Expérience fantastique: We got bombed, cyclone bombed that is! Torino Resort & Marina came to our rescue when the road to our hotel was closed by a large tree. Staff were great. So considerate of our predicament. Shelter, the resort restaurant is excellent. Again, great staff, excellent food and atmosphere. We would come back.

Expérience négative: It was Ok had construction starting at 730 Am so that wasent great. Lots of banging all day. Thought I had a room with a bathtub but turns out no. Room was ok.

Expérience fantastique: The rooms are beautiful and have everything that you could need in a hotel room. The service here was fantastic. Check in and out was very speedy. My children made a big mess early in the evening and the staff brought a vacuum down to help me clean up which was above and beyond. It was very appreciated and we would definitely stay here again. The complimentary laundry facilities are also a great feature

Expérience fantastique: Awesome stay. I've stayed here for work a few times over the years however this time was for a quick "staycation" with my partner, with us coming from Port Alberni. I couldn't have been happier with the views, the service, the comfortable beds, the room especially for the price. What a great resort, in such a great location. The soaps/shampoo/conditioner are fabulous too! If you're interested in being close to Tofino, walkable distance to great restaurants and hikes, fun stores and great coffee shops, stay here!

Expérience fantastique: Myself and a group of gal pals went up to the floating sauna this past week. Wow what an experience! The trip up in the cozy blue liner, guide Johnny was awesome and the sauna itself…wow. Just the location alone was the best part, away from everyone and everything, free to go for a paddle, jump into the water and sweat in the sauna. It can get pretty hot if you’re on top of the wood. We brought some snacks and plenty of water. It was a magical place that I hope to return again soon! Recommend bring layers, snacks, water, and book the longest time slot available!

Expérience négative: I had been told twice, by two different reception staff, for two different issues, that they, the staff, had not heard of this problem before. It seemed to be the "go to response" to any issue. The first issue was that window had no locking mechanism and we were on the ground floor. Indeed, when maintenance came, after two tries with the front desk on my part, they had to install a window lock. Unfortunately our room had an odor that persisted. We were booked for 3 nights and after 2 nights I informed reception of the problem. It was a very rainy day so we tried to stay in the room but the smell was intolerable. First try at reception I was told by staff that they had not heard of this problem before. Cleaners would be sent for a deep clean. I said the place was clean. After nothing at all happened, I again went to reception and this time found an older, mature woman at the desk who really knew how to deal with this. She came in person, encountered the smell herself, she brought cleaning staff who smelled it too. We were moved quickly. But it took two tries before we were taken seriously. I cannot see the value in telling customers that they never heard of a problem like this before. It felt like my concerns were being dismissed each time. And both concerns, an non-lockable window and a bad odor were real and not frivolous. The new room was bigger even though it was still a king, and it had no odor. The rooms on sale are very small and one can barely turn around without bumping into one's luggage. Make sure you get a bigger room for a couple. The cleaning staff were nice and lovely to us. The problem is in reception. Maturity matters in reception staff as does good problem solving.

Expérience positive: Very nice location and staff, but why can I hear everything!! My upstairs neighbors were walking or just talking and I could hear everything, made it impossible to sleep. Drove us crazy LOL!

Expérience négative: The rooms are in two blocks down a steep incline and you may have to lug heavy suitcases up stairs. There are no escalators. The rooms can best be described as basic. Mine overlooked the exit road from the car park. The walls are paper thin and, when full, can be noisy. There are no hotel amenities except for a single washing machine and dryer. There is a coffee shop and restaurant on the harbour front near the rooms called ‘shelter’. The staff are super friendly and a helpful as they can be. Had I known what it was going to be like I would have chosen from other nearby hotels but this was booked and recommended by my travel agent. The bed was comfortable but the un-ironed fitted sheet was loose and ill fitting. The tv wouldn’t pick up a signal on my last night. The bathroom was adequate though clean as was the room. I might add that the photo showing warm glowing lights and an inviting interior are taken from the water of the shelter restaurant - not the rooms!

