Expérience négative: Worst gym never go here. Staff are super rude and judgmental and try and talk some non sense into you paying for extra fees . Especially that one guy who’s super young looking with white skin . All the staff are rude all of them they’re judgmental as I walk out I feel judged . Never ever go here don’t waste your money a gym shouldn’t cost hundreds of dollars . Go somewhere else .

It seems like last month’s fee was low, only around $25, but with the annual fee, equipment maintenance fee, and various late fees, it averages over $100 per month. With such high costs, wouldn’t it be better to go to a higher quality gym? I suggest people who want becoming a member here, make sure to read the reviews carefully. Unexpected fees will be charged frequently. When you try to discuss the fees with customer service or the front desk, they keep passing the responsibility back and forth, avoiding any accountability, leaving you feeling helpless. In short, their goal is to make you pay more. A fitness center that operates in such an unconventional and questionable way won’t last long.

Expérience négative: It's a decent gym, especially for the price. The only problem is that every time I sign up I feel like they are trying to scam me on the fees. Why do I need to still pay you for next month if I want to cancel my membership today? You're basically scamming me for one month and it is baked into your contract. I don't know why they can't just make honest money by providing honest service and be happy with it. Such scum

Expérience négative: Awful experience, never go to this club, rip off. First of all I came there with my son with hope to find a decent place for work out, they made me take a programe a try with a trainer( which we initially didn't want to buy), and promise if we dont like they'll cancel it whenever we ask for, but happened so they still kept charging him for traineeship after cancelationv though, then they kept charginng him for new inventory for the gym( why at the beginning? He even hadn't a chance to train at least a year on those once they already had), and now they still send late payment, which my son payed when he tried to canceled the membership. Awful club, draining money

Expérience négative: I registered for they 3 days trial on their website I drove 10 minutes After 20 minutes of presentation When I went there they asked if I ever been to any other locations I answered it was a year ago and it was other locations in Brentwood They told me unfortunately, you’re not eligible to use the 3 days trial It would be so much helpful and save me times if mentioned on they website

As a new member to Club 16 and someone who had little experience in a gym, Edgar really made me feel comfortable. He recognized my strengths and pushed me to challenge my limits, adjusting/ modifying tasks to suit my needs. I couldn’t believe the progress I made in just a few short months. He always shows up with positive energy and pushes me to my limits, all while making sure I'm not injuring myself. He is highly knowledgeable, friendly, and caring - definitely worth every penny. Expérience fantastique: I signed up for Club16 earlier this year back in May. The facility is quite nice and spacious, and there are many equipment to use that even during peak hours, it's not difficult to find alternative equipment to do the exercises I need to do. I signed up for personal training and my trainer, Edgar Garcia, is an excellent trainer. In the few months that we've work together, I've definitely have made quite a noticeable progress with my fitness goals. Edgar is very knowledgeable in his field and I'm learning a lot information with each training session. Edgar is the type of trainer that accommodates to your needs from a workout plan even to a rudimentary meal plan - he can adjust plans very quickly to ensure you can meet your fitness goals. He's very easy to work with and has a very positive vibe that makes each training session enjoyable. If you are thinking about signing up for Club16 and looking to work with a personal trainer, Edgar is one I would highly recommend.

Expérience fantastique: Great Facility with professional staff and fabulous Personal Trainers . I had an amazing experience with my PT, Edgar. Edgar helped me to lose 8% body fat in 3.5 months and instead gained muscle mass .He always pushed my boundaries and every session was a new challenge with some new achievements. Of course the workout plans that he designed for me was fantastic. The gym is well equipped with good machines and it’s clean. Highly recommended.

Expérience positive: My family and I have been going to Club16 for years. My wife and I both have the VIP membership which gives us access to red light therapy, hydro massage, tanning and infrared sauna which are well worth the extra cost. The gym is clean and well run, Staff is great and Value for money is 5 stars, however my son and I regularly find that some of the equipment often unavailable due to high volume. It would be nice if they added one extra of the pec-deck and cable fly machines. Overall we are happy with Club16 and would recommend it to anyone.

Expérience négative: Impossible to cancel. I sent my cancellation email over 30 days ago, still being charged after 30 days so I got bank to put stop payment on my card. They won’t cancel my account unless I pay their “late fees” and keep on trying to charge me. This gym is run by Scammers.

