Expérience négative: The staff are miserable they can't even to bother to talk to you when come and go. The equipment is not repaired when it breaks. Management really needs to make improvements. Customer service 101 could go along way.

Expérience positive: What you guys don't understand, even though your complaints are very much valid, is that Planet Fitness is the McDonald's of fitness facilities. Hell, I don't even consider it a real gym. There's a reason for the cheap prices. You get what you pay for. The treatment from the staff is in line with the prices of the membership. Now just imagine what those poor souls are paid. This gym is for amateurs. Use it. Bank off it. Take advantage of the massage chairs and the tanning machines. Then leave and go to an actual facility.

Expérience fantastique: I enjoy planet fitness regularly when they first open before going to work the staff are always available to help you if needed the equipment gets very well used sometimes you have to wait but at the great cost I don't mind there is other machines or weights to keep me busy

Expérience fantastique: Joey was super helpful and kind! I brought in my mom to sign up for a membership and we had some issues due to her not having her credit card. Joey helped us as best as he could and he was super kind while doing it as well! Definitely recommend speaking to him!

Expérience négative: Hmmm I usually enjoy my membership. I travel alot and PF is always apart of my routine. Today I was denied entry at this location, even though my app says active - after I left, I verified my payment (which was paid), Can't say I've expierenced this before but I won't be happy if it happens again.

Expérience négative: Has gone downhill big-time over the last year or so. Always crowded. People constantly hoarding several weights at a time, Always filled with the most obscene smell of the worst body odor... yes I know it's a gym, but for some reason this has become so bad over the last year, and putting on deodorant isn't hard. It didn't used to be like this. The staff are ok, but you can tell they're not payed enough to really care. Also when I cancelled, they made me drive to the location in Chilliwack as this was where I opened my membership, in order to perform the cancellation process. The Chilliwack location was not full and didn't stink btw.

Expérience positive: Fairly new to the gym and there’s a lot to like. The one thing that’s very frustrating is the lack of dumbbells and the fact that various people hog them dumbbells so you can’t use them, especially the key ones. I literally feel like bringing my own set for me and my family to use.

Expérience négative: DONOT SIGN UP FOR THE PF MEMBERSHIP. I was a member of this gym for past 3 months. Because of my job, I had to move to other town and so I had to cancel my membership. 1st cancellation request - I called them to ask about the process and they told me to come to the gym in person. 2nd cancellation request - I went to the gym in person and the admin at the front desk told me their system is not working and asked me to come after few days. I requested I will not be in town, they noted my phone number and assured they would cancel it. 3rd cancellation request - I called the admin to confirm if the membership was cancelled or not. Admin asked me to come in person and I explained my situation again. They contacted the manager and cancelled my membership. Today I realised they haven’t cancelled my request and as my card was registered, the charges have been auto debited from my account.

Expérience fantastique: This is my favorite gym! The associate even sang to me on my birthday, how sweet is that?! The Hydro massage machines are the best after a workout. There are always available machines to use. My one and only complaint for this gym is the people who sit on their phones in the circut. It's so frustrating when you can't use the machines and people don't follow the lights. I usually get frustrated and leave the area. Other than that, it's great. I pay for black card membership and bring a guest (my friends or husband) for FREE. Can't beat that!

Expérience positive: Now that I am a little bit older, I need to come here way too much.. I wish I could give it 5 stars... but every time I try to do the circuit, people just sit on the machines and text if it's any time after 6 pm... it makes me feel crazy, and I want to judge these people, but with the no judgment zone, I can't be a prick.

Expérience négative: Not very professional a friend of mine was basically as almost assaulted, and then myself was almost assaulted in the gym. Went up and made a complaint to the front desk The way they handled things was to cancel memberships. It’s a cheap place to go to the gym but not very professional been to many gyms and I’ve never seen one run like this I would pay the extra money and go to Club 16 or Goodlife. I think twice before going here already signed up for another gym

Expérience négative: I went in to sign up myself, my son and my daughter and was extremely disappointed to find out that 1) they dont have any family/group pricing like pretty much every other gym, and 2) more importantly, the ONLY method of payment is by bank account. I do not give out my bank account information and for any business to have direct bank withdrawals as the ONLY method of payment is ludicrous!!! I even asked to pay a full year in advance on my credit card which obviously, they would not do. Both the front desk associate and manager I spoke to seemed more intent on providing obstacles rather than solutions. Be better Planet Fitness
Hi Tom! Our memberships require a checking account to draft fees every month and a secondary form of payment, such as a debit/credit card. This just helps you avoid missing any payments and getting stuck with late fees associated with lost/stolen credit cards. You can contact your local club directly with any questions. Expérience positive: Nice place to workout, has decent machines for cardio and weight training. Staff is nice. Place is clean and well maintained. Could definitely use some free weight barbell benches as currently only smith machines are available.

