Expérience négative: Terrible stuff! they made a mistake and charged fees all that and they didn't pay me back my money .. be careful there, they can charge you fees double above the price of the membership .. You don't care. You don't even listen to the clients. All you do is steal the client's money with a diplomatique way

Expérience positive: Whatever you do, do NOT go there after work hours (5-7pm). Otherwise it’s fine. They should enforce a deodorant rule though. Some people didn’t get the memo.

Expérience négative: I tried this place for a trial one time. I went to washroom just before closing along with others and somebody closed the lights on me. The staff member who was closing was screaming for me to leave but I needed to get my jacket from the cloakroom. I was totally taken aback by his demeanor. Being treated like a criminal for wanting to take the first step in a while toward fitness after going through a mentally year in of hardship and weight gain due to a plantar plate tear. And to be treated like I am not human because I needed to wipe myself and flush the toilet. For the first time in Montreal I felt this was inhumanity indignity and ignorance. I guess he was angry and aggressive because he wanted to close the gym a couple minutes before closing time even though there were men hanging around he did not bother them. Then to make matters worse, he threatened to cancel my membership. The only problem was is that I have no membership. It was a trial day. He then spent a good couple minutes trying to look up my non existent account which made him even more flustered. He seemed very vindictive and wanted to make a point but in his assumptions he forgot that it was in fact the last Thursday of the month. I was very upset with this treatment. According to Google reviews, it would seem that others also experience rudeness from staff and the random cancellation of memberships. I have never heard of this in my life. I am surprised that this is the practice at a gym chain.

Expérience positive: L'endroit est grand les employés sont sympathiques le seul problème c'est que les équipements restent casser beaucoup trop longtemps. La machine que j'aime utiliser est endommagé depuis plus de 6 mois je le mentionne souvent et ce n'est jamais réparé

Expérience fantastique: Les équipements sont récents et bien adaptes ergonomiquement (biomecanique). La salle est grande, le personnel disponible et sympathique et les usagers civils. L'abonnement est économique. Que demander de plus?

Expérience négative: I wish that econofitness at cote des nieges is 24h. Theres a new gym around cote des nieges and its 24h. Theres people that trains at night after work. A lot of hospital workers goes to that new gym because it’s 24h.

Expérience négative: Weight lifting equipment is not accessible for women and management doesn’t respond to requests for changes. Majority of the weight stacks start at 22lbs instead of 11. The solution is simple: remove the heaviest bottom weight and replace it with an 11lb on top. Literally no one uses the machines fully stacked, this would benefit everyone. EDIT: 6 months later nothing changed, so I switched my membership to a different gym. (It also smells gross there!)

Expérience positive: Like how they changed the gym around. More space to workout. Seems like they removed most of the cleaning stations. Staff looks like they disappeared and there’s were no paper towel in all the cleaning stations except one. Hygiene should be a priority in a gym when all equipment are being shared. (Please bring those cleaning stations back) Paper towel should also be in the bathrooms as hand dryers have been shown to increase spread of bacteria. FYI from a practicing nurse

Mais je ne comprends pas pourquoi une grande salle comme celle de cote des neiges avec bouqoup de membres mais il ferme à 23h Je vous demande si il ya une possibilité que la salle reste ouverte 24h sur 24h Autre chose là réparation des machines prend bouqoup de temps

Expérience négative: La gérante Yaz refuse de donner le nom de son directeur ni de courriel ou adresse pour résoudre le problème d'erreur de contrat. Malgré le refus d'accès, la carte a été imputée pour le mauvais montant et la mauvaise formule. C'est un service déplorable pour une erreur qui émane de leur préposé. Trois visites en personne et appels et toujours en attente d'une solution.

Expérience négative: 5 Stars for the Staff Worst review - Maintenance Been coming here for last one year, and thinking to switch with some other gym. Why? 1. Poor Equipment maintenance- the equipment in here has lots of issues and 1/2 months ago- some people came in and did a show off ripping all the treadmill belts, but nothing’s changed. Couple of the equipment’s were temporarily out of service for 8-9 months which is not temporary. 2. This gym cannot afford atleast one weight scale - it’ll be either inside of a room saving up for big occasion( maybe) or it’s gonna be outside very rarely. And please note, I requested the staff, when the new weight scale will be placed, and the answer I got was “We’ve ordered, but don’t know when they’ll arrive” same story since beginning of November. 3. Many of the benches or equipment cushions are spoiled and only replaced 1/2 months, couldn’t remember the exact date. 4. I would recommend not to join Econofitness/ just this gym- Cote Des Neiges Gym 5. Most of the Monitors were in negative colours until November, but to attract new flock, everything has been changed/repaired. Cheers And I’m prepared to receive an automated reply that they’ll take care of it/forward it to their officials/ MG but my perspective/opinion of how things had been over past 1 year , is THEY DON’T CARE Jan 8,2024 Thank you, Make it Happen.

