Expérience négative: Walked in for a drop-in, and they asked for my ID—cool, whatever. Then they hit me with $31 for a drop-in, the most I’ve ever seen, but fine, I was still down. Next, they made me fill out a waiver, only to keep asking me the same questions verbally to “put on file.” What’s the point of the damn waiver then? On top of that, they tried forcing me to take a picture—for a drop-in. Like, seriously? They basically made me go through a full sign-up process just to charge $31. I walked out and went to Anytime Fitness down the street—paid $20, quick, easy, no BS.

Expérience négative: HORRIBLE service is offered at this gym. I bought a membership to pay month by month and never ONCE attended the gym or stepped foot on property. A couple weeks later i emailed golds gym customer service to cancel my membership as i had lost my job and had no way to pay for it going forward. I then dropped into golds gym Langley and canceled my membership with a girl at the front desk. She said all was done and i was taken off the records. I never got anything written on paper, email.. nothing. I the received a email from golds gym CS and they said my membership was still being charged and i would have to pay $400 to cancel it. I explained again how i did not have a job and there reply was pretty much you don't have the money to bad so sad. I now almost 7? months later got a email saying my gym membership payments are now going into collections with a 25% additional charge added to it. This is disgusting behavior from such a large chain. I wont be paying it!

Expérience négative: The high pressure they apply to make you sign a contract has been the deciding factor for me to stay away from them. You drop in for one free session and then get called multiple times a week trying to pressure you into a yearly contract. The gym is nice but they are very busy and not what everyone is looking for. Waiting for machines and equipment isn't ideal when you just want to get your workout done. With so many gym options in the lower mainland that don't require a contract these guys rely on relentless pressure in hopes you make a mistake and your trapped into a year with them.

Expérience négative: Absolutely TERRIBLE customer service and gym overall. Sales rep has been texting me for the past two years to come for a trial and when I finally had the time, the front desk says sorry we don’t do trials on Holidays and charges 15.75 for a drop-in. As for the gym, there are no bands in the stretching areas, dumbbells stop at 120lbs and the bench across from the weights is wobbly and unsafe that’s aside from it not being bolted to the ground for safety. As an experienced eye I am sure that $80 monthly is 70% brand and 30% value. Such a disappointment.

Expérience fantastique: Great staff and amenities, equipment is always great. 2 levels with full machines, presses, cables, class areas and spin bikes. Downstairs full turf area, platforms. Full on Kickboxing banana bag. Infrared saunas, steam room, hot tub and 3 lane lap pool. Highly recommended

Expérience négative: Worst gym in Langley to be honest ask u to leave tell u they are getting late in they are ways to tell people things staff is so unprofessional and rude ,moreover they ask for a 5star review and when I ask manager why ur staff told me to in middle of workout they have no legitimate answer while gym supposed to close in 20 more minutes why should I give them 5 stars when u get membership everything is different but after month they don’t care u even a person of member 0 customers met service skills filthy pool all 5 stars and been asked don’t go for those reviews

Expérience négative: Visited this gym (home gym is Calgary). The girl in the front is pretty snobby, the guy is nice tho. The saunas are not great tbh compared to Calgary (they are one person saunas that you buy for your house) & the gym overall has a dirty feeling.

Expérience négative: I’ve been a member of this gym for a while now, and I feel it’s important to share my experience. First off, the cleanliness of this gym is severely lacking. The facilities are dirty, and it’s clear that proper cleaning protocols are not being followed. The showers are disgusting, and the lockers are often broken, making it difficult to secure my belongings. Another major issue is the overcrowding and lack of equipment. There are way too many people for the amount of equipment available. It’s almost impossible to get a workout in during peak hours because there simply aren’t enough machines or weights. Additionally, the equipment that is available is super old and not well-maintained. There are never enough carabiners, which is incredibly frustrating when you’re trying to complete a workout. Parking is another nightmare. In the evenings, it’s nearly impossible to find a spot, adding extra stress to my gym visits. Overall, I’m very disappointed with this gym. I expected a much higher standard of cleanliness, better-maintained equipment, and a more organized facility.

