Expérience fantastique: I like the Goodlife gym at Enterprise. The gym is big and clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There is underground parking so no worries about snow in winter. My favorite instructor is Jimmy Chim. I like his classes especially the Combat class. His classes are always fill with fun, energy and power. He always remind us the proper movement. I have a good workout in his classes. Great instructor!

Expérience positive: Gen helped us to register in this location. She is ethical and smily. They can add more rowing machines because they're quite busy places, and they currently only have 2 rowing machines. We're a little upset because we joined this location a couple of months back, but we still have to pay the enrollment fees again (we took a couple of months' break). Clean places and nice location

Expérience fantastique: The staff at Goodlife Birchmount is very nice, especially Carmen L. who is very helpful. She goes out of her way to answer your questions and fixes any problems. I really like the RPM (Mike and Jean) classes Pump (Justine), Step (Alona) and Combat (Jimmy) too. I'm glad that there is a lot of availability and choices for classes throughout the week. Expérience fantastique: My favourite go to gym. Love coming here after work. I always see munashe when I come workout. He’s always helpful with the towels and even helps out with my workouts and gives advice on my lifts and form. If ur looking for lifting advice ask munashe, there’s a reason why he’s the biggest guy at the gym, he knows his stuff. Appreciate this guy.

Expérience fantastique: One of the better goodlife locations. Yes, it does get super busy, but thankfully it's 24/7 so it helps balance out the traffic a little. The people there are generally nice, I actually lost my phone 3 times in one night and all 3 times they have been returned to the front desk by other members. It also has a recovery room which is insanely cool. Also, shout out to Carmen who works at the front desk, she always greets people with a warm smile and asks you how your day was. Give her a raise! 2 things I would highly suggest for this location to include are deadlift jacks to help load the plates on the barbell from the floor and another leg press machine because there is only 1. Yonge and finch goodlife is a smaller gym but they have those equipment to make the workouts more enjoyable. Overall, I would give this location a 4.5-5 stars.

Expérience fantastique: Birchmount GoodLife is like my second home, couldn't imagine my life without coming here . The recovery room is a great addition. Jimmy and Justine are my favorite instructors. They are the best! Their classes are always full of energy and motivation. They also correct us when we do something wrong. The front desk Carmen and Prabhjot are also helpful. 5 stars for all of them!!

Expérience fantastique: Have been coming to this gym for two years. What keeps me coming to this particular gym are the fantastic Les Mills classes it offers. Love the variety of classes and schedules. Special shout out to Jimmy the Body Combat instructor. He shows you the proper techniques. His selection of music is on point and he takes the time to learn and change it every week so you’re never bored. His combat classes are popular and always completely booked. Need to say no more when his Saturday classes is always completely booked within the first 10 seconds.

Expérience positive: I attend this location solely for the Lesmills group exercise classes and for Jimmy's classes only as he is by far one of the best instructors out there! He cares about his students & takes his time to make sure that we are doing it correctly so that we don't waste our time and to ensure that we do not injure ourselves. He is very high energy which feeds off to the rest of us & we feel energy moving through us while doing his Combat & Pump class. Even before entering the group ex class & upon entering the gym, I am always greeted with a friendly and warm smile from Prabhjot! He always makes me feel welcomed, listens to any questions or concerns I have with care and he is just such a nice person to be able to see and interact with the moment I arrive at Goodlife. I love my chats with him! The one small complaint I have is the Recovery Room that has a couple of very good massage chairs in it. That room is always busy and it is very difficult to get access to one of those massage chairs. People don't care and will keep it on repeat even though they can see that others are waiting for the chairs. It would be cool if there can be a scanner attached to it somehow to start the machines based on your membership and can only be scanned a specific number of times within a certain time. I can't speak for any other areas in this location but I do notice that it is an extremely busy location during prime times such as after work.

