Expérience positive: Eveything is good except 2 things. 1. Parking lot time 2 hours is too short. Make it 3 hours as it was a few years ago. 2. Resistance (strength) machines are squeezed in 2 small areas. Spread them out and get some more. Thank you.

Expérience négative: I’ve never seen a gym as horrible as this one. It's always packed with people, and I can *never* get my workout done. Today, I walked out without even finishing my workout because there were absolutely no machines available. People just leave their towels and keys on the equipment and go off to use others. It's beyond frustrating! And don’t even get me started on the steam room — it's covered in mold and completely run-down. This is a total disrespect to paying customers, especially considering how expensive the membership is.

Expérience négative: Parking is a major concern. Two hours of free parking is insufficient, as even going one minute over the limit results in a $5 charge. GoodLife should negotiate with the parking company to extend the free parking to three hours, especially given the high membership cost. I've already paid twice for parking, and it feels like a system designed to take more of your money. The steam room is also problematic; you have to wait 15-20 minutes for the steam to generate, and it only lasts for a few minutes—this feels like a scam. If you have access to another GoodLife location nearby, I would recommend avoiding this one.

My fault for forgetting my lock today and not having a choice but to leave my purse in the locker without a lock but all my cards were stolen very professionally and within minutes all my cards were used in various stores.

Expérience négative: Horrible experience, would give zero stars if I could. My friend and I got into a verbal disagreement with an inconsiderate gym-goer, and the situation was handled exceptionally bad. The first worker that approached us, CJ, didn't bother to hear our side before telling us that we were in the wrong and we had to leave the machine. The second employee to approach us, Rohan, was even worse. He was rude off the bat, and only got increasingly more unpleasant. He was interrogating us like we were criminals as we were clearly distraught, and when I refused to give him my number he said "are you sure you wanna go that route". I will never go to this gym again because of how unheard I was, and how aggressively I was addressed by workers that are there to help. edit: I was suspended from all goodlife locations for a year for defending myself in a frustrating, and uneasy position. Goodlife will protect its horrible workers before they protect their paying members. Go to another gym with workers who will show you respect.

Expérience positive: One of my main GoodLife locations that I workout at. Great location, up to date equipment, spacious, good vibe, staff are friendly, and all around a good place to workout. The only downside is the parking is only for 2 hours and it's sometimes time crunching, as well as it's always busy.

Expérience négative: The men's shower room is absolutely disgusting. There are no shower doors, they have cloth curtains which never fully dry. All you smell while taking a shower is the mold on the curtains. They replaced them 6 months ago but it's cloth so what do you expect. The showers need a renovation badly and shower doors is a must-have. I'm sure this is a health hazard.

Expérience négative: This Goodlife location was really great but it has become a gongshow lately.. The gym wasn’t really crowded after 9pm but now it is packed until around 10 or 11 on the weekdays.. There should be another Goodlife in Etobicoke since there are only two of them (here and another in the West Mall) and they are all concentrated in the south part of Etobicoke.

Expérience négative: The Goodlife itself is alright, however the parking situation here is a disaster. I tried to exit today, however, the machine wasn’t working and pushed me over the 2 hour limit and the parking attendant blatantly said it’s not their issue and I have to pay when the machine works in order to exit. Very disappointing.

Expérience négative: January 31.2024 - Wednesday The incident occurred between 9pm- 10pm : GoodLife Fitness Etobicoke Bloor/ Islington violated their own anti-theft policy. The explanation: Use of lockers is at your own risk and GoodLife Fitness is not liable for any theft of or damage to the items left in lockers; however, theft is a criminal offence and a serious violation of GoodLife's Core Values. Any Member or Visitor that is found to have violated the anti-theft policy will be subject to an immediate suspension of their Membership and ban from all Clubs, as well as the potential of criminal prosecution. There was a guy who saw who took my phone and he understood that I was looking for my phone and he pointed out the guy : so I confronted him and he said he had already returned it to the front desk. The front desk said NO. I asked one of the staff to come with me to confront the guy again because it was obvious at that point he stole and shut down my phone. When we were going back to the lifting area we saw that guy coming out of the change room; he panicked and he handed it back but I did not want to altercate and escalate the situation, I knew it wasn’t a good idea to put him in sleep! I was not angry at the thief at all. He does what he does best! However the staff did not want to do anything about it even though it was on cameras and there were witnesses and he said “it’s a lengthy process, you got the phone back , I don’t want to take this to my manager, he can not do anything about it as well, we can not identify the guy” WHAT ARE THE CAMERAS FOR It’s for security and identifying this kind of person if a theft happens! I asked three times to take further action, he got an attitude on his face . He literally didn’t wanna talk to the thief , getting his name and double checking on cameras , then cancelling his membership! I come to this gym , my family as well. The staff acted like it was my fault even though I didn’t leave my belongings in a locker; i was carrying them with me and when I was looking for a cable handle , in a short period of time getting stole my phone. He kept saying this is downtown( not really downtown ends on bathurst), Toronto , it happens often , there’s nothing to do with an attitude ( don’t waste my time , I wanna finish my shift and go home type of attitude) ; what a sentence to tell a client !!! Please do your due diligence about the incident and take action according to your anti-theft policy! Thanks.

