Expérience négative: This gym has went down hill. Would highly suggest a different gym. Girlfriend attempted to do a 3 day trial at this gym Each workout began with stress at the front desk. The first night a man nearly denied her,. She has never entered the gym before. The second day a really nice accommodating woman was at the front desk. She saw a complication and said "have a great workout we will sort out this after.", The third day, a woman at the front desk told her even though its her second day, she cant enter due to the system. After much discussion and phonecalls, she eventually let her in for her last workout of her 3 day trial. Needless to say, I attempted to get my girlfriend to join this gym. We thought the hard part would be the workout, but it ended up being the front desk. Ironic because she will never step a foot in the door again. Way to lose a potential member! Oh the system!

Expérience négative: They charge you an astronomical amount of fees that they don't tell you about at the start and end of your contract. Horrible customer service and rude staff. Pricey and equipment always broken down.

Expérience positive: Decent gym. It’s usually pretty clean and has what I need. Nice view and most of the staff are friendly. Gets pretty busy. But please, do something about the personal trainer(s) dowsing themselves in cologne. It’s unbearable to be within 15 feet of. I’ve also observed them not wiping down their machine, or putting weights back which is pretty annoying. Other than that, it’s a good gym

Expérience fantastique: This gym is pretty decent and it provides the privacy I need when I work out. The best part about it though is the people. They are all really wonderful. Expérience fantastique: Six months ago, I started my fitness journey on my own, but recently decided to take it up a notch by joining Club 16 with a personal trainer. After registering, I received a warm welcome from Peter Hanson (Fitness Manager), who paired me with Bryce Elahi as my trainer. I feel incredibly lucky to have Bryce guiding me. He’s attentive, respectful, and consistently motivates me to push beyond my limits. Today, after an intense leg day with Bryce, I can barely walk—but it’s a testament to how he maximizes my potential and helps me work toward my goals. Expérience positive: Work out has always been part of my routine, but lately, I just felt unmotivated to continue. I hit that block point where you work out relentlessly but you don't see the result. I didn't want to quit though! I gave myself another shot and decided to start this journey with a personal trainer this time. I got matched with one of the best trainers in the gym, Amir Rostami, and had a very transformative and positive experience. He made sure to list my goals and followed up regularly to check how my routine is matching to my fitness goals. I saw great result in a short time and this couldn't happen without Amir's dedication and ongoing support. Careful though, you will defo feel the muscle soreness!!! :)) His support and knowledge is priceless!! I definitely recommend him!!! :) I removed one star because the total atmosphere of the gym is sometimes untidy, people come with low hygiene and the front desk people are mostly away or not welcoming.

Expérience négative: I had a highly disappointing experience with Club 16 - Trevor Linden Fitness in North Vancouver. After submitting my membership cancellation on July 19, I was surprised to find two unauthorized charges on my credit card on July 26 and August 9, even though I was no longer a member. When I tried to resolve this by emailing their customer service, I was given an incorrect email address by the staff (Ava and Anna) at the front desk, which delayed the resolution process. Upon finally reaching the correct email, I received dismissive and unhelpful responses. Instead of addressing my concerns about the unauthorized charges, they lectured me about grammar, which was entirely irrelevant and unprofessional. The requirement to cancel memberships via email, rather than in person, is clearly a flawed process that only serves to inconvenience customers and open the door for errors. This has been a deeply frustrating experience, and I would strongly caution others against joining this gym. I am now working with my bank to open a fraud investigation into the charges. Club 16. this is no way to treat your clients.

Expérience négative: My mom lost her headphones. Multiple staff and a manager said they would open the machine she lost it in. Then never did (it's been 3 months). No one got back to me dispite many calls and emails. Eventually, after asking the manager she said she gave it to someone else and that they opened the machine and there was nothing there. However, the staff on hand the day they "opened the machine", said no maintenance staff came that day. Pretty terrible managment team and mediocre service.

Expérience négative: It’s supposed to be a gym for women. I signed a contract with them, but shortly afterward, I had a miscarriage. I wanted to cancel, and they asked me for a medical letter and to fill out a form, which I did and sent. I thought it was already canceled, but they kept charging me for months. I wrote to them, and they told me that the person who was supposed to handle my cancellation had stopped working with them, so the process wasn’t completed. They apologized and offered to let me use the months I had already paid for as an option. I told them I preferred to get my money back because I am now pregnant and don’t want to take any risks. After that, they have been ignoring my messages. I am very disappointed I am thinking of going to Consumer Protection Bc.

