Expérience négative: Typical sleazy gym that raises hell when you try to cancel. I regret not listening to the negative reviews. They charge Equinox pricing without the customer service skills or facility to match. When I joined I specifically told Lori that the club tab should be deactivated and I prefer to authorize all charges. I had another secondary member on my card and even had the club tab deactivated on my account in the app. Their personal trainer Matthew Marchione took it amongst himself to go into my account without contacting me first and activate the tab to pay himself. When I contacted the club asking how this happened, management’s reply was that I authorized all members to use the tab in the contract. Why have permissions in the app if they mean nothing, and why not have Lori verbalize this when selling memberships and speaking about the club tab?? I could see how this would be a bigger issue for people that have multiple friends and family on their accounts. You can’t even use someone’s credit card at a store to make purchases - not sure why they think that the primary account holder shouldn’t be contacted for 4x $500+ charges. Asked for a refund on the most recent charge since I am cancelling and they refused. After spending $800+ a month at this gym I expected better service. They also have clauses with their own immoral definitions of “authorized transactions” in their contracts where their staff can go in and apply charges without contacting you first, which is essentially credit card fraud. Be prepared for copied and pasted quotes from their contract when asking who authorized them to go in and make account changes or apply random fees. Will never recommend this place to anyone. The facility is also dirty. Showers, sauna and hot tubs have hair and smell like urine. There are also kids running around everywhere: yoga lessons, playing on the equipment, in the sauna and hot tubs etc.

Expérience négative: Used to be my go to place , but no it seems not as clean as before and I basically pay $200 just to come use the sauna . Lately everytime I come the sauna is always out of order.. so yea, I'm basically paying that much to just wait and hope sauna be working because if you even want to use steam room instead there is about 15guys standing and sitting with no space .. THIS PLACE WENT DOWNHILL . Also, the showers are not the best anymore . Brutal . Wish it was that good feeling place I use to go to. Now not so much .

From the very first session Stephanie created a welcoming and supportive environment that made me feel both comfortable & challenged. Stephanie is incredibly knowledgeable, encouraging and patient. If you're considering Pilates, I wholeheartedly recommend starting with Stephanie. Its an investment in your well-being that you wont regret!

Expérience fantastique: Review for Ali J.—I have been attending his GTX sessions at least a couple times a week. I think he is an outstanding coach. He connects well with the members. He consistently brings good energy and coaches with guidance while providing feedback on how to improve your posture and maximize each work out. The music is also really good .

Expérience fantastique: Worth the investment! It's more expensive than other fitness facilities, sure, but if you go regularly and participate in the wide range of included classes it makes it worth it! They have something for everyone - all ages and fitness levels. The outdoor pool is such a nice place to be in the summer months.The indoor pool is warm and open early & late all year round Open early morning and late at night, it's a great place for pretty much anyone's working schedule. I don't have kids, but the kids club seems like an awesome bonus with parent nights out, swimming lessons ($) and summer camp ($) LifeCafe ($) the buffalo chicken wrap is sooo good Favourite trainers: Ali - Has a great sense of humour, pushes you to work harder and make your workouts more effective any chance he gets Karen - Energetic, very positive and always shows up with a smile Diane - Brings her passion to every class, motivates everyone to get active and have fun Andrea - Comes with a wealth of knowledge, brings positivity and mindfulness, and encourages growth and balance in her classes Roz - Small but mighty - I think she could kick most people's butts if she wanted haha

Expérience fantastique: I have been a member at Life Time for almost 10 years. I have always enjoyed all that Life Time offers in way of their amenities and genuineness of the people. I’ve seen many changes over the years, some for better, some not so much. As of late, there has been an increase in traffic in the club which naturally impacts usage/availability. I often hear members complain about things like towels on the floor…but I also see those same members leave their own towel on the floor. Despite this, the employees are quick to attend and pick up after everyone. The operations team is always working diligently and keeps a clean facility, and are always so friendly. I do feel like the age of the building is showing as of late, but I see work being done regularly to combat that as quickly as possible. I appreciate the openness from the leaders responsible for the facility. Costs have gone up over the years, but I get it, inflation impacts your gym membership too.