Expérience négative: A resort, this is not. It's barely a crappy motel. All the room doors are heavy metal doors, each with a door closer. The door SLAMMING is constant and even the cleaning staff let them SLAM shut. No sleep here. The ceiling lets ALL sound through. Not only footsteps, but conversations. No sleep here. The in-room Kurig machine is faulty, leaving floods of tepid water all over the wardrobe. The view from the room... well the TINY sliver I see from the balcony has water, The balconies have no awnings. Basically, this place is a big disappointment. Next visit to Tofino will be staying somewhere better. Maybe stay in a cardboard box. Traffic noise yes, but no SLAMMING doors and walls would be thicker than those here. BTW, no AC, again the cardboard box would be cooler.

Expérience fantastique: The coolest remote floating sauna experience!! They provide the boat transfer over to the floating sauna. My husband and I got to enjoy the peace and tranquility all to ourselves. The sauna itself is very nice and has the most stunning window view. The rope swing, paddle boards and kayaks were also a fun bonus! We paddle boarded around the area and had a baby otter swimming around us. I loved the hammock like chairs in the front and the cozy robes! We loved this experience so much, we’ve already booked it again for next month! I’d definitely recommend booking this experience as a couple or even group of friends!

Expérience positive: Beautiful location and we got a corner room with a spectacular view. Staff very friendly and we enjoyed our stay. We had a room with a sofa bed which was its own room so worked out great for 2 of us. Only thing was the sofa bed was very uncomfortable. We asked for a topper on it and was only a mattress cover. So that did nothing to improve. Recommend you don’t sleep on it. Other than that was great stay. Close to Main Street.

Expérience négative: My daughter lives in Victoria BC and booked us in for two nights, we are from Ontario and were so excited to visit Tofino. The view from our room on the third floor was amazing, however if you have any physical challenges there is no elevator and there are a lot of stairs. I gave the rooms a two star rating, the complimentary coffee machine was broken, I'm glad that they had a coffee machine in the lobby, they did bring us another coffee machine a little later on in the morning. As for the cleanliness of the room, I must say that I was not impressed at all, the room had not been dusted in quite some time, all the bathroom shelves under the sink were covered in dust, the same with the top of the bed frame and the top of the TV, the night stands and the lamps were also dusty, the worst part of the cleanliness was when you looked up at the ceiling fan in the washroom, OMG. I would never book at this resort again.

Expérience positive: This is a 3 star located in the heart of Tofino on the marina. Rooms are clean. I thought the price was too high at $415 per night as there is no air conditioning, king sized pillows would be nice on a king size bed! It was Loud when luggage was being pulled on the floor above. Location was nice.

Expérience fantastique: Travelling with our dog we appreciated having separate entrances and ground floor suites. The room was super clean and the staff were super friendly. We chose a room with no view but the entire resort is waterfront so there are views all around you. The restaurant on site is great too. Would definitely stay again.

Expérience fantastique: We did the remote kajaking tour and it was amazing. Our guide was very well informed about all the wildlife. It was super exciting and we saw plenty of wildlife. Starfish, harbour seals, and even a black bear with cub. Would definetly reccomend it - even without all the animal sightings.

Expérience négative: I was in room 110 which has no view, facing a back alley, and no privacy unless you pull down the blind, blacking out all light. It felt like a (close to) $500/night Motel 6 with better furniture. Very disappointed.

Expérience positive: Calling this a “resort” is a stretch in my opinion. No real ammenities other than the Adventure Centre where of course everything is an additional, expensive charge. (Our tour guide Dave did actually make the cost worthwhile, and provided a great experience) The rooms are average, and do not contain anything more than the average chain hotel. Some details were overlooked, such as near empty tissue boxes/soap/lotion bottles, and outlets that don’t work. Other than the location, I’m not sure what we actually paid so much for. I probably wouldn’t recommend or stay here again.

Expérience fantastique: Our third floor suite was perfect. Very large space and a fantastic view of the harbour. Just an easy 5 to 10 minute walk into town. Be sure to check out their on site restaurant called Shelter. Great location.

Expérience fantastique: We loved everything about our stay. The room was beautiful and comfortable with a perfect balcony overlooking the Harbour for morning coffee and late afternoon drinks. The location was terrific - walkable to town and loads of restos. We took advantage of the adventure tours (Meares Island and kayaking), had an amazing dinner at Shelter where we had front row view of a sea lion having his dinner. Not to be missed!