Expérience négative: Had a frustrating experience at GoodLife Etobicoke Bloor Islington Place on January 31st around 9:00 PM. While my husband was working out, someone swiped his phone. Thankfully, a witness pointed out a guy in a red shirt who seemed involved. After some back and forth, the guy reluctantly handed back the phone, but the staff seemed indifferent and even discouraged us from taking further action. They shrugged it off like it's no big deal, saying theft happens all the time. We felt unsupported and disappointed with their lack of concern for member safety and adherence to their own policies. Management needs to step up their game when it comes to handling incidents like this, so dissapointing!

Expérience fantastique: Wanted to give a shout-out to Coach Katherine for having so much patience with me and allowing me to get the mobility I was not able to access for a long time. I was able to fully retract my shoulders on my amazing bench for the first time in a while. Noice.

Expérience négative: This gym used to be decent but recently is almost impossible to have a good workout because it is over capacity when it comes to its members and every time less space. Not not mention the trainers are super rude and the workers don’t even greet you or acknowledge you at all.

Expérience positive: It's a nice gym (especially since the renovation seems to be nearly done) and there's a good selection of equipment. Avoid coming after school (3:00pm-5:00pm) if you haven't packed the patience of a Saint. Lots of the high school kids don't clean anything they use (shocked they know which part of the water fountain to use sometimes). No one walks around to make sure they are lifting correctly (most aren't because they aren't being taught). Not the worst location you could attend. They do have a nice studio.

Expérience négative: I used to love this Goodlife! It had all the machines I need, it’s a nice clean space and it’s close to home. However I had to switch locations a while ago because one of the workers was extremely creepy and constantly made me uncomfortable, tons of sexual comments and touchiness. He was a muscular Eastern European with reddish brown hair. Unfortunately can’t remember his name. A shame since I loved this gym so much

Expérience fantastique: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently attended a Regymen class with the incredible instructor Paula, and I must say it was an absolutely amazing experience! From the moment I walked into the class, I was greeted with warmth and enthusiasm. Paula's positive energy was infectious, and it set the tone for the entire session. Her passion for fitness and her dedication to helping her students achieve their best shines through in every moment of the class. All instructions were clear and motivating throughout. She guided us through a challenging workout with patience, ensuring that everyone, regardless of their fitness level, felt comfortable and included. Her knowledge of the Regymen program was evident, and she offered valuable tips and encouragement along the way. It can be intimidating to try a new fitness class, but the friendly demeanor and sense of humor instantly put everyone at ease. It felt more like a workout with friends rather than a typical gym class. The Regymen class itself was intense, but it left me feeling accomplished and energized. It was a fantastic workout that left me looking forward to the next session. Overall, my experience at Regymen was exceptional. If you're looking for a challenging and enjoyable fitness class with an amazing instructor, I highly recommend giving it a try. Expérience fantastique: The addition of the Regymen classes are the best and have really helped me change up my workouts. The coaches are amazing - the perfect balance of pushing you to work & also knowing how to help you modify parts of the workouts depending on your ability/any injuries etc. I LOVE my classes with Coaches Kat, Vic and Lisa! Their energy and experience makes coming to class something i look forward to! Overall, this GL location has also done some great renovations in the past year, too - the new fitness studio is bigger and better, and the spin studio is great. LOVE the recovery room, too (the latter is accessible to Performance members) It's a great location!

Expérience fantastique: I have been visiting Goodlife Fitness at Kingsmill Etobicoke Bloor Islington Place for over 7 years. More recently they have renovated the whole facility and i love the new vibe and the new studio. Love the fact that there are 5 dedicated stations for squats, deadlifts and the like exercises and love the environment of sharing and comaraderie in the populace. Highly recommended.

Expérience fantastique: I have been doing the new Regymen classes since May and they are excellent. The coaches are very knowledgeable and hands on, assisting with modifications and always encouraging. It is like having your own personal trainer in a group class. I love that you can work at your own pace and ability. In addition, using the MyZone belt provides that extra motivation because you are your stats on the screen. The coaches, the music, the people you get to know and the various and always changing exercises make this a truly extraordinary and addictive experience each and every time you take one of the classes.

