une place très sale , les usagers sont irrespectueux comparé à plusieurs autres éconofitness Aussi à l'entrée tu ne te sens pas accueillis par les employés de la place Je recommande d'aller ailleurs

Expérience négative: J’utilise régulièrement les econofitness de la région métropolitaine et j’avoue que la salubrité des salles d’entraînement est vraiment HORRIBLE!!! Les vestiaires des femmes sentent le pipi et le sol n’a pas été lavé depuis un bon mois certains. Même le métro de la STM est plus propre et il y a de la circulation!!! J’espère que la situation va être rectifiée!

Expérience négative: I am a platinum member of econofitness for last 3 years. This cote vertu branch especially is the dirtiest amongst all. Since last week i have been asking these guys for cleaning. And seriously no one is paying heed to anything i am saying. Any staff member i talk, they start playing the blame game and when i ask for the manager, ironically he is never here. You need to do something about it other than merely writing thank you beneath.

Expérience négative: Needs a deep clean and a regular one. Nice variety of machines ! The lack of care when you need help from the staff is quite repulsive. A person stole my AirPods and used it for months . I called the front desk and told them to contact the person in order to return my belonging since I have his address plus the school he attends and their response was : “ We are not responsible for lost items” . I ended up following the thief around town until I confronted him at the gym in order to recuperate my AirPods . I guess they wouldn’t be responsible if that confrontation ended up a blood bath right next to the squat rack .

Expérience négative: Le plus sale econo, s’il ya un test sanitaire ils échouent surement, ses commis sont toujours assis, sans nettoyer ni arranger les poids, il faut souvent aller chercher son poids partout , plus que 25% des cables et machines sont cassées et en pannes!!!

Expérience fantastique: Great gym! I love the layout, and that it wasn’t too crowded when I went and all machines were available without having to wait. Definitely going to come here more often even though it’s not the closest to me.

Expérience négative: Since the management changed it became a health hazard going there. Apparently they fired the cleaning team... so more money in the pocket, why not? Very hasty washrooms with poop inside, dust on the windows, super dirty. This location needs to be shut down.

Expérience positive: Machines to walk or elliptic almost never works. Need to plus and unplug yourself I order to reset. It is not clean, and smell horrible.

Expérience négative: People use 2, 3 machines at the same time. It is not correct.

Expérience négative: Under every bad review, management writes "Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We are sorry for the inconvenience...". These reviews are going back more than 6 months. Yet, I am a new member and I notice the same problems. Cleanliness is mediocre, weights are literally all over the place (you find dumbbells by the vending machine), people leave their weights on, cushions are chewed up... This place needs to tidy up ASAP. Staff is very friendly and helpful (that is the 1 star), but unfortunately it does not make up for the rest. I am finishing my month and if the experience does not improve I will go back to paying more money at the Y but get more bang for my buck.

Expérience négative: Pretty ok gym for the price i’m paying for. The facility is dirty and it feels like it’s never really cleaned. Plus weights and equipment are left in random places most of the time. Even if the staff are nice, it’s the crowd that i’m not really a fan of. They almost never clean their stations after finishing and like mentioned earlier, don’t rerack weights or put the equipment away after use. Also lots of young teens, some even vaping while working out. Like damn, it’s basically a hangout spot for them during rush hours. Overall, it just feels pretty ghetto. I was with them for 4 months but decided to revoke my membership and drive and extra 15 min to go to Fit Forme instead. Way better crowd and cleaner.

Expérience négative: This is by far the DIRTIEST Econo location I've ever been to. The only reason I go to this location is because of convenience. They need to hire cleaning staff asap.

Expérience positive: Points fort: Prix abordable, ouverture 24h/24. Acces à tous les salles avec abonnement Platine et extra. Point négatifs: arrêt temporaire d'abonnement impossible, transfert d'abonnement impossible. Retard dans la réparation des défauts ou des bris des machines.

Expérience fantastique: Les deux fauteuils de massage ne fonctionnent pas. S'il vous plaît changer.

Expérience positive: Came here for my first time to get a membership. The girl working at the desk was very unhelpful. I was seated at the desk to get my membership and had to ask the girl for help but every time I came up to her, she was on her phone. And when she did answer my questions, she was not helpful, Un informative, judgmental, and clearly didn’t care about my service. Overall, the gym itself is fine but the staff is immature and unpleasant. I almost canceled my membership because of how poorly treated I was by the staff.

Expérience négative: Unacceptable! I am a platinum member, I pay the extra few dollars a month to have the privilege of using the showers. The showers are disgusting, full of bandaids, hair and who knows what. The men’s changing room has only one faucet to wash your hands and the soap dispenser has been empty and broken for almost a month. I don’t understand how the other Econofitness gyms are exceptionally cleaner, well maintained and organized. This location definitely needs a makeover and a new management team! I find it’s unfair for those who pay and come regularly under these circumstances.