Expérience négative: Do you like poor service? Consistently broken equipment? Overcrowded spaces? Well then this is the place for you! Been a member for years and honestly go here because it's cheap and close to home..... but my patience is wearing thin. Clearly grinding out memberships is the only real mandate. The staff is too busy standing around talking or completely clueless to notice or care about the experience and safety of the customers. Wanna be trainer's galore and helpless front end completely tuned out. If you're close to this location and have low expectations then join me..... otherwise find another option. A black mark on the Trevor Linden name.... staff and management couldn't run a lemonade stand.

Expérience positive: The personal trainers and facilities are good (for the she's fit section), but i wish the AC was stronger. Its hot when you walk in there and makes it harder to finish the workout. However, the studio area is nicely cooled so i usually end up going in there to finish

Expérience négative: I was looking for a new gym to join and registered for a 3-Day Pass on the website. When I arrived and went to the reception for assistance, despite there being about eight staff members, no one offered to help me. Some of them even made eye contact but didn't ask if I needed any assistance and continued chatting among themselves. Eventually, one staff member helped me and connected me with another staff member who introduced me to the gym membership options. Having visited many gyms before, I know that this staff's job is to try and sell better membership and personal training. After listening to him patiently, I asked for a gym tour, but instead of a proper tour, the staff member just walked me around while continuously talking about personal training. I then said that I would like to work out today and use the facilities before deciding on the membership. The staff member then insisted on keeping my ID, which I refused. (When I was being helped at the reception, a girl took my info and had checked my ID already) When I said that I wouldn't be comfortable with that, he immediately said it was fine, which I thought, was funny. Based on these experiences, I have decided not to join this gym.

Expérience négative: Didn't wanna write a review for this location since it's mostly teenagers working here, and you can't expect much customer service from them. However, one of the girls didn't let me use hydro because it was past 6:30 and they closed at 7! That's 30 min left, and the service is 10 minutes! Funny how other locations do their services up until closing lol.

Expérience fantastique: Amazing gym. The environment is open and clean. Dumbbells, plates, ropes, handles, etc. are kept in their racks and bins to ensure a tidy space for everyone. There is a great variety of equipment with. Decent balance of cardio/weight training equipment. Staff is friendly and attentive to your needs. This has become my favourite Club 16 location ✨

I wish there was an add on option for the premium features rather than automatically upgrading to the premium membership. I don’t always want all the features all the time. But you could generate more revenue if you offered a package add on option.

Expérience fantastique: I usually don’t like asking for help but makeo really did a fantastic job, he showed me which machines and gym area that would fit what I am trying to achieve and went above and beyond to show me proper positioning and how to target muscles that would help better my condition. I have serious back pain and to my surprise he was also an RMT in training, he is definitely knowledgeable and I hope to see him again.

Expérience négative: I’ve been a member at club 16 for half a year and today has been the worst experience I’ve had at one. My two friends came in to try the gym with the 3 day free day pass that is clearly posted on the website, we were brought to a table to talk about memberships before the workout. HOWEVER, instead of talking about memberships Kimia talked to them solely about personal training for 20 mins when she said it would be only take 1 minute out of their time. Despite the fact they made it clear that they wanted to try the gym out before and stated they were not interested in any personal training she was very pushy. They were interested in possibly signing up after trying out the gym because that’s the sole purpose they came for, however she said they must sign up for a membership at that moment or pay for an expensive 20 dollar drop in despite being told at the front desk that they could workout after having the consultation. She asked very personal questions and was very rude, kimia said the 3 day free pass used to exist but they discontinued it which is untrue. I’ve never met such a rude club 16 employee that obviously only cares about her own interests to make commission. I recommend if you come to this gym ask for anyone else but her.

Despite being unable to utilize the gym due to illness, I was still asked to pay the membership fee. Even with a doctor's note explaining my situation, I was met with dismissive and unsympathetic responses, comparing the situation to paying for unused Netflix subscriptions.To make matters worse, when I requested the name and last name of the individual (the general manager) I was speaking with, they outright refused, displaying a lack of professionalism and accountability. Additionally, the encounter was tainted by racist remarks and overall rudeness, which is completely unacceptable in any customer service setting.As a result of this disappointing interaction, I made the decision to cancel my membership with Coquitlam Club 16. It's disheartening to see such disregard for customer well-being and basic courtesy. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this gym in the future.