Expérience fantastique: Best gym I’ve ever been to! Staff are amazing especially the front desk staff. Always pleasant and I feel very invited everyday I get scanned in. Plenty of equipment and squat racks to choose from. Their pooldeck is huge and always spotless, the basketball court is squeaky clean whenever I go. Change rooms are spotless. Downtime on broken equipment is at a minimum. 10/10 worth the price for a membership. It’s home away from home

Expérience positive: Pool area is cold there is cold air blowing constantly not cool when you are wet. The change room area by sauna and showers is gross the brown stains and the smell is disgusting..do better management. I only stay for the pool as the times work for me or I would have canceled due to the dirtiness...it's an expensive gym they really need to do better.

Expérience négative: I give this place a 1* because they charge premium dollars and: 1. The pool / hot tub are often and more frequently out of service and closed for days / weeks at a time; 2. Their men's shower area is disgusting, it smells of sewage and urine. Even Goddlife cleans their showers every 30 minutes, I've not seen them clean shower stalls in the last 12 months when I have visited. And I'm usually in the change room area for 30 to 40 mins per visit. You'd expect one to see someone starting / finishing up or cleaning. Nope; 3. Dirty towels pile up and clean towels are sometimes not available; 4. The machines on the 2nd floor (step climbers and treadmills) are aging and some don't incline, others malfunction; Their only saving grace are some of their classes, but this place is horribly managed. The management and staff are NOT doing a good job.

Expérience négative: I’m a bit surprised with all the super positive reviews, given the price point here. I was a member years ago (pre-covid, price was $160) and again more recently (price $200). With 2 kids andded on, and one taking swimming lessons monthly, I am paying approximately $500 per month. Staff has been excellent - on all fronts. Kids club has been better than I remember it being pre-Covid. Gym can be busy, but that’s to be expected. I’ve not had to wait long for equipment when I have been there for workouts. It is evident that current club issues are not due to employee performance or service, but likely a Management issue; likely understaffed and cutting corners and trying to save money… Specifically unacceptable things (especially for the cost of membership): 1) Female change rooms: - the ladies change room needs a deep clean overall, and some general maintenance. - The steam room has a brown liquid leaking out of the door area, presumably rancid essential oil. There is a brown “puddle” just outside the door and has been like that for approximately 3 months (since I rejoined). The smell is bad, and I hold my breath when I walk around this to the showers. No one walks through it - *everyone* walks around it. - the used towel bins are often overflowing, including often times towels on the floor. Yesterday, this was the case in both the ladies and the family change rooms. There were also very few clean towels available in the ladies room at 7pm. Only towels in one set of shelves left in the entire room, but every used towel bin was overflowing. Years ago, there was always someone in the change room managing it, and it was always well maintained. LA Fitness has cleaner facilities in comparison now. 2) Female hot tub - located inside the change room. I used to love this hot tub compared to the one in the pool area. Now, water levels are a bit low, there is a brown/green scum/film on the tiles at the water level. Jets are not as strong as they were previously. It is not enjoyable to relax in the sauna here like it used to be. Often I’m too-toeing around random long hair on the stairs as well. Just a bit gross. 3) Family Change rooms - also in need to regular deep cleaning. I haven’t seen them decent in the 3 months I have been going here again. - majority of the shower rooms smell like urine. It’s bad. It needs to be cleaned more regularly as clearly people are peeing in them… I dread taking my kids in them at this point because of the smell. - toilet rooms are also gross, with dirty bathroom odours. Need more frequent disinfection and cleaning. - dirty towels are often overflowing the bins here as well, falling onto the floor. Again, staff is excellent. Never had an issue and some have mentioned their own frustrations when I have approached them about my concerns and questions. Clearly, management is not listening.

Expérience fantastique: I’ve been a regular member at Lifetime in Ajax, and overall, it’s been a fantastic experience. The facility is top-notch, and the staff are always welcoming. I want to give a special shoutout to Jayden, who consistently goes above and beyond to ensure everything runs smoothly. His dedication and professionalism truly make a difference, and it’s clear he takes pride in his work. Lifetime is lucky to have him!