Expérience positive: Honestly this is my favourite econofitness and I’ve been going there for years however this year I decided to switch. It’s very big and well equipped. It tends to get pretty busy but I usually avoided those hours. It’s also 24h/7 which is great! Unfortunately to access the gym 24/7 you need the platinum membership. Prices are going up and the platinum membership is getting close to other gyms. I didn’t mind the price because it was still affordable and it’s a great gym but the reason I switched was because the gym is very dirty and machines are starting to break. Sometimes they fix the broken machine quickly but that’s not always the case. The past couple of months the gym has be very dirty and I know a lot of people are complaining about it. Otherwise it’s a pretty decent gym.

Expérience fantastique: Dislocated my knee by accidentally hitting it on a machine.

Expérience négative: I like this gym, staff and members are so nice, equipment is so good as well. Unfortunately, the place is soooo dirty, toilets are terrible, there are papers and airs everywhere, showers also terrible. Is that hard to hire someone to keep the gym clean? Is sad you guys cannot keep such a good gym under the minimum cleaning standards.

Changing rooms arent cleaned, the weights are thrown everywhere, problems with the ventilation (very reccurent), material broken and it takes a lot of time to repair them! You should avoid this place! Been training here for the past year, so i saw the fall down of the gym.

Expérience négative: Je trouve dommage que le gym soit moins bien entretenu qu’avant. Je me souviens l’été dernier, lorsque je m’entraînais vers minuit, je voyais régulièrement un préposé à l’entretien faire le ménage, ce qui expliquais la propreté indiscutable du gym. Ça fait maintenant au moins 6 mois que je n’ai pas vu de préposé faire le ménage, la poussière s’accumule sur les planchers et les machines, les salles de bains dégagent souvent une forte odeur désagréable et les miroirs sont couverts de traces de doigts…Sans oublier le fait que plusieurs machines et équipements sont et demeurent défectueux sans que personne ne s’en préoccupe. Je trouve ça dommage de devoir écrire ce commentaire, car ce gym est littéralement ma seconde maison depuis presque un an, mais je pense malheureusement devoir changer d’endroit pour m’entraîner vu le laisser aller de la part des propriétaires. Dommage pour un si beau gym. Je me réabonnerais sans hésiter si la propreté et la qualité des équipements s’améliorait, mais ça ne semble pas être une priorité pour les gestionnaires, ce qui m’oblige à explorer mes autres options

Expérience négative: As someone who once worked at this gym and also been a member otherwise, this gym has become dirty and poorly maintained ever since they fired the janitor the quality of the gym has reduced. And we cannot expect the same level of detailing as a janitor (who is paid and trained appropriately) from customer service staffs who have other responsibility more relevant to their position. Also some machines stay broken for months. Instead of doinf temporary fix why not invest in a new equipment as it just keeps breaking? I have since switched gyms. Just hoping this review will make management understand what went wrong.

Expérience négative: Venant d'une personne qui a travaillé dans ce gym, qui est devenu membre dès l'âge de 15 ans et de voir aujourd'hui à quel point la qualité à diminuer... Lorsque j'étais employé la propreté était importante et le gym était impeccable. Semaine après semaine, la saleté s'accumule, les toilettes sont malpropres, les planchers pas lavés et j'en passe. Décevant de voir que les supérieurs ne se soucient plus autant de la qualité de ce gym, il s'agit de l'un des plus grands gym Econofitness et malheureusement, après autant d'années je le DÉCONSEILLE.

Expérience négative: This location (Cote Vertu) used to be the best - now its terribly dirty. I would guess that they do not do a cleaning even once a day.. imagine with all the dirt we can see....... its the unseen dirt and lack of hygerine that bothers me.....almost to the point that if it was inspected they might be shut down.......I sure hope that they get their act together. I sent an email months ago to head office and got the generic reply that they would pass along my comments. Just for reference the Salaberry location is spotless but sadly it is not a 24 hour gym.

Expérience négative: 3 cm of dust on the floor, 2 weeks waiting to be cleaned , but no changes. A lot of hair on mats , I asked to vacuum at least occasionally, but no result.

Expérience positive: Good selection of equipment and good price. I usually go after hours and find it very dirty. Floors not clean, very dusty and random stuff left behind ( water bottles, towels etc) weights not placed back properly

Expérience négative: I have been going to this location for many years, location wise and in general it has always been my favourite spot to go. I am giving this one star due to recent decline in cleanliness and maintenance of this gym. What is frustrating to me is that we all kept paying monthly fees for over a year during the pandemic to support this gym, however in the past few months it seems they are no longer cleaning the gym. There is lint and dust everywhere on the floor, on the blinds, around the machines and washrooms as very dirty. The soap dispenser is broken for few months now and it has not been replaced. Carpet around the treadmills has not been cleaned for ages and dust & lint is accumulating so much that it's hard to breath at times. I would really like the management to pay attention and turn this decline around.