Got there at the time of my appointment and filled out the gym release form, and got shuffled into a waiting area and was told your going to be waiting a bit. Excuse me but why did I make an appointment if you’re not going to be available at that time? I literally told the guy I work afternoons and don’t have a lot of time when I was making the appointment. It was a good thing anyways, as I sit at my little table waiting I got to hear the sales song and dance happening at the table next to me. And to be honest these guys are sleezy and untrustworthy so I just left. I went up to the front desk and explained my problem and asked for a manager and was told I could have his email. These guys don’t value their clients time and just look at you like your nothing but another sale

Expérience fantastique: I love this gym and whenever I leave, I always end up coming back here. It is where I feel most comfortable and never judged. Being someone who is a bit bigger, I have always had most success in my weight loss journey at this club. The staff are all super welcoming and I have had great experiences with trainers as well, they were never pushy and I didn't feel like they were salespeople, they were more trainers looking out for you and your best interest.

Expérience négative: I am very disappointed in the sales representative, and how they try to manipulate you into paying higher costs to join etc. I understand what these memberships are all about, as in they want to get as many memberships as possible because that's what they are encouraged to do but what I experienced recently is unacceptable. I had asked the club representative if I could downgrade from VIP which costs $40 a month, to the other membership that costs only $20 a month. He said, more than once that I could do that without penalty. I made sure I asked so I could be clear, otherwise I wouldn't of signed up for the VIP. I called today to ask if that was accurate as I was having second thoughts committing to $40 a month and wanted to downgrade. The "managers" were not at all helpful. They told me that it wasn't possible for me to downgrade because I had signed up for the year, and they didn't address the employee giving me misleading information at all. No matter what I said, they wouldn't budge. For a new member this is not good customer service at all. I was given misinformation just to get the sale. There was no miscommunication, just purposely misled to get a sale. I'm very disappointed and now I'm locked in for a year or get charged $75 to cancel. I was excited to join Trevor Linden but now I feel jaded. Most contracts have a grace period. If you are considering joining this club, be very careful and go to the manager to ask any questions before signing, to make sure you are given the correct information. I'm stuck with you for a year Trevor, but I don't about beyond that and I will tell others how I feel.

Never notice anything as far as house keeping issues, other than the wipe down sheets, which can get blown away. Happen to like the lower light. Expérience négative: Will not be recommending or even stand foot on the grounds of Club16. For anyone joining this club I have to say you better be set for life cause a simple cancelation process isn’t available in this gym. You will be CHARGED EXTRA without consent or reasonable explanation to cancel your membership. There are hidden fees which makes the business ethics questionable. My experience, I was told by Mathew that there will be no cancellation fee on my agreement since the agreement was a month to month and guess what there is a cancellation fee on my agreement now which I point blanked asked when I was signing up! Next, there is no such thing as customer service, My reason for cancelling this club was simply because I was not satisfied with my service and had a clinical problem so I wanted to stop working out for a couple of months to rest. Now club 16 has left me speechless with the fees being so historically confusing that my lawyer even laughed when I showed them the email receipt. For example, I am receiving emails that I have to pay $157 as of November when as in the month October I was received an email that I had to pay $199 for my cancellation fee. Again I do not recommend signing up with this club since my trust in the staff that works here was compromised. I’m so disappointed in this club where a place for physical activity such as a Gym should be ethical and professional and in my experience this concept is long gone with club 16 especially this branch and they just view customers as a money bag!

Expérience fantastique: My daughter signed recently up for a membership and told me about the 3-day pass. My expectations were actually low due to some of the reviews I have read, but I experienced otherwise. The gym wasn't crowded even during peak times, it was clean, staff was very friendly and helpful, and I didn't feel pushed in signing a contract right away. For the next few month, I am still a member of Anytime Fitness where I pay 3 times as much which I hate. So I am happy I gave Club 16 a try and will soon become a member.

Expérience négative: Throughout my membership at this gym, I've been confronted with ongoing billing issues spanning over 12 months that the staff has continuously neglected to address. Upon closer examination, I uncovered a glaring error on their part: they registered me under "SHE'S FIT" in North Delta instead of the correct "Club 16" in Coquitlam. Despite my numerous attempts to draw their attention to this matter, they insisted on blaming my credit card, even after I changed it on four separate occasions. It's become increasingly apparent that the staff, particularly Matthew, the manager, may be uncooperative and biased, further exacerbating the situation. I even mentioned to Matthew that the previous manager had closely monitored my account, but he showed no concern and persisted in blaming me for not having a valid credit card, even though the same card worked perfectly on my partner's account. After expressing my concerns, as I walked out of the gym, I could hear and see him, particularly Matthew, the manager, laughing at my situation. Their behavior was not only extremely rude but also shockingly childish. It's evident that professionalism and basic courtesy are severely lacking in their management. I strongly advise against considering this gym as an option.