Expérience négative: I’m not sure how I feel about this location compared to the other ones yet. The space to workout is nice and the equipments are well distributed… however, the staff needs improvement. They are either never around or just plain rude. It was 9:47 pm (Monday, Aug 12th) and I wanted to use the hydro (which I’m allowed to up to ten minutes prior to closing), I couldn’t find anyone upstairs, I looked even by the refrigerator but no one there, so I went downstairs and again nobody at reception, I said ‘hello??’ and a woman showed up wearing AirPods from the office next to reception, she has dark skin tone, black hair and a strong accent. I asked her to use the hydro and she explained the hydro is upstairs and I had to go back up but that they wouldn’t let me use it at this point because it was already 9:51 pm, I told her nobody was at reception upstairs and that there should have been someone there to help me, she said ‘what do you want me to do I’m not the manager I just work here’ so I told her she could tell the manager there should have been someone upstairs to help because just the time I lost trying to get information / find someone made me ‘late’ to use the hydro, she shrug her shoulders and went back to the office. If you want to have a big gym with two floors there should be enough staff even close to closing time. Also, there is a big ‘ad’ about the hydro in the staircase and how you should upgrade your membership to use it lol what is the point of advertising if they make it so difficult lol

Expérience négative: I have had the worst run around of people telling me something different. All I wanted to do was close my account for a little while as I’ve been with them for years and I just needed a break. They gave me a customer service email to cancel it and then they say they will after one more month of payments. My card was cancelled due to fraud so they keep charging me and then when it declines they charge me overage charges. I called a few times and they tell me something different every time. Last week I CONFIRMED with the girl that if I come in to pay TODAY that there are notes and they will 100 percent wage the fees. Unbelievable that I call today to make a payment and the rudest girl on the phone with a European accent named Anna apparently was giving me the worst attitude and saying that she makes the decision and I haveto pay it all. I have referred so many people to this gym. I can’t believe how I get treated and this is on going with this girl. I have had the same attitude fork her before and did my best to not let it ruin my time there but it’s too far gone after todays behaviour I am absolutely appalled at this runaround over a freeze I wanted but now I will never go back and I’ll make sure to spread the word. I am absolutely pissed at this point.

Expérience négative: Charged insanely high late fees for a missed payment due to getting a new credit credit card, make you jump through hoops to cancel your membership. I’m sick of these predatory business practises by gyms. They get you in the door with the low monthly fees but then charge huge fees anytime they can get away with it. The gym itself is ok, way more cardio machines than what are needed and not enough free weights, but overall decent.

I canceled it and said sorry I will not pay that price for a one time drop in. Didn't even offer a free 3 day trial like Fitness world. Expérience négative: If I could give this place 0 stars, i would. My experience at club 16 was the worst. No wonder, because even the staff doesn't take it seriously. I caught one of the staff members, she was chubby with brown hair smoking out of a pipe/bong in her car and then going back to her shift. That is extremely unprofessional. Another terrible encounter I had was with Julia at the reception. I asked her for a hip thrust pad and she completely ignored me and made horrendous faces at me. I don't know if she thinks that was attractive or what, it was disgusting. That is not customer service. I seriously don't know how these two in specific still work there.

If you want to use the She's Fit area it is like a dungeon in the basement. The layout overall is disjointed and not very functional. Expérience fantastique: Good gym. Equipment is good, space between each station, clean. The crowd that attends are also open and nice, unlike some gyms that favour bone heads, and gym rats. Highly recommend.

Expérience négative: Had a unique experience that I thought was very odd. I asked if I could join the fitness classes in the main area (not Shes fit) and because I am a male, they told me males are excluded from fitness classes. I found this ridicolous and then they tried selling me personal training. I asked another staff member the following day and they said that men could join but it seemed to be on the "approval" of one male personal trainer who runs the classes. The staff member seemed to try to discourage me from joining heavily because I'm a male. At this point I was only interested and then found out they would charge over 20.00 a class anyways (probably alot more than this). A community center has it much more affordable. I found this a very odd form of exclusionary type of discrimination. Also I found it odd that they kept trying to sell me personal training instead constantly. Also it felt like another type of underlying exclusionary practice of an discrimination. Please do better than this. I've come for 3 years+ now but didnt ever feel excluded before this in an odd form of sexism and/or underlying level of another issue.

Expérience positive: Overall I enjoy this gym. Good amount of different strength training machines and cardio equipment. The hours could be later because people work different sets of hours. Weekend hours are way too early. I suggest closing at 11pm weekdays, 10pm Saturday, 9pm Sundays

Expérience négative: They make it impossible for a membership to be canceled, even after you request in person more than once, along with sending email. Even after you moved to another city almost 2 years ago, they still keep charging and harassing you for further payments, after my credit card company suggested changing the card so they can't charge it anymore. Now, being harassed multiple times every week for credit card update and the hypothetical "bill" growing, I'm being forced to ask legal support. That's because their rude staff is either clueless or instructed to make it impossible. If you don't want CLUB 16 to RIP YOU OFF in hundreds of dollars like they're doing to me, STAY AWAY FROM THESE SCAMMERS!!!