Expérience négative: This is a review for the adventure center. We booked an excursion for the Sauna experience. Unfortunately, for unforeseen reasons, we had to cancel our booking. We called 54 hours in advance to cancel & were told that we had to give a weeks notice & that we could not be refunded our $1,700.00. We asked to speak to a manager and we’re told that the manager would call us back. Well, the manager didn’t call that day, so I went into the marina the next day & spoke with Bridget who’s the manager. She also said we couldn’t get our full refund back, However, she gave us half. So we are still out $850 for an excursion we were not able to go on. Which is a lot of money for absolutely nothing. Here’s my issue…We didn’t even book the adventure a week in advance & we’re not made aware of this cancellation policy. It is not stated anywhere on the website, nor in the pamphlet. We should have been told over the phone when we booked it that we would not have been able to get our money back, but we were not. The ONLY place it is stated is on the email they send you confirming the reservation AFTER they have already taken your money. Absolutely unacceptable. Please be aware before you book any excursions with this company as they are not upfront about their cancellation policies. We come here every summer & will never be using them again. Extremely disappointed & feel taken advantage of. I NEVER leave bad reviews, however, this really left a bad taste in my mouth.

Expérience fantastique: A seperate resprt that we were staying at arranged for us to do a tour of the Hot Springs through Tofino Resort and Marina. What an amazing experience. Our tour operator and captain, Dave, was the difference. What a phenomenal guy. Incredibly knowledgeable about the entire area, and was able to take us to many incredible spots during the boat ride. Had a chance to spot otters, eagles and even grey whales. Doing the tour in the open zodiac craft was incredible! Highly recommened!

Expérience fantastique: I cannot say enough great things about our stay at this resort. From the booking process with Mason, to Ronald taking care of us with checking-in and throughout the duration of our stay, to all the lovely people at the Adventure centre who gave us the experience of a life time with the whale watching tour. Everyone is so genuinely friendly and kind, and we are so grateful for a relaxing stay in a pet friendly hotel in such a peaceful and accessible location, with everything within walking distance. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and prioritize a beautiful view looking out over the marina.

Expérience fantastique: Beautiful location with easy access and great restaurant! Staff are wonderful with plentiful tasty coffee available. The only minor concern would be the pillows could offer some range of firmness as they were all fairly firm. On a side note real creamers would have made their selection of local coffee even tastier!

Expérience fantastique: The most helpful and friendly hotel staff you can ask for (especially the guy who checked us in on the 19th at ~7 pm.) Their passion for their work and the city left a great impression on our first time visiting Tofino. The room is on the smaller but enough for people. There’s a coffee machine available near the reception and the coffee option provided was good.

Expérience positive: We've stayed here three times and each stay has been just fine. The location is really what you pay for, and it's great to be able to walk into town for food and activities. The view of the water is beautiful. I agree with others that this isn't a resort as it's not self contained. There is no pool or hot tub. Onsite activities are all at an additional cost. The onsite restaurant (not owned by the hotel) is delicious though reservations are recommended and you'll have to go elsewhere for breakfast. The standard rooms we've stayed in were clean, though guests should expect noise both through the walls and from the parking/restaurant area on weekend nights. We loved the complimentary dog bowls and bed on our first two stays, though we didn't get this on our more recent stay despite requesting. The fans in the bathrooms run on a very short motion sensor timer, which definitely needs to be fixed as the rooms felt and smelled damp. I'd also like to have a microwave in addition to the coffee maker and kettle (which we had to plug into the bathroom for lack of outlets in the main room). The front desk was tough to get ahold of on our last stay, and the person we spoke with wasn't able to answer my questions clearly. Overall, it's an average hotel in a great location.

Expérience fantastique: We have been coming to this location for many years and since the renovation this property has truly become a resort. The downtown location is perfect for getting out and exploring this magical place called Tofino. Walking distance to local shops and restaurants and short drive to one of many beaches in the area. The waterfront location is perfect for viewing nature at it finest.