I initially visited for a free tour to explore the facilities and understand the membership details. During the tour, a representative informed me that the membership cost would be $12.58, and I agreed to it. However, things took a turn for the worse when I went to sign the membership documents. The salesperson attempted to add on additional fees that were not previously discussed, and I firmly declined. I was assured that these extra charges wouldn't be applied to my credit card. Unfortunately, this turned out to be false. To my shock, I discovered that my credit card had been charged not once, but three times already, all within a short span of time. This bi-weekly charge was not only unexpected but also completely unauthorized. It's clear that the gym's sales tactics are deceitful and misleading, which has left me feeling scammed and taken advantage of. I strongly advise anyone considering this gym to exercise caution and thoroughly read the fine print before signing up. The lack of transparency, coupled with unauthorized charges, has tarnished my perception of this establishment. I hope my experience serves as a warning to others who might fall victim to these unethical practices.

The rear delt fly machine has been down for almost two months and everyday there is more machine getting added to the list. It’s pretty bad, worst I’ve ever seen at any gym that I’ve attended I mean the machine’s are older looking too, so maybe it’s time for the local ownership(as it says on the entrance door)to spend some money? bc there are alot of newer gyms in the area without these issues!

Expérience négative: First Impressions were good. Friendly staff and great price, but the issues soon arose after coming here for a few months. It's a very busy gym and it's somewhat filthy as well. You'll definitely be struggling to find parking and you will be waiting for a bench for forever during peak hours. Some machines are quite filthy too, I'll touch the mechanism to adjust the positioning of the machine and I'll have touched some mystery goo. However, despite all of these issues. It's a great starter gym with a lot of friendly gymers.

Expérience fantastique: I started going to the gym last year, and Club16 has been a great option for me since it's quite affordable! I went in with the intention to make going to the gym a weekly routine and to reach my physical goals. I bought a personal training package with Baran to help with that, and omg, she's been amazing. At first I was skeptical if personal training was really worth it, but I decided to make the investment. There were so many things I didn't know from bracing to protein intake to hypertrophy. Whenever I went in for my session, it held me accountable and I could also look forward to it. It was like I was going to the gym to meet a friend who always pushed me to my limit (in the best way possible)! When I had any questions, she'd always try and give me the most informative answer. She has a lot of technical knowledge and I could tell she was passionate about helping me reach my goals! I highly recommend Baran if you're looking for a trainer, absolutely love her!

Expérience négative: Opted to give this gym a try. Eight pieces of equipment were non-functional with repair signs posted. Tried various bikes and treadmills but the TV signal did not work on any of them. Went to the bench press. There are only 2 bench presses for a gym of this size with many users waiting, resulting in lengthy delays. According to other gym members, this is a frustrating, chronic issue. Five workers were socializing behind the desk for over an hour while hand sanitizer dispensers and soap dispenser in the men's bathroom was empty or broken. Surprised Trevor Linden associates himself with a gym in such disrepair.

Take the time to read their LOWEST reviews to get some idea of their lack of ethics. When at first you sign up they are absolutely your best buddy. A whole different ball game when you try and cancel. It becomes a nightmare to deal with them when cancelling. All the staff give you a different explanation as to how you should cancel or who deals with the actual cancellation. All this is done to delay the cancellation so that they can continue to charge you with the bi weekly fees and other hidden fees. And yes, I have not given my real name for fear of victimization from this fitness center that seem to extort and intimidate hundreds of people