Expérience fantastique: I recently had an excellent experience at GoodLife Fitness, and I feel compelled to share my positive feedback! The gym itself is clean, well-equipped, and provides a welcoming environment for members at all levels. What truly stood out to me, though, was the outstanding service I received from two customer representatives, Gem and Prabhjot. Gem was incredibly helpful right from the start, offering a warm welcome and answering all my questions about membership options and gym facilities. She made sure I understood everything and guided me through the sign-up process with ease. Her friendly attitude and knowledge made me feel confident and excited about starting my fitness journey. Prabhjot was equally impressive during follow-up visits. He was patient, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable with my gym routine and familiar with all the resources available. He always smiles and greet me when i visit gym and also answers all my concerns in detail. It’s clear that both Gem and Prabhjot genuinely care about providing excellent customer service and making each member’s experience as seamless and enjoyable as possible. Expérience négative: Disrespectful and Unprofessional Service: I am extremely disappointed with my recent interaction with this gym. As a professional athlete with years of experience, I know the importance of discipline and maintaining an active lifestyle. I already own a membership, and when I had to reschedule picking up my gym bag and key due to being home late from work the previous night, I thought the situation was reasonable. Instead, during a phone call with Gen, I was condescended to and told that I needed to come to the gym for "discipline," as if I lacked the motivation to train. Unfortunately, due to my work schedule, I couldn't commit to a specific time to come in because I'm working late shifts this week. When I explained this to Gen, she simply responded with, “our gym is open 24 hours,” making it clear that my situation wasn’t being taken seriously. It felt like my circumstances were completely dismissed, and I was treated like I was making excuses, even though I explained the reality of my work schedule. Additionally, despite telling them multiple times that I do not want or need a personal trainer, they continue to push this service on me. The lack of respect for my needs as a member, combined with the condescending attitude, has left me thoroughly disappointed. Luckily, I’ve developed thick skin and this conversation won’t affect my self-worth, but I can’t imagine how this interaction would affect someone who’s a little more shy or timid about attending the gym. It’s a shame because the gym itself has potential, but the staff’s attitude and poor customer service are a dealbreaker for me.

Expérience négative: Pretty clean and good location but way too busy for its size. Years ago when it was brand new it was fine but now it's busy all the time. Feels more like a Fit4Less. This past summer the A/C seemed to not be working properly either and since then I come to this location less and less.

Expérience négative: This is the worst Good Life location that I’ve been to. As a woman who is finding her way around the gym, it’s intimidating when there are big men hovering over you for the equipment when you just literally started on it. There is not enough equipment for everyone and line ups everywhere for it. The gym is NOT diverse and only caters to younger men. Maybe they should call it Men’s Club. I am currently at the home gym (excellent manager and atmosphere) which is a Women’s club on bullock which will be closed and converted to this awful non diverse version shortly. I would imagine all of the women would leave given the “bro” toxic atmosphere in crocs, sweatshirts staring down on you. TERRIBLE gym location - do NOT join as it’s a waste of monies.

Expérience négative: I usually go to my home club on Yonge, but this was my first time at this location, and it was a mixed experience. **The Good:** - Nice environment - Convenient underground parking - Quite clean **The Bad:** - Smaller and quite busy compared to my home club - The worst part was the staff. The staff member at the reception was very rude. I didn't know I had to push the gate to get in, so I scanned my membership card a couple of times. Instead of helping, she just shouted at me, saying I had already scanned my card five times and needed to push to get in, unlike at other locations. She could've told me politely, especially since she knew members from other locations might not be familiar with this. 2 stars because of this negative interaction.

Expérience négative: This gym is becoming a health hazard. There’s no AC at night, and it feels like working out in a sauna. Why have a sauna room when you have the gym floor. Despite numerous complaints, nothing is being done. The oppressive heat is unbearable and downright dangerous. It’s only a matter of time before someone collapses from the conditions. This situation needs immediate attention before a real tragedy occurs.

Expérience positive: I’ve been with GoodLife for over a decade and at this location over 4 years and I gotta say the truth. I miss the Covid times restrictions. The gym used to be empty and I could get my workout done. If you go past 12 PM you can’t get a proper workout done. By the time you are done from one machine you have to wait for the next one and your muscles cools down and the workout is ruined. At this rate it’s a lot more productive to workout at home with a band than waste time waiting for equipments and not gaining anything from it. More than 50% of the people don’t even share the machines and behave like total wackos when asked how many sets they have. My favourite response is “a lot” or “I just started” instead of giving me a number. The only solution to this is setting limitations of how many people can be in the gym especially at the weight lifting area. I don’t expect a solution it’s a corporation and corps maximize profit over quality of the user experience. Either you can workout pre 12 pm or post 9 pm or cancel membership and find an empty gym

Expérience positive: The environment is nice but is way too busy 90% of the time. The location at Yonge and 407 is much better overall - worth the extra 10 min drive. Also, I’m not sure the A/C has been working here for at least a week now, super hot and not comfortable. Other than that it’s pretty clean and well maintained, staff are nice.

