Expérience fantastique: Had an absolutely great time. Will most definitely be back. The ice was smooth, the rooms clean and the staff was excellent, the girl driver with curly hair really went beyond to make sure the experience was as great as it was.

Expérience positive: Bowness Community Association boasts of a nice community facility tucked in an easily accessible neighborhood of Bowness. My family goes to watch our son play Hockey there and it feels welcoming each time I go there. There are clean rental spaces/halls, activities, art work. The information board on the wall stands out for me. You get information on food support, community support, upcoming opportunities, arts, sports, research etc.

Expérience fantastique: I'd like to thank the BCA for all the wonderful programs they have so I can meet other people in the neighborhood, volunteer in my community. And how they come to the fore in crisis. Love you BCA!

Expérience positive: I can only comment on the Arena portion. The ice is terrible, but the arena is an old school barn that has a certain charm to it. If they improve their ice, it could really be a nice little arena. Hope they figure that portion out.

Expérience fantastique: It's is a lovely facility that houses many ways to bring the community together. There are always classes to take, hockey to watch, and child care. Now even a little bar on the second floor to grab a snack or a drink to watch the kids play hockey. Check out the landing during the day, there's free wifi and it's a quiet place to get things done.

Expérience positive: Great centre with rinks, gyms and other. We are taking pickleball lessons there. Unfortunately the gym floor has many dead spots which presents an additional challenge playing pickleball. 230911 new floor is excellent, only limit is the lower ceiling on the two end courts; otherwise an excellent indoor facility for pickleball

Expérience fantastique: Hockey parents are insane. But the Bowness Community Association is an awesome place to build a community. The rink is always clean and consistent and the facilities have all the amenities you may need (bar).

Expérience fantastique: This is what community associations should strive to be. I showed up to play shinny hockey and everything was really well organised from the signage to the payment. The group of guys were great sports and definitely would recommend. The website clearly communicated when there was shinny, so thatnk you. Inside there are loads of things from community environmental engagement bulitens, a small honor system library, to a great ice rink!

Expérience fantastique: Oh, the memories. I grew up in Bowness and remember when the "Sportsplex" was just a pipe dream. We had outdoor rinks on this property and would show up 30 minutes early to get them shoveled off so that we could play. -40 degrees, it was NOTHING! Then my father and others put together a plan to build the Sportsplex, it was like winning the lottery. PLAYING INSIDE??? What a concept. We became young adults in this arena. We learned about the inner workings of a "community" center, the good, the bad, and the ugly! Fond memories indeed!

Expérience négative: Let's talk ice rinks. Obviously this one's quite old, you can tell just by the dressing room size. Water bottle locations on the bench are nothing to be desired. The ice surface is decent. But the water tastes like it's being pulled directly from the bow River. Don't expect to enjoy a nice shower after the game either. I'm giving it a low score over the facility faults and not the staff.

Expérience positive: Find my self visiting hockey areas around town Bowness Sportsplex is a great place to go for hockey. The heaters work tho the last bench doesn't have one wich is fine the bench them selfs are raised higher than the ice giving you a great vantage point if the rink.

Only comment I have, is that in the wheelchair accessible bathroom, putting the toilet paper holder and garbage container next to the toilet makes it really hard for people like me. I had to sit sideways and it was really uncomfortable. Maybe they could be placed somewhere different. Otherwise, beautiful place.