Expérience fantastique: This gym is like a little getaway, absolutely love it! I especially love the GTX classes with Coach Ali and Coach Karen. They’re both so motivating and get you pumped up for the class! I’m able to increase my weights and cardio intensity, which forces me to continue pushing myself. Couldn’t recommend more!

Expérience négative: My child was viciously assaulted in their kids academy and when I reached out to Sarah the manager there was no response . I then reached out to Ryan the club manager where I was told that if the offending child assaulted my children again ( this would be the 4th time with my children specifically, however other members have also complained about the behavior of this particular child) then action would be taken to ban the child . The negligence of staff in the kids academy is risky for the small children they are too overwhelmed to keep safe. Ryan's inability to enforce a zero tolerance policy on violence in kids academy makes that space unsafe for children. A temporary suspension wasn't even considered. I would like to mention also when I was informed of the assault on my child that It was 30 minutes after it happened and I was told that it was unprovoked and my child did not inspire the attack In any way . The attack involved a bite and It was definitely a severe bite because when I finally did arrive to pick up my child the bite marks were still clearly visible. I'm not sure why I wasn't notified immediately. I reached out to Ryan via email to confirm his statement made over the phone - that this child is still welcome at the academy until another child is harmed and there was no answer . I should mention I have 4 members active on my account so I'm paying a great deal of money and I expect far better service. Update : I cancelled my children's memberships. Ryan called and assured me the child who assaulted my child would be banned Immediately. I reactivated my children's memberships . We went there today and my child was assaulted with a punch and a kick to the chest . Another child was picked up by her head and thrown to the ground and guess who was there ... The banned child ...my children's memberships have been deactivated again and I would never take them to that hell hole again .

Expérience fantastique: Matt SK has been my trainer for two months, and the experience has been fantastic. He's incredibly knowledgeable and supportive, with each session tailored to my goals. He helped me manage wrist pain that I’d had for a year, adjusting my workouts until the pain was completely gone. His focus on proper form has been key to my progress. After a year away from the gym, my stamina was low, but his personalized workouts have improved my endurance and strength. Thanks to Matt, I've made great strides, and I highly recommend him to anyone serious about their fitness goals!

Expérience positive: Friendly Staff, worth the money if you want more then gym equipment. 1 substantial downfall is the classes. Instructors will teach multiple classes a day aka they are not doing the exercise with you, a demonstration and then verbal motivating, which is how they can teach multiple classes a day. Goodlife, less classes, but the instructor is doing the exercise with you aka the true definition of a instructor

Expérience négative: I was a founding member. At one point I was lying for 7 people to attrend (for YEARS). I signed up for personal training with a certain trainer one session in she quit the whole gym. Obviously, she and the club were aware that she would not be able to do all of my sessions when I signed up. I did not want to do it with anyone else. I asked for my money back or a credit and they NEVER gave me one. Not even a credit that I could have used in the spa or anywhere else in the building. It was absolutely shocking. Given how much money I had paid over the years. Bottom line, do not sign up here. They do not value you as a customer, is it extremely crowded especially the areas where young children can go and cancel your membership will be a nightmare.

Expérience fantastique: First time to check out this gym , staff were super helpful and friendly . Met some wonderful people in yoga class, by the pool in the sauna . Really felt the community spirit here . Shout out to Matthew RMT massage magic !! Place had everything I was looking for and more and it was spotlessly clean . Many people forget that this is more than just a gym and expect everything to be tailored to their preferences, but the service provided is well worth the price. The facility offers numerous amenities for convenience and caters to all ages. I'm not sure what the comments below are referring to, but they are completely inaccurate.

Expérience fantastique: Love this gym! Has all the facilities I was looking for and more. Marvin is a fantastic personal trainer. He helped me become significantly stronger over the course of 5 weeks and hit new PRs weekly. Would definitely recommend him for personal training.

