Expérience négative: Recently, I've been coming to this location and noticed a few things right away. The gym often feels less organized, and almost always out of towel. I’ve seen used towels scattered around the men’s locker room and left in lockers, and weights are frequently out of place all over the gym. It would be great if there could be more attention to tidiness and organization during those hours, as it would improve the overall experience for everyone.

Expérience négative: Worst experience ever, does not even know what membership they are signing in for the customer and never been helpful and spreading false information, charging extra money allegedly and then denying the fact that they did not do so, hired inappropriate and uneducated staff, and saying you can get your accounts adjusted all over Canada but then saying we cannot do anything. Shame on them for charging extra money, LIARS and over hyped gym with always out of service sauna and baths overcharging for just giving a towel. Fit for less and planet fitness are far better than this overrated gym

Expérience négative: I’ve been a member of GoodLife for some time, but I’m very disappointed with the cleanliness at the York Mills location. The stretching area is particularly filthy, with visible dust, hair, and an overall neglected appearance. It feels toxic to work out in such an environment, especially when cleanliness should be a priority for a gym. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and improves the cleaning standards. A clean and well-maintained gym makes a huge difference for members.

Expérience fantastique: One of the best GoodLife locations I’ve found yet. Very well laid out. Even as simple as having light weights at both ends of the free weight area. Clean facility. Friendly staff. 2 hours of free parking. York mills is always a winner.

Expérience négative: The TV systems on the cardio machines today were only receiving 1 channel, the Good Life channel. They have been in a state of dis-repair for years. It's time to spend the time and money to get the system working properly and on a consistent basis!

Expérience positive: no hammer strength machine. 2Hours parking is not enough at all. People need time for a shower, changing clothing, elevator, etc. Goood life should negotiate with parking company to let them know we need 3 hours like other goodlife locations.NOT just saying it's parking company manage it!!

Expérience positive: Great gym! Very clean. Staff were very friendly. Loved the free parking on site. The gym was PACKED at around 6:30 so plan your visits wisely. Equipment was in great shape! Will be returning!

Expérience fantastique: Good gym, friendly staff, good pricing ( for monthly payment ), and good machines, they have lots of gym machines to choose from, for cardio, elliptical, treadmills, conditioning bikes, regular bikes, and lots of other cardio machines, group fitness ( yoga, stretching, and etc ), green carpet zone, where you can do stretching with trx, sled push, and etc, then for weights, there are lots of different options, for reference ( leg, arm, chest ), they have massage chairs, and saunas. For extreme weights, they have lots of benches for you to work out in.

Expérience négative: Some staff exchange my parking pass when I left and I paid for someone else’s parking. I clearly heard that the staff said I still have time on the changed ticket that she gave me so I didn’t really check. It’s either the staff is too bad at math or she’s trying to make me pay for some random people’s parking which she did not even explain why I needed to change the parking ticket in the first place. It’s not a big amount but the whole idea of this exchanging parking pass is ridiculous. I never really had any issue with this location and I’d say it’s the best in the area but this happened today was really disappointing.

Expérience négative: I've been a loyal member of GoodLife Fitness at Yonge and York Mills for over four years, and until today, I never had a major complaint. I bought my membership online and was consistently provided with a towel to use over the equipment, which is a standard practice that I appreciated. However, today's experience was nothing short of appalling. Upon arriving at the gym, the new bald guy at the front desk refused to give me a towel, insisting that my membership no longer includes this service. Despite my clear explanation that I had always received a towel with my membership and that I had never been informed of any changes, he simply ignored me and started handing towels to three people who walked in after me. When I inquired about adding the towel service to my membership, he told me it would cost an additional $10 per month. I agreed to this and asked him to add it. At this point, the membership manager approached and escalated the situation unnecessarily. I was so frustrated that I asked her to cancel my membership, which she did with a surprising eagerness. It made me wonder if she would have been so quick to lose a member if she were actually the owner of the gym. This experience has been a stark reminder of the lack of customer service and loyalty at this location. Over the years, I’ve heard various negative things about this gym, like the cleanliness of the washrooms and changerooms, inappropriate behavior by a male training manager, and staff misusing parking passes. Until today, I had managed to overlook these issues. But the unprofessionalism and poor attitude I encountered today have left me no choice but to find a new gym. Unbelievable and disappointing. I signed up at a different gym already.

