Expérience négative: Advertises 24 hours. Signed up online, it said to go in and use the self serve kiosk to receive my card. Door to get to the kiosk is locked, you have to scan your card to get in. No one answering phone.

Expérience positive: I love going to this gym. During the week, the facilities are kept really clean and the staff are incredibly helpful and kind, always making sure everyone is happy and taken care of. .....On the flip side, the weekends at this gym are no bueno. The bathrooms don't get cleaned as often or as deeply. The toilet paper runs out and the staff aren't as efficient in refilling once reminded. Random garbage on the floor scattered around the gym. The staff are somewhat friendly. The weekday staff always greet everyone who walks in the door. The weekend staff don't acknowledge you unless you acknowledge them first. I hate to complain about this but after coming here for nearly a year, the weekends are just disappointing. I know that some of these people can do better and I hope that this review can be used constructively. Keep up the amazing work guys and I'm rooting for the ones who can improve

Expérience fantastique: Love this gym… the price is right, the equipment is kept in good repair, the friendly, helpful staff, the 24 hour convenience all add up to an environment that allows me to achieve my fitness goals. It is a very busy gym however I choose to usually go later in the evening so waiting for a particular piece of equipment is usually not an issue.

Expérience fantastique: I joined Fit4Less a while ago and have been really pleased with my experience. The gym has a great variety of equipment and a welcoming atmosphere. I also take advantage of the tanning services, which are convenient and easy to use. The hydro massage beds are a fantastic added bonus—they're perfect for relaxing after a workout. Overall, Fit4Less offers great value for anyone looking to stay fit and pamper themselves a bit!

Expérience négative: Got double charged on my account. Neither charge is for the agreed black card amount. I havent been a card holder for long. No notice sent to my email about a price increase. I have spent all morning trying to call this location and it is clear that their staff must not have showed up for work this morning. Super super disappointed and I would appreciate someone looking at my account details and calling me back to discuss.

Expérience fantastique: A lot bigger than the Merivale Club in Ottawa (which I go to normally) so I was impressed when I walked in here. Much more equipment in this one.

Expérience positive: Nice clean facility. I have a black card which is access to all amenities and locations but I was surprised to find out that the massage chairs have a 10 min time limit. There is no time limited for the other equipment and I don’t think it’s fair to have a relaxing massage after ur workout then after every 10 mins get up and scan ur card at the front desk not to mention sometimes there is a line so u will have to wait. While I understand the scanning the card as this amenity is for black card members. It should be able to scan at the hydrotherapy chair. Imagine starting a set/workout on a machine then in the middle of it having to go to the front to add more time. It just throws u off. There is no time limit for other equipment and if everything is first come first serve I don’t see the need for this. I do think a more private area for lockers, change room and showers would be nice aswell and they currently only have 1 shower working. All the other equipment is great for a workout and staff is super friendly and helpful especially the many times I had to come and get them to add more time.

Expérience positive: Average-sized gym, friendly and helpful staff, plenty of parking as it is a part of a large plaza. They maintain the equipment in good condition, and the whole area is pretty clean during staffed hours. I would suggest adding another drinking water dispenser/fountain in case the other one doesn’t work(they only have one right now, and it was under maintenance a few days ago). Sometimes they run out of sanitizer spray and paper towel (in some of the dispensers), however, it is only during unstaffed hours and thats understandable.

Expérience positive: I used to mainly just go for the massage bed and tanning. We would do the treadmill for a half hour or so. Now I have an injured back and can't go but don't want to cancel the membership and then have to re-sign up again later

Expérience fantastique: Very clean location. Not very busy in the mornings or evenings from my experience. Staff are kind and constantly making sure the place is clean and no overflowing trash or empty cleaning bottles

I am not comfortable ok a gym where men are taking pictures and videos of me working out and other people sitting on live video this is against rules I thought and when it. Happened the first two times I complained to the front desk and nothing was done so the final time I walked out

Expérience négative: Fix your showers. It’s been running super hot for a while with a warning on the door saying you’ll fix it but it has been left like that for a while. Little things like this make the difference. For me I’ve begun processing my membership cancellation because it’s already not worth having access to showers only during staffed hours and i have time to workout at night only.

Expérience négative: My wallet was stolen. Tried to replace the gym card (22.50 for a mass produced piece of plastic, felt like I was getting robbed all over again.) Guess what, they don't accept cash. All my cards were stolen, cash is all I have. Message to the manager: everyone hates you including your staff. Please resign or just straight up perish.

Expérience fantastique: Unlike the goofy staff I've encountered at the other Fit4Less branch locatad on 2425 Barton E, these guys are committed, professional, friendly, responsible, etc etc. I've noticed some of the female employees actually work even harder than the male ones, they give their %%. If you wanna train in a clean & friendly atmosphere come here, I've been comin here 6 days a week for more than 2 years, I don't have a single bad thing to say about their staff, real awesome & respectable folks they got here, %%

Expérience positive: Good gym. The new years crowd is starting to die down again which is nice because it's less crowded. I am starting to see a lot of really young kids coming in with their parents and using the machines alone, 12-13 years old. Maybe they are older just look young, but it seems like a liability to have them using complicated equipment intended for adults. All respect to parents sharing fitness with the kids, it's so important, but I do wonder a bit about the safety side of things.

I was told I would receive a call the next day. 3 days later I called back and was told "there are 7000 members at the gym so the manager is really busy. They don't have time for you." EDIT: I called the club to speak to the manager to find out why he never called me. He told me that he didn't think he needed to, so I asked for a corporate contact. He told me that "This doesn't need to be escalated to corporate. Maybe you should just try another club." And then hung up on me.