Expérience fantastique: Honestly, I do not know where to begin. Words can not even begin to describe the level of feeling I have toward this Jim. Whether it was the staff or the gym layout, I found that every step of the way, I was confronted with these emerging feelings. The very moment I gazed upon the layout of this gains garden, I was overwhelmed by a feeling of unworthiness. In that moment of self doubt, I was approached by none other than the absolute Giga Chad, Trevor Lindon himself. He then placed his hands of steel upon my undeserving shoulders, and stated "Welcome to the church of Iron little one. This place is yours to seize." A single quiver made its way down my spine, before I proceeded the grip the bar of the whimsical "lat-pull down" machine. I pulled with all my might, and with every fiber of my being, I felt my lats and brain engage. I then found a washroom as the pre workout had began to take effect (Absolute Certified Uhh-Ohh Moment). Upon entering the bathroom, I was greeted with a higher presence that can only be described in emotion. Words fail to capture what my 5 senses did that fateful day. As I turned the corner and gazed upon the divinity, that was the club 16 male washrooms. From the shimmering counter tops to the spotless mirrors. I felt a single tear come to my eye as I breathed in the fresh scent of raw gains. The level of cleanliness was unmatched via any establishment within a 50-mile radius. I would feel safer placing my tongue upon any centimeter of this room rather than any Jr chicken produced by the inmates referred to as "McDonald's employees." I have elevated my physique to a level uncomprehendable to mere mortal scum. Some may call it perfection, but us higher beings refer to it as heavenly. I had signed up for a membership with the gym, and I was charged $52 without my consent for an annual fee. When I initially registered for the membership, I specifically asked if there were any annual fees, and I was told that there were none. I feel misled and taken advantage of. When I requested a refund, I was informed that it was not possible. Even when I reached out to your customer service team and Head Office, I found them unhelpful and unapologetic about the situation. Your lack of accountability and transparency was extremely frustrating. I believe it is important for businesses to adhere to ethical business practices and provide accurate information to their customers. The experience I had with Club 16 has left a sour taste in my mouth, and I would like to request a full refund for the unauthorized annual fee. I hope that you take this feedback into consideration and encourage you to improve your business practices for the sake of your customers. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I emailed them not to withdraw money from my account until they give me a membership card, but today they took an extra fifty dollars and the manager refused to talk to me. Unfortunately, because my English is not good, I had to leave a review for everyone to see. When I said I don't want to come to the stadium, they said you have to pay a fine. I really don't know what to say

Expérience négative: Went in to cancel my girlfriends membership but was told we had to call a third party. Waited an hour on hold, and once canceled, was emailed a bill for 71$ unbeknownst. Went back inside to get an explanation and also a refund for 12 personal training sessions that were never used (value of about $700) but we're told these were non refundable and we would need an active membership to use them, but could not refund. We explained that after trying to use them for a year that we were unable to find a trainer with a schedule that matched ours and would not be able to make use of them, hence us cancelling the membership. Was also unable to refund the 71$ as this was the annual fee for "club improvements" of a gym we are no longer using. Asked for a copy of the contact to review but never received it. Bottom line, my girlfriends first language isn't English and she was tricked into signing something she didn't understand, paid for a service that she didn't receive, and was denied a refund or compensation and now we're out almost 800$. Don't go here.

Expérience fantastique: I've just recently finished personal training here and I had an amazing time. My trainer Simon was very kind and helpful, he understood what I wanted to do and helped me do it. All of the staff are very friendly and no one has ever given me trouble in the gym. Would highly recommend going here if you are looking for training.

Expérience négative: As much as I liked their new equipments and their centergy class I got to say im very disappointed with their customer service and the staff that are located at the main entrance. Yesterday I wanted to work out as an elite member and brought my partner as a guest to work out together and one of them stopped him and started asking where he lives and if he is from Alberta or somewhere that isnt in Vancouver!!(like What does that make a difference a guest is a guest and it should be free as Im paying monthly for my elite membership.)she then asked my partner to pay 10$ for just a simple workout on that day and she was very rude. Before my enrollment their staff gave me all the info a year ago about the elite membership and its perks and they never mentioned the guest should be from somewhere outside Vancouver! Mind you to say this was my first time even bringing a guest with me. i’ll be canceling my membership today Im very disappointed.

Expérience négative: I had an extremely disappointing experience with Club16 and would strongly advise anyone considering it to look elsewhere. The contract terms and pricing were not clear from the beginning, and I was charged a $52 "maintenance fee" 2 months later that I was never informed of while signing the contract. This is completely unacceptable and shows a lack of transparency and honesty. Morever, the staff rushed me through signing the contract and did not take the time to ensure that I fully understood the terms and conditions. Now I need to cancel my membership due to a physical injury, the gym is refusing to do so without a letter from my doctor or living 30 km away from the gym, but they never mentioned that it would be an annual contract on the registration day. This policy is extremely unfair and shows a complete lack of empathy for their customers. I would strongly advise anyone considering this gym to think twice before signing up. The lack of transparency, poor customer service, and unfair policies make it a terrible choice.

Expérience négative: Times open are terrible among that they have poor customer service when it comes to dealing with the notification side of things or errors. So if you can cancel your gym membership and even though they ensure your membership has been canceled. They apparently dont properly cancel it so you continue getting charged. Then when you get a text message saying your account is still getting charged they seem to wait right until the last second... so now instead of 4 payments i owe 6. This is not a gym i would go to if you like good service from staff that actually treat their customers like they mean something