Expérience fantastique: I have been going to Goodlife Fitness for about 2 years now. I was never a gym person, and it was very difficult to get into the gym routine at first. When I started exercising, I only attended cycling classes, which was great at first. At the beginning of 2024, I knew it was time for a bigger challenge, but I had no idea where to start. Until one day, I attended Kathleen F. Bodypump class at York Mills Centre. SHE IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!! The energy that she brings to our classes is unbelievable. I never liked lifting weights until I met Kathleen. There is something about her style of teaching that just clicks with you on another level. I work harder and longer during our sessions only because of her! She is a fantastic instructor and a very knowledgeable person. She is always more than happy to help and answer any questions we have. You can tell this isn't just a job for her, she instructs us from a place of passion, she loves what she does and, in return, makes us love working out! And you can sense it from the moment you walk into the room. Not only is Kathleen one of the nicest people I have ever met, she is also one of the funniest! You will find us all either laughing at her jokes or crying/gasping for air because of the intensity of her class. Nevertheless, I am always looking forward to Bodypump on Thursday's solely because of her. Kathleen, you are one in a million! You have challenged us all to become a greater version of ourselves. I am not only speaking for myself but for everyone else who has had the privilege of meeting you. Expérience négative: I recently lost my AirPods at the York Mills GoodLife Fitness and had a disappointing experience with the front desk staff. After repeatedly calling the gym, I vistited and requested that management check the security cameras to determine if my AirPods were lost or picked up by someone. Instead of addressing my request, the staff member gave me a form to fill out, asking for references as a "favor" for checking the cameras. When I mistakenly filled out the form incorrectly and asked for a new one, the staff member rudely assumed I was refusing to provide references. This unprofessional and dismissive behavior was not the response I expected.

Expérience positive: Tried this gym out for a couple days and the gym is pretty big with a decent selection of equipment. A lot of free weights but lack of machines. I was surprised to notice they seem to only have 1 of every machine and considering this gym is pretty busy most times I am constantly having to wait for machines or switch my routine. Also gyms are now evolving with new and improved equipment, I feel as that goodlife is falling behind on upgrading equipment. The gym was very clean though and good environment.

Expérience fantastique: I remember I have already made a review a few months ago about how much I was loving this GoodLife and how motivated I was. That hasn’t changed, but what happened last week was just so out of this world that I had to share it! I’m going through a very difficult personal situation right now where I had to move out immediately from my former place and basically had nowhere to go. The day I found out I was at the gym; I was crying, overwhelmed, worried… And Raul, Z, Genti, and Victor approached me to check on me, helped me calm down, and EVEN offered to help me in any way they could. They did more than anyone would have, and I’m just SO SO grateful for everything, that if I can let everyone else know the human quality of the trainers in this gym, I would love to do so. Raul and Victor dedicated a whole afternoon to help me move out and make sure I was SAFE. That was one of the most thoughtful things anyone has ever done for me. I hope they know that if they ever help with anything, they can count on me. I am eternally grateful.

Expérience positive: Complete equipment. Good classes and schedule. Although a tiny branch, they kept it clean. Every corner has the sanitizer and paper towel. Just don't go during peak hours as it could get too crowded to use the machines. Also bring a lock for your locker.

Expérience fantastique: I am an internal medicine physician and a chiropractor. I was looking for a great trainer to help me to get in a good shape. After looking hard for several months I finally found Grace. Grace is very knowledgeable about spine and muscle anatomy and physiology. She is sharp and very intelligent. She is being training me for several months now. I can feel much stronger and healthier. I truly recommend her for anyone who is looking for a very well educated and knowledgeable trainer. Expérience négative: I am deeply disappointed with the management at this Goodlife location. As a former employee, I experienced mistreatment and disrespect throughout my time there. Despite being a loyal customer for 6 years, I was unfairly treated and my membership was banned due to the insecurities of the fitness manager. This kind of behavior is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the establishment.

Expérience négative: Good life has been given me the worst experience ever in participating in a gym. The instructor who was asigno to me named Adrian Esmaeli act with me unprofessional wanted to sell me by force 8k package of personal trainer. When I reported to the manager they don’t even take any actions but they explain this as they “looked into the case” but no result because the person is there and anytime I go there he is working and stilling from client only to pay their wage. In 1 hr conversation with Adrian, he made me feel weak, with no hope losing weight and MISERABLE! Never feel like this in my entire life. No one should feel pressured or mistreated in that way, especially when trying to improve your health.

Expérience fantastique: Spinning studio just replaced all the bikes with brand new , top of the line Kaiser spin bikes. Electromagnetic finely tuned resistance, rpm, calorie, wattage, time, and gear readouts, with ability to sync with a heart monitor. Bikes are super smooth and latest design. With great live instructors, fantastic place to do a spinning class.

Expérience fantastique: I really liked this location because it has 2 hour free parking, the space was not too crowded, and the equipment didn't feel so packed together like other locations. They had 4 squat racks and plenty of barbells and weights. It's too bad I'm not in the area otherwise I'd make this my home gym. The locker areas were clean and optimized space. Definitely more affluent than other locations. The most comparable one would be Islington and Bloor which I think is equally as nice and not crowded.