Regarding parking, we understand the frustration and have underground parking available, but space can be limited during peak hours. Expérience négative: Back in 2013 I wanted to cancel my member ship and they told me i had to drive there and cancel in-person. Then when I proceeded with the cancellation the staff member said there was a cancellation fee, and then proceeded to laugh at my reaction. Probably because she knew how dumb their policy was. Never went back to this gym.

Expérience fantastique: I have been a member of Gold’s for almost a year and it has been awesome. Before joining Gold’s I have been to many other gym facilities, however, it is not comparable to Gold’s gym at all. The equipment is far most better in quality and never felt the atmosphere was cramped. Don’t waste your time at other gyms thinking you will save some money, paying for quality matters most.

They have all the permutation and combination of machine to hit all the body parts, have a 3 lane olympic size swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, yoga room,dedicated area for calisthenics, heavy duty punching bag, protein bar and basically everything you would ask from a gym for professional bodybuilding. Plus on sign up you get a free personal training session in which you get a free body scan which tells you your skeletal,muscular,fat body weight.staff is also friendly and supportive.

Hi Drew, we had to open later than normal today due to a planned outage from BC Hydro. We have had many signs posted around the club to advise members of today's late opening. Our apologies that you missed seeing these, we did our best to ensure we had them in high traffic, visible locations.
Expérience négative: The gym overall is a 2.5 star. For me, the gym does what it is supposed to do. That being said if they raised my membership $1 I’d leave. It’s bad enough they charge a club enhancement fee which simply goes to business profit and keeps monthly fees lower. This fee clearly does not enhance the gym at all. Cleanliness: The gym is incredibly dirty. Locker rooms, gym floor and equipment are filthy. I stopped using the locker room as it’s not enjoyable at all. A couple of the washrooms have snot wiped on the walls and when I brought this to the attention of management I was told their cleaning supplies couldn’t take it off. So more and more boogers keep getting collected. They painted one washroom and they are accumulating again. I’ve been told for over 3 years now the washrooms will be renovated. Filming: If you wish to not be in the background of someone’s videos or photos this is not the gym for you. The amount of tripods and filming in this gym is ridiculous. The manager of the gym is aware of this but it never changes. Staff/personal trainers: The staff can often be unfriendly and sometimes rude. Half of the personal trainers physically appear to not workout or have ever focused on their own fitness. If you want a trainer standing beside you with crossed arms talking your ear off when you train this is the spot for you. Equipment: Lack of maintenance on a lot of the equipment. Never enough carabiners for attachments, grips worn off, cables worn out, etc. Overall the gym leave a lot to be desired.

Expérience négative: Big gym, a lot of equipment. Unfortunately the staff were very unhelpful when dropping in for the first time. Walked into the ladies area because I didn’t know where I was going. Then had to find my way to the men’s change room upstairs. $32 bucks for a drop in and no quick tour of the facility was a bit frustrating. In and out in an hour and overpaid. Won’t be back
Expérience négative: Current gym member. I have asked to leave the gym because I am uncomfortable. I have brought my concerns to staff and they don’t care about their members. The staff is aware that people take pictures in the change rooms and don’t take any action. And, have no sympathy when members want to cancel and go somewhere else because they are uncomfortable. Be prepared to pay a $299 fee for feeling uncomfortable. Golds gym is 100% not transparent

Expérience négative: I had a gym member verbally abuse me for 30 minutes while weight training because I was writing my weights and reps in my workout book. I talked to the staff and they had it on camera and admitted that the guy had been verbally abusive towards staff. They said they would look into it. The guy kept his membership and zero consequences or follow up from the gyms I forced to see him daily at my workouts. They took forever to fix broken machines. There were multiple machines that were broken for over six months. I would not recommend this gym.

