Expérience négative: The music is good and not too loud. The place is very clean. The usual employees are nice but there's one person there who made sure I'm never going to that buzzfit again. I was asked too many questions including proving that I have the card because I usually scan my phone. After what felt like the longest unecessary chat an employee followed me into the changing room. Too bad it's the closest for me and the goers are better than the one at Acadie but that interaction was so annoying I dont think I'm ever wanna go back. I understand caring but this was doing too much. Until yesterday I had nothing bad to say about that place and even recommended it to a friend but I'm not making that mistake again. Thankfully I have the subscription where I can go to any location so I'll find another one.

Personne à l’air de savoir quelle est la bonne information à donner. Je remets certainement plus les pieds dans ce gym. Pour le prix payer, ça en vaut pas la peine

Expérience négative: Ce sont des voleurs. Je ne recommande pas d’utiliser leurs services. Dans le contrat signé, ça fait un an, ils déclarent que je dois signer un nouveau contrat après un an si je veux continuer à utiliser les installations et finalement, ils ont renouvelé mon contrat un an après sans demander mon avis. Finalement, ils m’ont chargé 90 $ pour annuler un contrat que je n’ai jamais signé.

Expérience fantastique: I’ve worked with many personal trainers in my life but I have to say Joseph really stands out as one of the best I’ve had the pleasure of working with.

Expérience négative: Jetais allé avec mon ami qui est membre mais il avait un solde à payer. Il a voulu payé le solde pour quon puisse accéder au gym afin de s'entrainer. La petite mademoiselle avec les lunettes ainsi que son employé/collegue Xavier disent que le paiement doit se faire à la succursale principale à mon ami. Nous avons donc tenté d'utiliser mes passes journaliers, ils ont refusé également ceci en disant que ces passes sont utilisables pour tous les buzzfits sauf à sa succursale. Jecris ce message en m'adressant aux proprietaires, veuillez svp mandater une formation à vos employés pour un meilleur accueuillement des clients et de renforcer le service à la clientele. L'experience etait completement déplorable, nous avions tappé la route pour 30 minutes juste pour se faire refuser sans aucun alternative malgré le bon vouloir de payer.

Expérience fantastique: This is the nicest and biggest of all the Buzz Fits..some locations are not great but this one is the best gym I've found in Montréal! Its very big, very clean, has absolutely everything. Crossfire, group classes, all the standard weight machines and cardio machines. Sauna. Showers. Tanning, Red light therapies, massage chairs / bedlowyou can bring a friend any time you want aa often aa you want, parking pass included. For suck a low fee... $31.00 a month ots a steal. It's the best value in the city. O highly recommend it. beginners to pros!

The staff also do a good job of explaining the contract to you and presenting the different options. I have recommended it to many of my friends :)

Expérience positive: I do love this gym for a number of reasons, but I have complained about the music being too loud (especially in the stretching area) multiple times, and many days of the week I come in and it’s blasting. I should not have to turn my headphones up to 80-90% volume to block out the sound, causing hearing damage. Almost every person in this gym wears headphones/ear buds anyways so I don’t understand the reason for the blasting music. Please change your policy on this.

Expérience négative: Pire buzzfit où j’ai été . Servi par un prénommé Robert il a était très irrespectueux avec zéro professionnalisme ,Je ne recommande pas du tout . Le pire il rabaissait les autre gym buzzfit et essayais de me faire transférer. Aussi le seul buzzfit qui m’arrête pour me dire c’est quoi que tu fais ici si t’es d’une autre succursale .

Expérience négative: Toujours une petite magouille dans leurs contrats, pas moyen de mettre sur pause, ils chargent parfois en double, pas moyen d'envoyer de reçu de transaction, ils chargent 2 fois si tu quitte, etcs... Le gym est quand même bien quoi que très très occupée avec des gym bro. C'est impossible de s'entraîner de 16 à 20h.