It's a big gym with lots of equipment. They keep the temperature nice and cool in here. Most at the time I am there, I see Susan. She is incredibly kind, patient & accommodating. She's always on top of things being clean and tidy. Great place to work out!

Expérience négative: Twice now this week alone I've gone to the gym. Use my card to get in, it scans green but then the door doesn't unlock. I use my card again and it scans red and door doesn't unlock. Now I can't workout. Plus they let homeless people sleep in their lobby. ( Absolutely disgusting) This place is not worth the money considering you can't even get into the gym despite paying your fees. It seems like they serve the homeless better than their members seeing as how the homeless actually get to use the facilities

Expérience positive: Good facility for the price point, convenience, hours and location, but all the people sitting on the machines while using their phones drive me crazy. There are plenty of other places to sit and check your email or whatever than on the machines!

Expérience fantastique: For 4AM workout’ers’, this Fit4Less is a personal gym. Always clean and the staff are pleasant to deal with.

Expérience positive: Showers are often closed for maintenance, good rates. Tanning beds are a solid addition.

Expérience négative: Nice looking and clean facility, but I was less than impressed by the customer service at this location. I've been a Fit4Less member on several different occasions in the past, and have cancelled because of moving, etc. I asked them if they could kindly wave the $50 registration fee, as I've paid it 3 or so times already in the past 4-5 years, and they adamantly refused. I tried to explain that I've been a member on and off for years, but they didn't budge and offered no explanation as to why they couldn't grant an exception based on my previous history and memberships with Fit4Less. Not a friendly bunch at all at the front desk, they made me feel like I was annoying them by even interacting with them and inquiring.

You can create a new account just on the machine before even getting inside, then you have your card, and you already go inside, with your card and not needing to bothered no ones for make your card on the machine , payment with debit or Visa. Perfect I guess

Expérience négative: I'll be canceling my membership and looking into private training, as the prices have increased (yet still advertise $7.99) for what I pay monthly ($60) I would certainly hope they'd have clean and funcational equipment. Theres always machines Out of Order, The spray bottles/papertowel are always empty. Staff is rude and hides in the back. The bathrooms are always a wreck, I don't believe any of the lockers are regularly cleaned out. I joined in May 2023 and by August 2023 its gone horrifyingly down hill. It is always overcrowded no matter what time you go, (yes even 4 am) and its overcrowded with UNDERAGE highschool (maybe) students !!! using equipment improperly, hogging equipment, and not to mention as a female i do NOT feel comfortable working out here with some of the problematic members. Save yourself the Money (it is not actually $7.99) and go somewhere not oversold. They do not have the space for the amount of members. ID really needs to be checked.

Expérience fantastique: My favourite at that gym, when I first attended, was the Massage Chair and the Hydro Massage Bed. I love the staff

Expérience positive: I have been coming to the Barton location for 4 years now and have been a member of various other gyms in Toronto, and I have to say this is a great gym for the money. For its very large size it's very clean and looked after. One issue is some equipment is often broken for long periods of time. But the staff is friendly yet never in your face, and the members are all pretty nice and all just doing their own thing. As a women I feel very comfortable there.

Expérience fantastique: I was a member of Fit4less Barton Street for close to an year. It is an excellent physical fitness center and the staff are helpful and cooperative. I moved to a different location which does not have a Fit4less nearby and leaving the membership was a difficult decision for me. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to do workouts at a quality gym with a very reasonable price.

So I payed for a 24/7 membership but can only really get what I payed for during there hours not mine

Expérience positive: Ok gym, good staff but F4L policies s_ck. Busy times: 10 and up. Busiet during evenings. There're a couple disappointing things. 1. One of the massage chairs is broken since over a month. I guess they don't care about it. 2. Black card members can use the massage chairs and beds only during staffed hours. THEIR SYSTEMS HOWEVER, SHUTOFF 30 MINS BEFORE THE WORKING HOURS END. Their competitor has staff even at night. Would like to see that. 3. The black card area is too small. 3 people makes it look crowded and won't feel of entering inside. Will switch to a better place as soon as I find one.

Expérience négative: Equipment is often broken for long periods of time or accessories taken into the black room leaving limited handle options for the main space. They could use additional equipment and accessories now that they have so many members + black room. Bathrooms / change rooms are dirty most times, vomit in the sinks, toilet paper and garbage everywhere. There are several motorcycles that park right on the sidewalk besides the door but no staff seem to mind this parking violation. Cheap gym = low standards. Most staff not very friendly or helpful, often hide in the office on cell phones takes a while to get their attention for any assistance. I’ve been going here for many years because it’s the only gym in biking distance to me but honestly wouldn’t recommend.

Expérience négative: I’ve been coming here for a while now and it’s been going downhill for the last few months. Employees are too busy cleaning to attend to customers who PAY to be there. Then management is either in the office with the door closed, on his personal phone or talking to female members. I witness people trying to come into the door while riding the bike every morning and people are waiting for a long time. The employees look like they hate their jobs. This isn’t the gym it used to be, I hope things change or I’ll be joining crunch.

Expérience positive: This location is one of the best fit for less I have ever been to. It's very big and spacious, you never feel too crowded and there are several stretching areas. This gym location has a water fountain, hydrobeds, standing tanning, 30 min workout area and a black card area. I give it a 4 stars because the black area is not great, but in general, it's a good gym.