Expérience négative: My experience with GoodLife Fitness has been disappointing. The sauna has been out of service for two months, a recurring issue each year. And even when it's operational, it takes 15-20 minutes to produce any steam. I don’t see that happening to the gyms downtown. The worn-out towels provided are far from effective in drying. It's frustrating that the equipment is almost always under maintenance, disrupting workouts. Broken lockers only add to the list of issues. The gym's capacity is clearly insufficient to meet demand. The 2 hour free parking is not enough considering that you have to wait forever to use an equipment. (workout, cardio, sauna, shower). While the new area is nice, the overall offering doesn't justify the high cost.

Expérience fantastique: The staff at this location are very friendly and quick to help you. They are very welcoming as well. I have been coming to Regymen at this location for about 2 months now, and I love it!! The trainers are great. They take the time to help you with your form, motivate you, and make the class fun. I have had classes with Illia, Kat, Ludmilla, Victoria, and Paula, and each one of them have left me with nothing but a positive experience. They all make the classes fun and challenging in their own way. Keep up the great work guys. The class has become very popular and those who try it, end up staying (which is great). However, the classes are becoming too packed and they get booked within minutes, with a long waitlist. Instead of increasing the class size, it would be great to have more sessions in the evenings and weekends, once resources allow it. This way people can workout without the risk of injury.

Expérience négative: As an experienced gym goer, based on many attempts to workout, I felt air circulation was very poor in the weight room leaving a scent in the air. Also noticed filming going on making it akward to train or walk around. The Raised Floor shakes when people do deadlifts. There is a concrete floor and baffles me as to why its not placed there instead. The layout is random and needs some adjusting.

Expérience négative: The cleaners at this gym take away from the experience. Between 9PM-12AM the cleaners put the gym out of commission for anyone looking to work out in the quieter areas of this gym. This gym is one of the busiest Goodlifes in the GTA, logically, if you come at a slower off peak time to avoid the crowding you should be able to work out in peace. At this club not a chance. 7 days a week the cleaners will be sweeping at your feet, mopping around your mat leaving you smelling like mop water and wetting your shoes and clothes. In every other Goodlife the cleaners come overnight to avoid this issue. It has been brought up to management 4 times and nothing changes. It's extremely frustrating given the price we pay here not to mention its not safe. What about if someone turns an ankle or slips and falls? Will something change then? Please do something with the scheduling of these cleaners, this gym is busy most nights until after midnight no one should be paying money to have there feet swept with a dirty broom 7 days a week.

Expérience négative: Nice facility but lacking the equipment that bigger Goodlife gyms have and this place is BUSY, almost always. seems it doesn’t matter what time you show up, it’s packed. Easily the busiest goodlife I’ve ever been to. Be prepared to wait for equipment and be hounded by other gym goers every 2 mins about how many sets you have left.

Expérience fantastique: While I am not typically inclined to leave reviews, I feel compelled to express my obsession with the instructor, Racheal S. I have attended several of her classes, including RPM and body pump and have consistently been impressed by her positivity, upbeat energy, and willingness to assist her students. What boggles my mind is how she manages to maintain an incredible energy throughout her workouts. She frequently make changes to her workouts, which is excellent. She always make me leave her classes crawling, and I just can't get enough of her classes. She is a goddess at her art and I sincerely recommend her classes. My physique feels incredibly toned, and I can't believe I survived this long.

Expérience fantastique: Thanks to Illia, a great personal trainer at this Etobicoke location, in only 3 months I have noticed huge changes both physically and mentally. He’s been able to coach me through and bring my levels of fitness and coordination well beyond what I would have been able reach on my own. If you are new to the gym like me I would highly recommend having a trainer like Illia start you off with the right technique and routines. He will push you, that is what he’s there for, and you will see and feel the results.

Expérience positive: There is a good selection of equipment and it is well maintained and generally newer however there are definitely not enough strength training machines. Even after the renovations, they chose to add a seating area instead of allocating the area for all machines - and the new area of machines is filled with really old ones that should have been retired. This means that if you go to the gym after work (like the majority of people) you are going to be consistently waiting for machines to be free or waste your time walking from one area to another to another looking for a machine to be free. The 2 hour parking is also annoying. If you go over by even one minute you have to pay $9 - which is ridiculous! Also, 2 hours is really not enough time to park, go up to the gym and change, get in a good workout, stretch, change and get out before you run out of time. Certainly not enough time to shower. There really should be zero limit for the parking but a 3 hour minimum would make a lot more sense. The gym and its employees don't seem interested in receiving any feedback directly, or else I wouldn't be putting it here. In fact, there isn't even a mechanism for feedback after classes - which seems silly. Why don't they care what we think of the different instructors, considering how much it costs to have a membership which includes the classes?