Expérience négative: Grand manque de professionnalisme de la part de l’administration, mon fils ne peut pas avoir un abonnement VIP parce qu’il est mineur, mais alors pourquoi avez vous fait des exceptions avec plusieurs jeunes de moins de 18 ans…plusieurs ont un abonnement VIP leur donnant accès à tout sauf au Bronzage? Aussi pourquoi demandez vous la présence d’un parent pour une autorisation parental? Son ami de 17 ans n’a jamais amené ses parents au gymnase mais vu qu’il a payé son mois en avance vous avez accepté que ses parents envoient seulement un courriel…vous avez des règlements au gymnase que tout le monde devrez suivre pas seulement quelques uns…vous dites que c’est le procès légal à suivre, mais les lois doivent se faire respecter par tous et non seulement par les personnes que vous désirez, on est tous égaux devant la loi

Expérience positive: Le gym est très bien particulièrement pour le prix et le fait qu'on puisse amener un invité gratuitement selon l'abonnement. L'endroit est assez propre et les machines sont généralement en bon état. D'ailleurs, il y a une grande variété de machines ce qui est très plaisant. Les employés sont sympathiques. Pour le négatif : je reprends un commentaire vu plus bas. La section des poids libres/bench est beaucoup trop petite. Elle est très souvent remplie. Alors qu'au contraire, je n'ai jamais vu la section des tapis roulants remplie... Je crois qu'il devrait y avoir un travail pour calibrer un peu à ce niveau. C'est aussi intimidant en tant que femme que d'aller dans la section des poids libres, puisqu'il y a beaucoup d'hommes et qu'il n'y a pas beaucoup d'espace. Overall, mon expérience a été très positive.

Expérience négative: J’aimais ce gym ! Bonne machines récentes, propre, staff sympa ! Le choix de répartition de l’espace n’est pas optimal. Gros déséquilibre entre des grandes zones cardio peu achalandées, et la zone des bancs/poids/cables souvent difficile d’accès tellement elle est pleine. Je ne pense pas que nous ayons besoin de 30 tapis de course. En deux ans je n’ai jamais vu cette zone pleine. Les photos jointes sont toutes prises à 19h. Le constat est vite fait. Je comprends que Buzzfit se veuille être accueillant et non effrayant pour des novices. Mais une rangée de moins de tapis/vélo ne fera peur à personne. Enlevez les SIX tapis en panne et faites de la place. J’ai deux amis qui ont quitté le gym pour cette raison. J’ai aussi fait visiter le gym à un ami qui a refusé de s’inscrire pour cette même raison. Je me suis finalement moi aussi désinscrit après deux ans. En effet au moment de renouveler mon contrat, on m’explique que mon abonnement n’existe plus. Contraint de changer vers un nouvel abonnement , je suis d’accord. J’ai en revanche été choqué qu’on me demande de payer 50$ de frais d’inscription sachant que je me suis inscrit il y a deux ans. Aucune compréhension ni flexibilité de la part de la direction. Le message envoyé est que la fidélité n’est pas valorisée. J’ai été extrêmement déçu et demandé à résilier. Vous avez envoyé un client chez Econofitness. Anyway, j’étais plus capable du Raggaeton.

Expérience négative: This gym is super clean, but there’s one hell of a problem and it’s their employees whom have an attitude problem!!! The service sucks big time, and not only the service but they charge you over the original price! If it’s not the late fees it’s the parking charges if it’s not the parking it’s something else … you don’t pay 26$ a month but probably a good 100$ or more !!!!! They are a scam and it’s truly disgusting!!!

Expérience négative: Avoid like plague This gym makes it IMPOSSIBLE to cancel a membership remotely. They won't let you go like the mafia. If I leave the country, they require a proof of travel (?) from me to cancel the membership or a letter through registered mail which I have to pay for and which takes time to fill out and arrive. And when confronted about this, they'll simply say 'it's in the contract you've signed' like they're the Apple Store. No problem guys, it's in the contract? Then people here should also know what's in the contract if you're not ashamed. No other location I've been at enforces this rule and I've never had an issue cancelling a Buzzfit contract remotely. I'm sorry you think you're executing some sort of leading-edge business practice. When they were informed I want to cancel my membership they had to audacity to add me to their promotional mailing list, too. Charlatan behavior through and through. And on the reviews, they have: They delete unfavorable Google reviews and fake many of them. WATCH OUT, THE RATING DOES NOT REPRESENT THE SERVICE. And to top it off, the location is small, cramped, poorly ventilated, and the equipment is worn out. PS, the employees at other Buzzfit locations didn't have many nice things to say about Villeray and that shows a lot about your management. It's in the contract? Then my Google review is to the public and the market will react to your 'business practices'

Expérience fantastique: Out of all the Buzzfits I've been to, this is the best one! It's 1/2 Buzzfits that actually has a sauna (it's one of the best in town) and the equipment is well-maintained and new-ish. The owner goes out of his way to run a tight ship and to make sure that the gym members are satisfied. Nothing's perfect, but I couldn't ask for anything more out of a gym considering how affordable and well-placed it is. Thanks!