I have lost 10 lbs of visceral belly fat, improved my posture to the best it has been in my life and my overall health is the best it has been in 20 years. I highly recommend Tavleen to anyone who wants results. She’s is gently persuasive and tenacious. Her impressive credentials, a masters in physical therapy, show in her knowledgeable instruction. Expérience fantastique: I recently joined Gold’s Gym Langley. Mohammad Khan is my personal trainer there; he is knowledgeable, always encouraging, and he continuously adjusts the program as per my requirements. In short, he is awesome. I am already seeing positive results but there is a long way to go :) In addition to being certified in strength training and nutrition, he also studied psychology, which puts him in a unique position to understand the client’s mental & health condition and better help them achieve their goals. The facility is also good, there are a variety of machines but the machines matter only so much. The guidance and continuous support make all the difference. So if you are planning to start your fitness journey, I would highly recommend Mohammed.

Creating an exercise program that allows each of us to reach our goals and train together would be challenging for any trainer- but Tavleen has been able to deliver this 100% of the time. You can tell that she really has our best interests at heart, and is committed to creating a safe and supportive training environment. Tavleen is an excellent teacher for anyone starting their fitness journey. Her added physiotherapy background is an asset for anyone looking to heal old injuries or correct posture or muscle imbalance. Golds does not care about its loyal members but only cares about gouging people, thought I might rejoin but the sales manager can’t even be bothered to respond to my emails. Equipment was never upkept while I was there, machines always out of order, pool and facilities filthy. Good riddance! Better options in the area. It’s a shame because the management was a lot better years ago and would care to contact their members/ potential members.

Wanted to charge me $26!! For a drop in!! Gouge much. Unbelievable. It’s no sweat off them to give a person a day at their gym. Once used you can’t use again, so it’s not like I could abuse it. I wanted to be up front and honest with them to save them the work on a sales pitch. Sad you treat people this way. Big reason I left and won’t consider coming back because of the attitude.

Expérience positive: Best gym in Langley. But the changeroom floors and counters are always wet because of the pool and lack of paper towel in the bathrooms. Getting changed to workout and you'll potentially get wet socks. :I Lean against the counter or put your phone down and it'll be wet.

Expérience négative: Overall the experience has been fine & ppl are nice, the staff are helpful when you approach them. However, the change rooms are gross, old and dirty. Always piles of hair all over the floor and the lockers look like they haven’t been cleaned in over a decade. If the gym fees are going to be this high, the entire gym should be taken care of with that money. The change rooms shouldn’t look run down and gross. The equipment is pretty much never put back after it’s used. There’s always things on the floor waiting to be tripped on. Members should be putting things back but staff should also be regularly rotating the floors to ensure things are up to par.

Expérience négative: I'll start by saying that I have been going to Golds for over a year and will continue to go, but the only reason that I am staying is simply because of location and lack of better options. I very much wish this was not the case as it could be way better than it is. The main reason for the 1 star review is the lack of cleanliness in the mens locker room. It is way past what I view to be acceptable. Garbage everywhere, including chewed gum and empty shampoo bottles. Every surface is gross and has not been maintained, especially the floors. Also, the hot tub is only open about 60% of the time, and if a machine is broken it takes about a month to be fixed. The lack of maintenance is astonishing, especially for how much it costs. If you enjoy a clean, well maintained gym, I would recommend going somewhere else. There are three lockers and sometimes people just leave there things all over the place, I only have one pic for now but many more could be taken to show the lack of care. I will finish by saying there are good things about the gym as well but its hard to enjoy because of the complaints above. Please if someone important see this review, I hope you are not offended and will understand that the customers should come first.