Expérience négative: Disappointed with the service. The staff was also not welcoming. I have the carry a guest with you membership. For some reason main holder of the membership couldn’t come to gym. One day they allowed me to gym and the other day the staff refused to enter the gym. The lady with specs Harman was literally not understanding it.

Expérience négative: This gym has the worst customer service ever! The staff are so rude and unprofessional. The place always stinks, and half the equipment is broken. Plus, they close early three days a week and shut down randomly.They also claim you can bring a guest if you have a black card (paying more), but they always find an excuse to deny it.Worst experience ever, wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
Expérience fantastique: Excellent staff! This is literally the cleanest gym I have EVER been to (and the vibe is great)! The staff is CONSTANTLY cleaning - wiping down machines, mopping floors, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, ensuring sanitizer bottles and paper towel stations are fully stocked. I also go to PF in N Van, which is also clean, but I don't see the staff continuously cleaning like at this location. Thank-you PF staff for creating such a clean and friendly environment to work out in.

Extremely condescending towards me today. Corporate and management should take some time to properly train their employees. This gym is not worth it for the price. I wouldn't return even if they paid me to use this facility.

Expérience fantastique: I love this location however I have been in Abbotsford for 3 days and I’ve been to planet fitness everyday and I have noticed NOONE CLEANS AFTER THEY USE A MACHINE! which is absolutely disgusting. Multiple times now I have cleaned machines other ppl were using. And stared them in the eyes as I did it and they don’t seem to care. Someone even warned me today to clean the machine next to me before I use it , because the guy before me didn’t clean it when he was done. I went on a rant loud enough so the man could hear me and still he finished on the leg press and walked away. (He was not wearing head phones) I have never in my life been to a gym where ppl don’t clean off their sweat and germs. Otherwise the staff and everyone is very nice. But MAKE SURE YOU CLEAN BEFORE AND AFTER USE!

Expérience négative: Don’t have good experience. Not recommended. Not enough machine. Then some impatience lady come to front and complain about waiting too long. Complain about other people on phone meanwhile they are resting between set. It’s a chaos. I could give zero star if I could. Also thank you to the owner had replied back. As a person go gym for awhile I know if I can’t access the machine I want , I will access different one. I’m not entitled . And also I think your staff should be trained more to deal with those like to complaint all the time. It will bother other gymer because of their unreasonable complaints. Thanks

Expérience négative: Just called in to cancel my membership, for probably the 3rd time. Haven’t lived there for years. They won’t cancel your membership. I’ve written letters as requested and they still refuse to cancel. I’ve been to location and I even signed off of canceling, it’s still not canceled. Anyone else have this issue? 5 years of paying for one year on service.

Expérience négative: Absolute worst staff, I'm not the one to write bad reviews but I've absolutely had it with planet fitness. I've tried to cancel 4 different times and I had been paying for 4 years without going to the location at all. Whenever I call into the location, they don't help at all except ask me to physically cancel when I've moved to a whole other city. Even just now after the 4th time trying to cancel, the rude gentleman on the phone couldn't even direct me to right instructions. Never go here, they'll take your money and never help you cancel when you need to.

Expérience négative: I went here for a while. The gym concept is too open, you cannot work out privately without someone interrupting you or starring at you. No free weights. Staff is okay, most do not care to greet the regulars.

Expérience positive: There are plenty of cardio machines, but when it comes to strength training, they have very little equipment. Sometimes you even have to wait to get the bench empty. The staff is pretty nice and helpful. It's good for its price range.

Expérience positive: Rating it 4 stars instead of 3 because of the price. Open 5-11 on weekdays, this place is fairly limited in terms of equipment but it's more than enough for my needs. Clean bathrooms and a decent gym culture compared to many others. I like it!

Couldnt help but notice the sheer irony of writing judgement free zone all over on one hand and having a prominent lunk alarm and related labeling on the other. Rated 4 as it was always crowded which is a reflection of the competitive pricing.

The lunk alarm is meant to discourage weights purposefully being slammed or members grunting loudly to annoy others. We understand that mistakes can happen but when it becomes excessive, our goal is only to prevent that type of behavior.
Expérience négative: I was around the corner at the farmers market and my 4 year old needed to use a washroom so we walked to planet fitness and asked if he could use their washroom. They said no. I’m like, but he’s gonna poop his pants. Their like “sorry” with a smiling face. Pretty inconsiderate. Not ever paying for a membership at this business.