Expérience négative: Je crois qu’un bon ménage serait plus que nécessaire. Il y a des boules de poussière sur les murs des vestiaires (femme). Plusieurs machines auraient besoin d’un entretien et les douches laissent à désirer. Et je ne comprend pas pourquoi même lorsqu’il n’y a qu’une poignée de personnes au gym les casiers sont tous occupés. Fut un temps où j’aimais ce gym, maintenant j’essaie de l’éviter.

Expérience positive: Grand gym, bons prix et les gens à la réception sont disponibles et connaissent bien leurs forfaits! Je recommande le gym, il n’y a pas trop de monde !

Expérience positive: Id like to state that after speaking to Dom the manager, He seems to have corrected this and last time I went to the gym, the employee was seen going around and cleaning and the gym was much MUCH cleaner. I can only hope that this continues. thanks Dom and staff and please keep it up! *****I wanted to be nice with my previous post. Hoping management would use this advice and take action. I WAS WRONG. The gym has become so dirty that im sure its a health hazard. My throat is irritated after 30 min of training. Accumulation of dust has now become DIRT. Bathrooms: tampons and sanitary pads spewing out of bin. Toilets and water fountain clearly havent been washed in who knows how long. I am disgisted and disapponted as this is the gym which is convenient in my travels. Staff do nothing but sit in office and chat . They dont even greet you anymore. Or fill up paper towels. Clients are young and use up machines to sit instead of workout and the others dont even clean their area or have towels. This place is becoming more and more dirty. Either lack of staff or bad scheduling as there seems to always be only one person working even during peak hours .They definitely need to look into this for sanitary purposes. Also machine seem to need some maintenance/ oiling not sure. Cables are becoming rigid. And there is no longer a smooth pull. Otherwise they have good Friendly people. I'm sure they will work on this and improve what's missing.

P.S: Possibilité de payer juste pour 1 mois ce que beaucoup de gym ne font pas donc parfait pour ceux qui viennent en visite pendant quelques semaines et veulent repartir après

Expérience positive: Je me suis inscrit ça fait pas longtemps mais J'aime vraiment econofitnes, Aussi c'est économique et les salles de gym sont bien équipées avec du matériel ainsi que c'est propre et si on parle du personnel on trouve toujours le bon accueil Je vous encourage d'aller vous inscrire et vous trouvez que c'est vraiment intéressant

Expérience positive: Overall good gym. I find it fairly clean and there are a decent amount of free weights, benches and machines. It does get quite busy so I strongly suggest going very late or very early (it is open 24h).

Expérience positive: Tout est bien à part quelques-uns qui monopolisent des stations pour des 30-45 minutes avec leurs téléphones alors que ça prendrait 10 minutes maximum !!! Ils passent plus de temps sur les réseaux sociaux et les selfies que s’entraîner. Alors on est obligé de perdre du temps à cause d’eux ou tout simplement de quitter en espérant revenir un autre jour à une autre heure !

Expérience négative: Good vibes at the gym but the gym is terribly dirty. Dust everywhere, floors are so dusty in the that you can literally slide. The bathroom are dirty too. Investing in a good cleaning crew could be good to keep your clientele.

Expérience négative: C'est l'Econofitness le plus mal entretenu que j'ai été à Montréal. Il n'y a personne passant le balai ou la serpillière la fin de demain. Je vais à cet econofitness depuis Septembre 2021. La toilette des hommes sent l'urine et le mur à un odeur d'urine depuis des lunes. Et les douches ont des cheveux collés dans les recoins. C'est quand même incroyable. Svp utiliser de l'eau Javelle est une nécessité absolue. Il faudra investir dans un tourniquet avec des barrières permettant de passer un personne à la fois. Souvent, il y a des gens indesirables, des profiteurs mal élevés et des vendeur de drogue provenant de Laval et de Montréal se rencontre dans cet établissement.

Expérience positive: Aujourd'hui, 11 juillet 2023, un message écrit à l'entrée sur un tableau blanc : "Please wear deodorant" en anglais seulement. On ne s'adresse donc pas aux francophones et j'en déduit que seul les anglophones ont des problèmes de transpiration!!!

Expérience positive: This gym is decent. There's plenty of space and it's never too crowded (I usually got after work so 4-6 roughly). They've got a big array of cardio machines and a good number of machines, as well as a good free weights area. There are showers but they are outside the changing rooms, which is a little odd.