Expérience fantastique: I didn't stop since 2022 with GoodLife Enterprise, Markham. The manager, Nathan, is always ready to help. He is always there. I went thru 3 trainers but the current, Gerold Garcia, is superb, knowledgeable, energetic, and always motivated me to push harder. I was from weak body, can't run or climb stairs, to able to lift my grandkids and play basketball with them! I can't give up!

Expérience négative: I’ve been to 6 different GoodLife gyms and this is the one where I feel the least safe working out at. There are men that come in wearing slippers and jeans to eye and watch women and the manager has to my knowledge, chooses to not acknowledge it. Their principles and values are not of the safety of their clients, instead, who pays premium. *Update: These group of men, who were taking up the equipment, blocking paths with benches, and taking their shirts off in front of the mirror verbally assaulted and harassed my partner. Extremely disappointed the staff and manager did nothing about this. These men who have no awareness of their surroundings create a negative and unsafe space for other gym members.

Expérience négative: Poorly Managed Gym I was doing workout in this gym yesterday and I noticed a guy next to me is vaping. Knowing how sensitive I am to the smoke, I notified the staff and their answer was "It is what it is" and a shrug. They told me they can't do anything about it. There are signs all over the gym saying that if we drop the weights, your membership will be suspended for a month. I think they should say the same thing for those who are smkoing/vaping in the gym. Their handing of the situation is extremely poor. I won't go to this gym.

Expérience fantastique: I’ve had Jordan as my personal trainer for just about a year now. With his help I have achieved the goals that I set at the beginning of our sessions together. I was a student athlete, once I graduated from school and COVID hit, my workout regime also took a bit of a standstill. With Jordan I was able to get back to a more consistent pattern and see the changes that I’ve wanted to see. Jordan is also very accommodating, as I have a very unpredictable schedule, and so I was able to work with him without any issues to reschedule any sessions I couldn’t make. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a personal trainer at the Markham Birchmount and Enterprise location to go with Jordan.

Expérience fantastique: Before signing up at this gym, I had a home gym setup where I regularly did strength training with barbells and a squat rack. For about two years, I learned how to train by following online videos. I knew there were issues with my form because my improvements in strength and physique plateaued, and I began to develop some pains in my body. At this gym, I signed up for 10 personal training sessions with the hope of identifying and correcting the issues with my routine and form. Now that I have completed all the sessions, I can confidently say my goals have been achieved. I was helped by Rita and Jin, who were not only professional but also very friendly and easy to work with. Both quickly identified the issues in my form and designed training routines to target those areas. Having finished the sessions, I am confident that I am set up for improvements in my future training. I am happy with my decision to train with them, and if I weren't moving, I would definitely continue working with them for more sessions.

Expérience fantastique: I've been going to this GoodLife location for almost a year now, where I've been training with a personal trainer, Jordan. The experience has been excellent. I wasn't entirely clear on my fitness goals when I first joined - I simply wanted to be more active. Jordan creates workout plans tailored for me and takes the time to explain the reasoning behind each plan. This has helped me gain a better understanding of my goals. These plans also change every couple months, ensuring that I stay motivated and maintain a balanced fitness routine. Since joining, I've seen positive results and become more motivated to stay active. Beyond the training, this gym is also well-managed, with a welcoming staff and a clean facility. It 's not too busy in the mornings before 10am, as that's when I usually go. Expérience fantastique: I started my training in Good life on January 2023. I go to gym 5 days a week and I do have a personal trainer! My personal trainer is Jin, he is a very professional trainer and helped to get use to gym! Before the trainings, I have never gone to gym and was unable to even do a bench press with 5 pounds on each side :(. We trained hard, not only he kept track of my weights and trainings, he kept track of my weight, diet and muscles and now just after 5 months I am able to do bench press with a correct form with more than 20 pounds and high reps! Expérience fantastique: I've been working out with my personal trainer Gerold for almost 10 months, and the result is impressive. Gerold is knowledgeable and patient. We usually do the measurement at the beginning of a month, and he will adjust our training program according to my goal and measurement results. He will tell me how much calories I should eat everyday and what extra exercises I can do during the days without training sessions. For me it's a very positive experience so far, and his experience and guidance is really what I needed when I started with zero experience.