Expérience fantastique: I’ve been at the facility for almost 2.5 years , it’s been about a year since I started doing the Alpha Classes provided . At first they looked very intimidating, but Jamie and Stephanie made the experience wonderful. Recently I’ve gained the confidence to do workouts on my own. I have been doing Jamie’s glute program and have seen amazing results ! Jamie is wonderful at showing you what to do and amazing at hyping you up. Really happy with the results I am seeing

Expérience fantastique: Six months ago I had my 3rd child and as a result my core was very weak and I experienced severe diastasis recti. In my research to strengthen my core I came across Pilates. The last month I have been going to Pilates (reformers) with Stephanie Diaz and it has been a life changing experience for me! In just a month my diastasis recti improved drastically and overall I am feeling so much stronger. Stephanie is so knowledgable and has such a great personality! She makes these classes fun and engaging. She takes the time to carefully assess and correct my position/posture as well. I have learned so much about my body and I look forward to seeing how it transforms. I will be doing Pilates with her for the foreseeable future.

Expérience fantastique: I’ve been training with Stephanie Diaz and attending her group classes for months and love every minute! She’s incredibly encouraging, and is constantly motivating me to achieve my goals and feel my strongest. Steph’s a fantastic instructor; she always explains movements in detail, and pays a lot of attention to proper form for the exercises she leads. I have learned a lot from her about how the muscles and bones interact and are affected by my form when doing different exercises, and I use the skills she’s taught me when I’m exercising on my own, as well as outside of the gym in my daily life. I’m grateful to get to learn from someone so knowledgeable and attend classes that are so uplifting!

She was so patient and positive and brought out a strength in me I didn’t know I had. I’m down 2 sizes, look 15 years younger, and feel better than ever - at 57!! They have now banned kids from the hot tub regardless of what the parent or guardian would like. Now they are requiring an app for guests even if they do not have a phone or ability to download. Expérience positive: Long time member. Just attended Life Barre class with Stephanie D. the class was 45 minutes. I would have enjoyed a full 60 minute class. Stephanie was fantastic. She provided modifications and challenges. The core segment was my favourite part and I usually HATE core exercises. They were fun and challenging without hurting my back or neck. Will definitely make this a part of my regular workout schedule

All the staff from maintenance to trainers, reception, cafe, salon and pickle ball teachers work diliginantly to make sure your day is relaxing and fun, whatever you need it to be. Lovin' the sauna, hot tubs and steam rooms, need I say more! The equipment and cleanliness is the best I have seen. And, so many free classes to choose from, (nice bonus), and somehow these trainers find the time to corrent your form. Yup I cant say enough about them!!

Expérience fantastique: Lifetime is definitely expensive compared to other gyms, but if you can afford it, its a good gym. But I don't know whether worthy of a five star rating by itself. But becuase they hire people like Stephanie D., it is!! Steph is a long time ballet dancer that took her knowledge of legs and balance and applied it to her fitness training career...and that knowledge paired up with her genuine passion for strength and healing has benefited many clients. I went to her classes and hired her as a personal trainer after my acl injury and my knee surgery and she has helped me immensely!

Expérience négative: Last week, something unpleasant happened while swimming here. My youngest son was swimming alone in the lane, and a couple entered my youngest son's race track without our permission, causing him to be unable to swim. I asked the staff to help us make the couple leave, but negotiations were unsuccessful twice. I went to ask the front desk staff if we must share our lane? The front desk staff said there is no such regulation and told us that we have the right not to share our race track. Then I sent an email to their management personnel, but a week later they replied to me disappointed. Her attitude was very bad. The management told me that anyone can share my race track, but I did not see any signs or membership guidelines that have this regulation. It is obvious that the management personnel are not willing to take responsibility, I don't want to protect our legitimate rights and interests, so I don't want to stay here and waste money

Expérience positive: This gym is really nice, some things I don't like is how dirty some members can be in the showers. The workers clean regularly but other members will leave their towels and empty product's and used shavers around the showers which isn't really nice. Also if your a young female, be prepared to have falafel follow you around the gym. I usually go later in the day when its less busy, almost every time I go ill choose an area where there is no one around so I can be alone and feel safe, but always out of nowhere comes a falafel on the machine right behind me so they can watch me work out, if I move to a different place they will again follow me and go on the machine right behind me. One time I turned around to see falafel not even working out, he just went behind me so he can watch me.