Expérience négative: I stayed 10 nights at this "Resort" in April 2024. Following my stay I was asked to give feedback. Here is what I wrote them: "Room service was terrible. Everytime my bed was made, it was so poorly done it looked like a kid did it. When they moved the furniture (ie: night stands) to make the bed, they did not put the furniture back. They just left it pulled out of place. I'm not convinced they ever changed my sheets in the 10 days I was there. The garbage was missed and not taken out on several occasions. The towels they replaced were left on the sink and not back in the towel rack The carpet was never vacuumed, or if it was, it was so poorly done that you couldn't even tell I left used mugs and cups out to be replaced 3 times and they were never replaced. I had to finally come up to guest services desk and ask for new ones. They never once wiped down the counter / desk area. The inside of the fridge had sticky stuff inside of it, most likely spilled stuff from the last guest that was never cleaned. The list goes on. For the 10 days I stayed, I was extremely dissapointed." Following my feedback they said they'd have a manager reach out to me. It's been over a week and I haven't heard from anyone.

Expérience fantastique: This place is a great find, just an 8-minute walk into town. The staff were friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. We stayed in a room on the 300 level, which had a fairly large balcony equipped with 2 lawn chairs, offering a beautiful view of the mountains and water. The room itself was very clean and well-maintained, with heating and a Dyson fan provided for comfort. The bathroom was spacious, featuring a standing shower. However, one minor downside was that the bedsheet felt synthetic, which wasn't as comfortable for me. Overall, though, it was a pleasant stay and I would recommend this place for its location and friendly staff.

Expérience positive: My partner and I stayed at a hotel in Tofino, attracted by its excellent location, reasonable pricing, and the charming view of the bay from our room. The front desk staff were friendly and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. However, our stay was overshadowed by a few significant issues. The room cleaning service was below average, with cleaning often delayed until the afternoon, leaving the room in a less-than-desirable state. The beds were poorly made, and areas like the toilet and counters were neglected, which was concerning and below the standard of even more affordably priced hotels. Additionally, we used cups to make coffee and they were never replaced the following day by housekeeping. The pillows were the most uncomfortable, being three times the size of regular pillows. Despite requests for smaller pillows or a blanket as an alternative, our needs were overlooked, resulting in restless nights and waking up with neck pain. While the hotel has potential, due to the poor cleaning standards and lack of attention to guest comfort, we would be hesitant to return.

Expérience fantastique: Great little place right on marina. Staff were fabulous from check in to check out. Everyone was happy. Greeting you when the saw you and overall very kind. The hotel was clean, easy to locate, quick 7 min walk into town. The bed omg we stayed in 312 and the cloud fairies arrived the bed was AMAZING! We would book again! Thank you and tell all your staff they are flipping great!

Expérience fantastique: I enjoyed a whale watching excursion with this company and very much enjoyed the experience. Dave skippered a very seaworthy and comfortable vessel, he was engaging and knowledgeable and went out of his way to show us many sights, including orcas, gray whales, sea otters, and sea lions. The scenery is magnificent. Laura at the front desk is very helpful.

Expérience fantastique: Writing a review for the resort’s adventure center/floating sauna experience - not the hotel … it was truly one of the most unique experiences imaginable. On the way to the sauna we enjoyed a 35 minute boat ride with the most remarkable views and actually saw 3 orca whales. Would recommend highly - Aman was a great tour guide.

From the moment we arrived, we were treated with exceptional care, but it was Sarah at the front desk who truly made our experience unforgettable. Expérience positive: First visit to Tofino in a long time! We came with a baby and they had a pack and play ready for us which was an added bonus! Overall we wouldn’t consider it a “resort” as there wasn’t much on site to do (without extra costs). It was nice and close to town so it was walking distant to go for meals and coffees/explore. The room didn’t have much and the bathroom was small. Would be nice to have a freezer in the fridge & microwave, especially for a longer stay. Overall not a bad place, service was great and pretty quick!

Expérience fantastique: We reserved a Queen Suite here spur-of-the-moment for three nights to take advantage of the TravelZoo deal. The price was right and the room was perfect. There is no kitchenette but there is a small fridge, and the front desk gave us a microwave to use for the duration of our stay. The bed was so comfortable! We slept well. We brought our small dog with us and it was no trouble. Staff were friendly and helpful. The location is great in that we were walking distance from Tofino, and a few minute’s drive to all the beaches. I have to mention the fan - I need a fan to sleep and there is a fantastic one provided, which you don’t see in many hotel rooms. Highly recommended, we will stay here again.

Expérience fantastique: As a single woman traveling for work I really enjoyed my stays. Four separate work trips brought me and this was everything I needed. I appreciated being close to my car as traveling alone means a lot of walking in the dark in the winter. I felt safe.