Its been 1 complete year where we haven't closed the hot tub beside the aforementioned day. Please note that normal wear and tear is a part of an operating facility and now we do have a full time maintenance guy on the floor to cater to the issues in a timely manner. Expérience négative: If you value your time, money and sanity, PLEASE DO NOT SIGN A MEMBERSHIP CONTRACT WITH GOLD'S GYM. It's not worth the heartache to deal with. Even when they stop providing their services you will be charged. My experience here has been abysmal. I signed up for group classes before COVID, and paid for a membership that included them. Since then, all those classes have been shut down, and I was still charged regardless. And even for the normal time at the gym there were barely any spaces that fill up much too fast. I have tried to cancel my subscription but it's been a complete and utter mess for the past SEVERAL YEARS. I tried my best to be respectful and cordial, writing emails and calling, but have been met with nothing but a brick wall and the occasional "I'll speak to my supervisor" followed by the silent treatment. And to make matters worse, I have been told I owe increasing and absurd amounts, to the point where debt collection agencies have begun to contact me. It's been extremely stressful to be flooded by them, for costs that continue to acrew at an absurd rate and cannot seem to stop. I have gotten nothing of what I rightfully paid for, was charged more anyway, and now my Credit Score is on the line. And all the while I am powerless to do ANYTHING about it because cancellation has, again, been basically out of the question even though I have tried several times to reach out. I will never ever go to this gym again!

Expérience négative: MENS CHANGE ROOM AMENITIES!!!!! Currently there is only one shower that work on hot and not cold in the men’s change room! The other shower ether have 0 water or have no water pressure on hot only cold…… The saunas do NOT work ether!!. These issues haven’t been FIXED IN MONTHS…… they just slap an under maintenance sign on it. Great gym but $80 a month for extra “perks” should be keeped up on.

Expérience négative: Before you sign up you should know that it will be impossible for you to cancel without paying massive amounts of money (despite you having moved 30+kms away or any other reasons they give you on adequate terms of cancellation.) But by far the most probable situation that will occur when you decide to leave is the following: they will open multiple accounts under your name, not disclosing this to you. Then when you do decide to cancel, they will close one account, leaving the other account open - again, without telling you about it at all. And the only way you will find out is by checking your credit report and seeing this “mysterious second account” under collections. And if that doesn’t sound bad enough, this simple mistake could be the difference between you being approved for a mortgage or not. So think about that before you sign up. I will say the facility is great. But after being apart of this Golds Gym for over 2 years, I sincerely regret joining this chain and question where my judgement and understanding was upon signing up.

Expérience négative: TOTAL SCAM. I would have given 0 star if possible. They pushed me into buying a membership and personal training packages, signing their awful contract ,and of course, they charged me a fortune. I specifically inquired about cancellation policies because I expected to move and wouldn't be able to commute to any Gold's Gym locations. They assured me I could cancel without fees if I moved, but I don’t even want to remember how much they charged me before finally canceling my membership. It was a terrible experience dealing with the gym manager of that time,Jean, and I'm traumatized from ever considering any gym contract/packages again! I still regret not disputing all the money they charged me for both the gym membership and PT sessions, even though I couldn't use any of the sessions for months after expressing my desire to cancel my membership. The only positive aspect was my personal trainer, Michelle, who I learned a lot from, and she had nothing to do with the management's actions. Overall, the worst gym facility experience.

Expérience négative: Parking’s always full, staff is either rude or too busy to even bother you’re there. They’ll promise you that the gym is due for an equipment upgrade but nothing changes. Treadmills come to a dead stop while running and the management couldn’t be bothered less. Half of them don’t even work. Gym equipment is thrown about by other members but they will only enforce re-racking rules when it suits them. Staff is not trained in customer service at all. They only service you when they need to lock you into a contract. Forget even getting so much as a greeting while entering the premises after that. Would give it a half star rating if I could. Nothing premium about this gym. Definitely not worth $60 a month. Save your $ and look elsewhere.

Expérience positive: The gym had everything I needed as far as equipment and training spaces, from the turf area with the weight sled to a room dedicated to squatting/deadlifting. Only reason I give 4 stars is it is becoming increasingly busy there. Not much you can do since they keep building apartments and condos on 200th.