The only thing I'm going to say, is check your credit card you have given them. I am trying to get a credit for 2 months now and they still haven't fix the problem. Family members say they have had similar problems. Worst case I'll change my credit card and only use that card for them!

My toddler cried had a spit up ( most kids do) no one was there to console him then on top of it i was told i cant come for 48 hours my kid was completely healthy attended school he was not sick not worth paying hundreds of dollars for horrible care and services Thier policy needs reviewing and proper triaging of health concerns this place has gone downhill for me They absolutely have no compassion or lineancy. I talked to manager Molly and management Ryan Singh they do nothing about it and due to these experiences I'm considering closing my family's membership

Expérience positive: Recently joined this gym, and it's quite nice. Love the amenities and what the gym offers (spa, café, classes, basketball court, pickleball courts, tons of workout equipment, etc.). Onboarding was a good experience. My only caveat is the amount of kids at any given time. I can totally see why parents would join as a family - it's amazing for kids! Who needs Great Wolf Lodge when you can go here every day? But for the cost you pay as an adult without kids, I wish there was an area (and change room with the hot tub, etc) available to people who don't want to be with kids. Not a hater. My kids are older - so I just prefer to sit and relax in the hot tub/steam room/etc. with no kids moving around. Takes away the relaxation part. Not sure it's a deal breaker for us, but not worth the high cost when you're not using the facility to its full advantage.

It's as If they have permanent brain damage that they can't remember or do anything correct. They have kids classes but they are usually full with long wait lists. I am writing to express my deep disappointment and frustration regarding an incident that occurred during my recent visit to the gym. I have been a loyal member for over four years, and the experience I encountered has compelled me to reconsider my association with the facility. During my visit, I brought a guest with me, as I have done on previous occasions. Unfortunately, the situation took an unpleasant turn when the manager on duty not only refused entry to my guest, citing a policy, but also handled the entire matter with a complete lack of professionalism and courtesy. I am particularly disturbed by the mismanagement of the situation, which included unnecessary insistence on adhering to a rule without considering the context or the impact on customer satisfaction. The incident was further exacerbated by the manager's discourteous demeanor, which is entirely unacceptable. As someone who values diversity and inclusivity, I am appalled by the insensitivity displayed, especially considering my religious background as a Muslim. It is disheartening to experience such behavior in a place where members should feel welcomed and respected. Regrettably, this incident has led me to cancel my membership. I believe in holding establishments to the highest standards of customer service and respect for their patrons, values that seem to have been overlooked in this instance. I urge you to investigate this matter thoroughly and take appropriate actions to ensure that such incidents do not recur. A sincere apology and a commitment to reviewing and improving staff training would be a step toward rebuilding the trust that has been eroded.

Pros: 1)Outdoor Pool available 5-6 months summer 2) Day care available, activities for children 3)Plenty of excellent fitness classes, with amazing instructors 4) spa, cafe.food/smoothie bar available. 5) massages, hair services available while your kids are in day care 6) sports: pickle ball,. basketball, etc 7) clean locker rooms, lots of towels, sauna, hot tub. Thank you Lifetime for providing top notch service ! We appreciate everything you do for us and would recommend clients, family, and friends your way. Suggestion: (My two cents) 1) 100$ per guest on the weekend per visit is quite expensive. This detracts value from the membership in a massive way. I'd suggest bringing guest passes down to 50$/guest on the weekend. Part of enjoying the membership is to be able to enjoy it with family and friends. They will spend money at the club and in that way fund their own visit as well!

Pricing is 3x what i used to pay i have a family of 6 they cant even give me a good membership for some reason system errors and issues. Worst experience definitely dont recommend staff is rude and pushy manager is not interested in helping so dont bother. Unfortunately this club needs a whole new crew from probably GM all the way to receptionist, because what GM or DM hires such managers.

Expérience fantastique: First thing's first. This place is expensive, about 4x the amount of a normal gym. Now that that's outta the way, this gym is an absolutely outstanding facility. Everything you could need or want for fitness is at this gym. It facilitates any sort of workout you could need. And afterwards, the locker rooms have all the amenities that you can leave feeling fresh. The trainers/nutritionists/massage therapists they hire are top of the line. I'm working with Cody M right now for training, and the sheer knowledge he has is helping me considerably more than any other trainer I've had in the past. All in all, if you have the money and want the best facility around, look no further.