Expérience fantastique: I had a wonderful trip to the hot springs for my friends birthday! Dave was great sharing conversation and pointing out all the wildlife to us - we got to see a humpback whale on our boat ride back!! The hot springs are very raw and natural. There's a 25 min boardwalk that you walk from the dock to the spring. There's just a couple of tiny pools and it can be packed with all the tour companies that go, but the companies scattered the departure times so hopefully there won't be too much overlap and awkwardness trying to fit into a little warm puddle while everyone else is there in the bigger pools/puddles. I can't forget about Laur and Fig in the office and their warm welcome and help! Thank you so much everyone for an unforgettable trip!

Expérience fantastique: Great experience on a recent stay. We wanted somewhere by the harbour, near the town, and affordable. Tofino Resort + Marina checked the boxes. Our room was clean and spacious with the usual amenities plus a kettle and coffee maker with a lot of choices for warm drinks. There was also a mini fridge. The balcony was cute with 2 chairs, but the weather did not cooperate for us to be able to use. A huge plus is Shelter is right on property. When we return to Tofino, we will chose this resort again.

Expérience fantastique: I went here with my dog for a weekend away, not being sure what to expect and was more than pleasantly surprised! I’ve stayed in airbnbs before in Tofino but the Tofino Resort + Marina had by far been my favourite accommodation. Great location and the rooms were very nice and very clean, and all employees were lovely. Super smooth experience and will be staying again in the future for sure!

Expérience fantastique: Had an incredible experience on the hot springs cove excursion! The boat ride out boasts amazing coastal views and the springs themselves are magical. Eamonn was an excellent guide who was very knowledgeable and even took a detour on the way back in order for us to see over 50 otters. All in all it was an unforgettable day.

Expérience fantastique: We had an amazing time at the remote floating sauna. Our guide Callie was awesome - good energy, genuine, and so helpful getting everything set up for us. The whole team at the adventure center is world class, helping us book the day we wanted and packing a little treat in with our lunch. We felt very looked after and cared for in every way. Expérience fantastique: Dave was our guide for the Hot Springs Cove and my husband and I enjoyed every minute of the tour. It was our anniversary and my husband surprised me with this tour and Dave taught us interesting facts about the wildlife, the geography and history of the surrounding areas along our journey. The boat ride was smooth and comfortable and we had a blast! Highly recommend!

Expérience fantastique: We were fortunate to have Eamonn as our guide out to the floating sauna. What an incredible experience this was. Eamonn was super knowledgeable of the area and made the whole process smooth and easy!

Expérience fantastique: Friends and I went out to the remote sauna with the TRM adventure centre. It was such an incredible and unique experience, leaving us all feeling rejuvenated. Our boat captain Aman topped the whole experience off! He got the sauna nice and hot, lit the fire up for us so we could be cozy outside on a chilly November day, and left us with blankets and lots of towels! Thank you so much Aman for being such a star!

Expérience fantastique: My partner and I needed a place to stay and we received a sleek, comfortable and clean room (fridge could be colder or equiped with a freezer). This being the only criticism, it demonstrates how enjoyable the rest of our time was. Thank you for everything, we left light footed and smiles on our faces.

Expérience fantastique: Whale watching!!! We had the pleasure of doing a whale watching excursion with Dave last week. What an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, personable and fun young man who shared his love of all things sea-related with us. Dave is an exemplary ambassador for Tofino Resort and Marina and we will surely recommend this experience for anyone looking for an amazing activity to do in this awesome town.

Expérience positive: I booked my room through a BC Ferries promotion and am more than pleasantly surprised with the results. The registration office is modern and simplistically decorated. It’s warm and inviting. The rooms are clean and beautifully updated. We were also pleased to find complimentary laundry facilities. The view from our room on the ground floor of Sitka building is really of a parking lot/ lane way. But parking and entry are convenient. The property is a one stop shop with an Adventure centre and delicious restaurant (Shelter) only steps away. I would recommend a stay here.

Expérience positive: I specifically choose this hotel because we wanted to do marine activities without driving during our short stay in Tofino. We participated in wonderful tours. The hotel appears to be making improvements slowly, like the exterior needs to be painted. However, we got the last existing room and the room was very clean and comfortable. Check in and check out was very smooth. I do wish the hotel served breakfast. The hotel is close enough to walk into town for breakfast or other meals. The restaurant, Shed's, was absolutely delicious.