Let's start with their utter disregard for customer service. It's like pulling teeth to get a simple question answered or a concern addressed. Whether it's about membership fees or equipment maintenance, don't expect a timely or helpful response from the management team. And don't even get me started on cleanliness. You'd think a gym would prioritize hygiene, but not this one. Sweat-stained equipment and unkempt facilities are the norm, thanks to the negligence of the management. It's enough to make you question the value of your membership. But perhaps the most infuriating aspect of all is the lack of accountability. Equipment breaks down and stays out of order for weeks on end, with no explanation or apology from management. It's as if they couldn't care less about the inconvenience it causes to paying members. And let's not forget the constant upselling tactics. Instead of focusing on providing a quality gym experience, the management is more interested in pushing expensive add-ons and personal training sessions. It's a shameless money grab that prioritizes profit over member satisfaction. In summary, if you're considering joining GoodLife, think twice. The management here is a disgrace, and their incompetence is reflected in every aspect of the gym experience. Save yourself the frustration and find a gym where the management actually cares about its members.

I finally try my best effort and started at 9 AM for the 9:15am on Saturday. It is understandable I can’t sign in yet because I am 15 minutes early. So I waited for 9:14, again not able. I watch the ticking of the time 9:15 then I click. Guess what ? I am in waitlist #5. That is strange. What do you think? I even called GoodLife to find out if there is some kind of early registration that I can request for members and they said no. I really wonder…

Expérience positive: Been going to this location since it opened. Large, bright, clean and well equiped. Staff is great. Members are friendly and generally courteous, but there are issues of others not sharing equipment by "owning" it for 15 to 30 minutes while others wait their turn. And some members love their cell phone so much they forget they are in a gym with others and just have to text, watch videos and share their screens while others are waiting. Much equipemnt is laid out in circuits so members can move from machine to machine after 2 or 3 sets of reps in 30 to 40 minutes. That has been the goal the last 25 years that I have been a member. :)

Abt three weeks ago I went in around 5am and I forgot my jacket there in the morning on the bench and around 8pm I realized that I forgot it there but I was too lazy to go check on it myself. Called and they found the jacket, held on it for me till the next day thank you guys!

Expérience négative: I have been working out in this gym from past 3 years i have never been this disappointed or disheartened by the behaviour of an employee the manger of the gym is also very nice i spoke to her couple of time she always listens to the problems of the customers but today i felt very demotivated towards myself an employee whose name is “PRABJHOT” Came to me while i was working out in the personal training area after taking permission from a personal trainer who was working out there that if i can workout there he said I CAN and still that guy prabjot came to me and said in a very bad way that i have to leave this personal training zone i asked him why as a couple where working out there 2 mins ago and he didn’t said anything to them and after me leaving the training area there were two boys working out there is he having some personal grudges with me I don’t even know him so why me this is the second time he behaved with me like this cause last time i told him the towels where lying here and there in the changing room from past couple of hours but I didn’t complained about it to the manager . Not only me most of the guys in the gym are having complaints about him . I feel too low now because of that guy prabjot im hoping manager will take strict action against him

Expérience négative: Personal trainer women named Matime is rude to the members. She likes to yell at members. Manager please teach your employees some basic respect. Avoid this location- not a lot of machines already so the personal trainers should be more mindful of the members area too but they come out of their PT section and leave weights on multiple machines at a time claiming to be using them when they aren’t and should be more respectful of members time.

Expérience positive: New equipment was recently added; platforms(for members!), dumbbells, cable machines. The floor plan was also adjusted to create more space. Whoever made the adjustments really knows what they are doing. What a difference. It's MUCH better now. Traffic flows better , it's not clustered anymore . Great improvements at this location. The cleaning staff does a great job. The employees are also respectful. One set back is members taking their shirts off on the main floor posing in front of their tripods , using machines shirtless. This needs to be addressed . No one wants to see this , let alone using equipment after they are using it shirtless. Please inforce a rule about this. It's disrespectful.

Expérience fantastique: I recently switched from Planet Fitness to Goodlife, and it’s been mostly positive experiences. At first I found it intimidating, but Hardik helped me get started. He was super helpful with signing me up, so much that I invited my friend to join Goodlife too! I’ve joined a Zumba class and Yoga class so far, both with very positive and fun instructors (Shirley and Elaine). Would definitely recommend trying some of the classes out. Overall, the facility is wonderful with lots of windows and natural lighting, washrooms are clean, and nice staff.