Expérience fantastique: Looking for THE gym? You have to go to Lifetime in Ajax! It’s honestly one of the cleanest gyms I’ve been to and The staff are just so lovely!! They have had ongoing updates of equipment and amenities all over the club this past year. They have brand new saunas that the building manager put in last month- love it!! The cost can be shocking but the amenities are unbeatable.

Expérience négative: This is specific to the LifeTime Spa, lovely employee over the phone who was accommodating to my misunderstanding to bookings not showing up on the app when directly booked at the spa. She also provided ease and sounded knowledgeable of working with different skin types. However, I was extremely disappointed with the tone and customer service of management when discussing the miscommunication regarding my appointment being sick. I acknowledge that I did not check my voicemail but to charge the full fee at over $200 + for being sick is awful. It should be at maximum 50% of the service. I hope Lifetime provides future PD to staff on how to talk to customers as this is not something I’ve experienced before from other service providers. Good luck

Worst lifetime I have ever been to in terms of costumer service (facility is nice) Costumer service was brutal and when I called them regarding an issue they said they would take my number and contact me. They proceeded to then brush me off and never contact me. I am an extremely unhappy customer! I never even write bad reviews but the woman working the front desk was rude and the service was terrible, I just had to write this so y’all know.

Expérience négative: Changes in upper management and policies have turned this once enjoyable and welcoming facility into an obvious money-hungry gym. I get it, running a business needs to be profitable but not at the expense of members' satisfaction and view of the place. All costs have gone up but for how much you pay for a membership here you expect the best. I was a member from 2019-2021 and went back recently as a guest from a family member. There are no issues with front desk, facility staff, and personal trainers. They do their job well. The facilities themselves are great and lots of equipment - it's the paywalls that suck. I believe the issue is with upper management and new policies. 1. Policies such as charging extra per month to access the pickleball facility (which was once a soccer pitch people rarely used, now a pickleball court which has gained interest = they see they can profit more for it). 2. The same guest (members get 2 guest passes per month) cannot be brought in within 60 days; leading to members bringing in new guests or not using their guest passes at all due to this - some members like the option to bring in the same family member sooner than the 60 days (this policy was not always like this). It is $50 for a DAY PASS. 3. Charging extra to use the outdoor pool. 4. A decline in standard of cleanliness in the change rooms. 5. Steep increase in memberships to lessen overall member count *Not from personal experience but from other reviews* - Issues between members and management not handling appropriately (as long as members pay the big bucks they can keep offending other guests right) - Car break ins Make your own informed decisions but when you're paying this much, a Goodlife shouldn't have better overall stars than you. The vibe of the gym - members wanting to be seen in a luxury gym and want to be pampered. A handful of members are actually putting in the work. You can have a luxury gym but at least have better standards to go with it. People want their money's worth. And don't be so obvious about the bottom line.

Expérience positive: Recently joined (July 2023) as a new member and honestly the onboarding of new members could be better. As a gym that is on the pricer side, smaller gyms like Goodlife/F45 provide a better onboarding and give welcome merch as well. Lifetime does not provide nothing and you are left to figure everything out on your own such as signing up for classes, Kids Academy etc. You get 4 free swimming lessons for kids, however I had to initiate this myself. When asking questions everyone seems clueless except for Courtney, she is the guru of CORRECT answers literally. The Kids Academy is my main reason for joining this gym and the options for kids are endless. Especially the parents night out where you can drop your kids off for 3 hours and have sometime to yourself. The staff in the Kids Academy are great with children and friendly as well. So far no issues. For adults they have a variety of classes to offer. The coaches are great however, it would be nice if you are attending a class for the first time you are flagged in the system or the question is asked at the beginning of the class to be given a quick overview to ensure there is an understanding of what equipment is needed for the class/ we are setup properly for the class. Only coach Ali and Tiffany really took the time to make you feel welcome to their classes. The rest of the classes, I had to initiate this on my own as a newbie. Once, I got the hang of everything the classes are amazing.