Expérience positive: Most of the staff are good, but some of them are disrespectful and have zero customer care skills. Pros: Good budget Big variety of machines Many branches available in Quebec Cons: The gym is overcrowded after 5pm, some members limit policy should be followed. The showers are very small and most of the times dirty. When a machine is damaged it takes forever to fix it.

Expérience négative: 2023/12/23 between 9:35h and 9:50h ¡With the attention to the management of ECONOFITNES !/ Cristopher Solís Uscanga. I was banned to access three facilities of the 6700 Ch de la Côte-des-Neiges, Montréal QC H3S 2B2 Canada. During that day I BB arrived at the gym wearing canada goose and Black Glacier Trail High Sneakers. Sadly i got a bad experience with one employee previously who turned aggressive once asking me to change my shoes as those were not appropriate however I don't recall that we need to comply with any specific dress code to attend the gymnasium. It seems that the employee main concern is to verify the dress code of the members rather than doing his functions as he was very disrespectful the last time I was there and as mentioned above banned to come in. After that embarrassing situation no one else of the employees did anything to defend me or related. I believe that person needs a better customer service skills and training. I feel very mad by the way I was treated like I was being discriminated. Thank you for your attention and hoping to get any promp feedback.

Expérience négative: I just walked in and got smacked with the stench of vomit. As soon as I realized that it permiates the entire gym, I had to leave. I honestly don't understand how what mental state people have to be in to endure the stench.

Expérience positive: Gym is fine but finding an available locker is becoming a bit of a task, as many people don’t use locks. I’m a bit tired of that but everything else is ok. It can be a bit busy at peak times, but no worse than any other gym.

Rien ne change depuis plusieurs mois Aucune considération pour les usagers un choix délibéré de la haute direction. La seule chose qui est constante c' est le prix de l'abonnement Pour utiliser un matériel dans un état digne du tiers monde. J'aimerais pouvoir rédiger un avis positif après ma séance d'entraînement.

Expérience négative: The management disrespect members if they are make some mistakes in they system, you show your all monthly bank statements it is paid they r ask u show any other months payments you show and it is paid . they r say, they don't care. you have to pay again if you don't paying one more time,what you are already paid they tell you ,you can go in. if you stand up for your right they cancel your card. employees they r nice they only work there but the management disrespect rude with the members they should be respectful with members and understand it is business and to be polite with people and if they have problems with the system they should do double checking with the accounting and try to solve the problem but if they woke with bad mood they don't know what is respect. They should clean the washroom beacose it is disgusting it smells

Expérience négative: This is neglect from the employees and management and I 100% DON'T RECOMMEND this specific Econo. The ick and smell from the dirtiness of the econofitness which even a month later from other reviews with pictures hasn't changed ....and the people who seem to always attend have zero hygiene it's disgusting how strong they smell EVERYTIME I go... Unbearable to work in and makes you hope they wash the equipment cos 80% don't .Also months later, machines still don't get fixed and a lot are broken. Thankfully, I am a woman and there's a woman-only econofitness right next to it. I feel bad for the men who just moved in the area of CDN and want a clean functional gym that lives up to the econofitness they're used to. Shame on management. and they're upping their prices constantly without delivering the promises they're supposed to withhold.

Expérience fantastique: The Cdn location is one of the best in Montreal as it has picked up on professional courtesies people actually cleaning machines. Bravo as its not a social club.

Expérience positive: Bon gym! Appart aux environs de 17-18h, il n'y a pas tant de monde. Le personnel est super gentil de mon coté. Chaque matin, le ménage est passé, ce qui est une bonne chose. - Point négatif: Quelques machines non fonctionnelles peuvent mettre du temps à se faire réparer.

Very disappointing I used to really like coming here but now I refuse to support this kind of business . So unprofessional . Edit : also I’ve gotten injured several times from broken machines and massage chair never works !