Expérience négative: Please don't get a membership at this gym. The facilities are nice but they are downright criminal. After moving from langley to vancouver me and my partner canceled our gym memberships as per the contract because there was no gym close to our new apartment. 2 years later they send the "outstanding balance" to a collections agency, they never tried to contact me or my partner and agreed to let us out due to us moving like we signed in the contract, but went ahead and sent to collections behind our back. Terrible way to do business you should be downright ashamed of yourselves.

Expérience négative: The ambient music in the workout area(s) is very loud. I spoke with the club manager about this on several occasions. He said that there is a new corporate policy that says that ambient music in the club should be loud. It was so loud that I had a hard time hearing my own music from my ear buds. There is also a lot of noise from power lifters dropping their weights. Also, the clip hooks/carabiners are frequently missing from the cable machines. There were no paper towels in the men's bathroom area, and I was told that this is because of budgetary concerns.

Expérience fantastique: Facilities are clean and place is relatively well taken care of. Good culture and the place doesn’t get as rushed as more budget gyms I’ve been to in the past. I have done personal training with Vish - would recommend as you get to learn proper form, technique, have a workout plan. Plus with the personal training, there’s a seperate room dedicated for it so you don’t have to wait or worry about rush in the general gym faculties itself. The place has decent amount of parking as well including an underground. Overall would recommend this gym and it’s personal training services.

Expérience fantastique: Gold gym langley has the best trainers! Especially i learned from Albert and i could acheive my personal goal within 6 months! He taught me a lot of things and also gave me a really good program. Going to the gym was not something that i enjoyed before but now i'm really happy to workout and follow the program that Albert gave me. I see the progress and also the challenges. Albert also helped me to find and fix the mobility issues of my body that might cuase potential injury as i workout more and harder.

Expérience fantastique: The Sunday spin class is so fun and inspiring working out with an NCAA athlete. Twice the results from a rec centre atmosphere. The private infrared saunas in change rooms and wood faced lockers bring this gym above grade and membership is cheaper than Plus membership close by. Do yourself a favour and tour Langley - it's not the old Gold's! So cool!

Expérience négative: I’ve been a long time member here and I must say that in recent years the value feels like it has gone down dramatically. There’s a lot to be said about the condition of the equipment along with the new trainer only room that takes away from the regular members. However my concern has primarily been focused around the state of hygiene at this facility. The men’s changing room is constantly so dirty, the steam room and showers are covered in dirt and hairs all the time. There is even signs of black mold and drain flies in the corners of the steam room and showers. The underside of the seats have not been touched or cleaned in years. It is getting to the point of being a health concern. I have made mentions to the staff at the front which doesn’t seem to have any affect as it appears only the members are the ones hosing down the tile.

The gym fails to provide enough equipment during the busy rush from 4-7pm, resulting in long wait times. Moreover, half of the cardio equipment is consistently out of order, severely limiting workout options. The management's decision to invest in brand new equipment exclusively for personal training sessions leaves regular members feeling neglected and undervalued. The gym's yearly maintenance fee becomes pointless as equipment remains poorly maintained. Furthermore, the new equipment was placed in a room that used to be for public use, making the gym even more crowded. Overall, the decline in quality and lack of attention to member needs make Gold's Gym an increasingly frustrating choice for long-time members.

As you know, we collect a club enhancement fee from every member, which goes towards the upkeep and improvement of the entire gym. The recent conversion of the common area into a personal training area was one of the many improvements we have made to the gym in order to provide the best possible facilities and services to our members. It is important to note that all members benefit from the improvements we have made, regardless of whether they use personal training or not. The setting up of deadlift platforms and getting new Olympic bars prior to this, for example, were improvements that benefited all members, not just those who use personal training. Furthermore, we are continuously investing in the gym to make further improvements. We added a new women's steam room, which has been a great addition for all our female members. We are also going to be investing in more machines in the upcoming time and renovate the washrooms. Things are already in the pipeline. Expérience positive: Lots of equipment for both weightlifting and cardio. There is also a room specifically for barbell movements, like squats and deadlifts. There is an area for dumbbells too if you do DB only workouts. The staff is friendly too.