Expérience positive: I have been going to this location for 5 years and had the best Zumba class with Michelle G. for the first time. She was covering for another instructor for Sunday's 10:30am Zumba class. Her choreography is incredibly energetic, fun, sexy and you lose so much calories. She does not use lazy and repetitive dance moves at all. This location needs to hire her ASAP as a Zumba instructor. She is the best Zumba instructor so far, her songs are all reggaeton and latin-inspired moves. It felt a big dance party while doing our cardio. My only complaint regarding the new group fitness room is that there are very limited mirrors. All the mirrors are facing our back during our workout which makes no sense. It is so obsolete. Whoever's idea was to have mirrors at the end of the room, it was not successful at all. Mirror should be facing the front of the room. My feedback is to install mirrors on the big front wall because mirror helps with spatial awareness, inspires us to work out harder and prevent injury.

He is an outstanding trainer; he is friendly, very knowledgeable, and patient with his clients. His professional background in sports has been a huge asset. He's very good at helping me work through an injury. Over the past few months, I have seen great results thanks to his excellent training plan. Highly recommend!

They are currently renovating the space to improve and modernize and I’m very excited to see the end product. It’s always clean and the staff are so personable and helpful. A big shout out to Illia, one of the personal trainers, and lucky for me, my personal trainer. He is so knowledgeable about the human body and working out, and he makes exercising a thing of pleasure and not something to dread. I have already started noticing results, and I owe it all to Illia’s workout plans, and constant motivation. Thank you! Highly recommend coming to this GoodLife location! Expérience fantastique: I've been going here for fitness classes for a few months now and I'm very happy with it. The instructors are better than another location I'm familiar with, the fitness studio is very large (fits 35 participants), and there are many classes throughout the whole day on most days! They are currently renovating the place too. Also, there is free underground parking for 2 hours as long as you bring your ticket upstairs to get validated! My only complaint is that there are very limited mirrors in the studio and none of them are at the front of the room.

Newly renovated spinning room is very hot and muggy mainly if you are attending the second or third class of the day - condensation on the windows - terrible ventilation and heating. Management is aware of the problem but won't fix it, and will not allow the door to be opened or add any extra fan in the room. I am surprised nobody fainted.

Expérience négative: The underground parking area for bicycles has recently had a number of bicycles stolen as well as in the bike circles in front of the building - taking your bike to the gym is like giving away your bike; IT is NOT the responsibility of the gym or building security or building management; 2 hour car parking means you have to attend one fitness class; leave and carefully reenter the parking lot when everyone is coming and going at the peak hours such as 5pm 6pm or 7am or 8am; careful in the parking lot Terrible heating and ventilation in the newly renovated spinning studio - so hot and humid in the room that the large floor to ceiling windows are covered with so much condensation that you cannot see out - management will not allow door to be opened - it’s like spinning in a sauna - they have been aware of this problem for months and they have not fixed the problem -

Expérience négative: The manager Danilo just threathened to beat me up infront of his two staff members Omar and Yoga not to mention other patrons entering the premises. I have it on video. He took my phone and threw it away. He also said “meet me outside” and “you dont want a fight me buddy”. Not to mention he bumped his chest against mine. All i asked was for a complimentary report. I do have a video of the incident and will seek to rectify the situation. I do feel threatened and do not want to attend GoodLife knowing the Manager Danilo is going to fight or threaten me. For something that could have been resolved. Poor management handled the situation the worst possible way. I will email the Corporate head office. File an assault case with Toronto Police. No one should feel threatened or assaulted by a Manager at Goodlife. I am speaking out so it doesnt happen to anyone else. Imagine going in for a workout and the Manager of Goodlife is assaulting, threatening you to fight, swearing at you infront of other attendees not to mention telling you “You dont want to fight me buddy” or “I wish you can meet me outside”. It could have been handled a bit better. I do not want other attendees to experience what i went through today. Luckily I have two witnesses and three video recordings.
Expérience positive: The gym is great. The downside is the 2 hour limit for parking. This is the closest goodlife to me and if you even go over the validation by 5 minutes, parking is $10. I can't go to this location anymore due to the time restrictions. Since I train 6 days a week, $60/week on parking is just bad. The gym is good if you have short workouts or take transit. I need to go to a further location to get a full workout. I highly suggest increasing the validation to 2.5 or 3 hours.