Expérience positive: Overall nice gym, the closest one to my home. As mentioned by others the men's sauna is not working and occasionally I spot personal belongings, garbage and dirty towels left by others in the gym and men's changing room. Overall I'm happy, it's a decent-sized location, with plenty of parking, and operating 24/7.

Expérience positive: I am writing this review to strongly resonate with the previous remarks concerning the sauna situation in the male change room at GoodLife Fitness. The sauna has been a sanctuary for many of us post-workout, aiding in muscle relaxation and promoting overall well-being. However, the broken controls have been a persistent issue, detracting from what should be a rejuvenating experience. The ongoing neglect of this problem is surprising and not reflective of the high standards usually maintained by GoodLife Fitness. It's disheartening to see such a valuable facility rendered less useful due to a lack of timely maintenance. I concur wholeheartedly with the prior reviews and implore the management to prioritize the repair of the sauna controls. Addressing this issue promptly will not only reflect positively on GoodLife Fitness’s commitment to providing a top-notch fitness environment but also enhance the satisfaction and loyalty of its members. The gym's overall ambiance and facilities are commendable, but the unresolved sauna issues necessitate a deduction of two stars. I am optimistic that once the sauna is fixed, my rating will soar to a 5-star review.

Expérience négative: The employees and the management are very nice and friendly and helpful , very good environment, the cleanliness of the change room and toilets are poor , need more accessories for equipments like handles and more benches, YOGA CLASS IS ONLY ONCE A WEEK which i think we need more of Yoga classes specially during this difficult time we need to care more of our mental health. The massage chairs remote control covers are broken for more than 6 months and I mentioned it several times to front desk so we can not use the automated massage programs on the remote for all 3 chairs, some treadmill’s TV not working. I just mentioned these things because i love this location so looking forward for some improvements, thanks to the employees and the management team to make such a beautiful environment for us.

Expérience négative: If you're using the lockers watch out for your lock. I went to get my stuff from my locker after my workout and found my lock was cut by the staff. Apparently someone who didn't bring a lock had their stuff in the very back of my locker not in a visible spot and of course I didn't see that when I put my lock on the locker. That person couldn't access their stuff when I was working out so they just cut my lock. The staff made no attempt to look for me in the gym, and didn't replace my lock. I don't understand this because it's a small gym and it wasn't busy, the least the staff could do is try to find me in the gym. Recommend others to watch out and go to another goodlife

Expérience positive: I am thoroughly disappointed with my experience at this gym. The management of this club is subpar, to say the least. It's frustrating that equipment that is readily available at other club locations is reserved solely for Personal Training members here. This includes crucial safety bars that are essential for those with injuries. I personally suffered an injury due to the unavailability of Squat Safety Haltere, which was critically needed, having undergone multiple shoulder surgeries. Adding to the frustration is the unprofessional attitude of some PT staff. Instead of addressing concerns, they dismissively suggest going to other locations. A few of the staff are very polit and actually try to address said concerns, but even they report that the club's management have denied ordering said equipment. As a premium member, I expect access to standard equipment at any branch, without unnecessary arguments, a service that is included under the membership features. I've voiced my concerns to the club's attention, but it's evident that management is indifferent to customer satisfaction. It's disheartening that the purpose of paying a premium membership fee is undermined by such negligence. Overall, I'm incredibly disappointed with the club's management and their complete disregard for customer service. I would like to remind the management that they are not running a friendly neighborhood basement gym, and that they are managing a corporate owned business, that are expected to meet certain standards.

Expérience fantastique: A good place to workout with a variety of spaces including a turf zone, with weight sleds, four squats racks and free weights. It could use another flat bench to meet demand.

Expérience négative: The sales person was so much trying to sell the personal training package to me.. After denying multiple times, he still booked 1 free session with personal trainer. I have to call them and cancel it.. It is really rude to push customer that badly.. I suggest if you go other gym, it would be better.

Expérience fantastique: This gym has a little out of my way but I was tired of going to other goodlifes at night and having the gym in shambles... I often found myself looking for equipment I needed for up to 20 minutes and sometimes I never found what I was looking for. They have one employee named Prateek that works at night he keeps everything nice and tidy always easy to find what you're looking for. He's also very helpful and knowledgeable. When he's not working you can tell and the place is a mess. Coming from a person that doesn't have a lot of extra time on their hands it's really nice to be able to walk into a gym do my workout within an hour and not waste time looking for equipment.

Expérience fantastique: It was my first time visiting this location a few weeks ago and Prateek at the front desk was very friendly and knowledgeable. He completed a tour and took the time to answer all my questions. This location has validated parking for 2 hours for members. Overall a clean gym with a nice studio space.

