Expérience négative: I know it’s not the gyms fault but beware, someone forced the lock off of my father’s locker and stole his credit cards from his wallet. Do not recommend this place the crowd here is far too sketchy.
Expérience positive: Meh, free weights are lacking. Lots of good machines, but by cost etc I prefer my old gym
Expérience négative: Terrible customer service. I unexpectedly had to move out of province at the last minute due to a family emergency. I called to cancel my membership but was told I can only cancel in person or through a written letter. With the Canada Post strike, I couldn't send a written letter. Instead I had to drive 3.5 hours to the nearest gym to cancel. When I told the lady on the phone my situation and how both options were unrealistic she laughed and said "well that's our policy". Now I'm sure it was in the small fine print I signed for my membership (dumb me), however it's disheartening when these big corporations can't work with you to help you. Also they advertise 'cancel anytime'. On to the gym review: Clean. Way way way too much cardio equipment!! 40+ treadmills and only 2 sets of 20lbs weights is wild to me. I've never seen the cardio equipment full however the weight area is always too full. Waiting over an hour for a squat rack is ridiculous. PF also needs to monitor groups of people at gym equipment. There's been many times I've been there and there's a group of 4-6 people sharing the leg press, etc. Not cool! Employees should be monitoring this more. Another downside for people trying to up their weight, free weights only go up to 75lbs. I'm a female and feel that PF is more geared towards woman or men starting out. Besides all that, it was a half alright gym for the price. The cleanliness helps my opinion on that. If it wasn't a cheaper gym I would look elsewhere. If you care about customer service, DONT GO HERE. Side note, there is a younger man who works at this location that has always been so helpful and kind. I hope the rest of the staff learns lots from him. They will need it.

Expérience fantastique: I have been to every major gym in this wonderful city of Moncton and must state this this gym rates as one of my top picks to serve my needs. Great pricing. Modern equipment which is well serviced. Everything is immaculately cleaned no matter where I've been in this gym. Showers deliver good water pressure at easily set temperature to my liking. Everyone I've met working for this place and working out in it have been excellent people. Love the open hours 24/7. Using the sites app lets me instantly see the least busy times to work out, should I desire to know. High praise for this establishments perfect management.

Expérience fantastique: Dropped in for a workout while visiting Moncton. Gym is large and is very clean. Great mixture of fitness equipment including Smith machines, benches, free weights, bikes, treadmills, and cable machines. No waiting to use equipment as well! Very pleasant experience and was welcomed at the desk by Zaid. Very friendly and welcoming!!

Expérience négative: It gets pretty creepy at night there. My friend had a bad experience getting hit on by pushy men. The same fellas never clean the equipment after themselves. Used to be a descent spot to go. CS is really poor there as well.

Expérience négative: Went to sign up asked for help they said I had to do it myself and turned a tablet around. I said I dont want to enter the information and they said I had to because of big cooperation. I told them I dont work there and want them to set up my account and they refused.
Expérience négative: I am extremely disappointed with the way Planet Fitness Moncton, particularly their management under Vikram, handled my situation. After suffering a torn MCL in my left knee in June 2024, my doctor advised me to avoid any physical activity. Unfortunately, due to the challenges I’ve faced during my recovery, I wasn’t able to follow up on my membership right away. When I requested a refund for the fees charged since July 2024—given my inability to use the gym—I was met with a complete lack of empathy. Vikram's response was to offer two months of free membership, which is absurd, knowing full well I won’t be able to engage in any physical activity during that time. It’s incredibly frustrating and disheartening to see a fitness facility, which should prioritize health and member well-being, show such disregard for someone dealing with a serious injury. If you’re looking for a gym that offers genuine support and compassion, I highly recommend finding a different place. Save yourself the frustration—Planet Fitness Moncton doesn’t care about its members when they need understanding the most.

Expérience négative: This gym sucks the heat is back on for the winter, today I walked in and was in a tank top and was hot before I even finished scanning in…this is always an issue they say the heat is at a “fixed” temperature However we have heard employees talk about how they were going to turn it up…employees are rude never welcoming and the gym is 90% cardio it’s not even worth 20$ to use this gym…locker rooms are dirty and it always stinks in here…people have no sense of hygiene at all…employees are on their phones all the time, have air pods in or are not even looking the direction of the customers walking up to the desk…I would not recommend this gym to even a beginner

Today (September 23, 2024, at 9:15 am) I went to change from Black to regular, and the attendant said that to do so I would have to pay a "change fee", something I had never heard of before and that and totally unfair. The service at this gym is increasingly worse, the attendants seem to have no patience and the manager is never there. Terrible! I don't recommend it!