Expérience fantastique: Not too bad for a place to stay while we explored the west side of the island. Room was clean and had plenty of hot water and towels. Complimentary energy bars and coffee were a nice touch. Was on the ground floor so there was no privacy as people walked by. Room we were in had no air conditioning but did have à nice Dyson fan. The Shelter restaurant was located just behind it and had some really good food. Parking was a pain at times as parking was limited.

Expérience positive: Tofino Resort and Marino is a well-located hotel and activity center in downtown Tofino. Overall, our experience was good as the service was friendly, and the central location made exploring Tofino easy. However, I think the hotel portion of the resort does need improvement. The room did have clean linens and furniture, and our request for a microwave was fulfilled before our arrival. However, the carpet did have a distinct, musty odour. As well, our room did not seem as well renovated as the check-in counter and the restaurant.

Expérience positive: Beautiful location and always woke up to a beautiful view! Glad that they provided a couple granola bars and coffee! Service was a bummer sometimes, we had to call 3 times about an issue until they finally fixed it. The front desk man wasn’t the most friendly and I could tell he didn’t seem to care about us much from interaction, the ladies were friendly! Walls are very thin, so you will hear your neighbours! We were on a higher floor, so privacy was easier. However, I can’t speak much for people on low floors as if you wanted natural lighting, you will be seen by everybody outside haha otherwise wish that there was more to do around inside the “resort” itself but a nice stay regardless!

Expérience fantastique: I recently went on the floating sauna with Tofino Resort + Marina and it far exceeded my expectations! As a local who lives in the area, I have had the privilege to experience many of the adventures in the Tofino area, and this was definitely at the top! The boat ride to and from the sauna was beautiful, the boat was very nice and comfortable and the captain was very personable, knowledgeable and great to chat with. Overall, it was a great experience that I would highly recommend and definitely do again! Thank you TRM team!

Expérience fantastique: This was an incredible experience!!! We loved our room!! It was incredibly clean and we were thrilled it had laundry!!! It was a 10 minute walk to the grocery store so we were able to cook our own food. We booked the ultimate adventure package as part of our room deal and it was the best decision we made!! From the moment we arrived. The office staff answered all our silly questions so we were properly prepared for the next day. Cali was an incredible guide. She went above and beyond with our tour. Cali was excellent with kids and chatted with them throughout the whole trip! Cali was very knowledgeable and respectful of the land and animals that we were viewing. I would highly recommend requesting her as your guide. I would highly recommend the Tofino Resort and Marina. It was a breathtaking and life changing experience!

Expérience fantastique: Our room had a good size, and we liked the fact that we were on street level and able to park the car right in front of our room. Bathroom and amenities are excellent. The bed was very comfortable and big. Liked the wide brim around it as it made it comfortable to sit on the bed and rest your feet there. Location right at the harbour is fantastic and having the Shelter restaurant right there is extremely convenient. Also easy to book excursions like a whale watching tour.

Expérience fantastique: Had a great stay at the resort. Room was clean. Staff were friendly. Shelter restaurant was very good. The two trips that we booked at the resort were awesome. The first was a whale watching trip and the second was bear watching. Both were with Captain Dave who was a great skipper & full of knowledge about the wildlife we saw. A really enjoyable and memorable stay.

Expérience fantastique: This is going to be a special review: I have not been in the Resort because of the wildfire bloking the road. The personnel were absolutely fantastic at rebooking us first, then informing us patiently, and then crediting the stay because of the impossibility to show up due to our tight schedule and a wildfire road block. The service was personal and amazing in a time in which they must have been overflown with requests from tourists from all world. I will eventually come again and book at the Resort - no doubt.

Expérience fantastique: I’ve been on a few excursions in Tofino and the two that I did with TMR were the best. Both times the guides were experienced, engaging and attentive. Remote kayaking was a really unique experience. Instead of having to paddle out of Tofino, you are taken straight to the middle of such a tranquil and beautiful place. It was such a special trip.