Expérience négative: The worst Customer Service ever. Always stealing money on my account after 1 years I’m not with them anymore, but they keep telling me that I still have an account with them

Expérience négative: Auto renewal of a membership is illegal. A gym membership can only last 12 months by Québec laws. If they want to offer you a renewal, they need your written agreement and signature. They can't keep charging you illegally after your contract expires, despite all the senseless explanations they try to give you. I recommend filing a claim at the Office de la protection du consommateur.

Expérience négative: I tried to pause my account while I was out of the country for two months and was denied. When I returned I went into the gym to cancel my membership as I found a much cleaner and better gym in the area. While I was there to cancel I was asked to pay the current month and sign a cancellation form. I did both and thought that would be the end of it. Later I received an email saying I owed more money and that the cancellation was refused. On the cancellation form it said that my balance was paid and that my account was cancelled so I was surprised to know I owed more money. After going back and forth with the administration I decided just to pay the amount + fees they said I owe just to be rid of them forever. I try to pay that amount now after a few days and the amount has now doubled without any explanation. Very scammy and unprofessional service. The gym itself is alright but not very clean, especially in the bathrooms and everything is bright yellow. It says 24/7 gym but for the first 2 years I had a membership there this was never the case so not sure how that works now.

Expérience négative: The gym itself is fine. It’s an economical option so don’t expect specialised equipment, and of course, as with all gyms peak hours are usually very busy. That being said, even at peak times, as long as you’re willing to adapt your workout slightly, according to equipment availability, I never had a problem getting my desired work out in. Now for the negative: I will keep this as constructive and precise as possible. Cancellation and/or renewal of contract: What they do: -There is no written or email notification of the contract coming to an end. -They will continue to charge your bank after the contract has come to end. -If you try and cancel this after their ‘automatic renewal’ they will attempt to give you a fine. What the provincial law states, as per The Office de la protection du consommateur for fitness centers (slightly condensed, but full information is available on their website): -The contract can be for a maximum duration of one year. -An offer to renew the contract must be made in writing (or email), be given to you 30 to 60 days before the end of your contract; indicate the length of the renewed contract and its total cost. -In order for your contract to be renewed, you must provide your written authorization to the fitness center before the end of your membership. Their contract/terms and conditions state something slightly different to this but nonetheless it does not supersede the law. And even if you follow their T&C’s, as I actually did, for example they require notice 10days prior to cancellation (I informed them 1month prior!) I was never offered a cancellation form or anything to sign. None of the stated laws were followed, but as soon as I reached out to the management team citing them, my contract was cancelled with immediate effect, no charges and no need to appear in person to sign anything! Unfortunately the front desk staff seem completely unaware they are pushing something both illegal and immoral, and in my experience can be quite rude in pushing a policy in what they either believe or are trained to understand to be correct. So for customers (current or prospective) I hope this comment helps you be aware of your rights and avoid unnecessary charges and disputes. For management and the team, the auto renewal policy should be cancelled immediately. Notification of contract ending needs to be implemented. Basically follow the law! And then comprehensive re-training from top down. Anyway I won’t be filing a complaint with Office de la protection du consommateur only because the attempt to renew my contract and the threat of a fine was all verbal, in person. The email response doesn’t acknowledge that, only that I needed to sign to cancel, which again I was never offered (1month prior) and per law it shouldn’t be necessary. But if it had gone through I most definitely would be filing.

Expérience négative: This club is stealing money by opening a second account without account holders knowledge and refusing to close account when account holder already had another account. Manager is never in to respond to issue and all employees including service center keep referring back to the manager. To top issues off they are charging late fees on an account that was opened without knowledge. Absolutely unacceptable.

Expérience négative: I have been a member since 2021, but today I will cancel the membership because of their not transparent policies to fee charging. I paid my monthly subscription of 26 cad monthly plus annual maintenance fee of 59.99 cad for the year October 2023 to October 2024. My contract renews at every October. I had to take a break of 2 months and when I went in December to continue my workouts the reception person told the contract has to be renewed and I need to pay my annual maintenance fee again. I told, it is already taken. She told yes but the contract is renewed now in Dec as so I have to pay again. It does not make sense. When I am paying money continously why should I go for a new renewal and pay twice the annual fee. The person told it is the rule. If you got problem wrote to the info@... Really? So I am not going anymore to this place. Found better place at Gym Robillard.

I am a regular at this gym for 2 years now and actually enjoy going. When you go in the morning, Mary is there to meet you with a smile. The coach Romeo is great. He’s always ready to answer your questions. So if this review doesn’t decide this is the gym for you, well your not ready to gym!