Expérience positive: Friendly staff and nice place to workout. Weight section is very bright and spacious. I would suggest if they could add more lights in treadmill and stair master area. That entire area feels like working out in a cave because it is very dark and depressing. One time I saw an elderly lady almost had a fall while stepping down treadmill. Please add some more lights to make it brighter.

Expérience fantastique: They've recently reconfigured the layout of the gym, with the main weights and machines area having tons of windows with sun shining through. They've added a third bench press as well. Good place to work out; no complaints.

Expérience positive: First time at this location. My experience was good as I got all my weight exercises, cardio, stretching, and steam room done. It was under renovations when I was there. Place to seem well maintained (clean, plus machinery in order). I was here around 3-5 p.m. one thing to take in mind is that there is parking in the building. Which you would have to get a ticket for then get it validated before leaving the gym. Only good for 2 hours since you parked. The staff here is also nice and helpful. I haven’t experienced any other bad experiences as I seen in other reviews.

Expérience négative: OVERCHARGED ME HUNDREDS & REFUSED TO REFUND ME!!! I called the Goodlife Islington location to freeze my account for 5 months (Aug - Dec). The Goodlife rep told me it had been done with a small freezing fee, which I was fine with. I then went out of the country, and when I checked my bank account, I found out that GoodLife only froze it for one month, then charged me the regular fee the entire time (amounted to hundreds!!!). When I emailed them to ask, the rep told me I needed to provide them with written proof to prove that the call had happened - how is that even possible for me to have written proof of a call and why is that my responsibility?? Goodlife had told me they had frozen my account for 5 months, proceeded to charged me the full amount, then denied that I called them - and refused to refund the hundreds of dollars they overcharged me! Word of advice - don't freeze your membership, just cancel it!

Expérience négative: My dad and my brother wanted to give Goodlife a try so they decided to sign up for 1 month by paying upfront. They were given incorrect pricing by one of the staff that it was only $30 per month with 1 time enrollment fee of $50 per person. They ended up paying $90 in total for each person (inc. tax). When they wanted to sign up again for 1 year, GoodLife wanted them to pay the enrollment fee again and said the $90 was the fee for just 1 month. If they were to know the price for 1 month was this much, they would not have signed up for it in this way. No refund or credit was given to us for their own mistakes. We DO NOT RECOMMEND GoodLife to anyone due to their unprofessionalism! Updated: sent them an email based on their reply and still not heard back from them regarding the situation.

Expérience positive: I could complete most of my workout here. Would suggest if some betterments could be done to the leg press machine (little complicated & seems dangerous) and a glutes machine should be addend to the setup.
Expérience négative: This gym was well operated pre pandemic. Post pandemic, its not maintained too well. The AC is always off which makes the gym feel claustrophobic and hot. The giant fans are practically useless. Along with that, Some equipment always need maintenance.

Expérience négative: I've been a member of this gym since 2019. Many of the issues I have now were not present at that time. There always seems to be a lack of equipment to use (benches, squat racks, etc). The main issue I've had lately is that there is no AC running in the gym. The gym floor is always humid and it makes it difficult to workout.

I thought I lost my wallet over there and I called and Curtis answered the phone and I explained how I lost my wallet and told him I'm on my way there to find it. By the time I arrived there I saw Curtis going through every locker looking, and seemed like he genuinely cared of finding it, and yes I did found it at the end. There are a lot of employees who works there that I can't seem to remember their names but everytime I had an issue they go through the trouble of helping me! Amazing place and amazing people! Expérience négative: Worst experience at this location. Front desk workers at goodlife are usually a breath of fresh air but this time it was more so suffocating. Went to refer a friend for the 1 week trial my home gym offered in order for her to start a membership. It’s okay if this gym doesn’t offer that, it’s the way he spoke to us that was unsettling. There was no greeting - never even said hi, just simply rude. He then offered a one day pass reluctantly. It’s odd when you know you’re being more friendly to a customer service worker than they are to you. After checking in, a worker continued to follow us around despite the fact that we were following gym etiquette. I understand someone needs to supervise the floor, however, there was no valid reason for him to continue monitoring us in a single corner of the gym when all other members are out of his sight except for us. On our way out he said we should make sure to sign out with him as we leave, when we went, he didn’t say anything. Just kept writing stuff until I said “can we leave” which he said yes. There were no attempts to start a membership for her, 0 hospitality, not even a forced ‘have a good day’, he made it known he didn’t want to see us back. Clearly this is a gym where you’re only treated well if you’re a young fit white woman.