Expérience fantastique: Rooms were big. I asked for an upgrade for a nice view and it was of the parking lot, you couldn’t see the water because of a big ole tree. Had they put us on the 3rd floor we might have had a better view. So don’t pay to upgrade its not worth the extra $30. Tofino is a beautiful sleepy fisherman’s town, that’s how I see it. Nice quiet little spot. It’s a short walk to some local pubs.

Expérience fantastique: My friend and I did a whale watching tour with Tofino Resort and Marina and we really enjoyed it! Our guide was great and very experienced. We say 7 whales that day! The trip was quite exhilarating also because our captain drove fast!!

Expérience fantastique: We did a whale watching tour with Captain Howie. There’s absolutely nothing better than getting a tour from a local himself! He is very knowledgeable of the wildlife, and a fantastic navigator. We enjoyed cruising through the swells! Howie even shared the photos he took from our tour so we got good close-up pictures of the wildlife as souvenir!

Expérience fantastique: We took a whale watching tour with Howie! We had a great experience, we saw sea lions, a whale, a whole bunch of sea otters and a bonus bear on our boat ride. Howie is very professional told us all about the safety on the boat. We had some pretty big swell on our boat ride out to find the whale and you can tell Howie has lots of experience as a captain. It was a really fun boat ride with how big the waves were. We really enjoyed all his knowledge he has about the animals. Would recommend booking this tour.

Expérience fantastique: My husband and I did the half day Kayak tour last week with Carley as our guide. We got a boat up Tofino inlet to the floating marina and spent several hours exploring the little islands in our sea kayaks. Carley was brilliant, so knowledgeable and competent, as an added bonus we saw two black bears on the boat ride along with several eagles. We’d definitely recommend to others!

Expérience fantastique: We booked their Upper Hatch private room for our reception dinner back in November and couldn't have been happier. They worked with us to make our small wedding party feel very comfortable and happy. Beautiful views and delicious food. The staff were amazing and extremely helpful. Can't wait to come back and stay for many more anniversaries to come!

Expérience négative: The front desk was not very welcoming when we checked in, though we gave an advance notice that we would be checking in late past midnight. He did not small talk or explain anything. Throughput the stay we did not meet the same person and other staffs were more friendly and doing alright. The room was clean but not much decor or details. We didn't receive any services besides room cleaning. I wouldn't call it a "resort" but it's just a hotel or apartment. The location was great with a short walk to downtown Tofino. Overall still a nice (but not great) place to stay. However, I need to complain about their adventure center. They had no knowledge about the fishing charter they provided and how the fish processing worked. We went talking with the adventure center and had a great first impression since the staffs were very welcoming and able to fit in a ultimate adventure and fishing charter on the same day for us. We went on the ultimate adventure at 7 am on the next day. The guide was a bit cold at the start but later showed his expertise and fantastic ability to find bears and whales. We were told that our fishing charter started at 11 am when we scheduled it, but not until I confirmed with them again I was told that it was changed to 11:30 am. In the fishing charter, we were not very lucky with 2 stonefish at the first hour and nothing for the remaining four hours. It might be luck but could also be the lack of experience of our young guide. When we came back, the fishing guide started processing the fish without confirming how we'd like it processed though he mentioned different options at the start. We were told that the fish market nextdoor could help vacuum packaging the fillets, but the front desk knew nothing about it and we had to go ask ourselves with 10 minutes before they were closed. I was very shocked when the fish market told me that the fish needed to be whole for them to take it. If not the staff of fish market seeing my desperate face and pity me to still help me out, I would have fish fillets that I could do nothing about and had to spoil. I was definitely not their first guest to do fishing charter and needed help with fish processing, but both the fishing guide and front desk of adventure center did a terrible job making sure their guest could bring home their catch.

Expérience fantastique: The room was great clean and modern. There is a small fridge coffee maker wifi and of course TV.. The rooms have a deck to go outside. Some have views of the Marina. It is in a good location to walk to other amenities.there is a restaurant named shelter next door that is very popular And an adventure tour company. We enjoyed our stay and it was very quiet.

Expérience fantastique: So I stayed here 9 days for a course. The rooms were clean and nice. Sound travels a lot here so if you have a noisy neighbor you will hear them. I overlooked the harbor which was great however the restaurant is also right there by the harbor and the patio is pretty loud on the weekends. It's very close to downtown which is great I walked everywhere for meals and snacks. Staff were very helpful and friendly. I would stay again due to conveyance and the harbour.