I enjoy his classes GTX and Alpha Conditioning and I always look forward to my workouts. Ali is also my PT and he ensures that my technique is always correct to avoid any injuries. I'm grateful for challenging me, pushing me just a bit further every time and especially educating me on nutrition. His knowledge about maintaining good health and communication is really helping out a lot to stay fit. I've achieved more than I thought was possible. It's been awesome working with Ali J. Expérience fantastique: I first became a member when lifetime opened in Canada. Always loved it . Recently after being immobile for several months with an injury I was determined to get my mobility and strength back. I first went in for fascia stretching . Mathew SK was amazing. I was finally feeling less pain. He suggested some strength training and I reluctantly agreed as I was afraid to get injured. But it was the best decision . I’m gaining my strength back , walking with hardly a limp and feeling more hopeful daily . Mathew SK is patient and kind and cares about his clients. He is flexible and accommodates me according to my work schedule. I continue to do a combination of fascia and strength training. I’m not a fan of gyms Lifetime fitness is welcoming and truly the only gym I’ll ever go to.

Expérience fantastique: Customer service is not great. I tried to book a tour for my family at the Ajax location and this is the second time I call and while on the phone they ask us to book the tour online. Ps. The staff is lovely but the service is just not inviting. It seems like Lifetime is def not interested in new clients. Update - Nov 2023: It took us a few tries and we ended up getting a family membership at the Lifetime Ajax. The place is unbelievably clean and organized and the staff is beyond great. Everyone is super helpful and warm. Excellent service.

Expérience négative: What a horrible expierence at lifetime today I've been a loyal member for almost 7 years and went to the gym today with my other friend who's been a member for about 6 years and we brought 1 guest today. We both have guest passes available but were told that during summer there's a no guest policy?? Ive been extreamly busy how am i supposed to know of this rule change I've barely come the past few months to the gym and when I asked for an exception to be made I was told that its not possible unless I pay 50 bucks for my guest Outrageous and ontop of that the gym was pretty dead! How pathetic and embarassing from a customer service stand point absolutely garbage. Thanks Lori for the horrible expierence!

Expérience négative: Inmates running the asylum! If you ever have the mispleasure of working out at night, you can expect to experience the following: - car break-ins/thefts -chronic misuse of disabled parking by bonehead kids, who at the request of (weak) management, now park next to the disabled parking in the "mothers with kids" area. And when they aren't doing that park across 2-3 spots diagonally. -management tolerates these bad faith members, with particular examples being banned and readmitted to the gym over a half dozen times. I've lost my patience with this gym, and my girlfriend and I will be finding a gym farther away, with less amenities, don't care, this place, out of principle, no longer deserves our money as they've chosen to babysit a select group of bad apples that most of the rest can't stand. - they've recently chosen to enforce a stricter cutoff when the gym is closed, to get people out the door, however, have selectively enforced it, along racial lines from what I've seen. Regardless, these are gymgoers bothering nobody, and are being confronted on this issue, meanwhile the parking abusers go unpunished. -management, please contact me if you'd like to discuss l, because I'll give you an earful. And if you're someone who doesn't like what I think of your parking habits, we can go there anytime.

Expérience fantastique: My family and I are members at this location. The moment you walk in the front desk personnel/advisors warmly greet my kids, my wife and I. The facility is well organized and is clean. My sons swim coach Annika is amazing and her instruction is well delivered. Life guard Niles had assisted us on a several occasions with issues that were quickly resolved. Kids Academy staff are very warm and friendly. They are aware of my boys food allergies and take proper steps to ensure my kids safety and security is top priority. Olivia is extremely organized, attentive and professional. Expérience négative: I been a lifetime member in Mississauga for almost 10 years and have given this company quite a bit of money. I live in Mississauga but was visiting a friend in Scarborough and decided to take my kids and my friend and her child to the Ajax location for a swim, I had no idea guest are not allowed in on weekends, I came today(June 25 at around 5pm) with my 2 kids and a friend and her child which are my guest. They were not allowed in unless they paid for a day pass, the 2 ladies told me its 120$ for an adult and 80$ for a 4 year old. I pay 150$ for myself and 50$ A kid a month. Does this make any sense? That I am paying 30$ more than my child who can go for 30 days vs a day pass for 1 day. I called Mississauga lifetime to confirm and they told me a day pass is 50$. They probably just told me 120 and 80 because they didn’t want me there. The 2 lovely ladies working at the front just wanted me and my friend and the kids to leave, they were also quick to want to cancel my membership because I was unhappy. The kids were sad they couldn’t go swimming. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE LIFETIME. Btw you keep raising the price but no improvement to the gym.