However, I am here to bring to your attention these issues which have been ongoing during my time as a member (1+ years). - The smell in the entrance area is disgusting. - The men's bathroom doesn't smell as bad as the entrance, but the surfaces are disgusting, dirty walls, dirty floor, often a layer of wet dust and hair on all porcelain surfaces. Needs some very thorough cleaning. I hope for the women that their bathroom is not as bad... - The overall cleanliness of the place is not amazing, makes me wonder about how clean the machines and weights are. - So many of the treadmills are out of order, or not working properly. in these cases often the speed displayed on the digital display is not the same as the speed of the conveyor belt, and I can feel something rumbling under my feet in that part of the machine. although these machines are functioning to a certain degree, they feel unsafe. These above issues, which seem pretty easily fixable, really detract from the feeling that this gym is part of a chain. It feels like an independently run gym that isn't doing so well financially.

Expérience négative: As for machines and what is necessary for training, I think it is fine. The dressing room is kept too dirty, I understand that the winter season everything is more difficult but they should consider improving the cleanliness in this area. The bathrooms are also too dirty, it seems that they are never maintained. Something that has nothing to do with the gym but with the people who attend it and I don't know if it's something cultural but the smell is unbearable, it seems that they didn't use deodorant or never bathed, it's very difficult to train with such strong odors and they come from many. It is something that in my country I have never perceived, it even seems strange to me. I don't know if multiculturalism makes you meet people who have no problem smelling disgusting.

Expérience négative: Very disgusting place, not clean at all. Very crouded, they should stop registrating people because it’s overloaded! The location is very bad in La plaza shopping center. The parking is very dark, and you could smell the odors from there! The management should consider changing the location to a better place. I couldn’t be motivate to train in that place. However, the reception is very friendly and helpfull. Once my friend’s phone got stolen, and the receptionist helped us getting the guy who stole it and managed to kick him out of the gym. Better to pay more for a better gym, than paying less with Econo.

Expérience négative: I was a member of this gym for a little over a year. the staff are incredibly rude, especially at the reception. The gym closes at 11, but they begin turning off the lights at and asking people to wrap up at 10:30. The gym equipment regularly breaks down, and is not repaired for months at a time. The only reason to give money to this gym is if it is the only option for you, or if you go to the gym in the late evening hours. If not, I would highly recommend registering at a gym that treats their patrons with respect, and maintains the equipment. In the future, I hope another gym opens up in this neighbourhood in order to give the community a better alternative.

Expérience négative: Pros, Cons and one wish! Pros: - This branch is enormous and has too many machines! Cons: - It’s unclean, the walls broken, has old paintings and gloomy a bit (more brightness needed). - The men toilet is terrible! (Same previous point) .. I don’t take photos but it’s SO DIRTY (see the walls around there) and the curtain in the changing room doesn’t cover the whole room! Besides it’s near to the urinate bowls! (No privacy) - The brightness (lights) doesn’t cover the whole gym well! Specifically, the dumples place (for SAFETY purposes). - Most monitors have negative colours. Wish: - I believe this gym could be a 24/7 branch as it has too many machines and it’s at the corner of the mall. So, you can find a way to make doors from outside ;) But before that solve the points above please! Thanks

Expérience négative: Very rude réception. Not professional at all. I sign my son on February 2022 for weekends plan. He tried and told me that it’s very busy on weekends, so in April 2022 I came to the gym and asked to change plan for everyday. But madam opened second account and they charge from me for two accounts for 10 months . Yesterday I been there again to ask what is going on, why they charge twice, madam told me that we have a 2 accounts. But it’s not me who did mistake and asked you to open second account. When I asked her to close one account she said you will have to pay fee if you close your account. Seriously? Very interesting.

Expérience négative: First day of snow, I forgot to bring my pair shoes and the receptionist lady told me to take off it and to do the gym without shoes. I agreed with her, but at the same another guy entered to the gym and I do believe he is the friend of receptionist and the receptionist lady let him in with his shoes which one he came with. I tried ask other receptionist about this that is it fair or the rules are for everyone or some people, he became angry on me and he didn’t talk to me rather he left me right away. It was a clear disrespect. It’s been more than one year I have been going côté des neiges econofitness and I found they are rude.

Expérience fantastique: Great Place! But at peak hours " Super Busy hours" people stay sitting at the machines as if the gym is empty, on there phones between sets, chatting, texting, when they can share the machine, in between sets! The Staff and Managers do not walk around ensuring the rules! Just workout and be done! Its NOT Social Time!!! Stop Stairing at the MIRROR - thats not a Workout! Also, Friends tend to gather together and end up NOT using the equipment, it becomes a "Gosipping Meeting" about other members who are training and woman on how they LOOK / WORKOUT!!! I CAN ACTUALLY HEAR YOU!!! This is at all the Econos I have been too, ALL!!!