Expérience négative: I come to your gym 1, 2 or maximum 3 times a month when my schedule aligns with my wife's, who is a member. Before the drop in was 10$, which was expensive, but acceptable. Last time I came, they asked me 5 times where my membership card was and i told them I didn't have one. They were so surprised,  same like the only option to get in the gym was as if one was a member. I wanted to exercise and to pay for a drop in. Then, visibly upset and looking at me annoyed, the employees at the front desk told me, drop in was 20$. 20$ ? Since when this doubled and why? So I left. I like your gym, but I will not pay 20$ for a single drop in practice. Sorry! I don't know what you think your gym is, but your management is confused. There are other gyms in the neighborhood. If you think you will force me to become a member this way, you are wrong. Exactly the opposite.  Now you lost two clients. I'll just go somewhere else and will take my wife with me.

Expérience fantastique: I am impressed by club 16’s staff members a lot and I appreciate all their fitness support. I met with Sarah to sign up for a membership since I had cancelled my membership back in 2019 due to COVID. Sarah was not pushy at all but recommended that I go with a personal trainer to help me reach my fitness goals. At the time, I did not realize what a helpful advice that was until I did sign up and I went for my first few training sessions with my PT. Now, I realize Sarah knew what I needed better than myself and I am honestly so thankful to her for recommending the perfect PT. The personal trainer Sarah recommended to me was Ghazaleh. Ghazaleh was very lovely and asked about my fitness goal at our first meeting. Then she explained how she will help me achieve those goals. As of right now, I’ve had about 6 training sessions with Ghazaleh and I cannot express how happy I am with her. She is so motivating, she is fun to be around, she has such a good energy, and pushes me to be the best version of myself. Usually on days when it’s raining outside and I’m working from home, I feel so unmotivated to go outside to run my errands but ever since having my training sessions with Ghazaleh, I actually look forward to leaving the house to exercise. I feel great mentally and physically already and I cannot wait to see more changes Thank you Ghazaleh and Sarah, you are both amazing

Expérience négative: I have been attending this gym for about a year or so. Overall it’s a great gym. Problem I have is the downstairs ladies side. Whenever I come in there is about 3 to 4 staff just standing at the counter. They barely acknowledge anybody coming in since they are busy talking to each other or looking at their phones. And if that’s not enough there is more staff in the offices. Not sure what the point is of having so many people downstairs when upstairs is lacking staff. Please teach your staff to acknowledge members coming in and maybe smile once in a while.

Expérience négative: Not a good experience with this gym. Too many hidden costs, staff unfriendly, unprofessional, inconsiderate. Could not join because they can’t put your membership on hold and I travel a lot so I just started doing drop-ins. Drop-ins went from $10 to $20 without any warnings. The staff need to be more compassionate and show they care when someone has a complaint. No smiles

Expérience négative: Love the gym portion, the services, and the equipment. The customer service at the individual clubs is great, with friendly supportive staff. However.... at an administration level or head office, it is sorely lacking as it is non-existent. You can NOT contact them directly. Any attempt is addressed at the location, and you are told it is passed forward, and there is nothing more they can do. I've been a long-term member, 5+ years.

Expérience négative: Be very careful with your membership here and make sure you understand all the loopholes in their contracts.I have been a member here for years only because it's close to where I live and I like the She's fit option. But I've been ripped off multiple times and every time they have a very "legal" reason for it. The most recent rip off was when I cancelled my membership couple weeks ago but today I saw a charge of $41.99. When I called I was told when you request cancelation, you give them 30-days notice and during this period they can charge you for everything. This $41.99 was a yearly charge they get from all their members (god knows why they even do this on top of the membership cost!). They just make up their own rules and you won't know you're trapped until it's late.

Expérience négative: Very unprofessional and poor service and rude. I and my friend went to the gym to try a month and see if we want to continue on or not. Not even couple month, we noticed that they charged us 3-4 times per month, so soon we found It out. We wanted to solve it, however the staffs are very unprofessional and unhelpful at all. Still waiting it to be solved. I asked for the head office contact informations, but I have told by the staff that we are not allowed to contact with the head office. There is something wrong and they are coving each others back to not letting us talk to the head office. We just went there 1-2 times since these couple month. We are fully done with the gym! We have been with others gyms for several years and nothing happened like this. Can’t believe how staffs got trained here. Very disappointed for their unprofessional rude service. Expérience fantastique: I improved so much going to Club 16, but I really could not have done it without Miloslav Kapic! He's an incredible personal trainer, and genuinely fun to meet. There's a reason the whole gym loves and respects this guy; he's helped so many people including me exceed their goals! He's extraordinarily knowledgeable, and really built my confidence as a newcomer. I've been going here for a few months now, and I could not recommend it more, especially because of Milo!