Expérience négative: Moved and was looking for a gym closer . Very glad I kept my other gym memberships. We got Sucked into a contract- the best way to get a decent monthly fee but now I’m committed to full fill my 2 years. Other than location, the reason we joined was because of the hot tub and pool. Hot tub has been out of order 35% of times I have been here to work out. Back hall to pool is cold and showers are awful. No hooks or benches to keep your towel or clothing off the floor and dry and it’s too wet, dirty and cold to want to use them without having your change of clothing with you During busy times no staff putting away weights, can’t find anything. We work out in the evenings and often there are 3+ staff behind the counter, they say hi- but seem more interested in talking about their dates and looking at a hotel others phones. I asked for a discount. I’m stuck in a contract and hoped it was the least they could do for me. It took 3 months and at least 6 calls and requests to have the mama heft contact me and was told no. I’m going to ask a lawyer to go over my contact and see if I can just end it I still have my member ship with Anytime Fitness and am glad. I won’t be renewing my membership when this one’s done.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by the intermittent closures earlier this year. We acknowledge that there were maintenance challenges that affected the availability of the hot tub during the months you mentioned. Firstly, one of the pipes that was essential for the functioning of the hot tub broke down unexpectedly. We ordered the new parts right away but because of the supply chain issues it took longer than expected. Further, there were chemical imbalances and a sudden visit by Fraser health led us to closing it. We have taken measures to rectify the situation and are pleased to inform you that the hot tub has been fully operational for a considerable period now, without any reported issues. Also, we drain the water every Thursday to fill it back in and that has helped us a whole lot in preventing these unforeseen occurrences. As for the club runs, we value your feedback and will definitely be talking to the staff to better utilize their time and are more attentive to the member needs. While we are unable to offer a discount on your membership, as our membership agreements and pricing structure are standardized for all members, we are committed to providing you with an improved experience moving forward. We value your loyalty and feedback, and we are dedicated to making the necessary improvements to ensure you have a positive and enjoyable time at our gym. Expérience négative: Unpleasant experience here. I saw lots of constant reviews regarding poor management & maintenance, so I wanted to check them improved before join the gym. This is very close to my house, I expected it would be better now. The staff at front desk was not welcoming and asked too much personal information for just looking around before making decision of 1 to 2 year contract. The staff asked me fill out the visiting form , which I understand, but suddenly she put the camera into my face w/o my consent. Hey, that is too much. Is your gym CIA office?

Expérience fantastique: I recently visited Gold's Gym Langley and was thoroughly impressed with the facility. The gym is incredibly clean and well-maintained, with up-to-date equipment that made my workout comfortable and safe. The staff were very knowledgeable and friendly, and I appreciated the welcoming atmosphere they created. They were also able to answer all my questions and help me with my fitness goals.

Expérience négative: Sad to see a staff members Tesla takes precedent in a handicapped spot to charge their car than someone with a handicapped sign. A friend mentioned this to staff and was told their staff has to charge their Tesla so they have to park in the handicapped stall to do so. If those are the values of the staff I certainly won't be attending their gym again.

Expérience fantastique: Great facility and even better staff. Came in with a back injury trying to find certain machines my physio recommended. No other gym had it, some didn’t even bother checking. Ashton from Langley location went above and beyond and not only helped me find the machines I was looking for, but was kind enough to show me other machines that might help as well. I went in thinking of trying a 1-day pass and walked out with having signed up. They made it easy.

Expérience négative: Good gym except there are wayyyyyyy to many people. My normal workout hours is now 3 from 1.5 due to continuously waiting for equipment. Update. They did get a new equipment. Guess what, they are only for personal training I guess I will be canceling my membership as soon as they run out
