Bathrooms are okay, they have showers, but it can be stinky and dim lit. The lighting in the bathrooms are bad for pictures if you ever take gym photos. Good culture and people overall.

Expérience fantastique: Great gym. Very clean. Very well- equipped. Great location just a few blocks south from Royal Oak Station. Gym has deadlift pads and six squat racks. There's even a studio for aerobics. Also comes with lockers (no need to bring your own lock) and showers. Staff are very friendly. Highly recommended.

That makes me surprised is i don't know after use the gym machine we have to swap with tissue. Actually im okay with that. But the problem is.. the way you talk to customer. Have been visiting Royal Oak branch near MetroTown for well over a year. It is such a nice branch of the gym, with helpful staff and trainers (wonderful ladies and gents, always present to help with fobs, machines, etc.), the machines and free weights here always work well and are very convenient, the place is well kept and clean, lockers are nice, treadmills are nice and one meets interesting people. Expérience fantastique: Been to a few gyms before but Anytime by far had the best equipment. Metro facility has a great layout and the room you need without feeling crowded. Staff here have been extremely nice and helpful. I have been working for a few months with Training coach Von. He was able to develop a personalized plan for me which focused on technique and my wife is drooling over the improvements. Really happy to finally find a facility and coach that gives me the help I needed for results I was looking for. Five stars for sure here !

Royal oak however, has a great team of staff members. Extremely welcoming and kind I will be coming more often there and will recommend people to come join me as well

Expérience négative: Would give 0 stars if I could. The staff and owner at this location are beyond rude. They also flat-out lie and gaslight when called out for their behaviour. I love anytime fitness but save yourself the trip when it comes to this location. They go out of their way to make customers feel uncomfortable and then lie through their teeth. Entitled and unkind.

Expérience négative: Update: Thanks for responding. It’s unfortunate to see that your response was a blatant lie regarding the time we took up in the shower and the cause of the interruptions. I find it interesting that you choose to lie, as that’s not in line with appropriate customer service solutions. After reviewing all of the negative reviews you have left in the past, I see lying is the option you choose in regards to every interaction. Some advice: usually if people leave reviews it is in hopes that the service will improve. Some people even change their reviews based on the response. If you have a rule in the gym that is relevant enough to cause multiple complaints and bad reviews, all you had to do to prevent any of those reviews was put up a sign. ————— We are anytime fitness regulars and wanted to give this gym a chance. The facilities look great, but the staff member who talked to us was unwelcoming. Me and my wife of 8 years usually hit the gym once or twice a day. We frequent locations such as carvolth, Abbotsford, north van, walnut grove, Langley, surrey, cloverdale and Vancouver. We usually shower together, which as far as we know is ok for company policy, as we signed up together and asked about it then. I thought it was more decent than going into a location and taking up both of the showers at the same time as there are usually only two. Anyways, this guy who works here knocked around 3 times during the span of a half hour shower. (Which apparently he thought was too long but I don’t think it is?) Apparently someone forgot their keys and thought they were in there. We looked and said no because they were not there- thought it was fine to proceed with our routine, had a shower and then they just kept knocking again. Then when we were done the guy got very rude and in my girlfriends face about how we “took too long” and how apparently people aren’t allowed to shower together and came into the bathroom while I was still trying to finish up to look for the persons keys even though the person who lost their keys already looked. Needless to say we won’t be coming back to this location anytime soon… not a fan of feeling unwelcome or having hygiene time disrupted or feeling like we are somehow on the clock. There aren’t any signs posted anywhere about any rules regarding shower use…..

They always welcome you with a smile . The bathrooms are super clean . The equipment is always looked after and serviced . On of the best anytime fitness location.

Expérience négative: I met one of the staff here (a girl), I told her I am looking for some discount and she very politely told me that she can’t do it but the manager can, so I set up an appointment to meet him for the very next day . I travelled from East Van to meet him at the time given to me. (Because I have previously worked out in this gym and I wanted to continue my membership). But, after reaching on the given date and time, the manager refused to meet me as he didn’t want to talk discounts and he was right there in front of me. I honestly felt so bad as this is basic courtesy to meet someone if you have given time. Like, You could have said no to me on my face. Anyway, this gym is nice and so is most of the staff, but there are all kind of people I guess. Disappointed!

Started going back to the gym 2 years ago and Royal Oak Anytime Fitness have provided all the tools I have been looking, even when I want to switch up exercises I can find the right gears/machines in here to make my workout feel less repetitive. They recently got a booty builder machine and I am loving it.

Expérience négative: Warning: This gym will hold you hostage, not just as a member (insert laugh here), because I only joined for a few months and due to illness, I barely used it once a week. And since there's a clause in the contract that allows for cancellation in case of illness, I asked them to void the contract. However, after two weeks of negotiation, I finally managed to free myself from these captors with this outrageous bill.

The washrooms are fresh and well maintained and so is the equipment. Even during peak hours I never have to wait for a machine, There's plenty of cable machines and bench/squat racks. One of my favorite anytime fitness locations, top 3 in BC for sure!