Expérience négative: Do not fall for "only give us 30 days notice to cancel " scam . They will charge 78 dollars fee. Even tho I made suer if that when I got membered that how is it going to be when I want to cancel? and the lady said give us only 30 days notice any time you want to cancel. it does say it on their website and their staff gave me wrong information. It's call scamming and fraud. I'll be suing this club. Good luck. I did see your reply. Well, the thing is the person who helped me sign up is obligated to give me all the information which she gave me wrong information and that is what I'm talking about. Not to mention that I asked her as well. I was really clear. Your reply does not change the fact that your staff gave me wrong information and withhold the information from me and also does not change the fact that the information you are giving me right now is still not on your website. like I said false advertising and scam. But we also would like to let you or anyone reading this review know that we do have different membership types with different terms and that is why we always discuss the terms and conditions of your membership in person as well as sending you a copy of your agreement which you sign on your email address and you have 10 days to ask for cancellation if you do not agree with the terms. Expérience négative: Went to check out the club - waited at the front desk for almost 10 mins before anyone showed up to help, after finally getting my 3 day pass I went in to explore. The gym floor was dirty with minimal amounts of plates, and mismatched damaged dumbbells. Change rooms are also dirty, with garbage left on the counters. The vibe was dead too - no music or energy - definitely wouldn’t consider joining this facility.

Expérience négative: I had a fitness assessment at this location. They basically told me I'm fat then had me lift weights in front of a bunch of seasoned gym pros. Not a great experience for someone new to lifting. The gym is ran by a bunch of teenagers. I tried to get in touch online to cancel many times but had to eventually go in person. I definitely won't go again.

Expérience négative: Taking my 5 star review back, had a good experience and Erick’s an amazing GM Until Jonathan the “Fitness Manager” came up. Interrupting my workout, being extremely rude, saying I’m not allowed to do deadlifts because people can hear me? And then asking for my name threatening to do an incident report? Wow I’m so impressed by your customer service Johnathan.

Expérience fantastique: My favourite gym by far. The women’s area is especially great with two floors, lots of equipment and a really nice stretching area downstairs with other varied small equipment. I really like that there isn’t the feeling of being too “open” which makes me feel comfortable working out no matter where I am. I can always find my own little corner and just get the workout done and be in my own space.

They promised us not to charge any bi-weekly membership dues because of paying all of the years membership and trainer cost in advance, However after 2 weeks they started to charge my credit card. If I knew they will charge bi-weekly, I would think more and do not pay $800 up front

Expérience négative: The “Trainer” Leila on Lonsdale was completely unprofessional towards my significant other. She was attempting to use the only washroom accessible to women upstairs.. and Leila came running towards and rudely told she not allowed to use it because of the wet paint sign ambiguously placed. 1. Why the painting during open hours 2. Why not a sign that says closed (English is her second language) She then begin complaining openly to her client on the gym floor as my girlfriend walked away accusing her of being stupid with hand gestures and facial expressions of disgust. She did this not knowing I was watching the entire interaction. So shocked that a employee would treat a guest that way. Then openly mock them to other clients. Wow. .. the ironic part is the big bold letters on the wall “NO JUDGEMENT”. UPDATE: No one from Management ever contacted me to resolve this issue. 8 mths later... still waiting.

Expérience négative: I asked someone working ( an older female ) if she knew where I could find some paper towel, due to the fact I knocked my water bottle over and made a little mess, she replied .... " Why don't you go ask those guys at the front desk, I am in a session!" I didn't really see the older gentleman in front of her doing a seated wall excercise, while she just stands there not doing anything ..." I was a personal trainer before and I would NEVER speak to a member of a gym. I couldn't believe the way she spoke to me... Unacceptable

Expérience négative: My husband is unable to use the gym for now due to health reasons. We've asked to put his membership on hold rather than cancel. We were told to get a letter from our doctor. You just have to look at my husband to know he can't use the gym right now. We will NOT tie up the medical system with unnecessary requests or pay for a letter.

Expérience négative: I want to point out. The fitness center, which should support a healthy lifestyle, is not able in a few yesrs to prepare a zone where you can safely leave a bicycle. Last week I decided to go to the gym by bike and parked right in front of the entrance door. Sure I locked my bike with locker. However bike was stolen and locker was snapped. I asked how this is possible and I reported to RCMP. I was asking view of camera but there is not cameras! No camera!! Because guys be careful of you go to gym by bike. Nobody care where is your bike even if you drop off in front of door reception.

Expérience positive: staff is great. super nice!! love the gym, just why is there a water heat restriction level on the showers in the womens changerooms. I ran a couple showers for 15 min and every single one only goes to half way to heat level and there freezing. ice cold. it would be a nice to have a shower thats not ice cold.