Expérience positive: Centrally located to downtown Tofino, the hotel has good accommodations. Howie was an amazing tour guide on the bear adventure and we would totally do it again! The room was a bit basic for the price but comfortable.Being on the first floor there was a lot of overhead noice but by 10pm it got quiet. Howie was an amazing tour guide for the Bear Boat tour. Thanks for a great stay!

Expérience fantastique: We did the floating sauna experience with the Adventure Center at the resort, it was an amazing experience. Great excursion to just immerse yourself in the beauty and sounds of tofino, even on a rainy day. Great way to take a break from the digital world and reconnect with friends. Our guide Dave was awesome! He was so knowledgeable and shared so many great stories with us. We even saw some eagles and seals on our boat ride to the sauna. Overall great experience, would highly recommend!

He made sure everything we needed was equipped and turned on and impeccably clean. Dave is an incredible, friendly and attentive guide. He is extremely knowledgeable about the area and the wildlife, and he passionately pointed out points of interest during our boat ride and various stories about the island.

Expérience fantastique: Our wedding was held here in the space of the Upper Hatch. With Shelter recently taking over the restaurant we were not disappointed with the delicious food and outstanding service from all staff. Matt, the events manager, was amazing throughout the entire process. He always answered our questions in a timely fashion, assisted in the big and small details. He also checked in multiple times during the big day. My groom surprised me with a whale watching tour the next day. Our captain and guide, Howie, I can not speak highly enough of. He is incredibly knowledgeable in the animals we saw, the area, and we felt completely comfortable and safe with him at the helm. Would most definitely take another tour with him! We had a King Suite in the Sitka building. Room was clean, well appointed, with a nice deck to take in the views. The small room with the pull out sofa is perfect for kids to stay in. Tofino Resort and Marina, thank you so much for a wonderful experience all around.

Expérience fantastique: We held out wedding in the upper hatch. We were the first event here since Shelter has taken over the restaurant. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day. Matt was our boots on the ground, he was absolutely fantastic at organizing everything. The folks from shelter did a wonderful job on the menu and dinner. The next day we came back and did a whale watching tour with Howie and it was absolutely incredible. King suite was spacious and bright. Room was super clean and well stocked.

Expérience fantastique: Great stay here at the Tofino Resort and Marina. Loved being able to use the gym. We were in room 205 which had a great view from the deck. The king sized bed was real comfortable.

Expérience fantastique: Great place to stay in Tofino. The room was clean and renovated recently. There was nice ocean view from our room. After we checked out, we realized that our AirPod was left in our room. Then we called the front desk. They found it right away, and mailed back the AirPod to us. Great service! Definitely will consider to comeback again!

Expérience fantastique: We had an excellent room with a partial Harborview, nice balcony with two chairs. Comfortable, king-size bed, and two comfortable chairs to sit in the room. Great location, would definitely go there again!

Expérience fantastique: Everything as promised. Room was clean. Half view Good internet. We had a deal for the week before Easter from Travel Zoo which came to $178 per night including taxes/fees and a $50 per diem breakfast voucher for 2 at "The Shed" a 10 minute walk away. We had two gloriously sunny days one of which we took the 2.5 hour whale watching tour leaving twice daily and a 2 minute walk from our door. If you get it right the views are spectacular otherwise that's life on the Wet Coast. On a particularly wet day you can always have a drink at the Tofino Brewery Company. The fusion west coast Japanese food truck stationed by the entrance has wonderful food at fair prices. Purchase, take it inside and order a beer.

Expérience positive: Not much of a resort, unless you call the waterfront fitness area a 'resort'. Re-freshed rooms but the time delay fans and lights in the washrooms are set way to short. Also, the Tesla chargers couldn't support 2 vehicle charging at once. Hopefully they fix this or have a sign up informing people. No on-site restaurant also. Maybe wait until summer for this.

Expérience fantastique: We booked TRM's floating sauna experience for our anniversary--It was more than we'd normally spend on ourselves for one experience/adventure but is was SO WORTH IT! We sauna-ed, cold plunged, SUP-ed in the rain, ate charcuterie--It was the best day! We can't recommend the floating sauna enough!! Shoutout to our guide, Cole, he was fantastic!