On sent un certain laisser-aller depuis quelques semaines: -Machines brisées qui le sont pendant des semaines -Les employés à l'accueil: tant qu'à laisser quelqu'un sur son cell à longueur de journée, vaut mieux mettre une borne ou une affiche écrit ''bonjour'', ça va être plus accueillant - Propreté des douche pas top -Système de musique et télés non fonctionnels... On dirait que personne ne veille à l'entretien général de la place; dommage parce que le local est grand et le choix de machine est bien dans l'ensemble.

Expérience négative: The gym seems to be over capacity at peak hours, there is just not enough space or equipment for everyone. There's is a lot of standing around and waiting. This gym is okay but i'd suggest going to another one if it were the same price and just as convenient.

Some equipments/machines are broken. The vestiaire curtains are so tiny that there is not much privacy when changing clothes. Also, the staff is very unfriendly (no greeting at the entry, no smile no eye contact etc). I have been to several Econofitness locations and this one is not my favorite unfortunately.

Expérience fantastique: Big gym with lots of people. Pros: there’s a dollarama right next to it allowing me to buy Gatorade before going there for 1.5$ Cons: some people don’t wear mask when walking around. Lots of people meaning you have to wait for equipment during rush hours. Place is relatively clean, no issue with the people there. Everyone doing their stuff. Haven’t seen anyone been harassed. The staff are like ghost, you only see them at the entrance and you don’t really get to interact with them on your way in/out. The toilets and cleaning stations for equipment are never empty so that’s good!
Expérience négative: So my review will be quite long; to start, this review is not specific to this location but for the general company and their customer service. I got my membership back in September or october of 2021 if i’m not mistaken, and since then i went a total of two times. I kept paying for the services thinking i would use it more but I didn’t. Then we later went into lockdown and then the gyms only opened back up on February 14th. And that’s when I sent my first email explaining how i didn’t use their service and that i wanted a refund for when the gyms were closed because of lockdown. I didn’t ask for the months before that because i had decided to keep paying for those months . Anyways the email had said i had to pay 29$ in order to cancel and get a refund which felt silly because why would i pay to get my money back. So i kinda left that like that and back in march I sent an other email re-explaining the situation hoping that someone would understand, I got no reply until yesterday, exactly a month later. Now what this email was saying that there was 60 dollars in fees that i had to pay in order to cancel so instead of refunding me and cancelling the service they explained that they would use my refund to pay these fees to then allow me to cancel. May I add that while waiting for a response they still tried to charge me and I had blocked my credit card since i’m currently trying to pay it off, and they have been doing this even after telling them in february that i wanted them to cancel it. Anyways never was I rude or annoying about this, i’ve stayed extremely patient and quite respectful during this whole thing but at this point it’s really frustrating. I have never seen a customer service like this. (For some reason google has put a random name, But my name is Lydia Dabin-chaput)
Expérience positive: I am a member of econofitness from the last three years. I visited four different econo gyms during this time. I think this place has cleanliness, friendly staff and nice equipment. The only thing that i will suggest is to decrease the repair time of the broken machines. I have seen some machines broken for a week or more. Rest its one of the best place for workout.
Expérience positive: I switched from the econo on van horne (Extra au Feminin) and I am so glad I did! There’s parking, many machines (cardio, benches etc) however some may be full during rush hours. i am still able to complete my workout without being stressed about machines being fully booked. It is just unfortunate that it is located in the basement so no natural light and a stinky smell that welcomes you right at the entrance
Expérience négative: Je vais à ce gym, car il est prêt de chez moi. Cependant, il y a beaucoup de problèmes avec celui-ci. Premièrement, c’est un gym très achalandé, mais il b’est pas ouvert 24h. Deuxièmement, les plafonds sont couverts de moisissures & ils coulent?!? Il y a un tuyau qui fait des gouttes sur tout l’ensemble du gym & a coulé sur moi. Troisièmement, la climatisation/air climatisée est atroce. Il fait très chaud dans le gym, même en hiver, & ça pu le renfermé & la sueur. Quatrièmement, il est sale. Je me suis assise à terre un jeudi matin à l’ouverture & mes shorts avaient de la saleté dessus. Il faut faire quelque chose!

Expérience négative: Literally the abduction machine as been broken for years, it was broken before they closed the gym and it still is lol. They never repair the machine and put them as if they were.