VIKRANT SAYS HE IS MANAGER HE OWN THIS GYM AND THIS IS THE WAY HE DO BUSINESS ( last month they got 50$ dollar yearly fee 28 $ dollar for monthly fee and right after cancel there membership very bad staff there is guy name Vikrant and I highlighted his mistake and he end up showing me over power to win conversation and guess what gym lost business and many more members like me . My bill cycle go till July16 . but Vikrant s girlfriend have crush on me and he is jealous and he band me coming to gym today June 20 ( When I highlighted everything he said he gona call police on me. Plant fitness is scamming people don't go there

None of the stationary bikes are working but sure when my credit card expires they hurry to ask me for another one even when they take my money straight from my bank account. Not to mention how crowded the gym is at peak time. It’s almost impossible to use a machine. If you wanna sell 200.000 memberships at least get a bigger place.

Expérience fantastique: Was hesitant about going to a gym at first but decided to try it out with my Granddaughter, what a great experience, Dawn Drew and Manpreet are there at the desk everyday greeting the members as they arrive and are very knowledgeable about the gym and the equipment. Very clean gym and the equipment is in excellent working condition, Dawn and Manpreet are very good with new members as well as the time they take with any new potential members coming in to check the gym, they are very patient and knowledgable and take the people around the gym and answer any questions they may have, I was one of those potential members

Expérience négative: Been going to planet for 3 years now and been to plenty of other gyms and this one I csn say is by far the worst. Dirty, terrible staff, terrible management. Half the machines are always out of order. Biggest complaint is that the heat is always on full blast, it’s a gym it should be cold not plus 30 when lifting weights. Avoid this gym at all cost!

Expérience négative: I have been going to PF gyms since I was 19. I am now 26 and can honestly say the Moncton planet is the worst gym I have been to. When you walk in the “fixed” heat slaps you in the face however I happen to know the heat can be adjusted in the back room…from Ontario to NS the gyms are cold. Moncton plants is also dirty as seen in pictures below…the showers have mold, the water fountain has a smell and they are missing all hair dryers. Staff are unprofessional and always on their phones, in grey sweat pants. The manager is also unprofessional and has been known to call people who make bad reviews and asks them to change it to a 5 star rating to be seen as a “loyal member” in his eyes…we don’t need the gym to look good on line we need it to be good in person. I love planet so much I actually worked here when it opened and continued coming here when other employment opportunities came since I liked it so much…management had a few changes and it definitely shows…definitely considering leaving if things don’t change

Expérience négative: When I first joined the Moncton location I would have given it 4 stars but I am now rating a 2 star after being a member for 9 months. One of the main issues I have noticed is the lack of cleanliness in the equipment area and lockers. The machines are dusty, and the lockers are full of salt and dirt as people wear their shoes into the change rooms and throw them in the lockers. Additionally, there has been theft of hair dryers (never been replaced), pins from the machines, and personal belongings from the lockers. The RCMP was there on my last visit due to a theft claim from a client. Furthermore, the machines are frequently broken for extended periods of time (one cable and one leg press machine has been broken for 4 months) which is frustrating for customers trying to maintain their fitness routine. The ceilings also leak when it rains. Another concern I have is the inconsistency in customer service. It seems that the level of service varies depending on who is working at the front desk. In addition, while there are cameras on premises, it appears that management does not always address or take action on complaints from clients. The last manager quit on the spot as she refused to take complaints. Furthermore, I find it unacceptable that the gym only accepts debit or credit card for payment, as I prefer to use cash for certain transactions. Lastly, I have observed that there are individuals who do not adhere to the gym's policy of maintaining a scent-free environment nor clean their machines. It’s awful. I contacted head office whom advised they would call me and take my concerns seriously and that was 2 weeks ago. I’m going back to my old gym. The cheap fees don’t make it worth it. Wanted to give a heads up to anyone looking to join Moncton

Expérience fantastique: Very clean gym ,changing rooms were clean washrooms very clean. Didn't have any wait time for any equipment. I wish they had a little more available help to answer my questions. They didn't seem to have experienced assistance but they had people to assist with general issues. If you have specific questions regarding working out or cardio workout advise in not so sure you will be able to get the help you need. I am still overall happy with the gym. I was offered a free trial but when I tried to redeem that offer a was expired but was only offered it two days before that. But again the gym is open all night and very clean so it's worth taking a membership here. You will not be disappointed. Especially if you work variable hours and still need to keep up with your workout schedule. You'll be able to go here 24/7.