Expérience fantastique: Great facility for the price you pay, I feel they need more weight machines and less treadmills though as every time I go the machines are usually taken up where the treadmills are always empty. I know they are trying to do their best with the space they got but it's only a suggestion, still love this place. The staff are amazing and I enjoy the environment

Expérience négative: Been going to this gym for over 4 years with my family. Never had a bad experience until one of the staff members named Becky or Becca was so rude on multiple occasions. She has come up to me and others in the 30-min workout zone and told us to work out a certain way when nobody asked her? We all ignored her because that was so unnecessary, and it was very uncomfortable and awkward for everyone. On another day, she would not let me into the gym until I came back wearing runners. I was initially wearing buckled up sandals since it was so hot and I only wanted to do a light walk on the treadmill. I told her my feet get warm but she made it a huge issue and was very rude and extremely loud. I did tell her that I will wear runners from next time onwards, but she didn’t care. She didn’t listen to anything I said.

Expérience négative: I’ve been going here for years and about a month ago i caught a guy taking pictures of me, i told the staff and they told me they’d tell the manager and every day for weeks i asked if he’d done anything or checked the cameras and they said not yet every day. After weeks of working out beside the guy still and being so paranoid, my dad finally called and mentioned he’d involve the police. Of course after that the manager finally calls me and rambles about how much they take this situation seriously and that he wants every one to feel safe and whatever and straight up contradicts himself trying to make up reasons for why he didn’t do anything sooner. Saying things like how the footage deletes after 5 days so he didn’t see it (he would’ve if he looked when i asked) and then calls back and says he actually did look the day it happened saw where i was and the guy i was talking about and didn’t see anything, and then after that saying you can’t actually see where i was in the cameras. He also said he wishes he knew who it was and that i should definitely tell the staff next time i see him, almost every day i was there I told the staff who it was and they left notes on his and my file with his name. Also justifying him not knowing about it because the staff had written it on a paper note and of course “everybody knows those get lost immediately!” It was almost comical how bad he was at lying. So moral of the story is they do NOT care about the safety of their guests unless you get a man to speak for you and threaten them with police. If you’re a woman, i’d recommend going somewhere else. Not even the female staff helped.

Expérience négative: I was in town on business. They dont allow drop ins ($21 per day- or the month is $25), so I tried the free day pass; they frankly asked a few too many personal questions for just a one day free trial.

Expérience négative: Just wanting to check the place out. They have a 1 day free trial. After signing up online with my name, address and date of birth. I get a barcode to use when I go in. Once I go in I must show this barcode and government ID and they must take a picture for their files. I felt like I was signing a contract just for a single workout.

Expérience négative: Friend brought me in to try the place out. The pin on the hamstring curl machine let go which sent my knee, with all the weight behind it, smashing into the metal bar. Reported to staff immediately and the guy at the desk laughed and told me "it's been like that for awhile." No out of order sign or anything. It's been months since, and I still get pains and can't kneel for long because of it. Place is an unsafe joke and so is the staff. Have not been back since.

Expérience positive: Love this gym. Staff are friendly, lots of equipment. Atmosphere isn’t as intimidating as other gyms. When things break they get fixed relatively quickly. One thing I dis like is the 24hr tanning thing. Once a day makes sense but once every 24 hours is annoying. Sometimes the cleanliness of the tanning beds is lacking, especially the stand up. Like they forget to wipe the floor. Also I wish they were open later Friday-Sunday. Sucks they limit hours on weekends For $25 bucks a month you really cannot go wrong. Even cheaper if you don’t want to tan or use the massage chairs.

Expérience positive: Update: I left PF because it's way too busy at this gym, even during off hours, and people just use it to hang out and hog machines. No women's area either and the 360 area is tiny. Nowhere good to lay down mats. I like this gym! But.. It has gotten so busy the last year. Peak hours make it difficult to get your whole workout in unless you're only doing cardio. The summer promotion where they gave high school students free membership was annoying. Little groups of teens would just hang out and hog equipment. Not great for paying members. A few suggestions: - Get rid of most of the ARC trainers. Only 1-2 people use them at any given time. - Add more freeweights and cable machines. That area is cramped and super busy. Some days impossible to get in there. - Add rowing machines. - Move some of the ab machines out of the stretching area.. there's not enough room for people to lay down mats.

Expérience positive: Great gym would be five stars but they took away the pizza and bagels since covid and haven't brought them back. It was major motivation for me to come burn those extra calories off from the week but now without the pizza and bagel day.I feel a lack of motivation hope they make a change so I can change my rating .