Expérience négative: Pretty sure I caught Covid from this gym. It’s not hygienic and in pretty bad shape. The equipment feels icky and there’s always a lack of paper towels. You never see anyone cleaning the gym, highly doubt they disinfect the place. For a gym that’s opened for 24 hours, they should hire more cleaning staff to take better care of the place. The washroom feels really dirty and always smell so bad. Please do better and take care of your customers!

Expérience fantastique: This place is absolutely nuts at peak times after work on weekdays. At 6pm the weight section is jam-packed and almost standing room only and I feel like I'm only slightly exaggerating. Never seen anything like it. During normal non-peak hours from say 10a to 2p it's not as bad but still a moderate crowd that leads to some traffic at the lifting stations. Locker room is alright. The style of lockers is better than what I saw at the St Catharines location, but the showers, bathroom and sauna areas were not as chic. The entire facility is clean and mostly smell-free minus the locker room, in which some parts smell slightly odorous. They have everything you need for a workout including a GHD situp/reverse extension bench, half racks, power racks, 1 smith and dumbbells that go up to 100 lbs. I noticed they have a lot of personal trainers who occupy a prime area of the weightlifting section that is railed off from the rest of the area. I'm unsure if this is open to members having a normal workout while personal training is happening. I think they should put up a sign if only trainers and clients are allowed (or not) during training sessions. If not, then even a sign that indicates the area is open to all members at all times would be helpful. I love the Life Fitness brand treadmills because the handlebar setup and the 30 degree incline make them excellent for powerwalking cardio. This location happened to have 2 of them. My normal gym has 6. I recommend getting more! I loved the fact that you can set the temperature in the sauna from 70 to 90C. I haven't been to a gym chain that operates yhe sauna like this. Wish my normal home gym would do it that way... Although, I think I could see how some gyms fear this might become a source of conflict among members. I didn't run into any issues personally as the sauna here isn't as heavily used as my home gym's. An extension of the benches could be added perhaps to the sides of the sauna to accommodate more people. It seems like a lot of space is wasted since as it is, it only seats four. I witnessed one guy standing barefoot on the tile while the sauna was at full blast and I can only guess that his feet had some nice 1st degree burns after standing there for a few minutes (he was uncomfortably shifting his feet)... My normal gym has a sauna that's slightly smaller but seats up to 6 comfortably because it has an L-shaped bench. All in all, a very functional location considering the compact amount of real estate it occupies on the upper floor of a mini-mall. You have to take an escalator, stairs or an elevator to get to it.

Expérience fantastique: I've had the pleasure of training with Jin for the past two months, My goal was to improve my strength and overall fitness, and jin has been exceptional in helping me achieve that. His deep knowledge of fitness and nutrition was evident from the very beginning. He tailored each workout to my specific goals and fitness level, constantly challenging me while ensuring proper form .He always kept me accountable and pushed me to do my best. In terms of communication, jin was excellent at listening to my concerns and providing constructive feedback. He is also flexible with scheduling sessions, making it easy to fit workouts into my busy schedule. Overall, I highly recommend Jin as a gym trainer. I would rate them 5/5 for their expertise, motivation, and dedication to helping clients reach their fitness goals.

Expérience fantastique: I had a very enjoyable session packed with helpful info and (to me) novel insights with Antony. Antony is a courteous trainer who teaches with passion and explains everything succinctly. The breadth AND depth of his knowledge in nutrition & training are impressive, most notably on protein metabolism. I think many would benefit greatly from working with him on any kind of health goal.

Expérience fantastique: Love the place at enterprise. It’s near my home. Place is spacious. Enjoy the group classes and facilities. Jordan as the personal trainer. He is very patient, efficient and professional. If anyone who wants to find a personal trainer. He is highly recommended. I tried a PTS with him for 7 sessions. The result could be seen with fat percentage down. He is in general a pleasant person to work with.

Expérience négative: Worst gym membership experience i ever got. Staff is not inviting! They don't greet members!! Dirty washrooms and smell so bad!! Towels are everywhere in changing area. not maintained in terms of cleanliness. Associates just talking to each other and doing nothing. Front desk is unattended most of the time. Online customer service people are trained to say its in your policy but they wont try to understand your situation. They don’t care as long as they have your money. Associates are incapable of explaining their policies during your sign up process. Most importantly machines are occupied all the time as they don’t have enough machines! So 1 hour gym session becomes 90 minutes!! If you looking for good gym where you get good services goodlife fitness is NOT FOR YOU.