Expérience négative: This gym USED to be a great gym! The staff and management is a joke! Member like myself that have been here since it open can’t believe how badly it’s gone down hill! Staff is to busy clowning around at the desk with each other to actually do their job and clean, fix equipment, replace pins maybe welcome a member . The temperature is set for the employee comfort not the members who pay monthly! Mangers are no better hiding in there office complaining to them is just a waste of time. Someone needs to come in a clean house and get this gym back to how it was.

Expérience négative: Compared to PF facilities in Edmonton and other parts of Canada, I can say this is the worst facility I’ve been to. Maybe since there is only one gym the machines get more use, multiple machines broken, worn down. Trash on the floor everywhere, change rooms dirty, no music, always packed. Would rather workout in my hotel gym lol

Expérience positive: Been at this gym for years. It’s always dirty. Equipment barely ever cleaned. If they didn’t have Jordan cleaning it, land knows how bad it would get. They need a ship up or ship out with most. Been in different gyms and staff always meets and greets at front then you will see them constantly cleaning around. Always excuses of whys it can’t be done but never a solution. Today we are sitting in a chair having a grand social event.

Expérience fantastique: The facility is very clean. The equipment is never broken down and there are a lot of options so it makes it easier to change up your workout. The staff are all so friendly and always say hi to me in the morning and tell me to enjoy my workout. Overall 10/10. I would recommend Planet Fitness Moncton to all my friends and family. I look forward to my workouts every morning and it keeps me motivated to keep going. This is coming from someone who typically doesn't enjoy going to the gym but my mind has been changed. Thank you Planet Fitness!! If I had one critique, the lockers are very narrow and not deep, so my gym bag needs to be shoved in sideways.

Expérience négative: Customer service is lackluster and the app doesn't work. Not sure if it's the fault of the company for not providing an alternate source for troubleshooting, or if it's the lack of enthusiasm from the employees, but I couldn't even keep a Planet Fitness account to utilize their gym. I received the e-mail and created account. I was even billed and could see it on my account history. On the day I plan to go in, it doesn't work anymore and it says my account no longer exists under that e-mail. Reinstalling the app didn't work and it won't resend any activation emails so I call in and ask what can be done to fix it. They tell me to just come in and they'll help me set it up. Weird but whatever. This was a while back and it stormed so I didn't go in. I went in tonight and explained my situation and they just asked me if my phone was working properly, if the app was working, etc. I'm giving the benefit of the doubt that it wasn't the same employee, but damn. They're not tech support so why would they tell me to come into the facility just to run basic questions like that?

Expérience négative: Moncton staff is not helpful I went to freeze my membership for 4 months in Feb end as I will not be able to go gym from March till July and they refuse that planet fitness don't freeze it but now I got to know planet fitness do freeze the membership if you inform them but Moncton gym staff do refuse me and charge me for 4 months without any reason. This is last year I am with them I will move with Fit4less or any other gym now.

Expérience fantastique: Another great location on my journeys across the country. The equipment was in great shape and have plenty of space between everything to workout. Also the bathrooms and showers were very clean. My only complaint though is the shower heads have those aerated spritzers on them so takes a longer time for a shower. Other than that definitely a good location to visit.

Expérience négative: The purpose of a gym is to get fit and lose weight. Mirrors show is how fit we are but there are no scales anywhere. It's like a car with no speedometer.
Here at Planet Fitness, we recognize that the number on the scale can be deceptive. Sometimes making you feel that you’re not making progress even when you are! We don't want our PF family to ever feel discouraged so we're keeping it in the closet for now. After all, your weight is affected by far more than just your fat or muscle!