Expérience négative: Absolutely disgusting and embarrassing how the staff treats paying customers. They act like they’re in the right and the customer is wrong, when the way they handle and approach a conflict is down right embarrassing! Even the other staff handling the matter from the chilliwack location is absolutely embarrassing! I can’t even believe people like this are the face of this company! The assistant manager should find a new career not in customer service or learn how to talk and treat people with respect! Becca from chilliwack, you didn’t even handle the situation any better! Wow! Instead of implementing all these “rules” and protocols, maybe train your staff how to approach customers with respect and be professional. Gone are the days the customer is right, these people back up their own staff members even when a situation was handled poorly. Wouldn’t recommend this gym to anyone.

Expérience positive: Not a great gym by any stretch of the imagination. I previously used two Planet Fitness locations in Philadelphia and was shocked, here, by the cavalier attitude toward disease transmission. No sanitizer a year into a global pandemic. (In Philly there has always been a sanitizer dispenser, filled, wherever you want one.) Lots of body builders here, using machines for 20, 25 minutes at a stretch. Planet Fitness was founded to cater to the average person (the lunk alarm) but not in Abbotsford. There is only one weight machine for many types of exercises and they are repaired at abysmal speed. Several, right now, have been out of operation for two weeks. Hours are not good (e.g., 9pm on Friday) It gets three stars instead of two because it's cheap, but it doesn't come close to the standard set by other Planet Fitness locations.

Expérience négative: Came into the Abbotsford location today for the first time as a guest with my friend that’s from out of town. The gym itself is a great facility but the staff could be more engaging as there was multiple staff members standing behind the desk and we didn’t even get a hello. The gym could be cleaner especially since there’s MULTIPLE staff members behind the desk talking to each other. The real kicker is when I went to use the bathroom.. the urinals were disgusting and caked in dried up urine and the sinks.. the sinks looked like they haven’t been cleaned in weeks. The sinks actually look like they have been puked in and never cleaned.. as I was washing my hands in the sink my fingers swiped the bottom of the bowl and cleared off some of the caked on dirt as you can see in the picture and I nearly puked. This is absolutely disgusting and the manager.. who I’m pretty sure was standing behind the front desk cracking jokes with staff members should really take the cleanliness of the club into consideration. I really hope this problem is resolved because as of right now I will never be stepping foot in a planet fitness in BC again.

Expérience fantastique: Honest review from someone who is not a “gym” type person and as a woman. I’ve never been the type who wants to go to the gym and would definitely prefer other forms of exercise, but at this time in my life and the proximity of where I’m located I started looking at Planet Fitness. I got the premium membership on a deal as my friend and I decided that we wanted to workout together and saw that PF had the best rate that we could find. Ever since going, I’ve felt comfortable and safe there. From customer service to even just other members, it’s been a good experience. No one bothers you and you’re free to just do your own thing. There’s tutorials posted on the sides of the machines and even videos you can watch if you scan the at code on the machine. As a woman with PCOS, slow weighted workouts are great and I love the planned 30 minute weighted machine area. In the 4 times I’ve gone and brought guests, all of them (who also were nervous about going to the gym) have loved it and are thinking about getting memberships. There are lots of discounts and benefits as a premium member and honestly the price is pretty good, especially if I get to bring a friend for free each time! Highly recommend Planet Fitness.

Expérience négative: Worst gym I've ever experienced. It seems like a huge data scam and you MUST set up payments with your bank rather than prepaying for any amount of time. Then there is no option to cancel your membership on their website. The monthly payment is cheaper than a drop in, so they actively discourage checking the place out before committing. 0/10 this place is terrible

Becca, the manager (who I've never even spoken or dealt with before) was unnecessarily rude for no apparent reason and it made for a unfriendly and negative experience for both me and my guest. I've been trying to convince my friend to come to my gym again. Also it seems Becca made the choice for us, and we'll be going to hers instead. I'm dissatisfied and disappointed.

Expérience fantastique: I love the gym starting with the colour. the only thing that i don't agree with is the membership colour. I would prefer for it to be consistent with the gym colour instead of the "black" membership. I am not political. I am a black male so the colour does not offend me what so ever. My favourite colour is purple, so why not make everything purple, even the membership. That's my thoughts on the matter. I love the gym and i always refering the gym to my coworkers, friends, and family. Great experience, once again, LOVE THE COLOUR!!! :)

Expérience négative: This used to be a good gym-then they changed their hours, and got careless! They don't even have their hours of operation on their voicemail, and I've gone multiple times, thinking they were open, when they weren't!!!! This is beyond frustrating, since all the other locations are 24/7, and this is the one that's not!!! I've been looking into other gyms just for that reason, but not many of them have tanning! I might just end up going to their other locations, because this one is more of a burden, than a convenience!!! What a disappointment! Why can't they just keep their old hours like everyone else???