Expérience négative: No doubt this is a great place to workout, swim etc. but personally I don’t like how the place hiked the membership fee so much! They have joined the long list of greedy companies trying to take advantage of inflation and hit customers with abnormal price increases. Membership went up from $120 to $199 in no time. However if you are okay with the price tag, no other places in the area can match this place.

Expérience négative: This place is increasing prices while providing less services and making things inaccessible. Basketball has been a key selling point and now theres barely any time for us members to play. the free weights section is way too small to manage the large amount of members coming here. Might be time to make the switch to Goodlife

Expérience fantastique: My experience with Jennifer Narine-Singh who is one of the trainers at Life Time Ajax, has been so therapeutic. I see her for her rehab services and have found every treatment session to be effective. She is very knowledgeable and professional and has provided me with the treatment and tools to live a more healthy and comfortable life. THANK YOU JENNIFER!

Expérience négative: This gym has gone WAY downhill this last year. I’m considering canceling my membership after almost 7 years. The gym is constantly so busy now you can’t get a workout done. Want a squat rack? Good luck. Want a bench? Wait in line. The only thing you can get is one of the treadmills since there’s an entire floor of them. Everything else is either in use or on hold for a premium class. You need 2 hrs just to get a 45 min workout done because you’re waiting on equipment constantly. They also just changed all the start times of the free classes like yoga for a totally arbitrary reason. No notice to members. No consideration as to why the classes were starting at the times they were. Now it’s hard to make it to classes after work and I’m missing a lot of them. Added to that there’s now only 15 mins between classes so you’re rushed out of the room so they can clean. So much for meeting new people and being able to talk to the instructors. The change rooms are crowded and people are always in there on FaceTime or taking Instagram selfies. You can never get a seat in the sauna or hot tub since it’s always packed. The pool is also now an extra fee which is ridiculous. On top of all that the prices went up this year by 15%. I’m now paying $160 for less services and fewer opportunities to use the equipment. As a final note - the equipment is in desperate need of repair or replacement. So many things are broken or falling apart. This used to be an excellent gym - now it’s a waste of time and money.

Hi Molly, as always, we appreciate your feedback. It is our commitment to elevate the member experience and are continuing to expand offerings to meet our current member needs. We are happy to say that in May we are expecting new equipment to either replace or add to our fitness floor. We do understand our Alpha classes take the squat bars on our Alpha floor so we are expected to add more on the second floor mid May. Our outdoor pool fee is a one time fee only that will allow you to use the pool every summer if you stay an active member through the winter. Any members that have been with us constantly active and have not cancelled since before we brought this into effect were grandfathered in so no fees were taken from them to show our appreciation to their loyalty. Expérience négative: Update, still no email replies or phone call back. Not sure if their kids academy stuff are special trained for children. Giving peanuts contained chocolate at kids academy, my 6 years old had big peanut allergic reaction and vomiting badly afterward. The manager Molly put 3 years toddlers into teen gym class, with no apology attitude. Called the center to discuss the issue, only into voicemails. No email to contact. The center is good and big, but some of the kids academy staff need be retrained or replaced.

Expérience fantastique: I have been a member of Life Time for about a year now. It started as a place where my kids could get swimming lessons. But has turned into a whole lifestyle change for our family. Where we were mostly sedentary we now workout 3 times a week while our kids enjoy the kids academy programing. No small part of our new health journey has been Jen our personal trainer. She is great! She is in the process of whipping my husband and i into shape. I wholeheartedly recommend her.