Expérience fantastique: This gym is amazing. Excellent staff, clean and friendly environment. Prateek Wadhwani one of there staff person is soo helpful and friendly, gives such a positive vibes around him. I got to this location because the equipments are very good here, have all types of machine and plus point as it is 24x7 you can go to gym anytime whenever you want to go in your busy work schedule as well which gives you flexibility and no excuse to miss your workout. Best location.

Expérience fantastique: I retired a few years ago, defaulting to caring for my elderly parents. At the end of 2022, after several years of COVID and related isolation exacerbated by 24/7 eldercare , I deeply required stress relief and joined Goodlife York- Mills centre. This gym, with 2 hours paid parking, and only a 5 minute drive, has been a God-send..and immense stress relief outlet. Super friendly and helpful staff, congenial fellow members, great hours and equipment..I couldn't ask for more. My personal trainer, Aaron Sharif has been an absolute beacon! A total pleasure; a mentor & coach, who approaches his profession with a multidisciplinary passion not just for the body, but mind and spirt equally. Aaron is truly one of a kind, who has provided immeasurable assitance during my mother's decline which culminated with her death in May 2023, at 90 years of age. Not only have I surpassed my initial workout objectives through Aaron, but feel he has opened up myriad unrelated prospects through his tremendous insights and life outlook/approach. Expérience fantastique: One of the better GoodLife locations I've been to. The gym is very clean and well-equipped, the sauna and showers are nice, and they offer free parking for up to two hours. Additionally, the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Brynn, who works at the front desk, is always a pleasure. She greets everyone who walks through the door with a friendly smile and warm welcome! It's clear that she takes pride in her work and genuinely cares about the members. GoodLife is fortunate to have such excellent staff at this location. Overall, I would highly recommend this goodlife to anyone!

Expérience positive: I often go to this gym to do a proper workout because of the good range of equipment and usually there are times that I can get a good workout in. However, I don’t feel as welcomed in the gym due to the lack of customer and employee interaction. When I enter and exit the gym I often truly appreciate when I am greeted though during the past year I have been going to this location I am never greeted. It feels as though employees pick when they want to greet others which are usually members that could possibly be a member that they are training. Which I found very disappointing in their customer service is when there are multiple employees at the front desk casually speaking to eachother and as I left not a single one puts in the effort of saying goodbye or hello. This often happens and creates a very discouraging environment when people that I assume are meant to help give a very judgemental look and not one that is friendly. Often times I know the range of pt training is not easily tangible by all… even with that being said I hope employees put in the effort to treat members. Another thing Iike to mention…which I found disturbing during my time going to the gym I find that there was a couple you misused the washroom to their own pleasure and are found doing other things in the washroom which creates a very uncomfortable environment especially when in public spaces that are often used by people.

Expérience positive: I go here as my main gym. Respectful (mostly) clientele, up-to-date gym machines, not so busy outside of peak hours. Friendly and respectful staff members. Excellent group exercise instructors. Two areas for improvement: They only give you a two-hour validation, so better use your time wisely. Also maybe treat your employees better with longer validation, if not free parking. Cleanliness might be an issue at times (especially during peak hours), with towels lying around in the change room, and the restroom area being smelly and wet all over the floor and the sinks. Very small sauna room, often out of service.

Expérience négative: Good: This location is accesible. Bad: Representatives/trainners have the most unprofessional and cheapest way to treat clients. I asked how much the trainning sessions are. They made me book an appointment that lasted one hour. During this time, I was asked several personal questions that I thought were relevant. I was also measured. Everything looked kind of ok until I asked for the price again… this person took me to one of their private rooms and started explaining several plans. I apologized and said that I cannot pay for that at the moment. He left without saying anything and leaving the door open. After ten minutes I realized that he had left me there. I understand that you guys are sales people and want to make money, but there are better ways to treat clients.

Expérience négative: I had taken a premium membership and was told that I could upgrade or downgrade at anytime without any extra cost, only if I go for Premium membership. Now, on a call with a representative from the gym, I've been told that it will cost $25 one-time charge. If if this is the case then what's the fun of opting the Premium membership. A total Unethical practice being followed and making fool out of the members.

Expérience fantastique: The staff at this club is very friendly. Brynn at the front desk is a pleasure to deal with. The manager always says hello or waves when she sees me. The personal training staff seem knowledgeable and are always working hard. The trainer Genti is always quick with a smile or to say hello.
Expérience fantastique: We have been going to the York Mills and Yonge Street location of GoodLife for several years. We switched from another location primarily because of the staff working there. Everyone at the front desk is warm and welcoming, especially Brynn. We enjoy talking with her when we come to work out. Genti, who started at the front desk and is now a personal trainer, is also very pleasant and professional and we enjoy talking to him as well. Keep up the great work! It makes exercising much more fun!
