The equipment is always clean, well-maintained, and there’s plenty of variety to keep my workouts interesting. The staff is super friendly and creates such a welcoming atmosphere. I have to give a special shoutout to my trainer, Angelo—he is truly amazing! Angelo is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and motivating. He takes the time to understand my fitness goals and creates personalized plans that push me just the right amount. His energy and enthusiasm make every session enjoyable and productive. If you’re looking for a gym with a positive environment and a fantastic trainer, I highly recommend Planet Fitness—and be sure to ask for Angelo if you need expert guidance!

Expérience négative: Very unhelpful. I drove all the way to this gym two days in a roll just trying to get a membership. Turned out that they are incapable to process RBC bank information. Cannot speak to a manager at all to resolve the issue for days. Staff Evec unwilling to call the manager at any time because his shift does not overlap with the manager. No one there willing to resolve the issue at all. The staff initially granted me a day pass. When I asked to use the bathroom, Evec then said equipment only. Totally unhelpful and bad customer service.

If you haven't already, we suggest contacting your local club manager to bring this issue to their attention. We are always willing to listen to helpful feedback.
Expérience négative: The employees and managers are very rude at this location. Their rules about the pf black card membership are utterly unnecessary and overly complicated. You will pay almost 40$ a month and they will give you a difficult time if you’re bringing in a guest with you . I do not recommend this location in particular.

Expérience fantastique: Love this gym, good location and friendly staffs especially Sara and Josephina also great trainer Angelo. Thank you guys for providing such a good services and training. Just one thing that hopefully this gym will add more strength machines, I always go to the gym in the early morning or non peak hours on the weekends but most of the time the machines are still occupied by others.

Expérience fantastique: I have been going to this gym from last 3 years, and genuinely it is the best gym I ever went to, everything is available under one roof when it comes to your fitness journey. Also, staff is really outstanding and always their to help you. Specially arjun, he is always attentive and active to address to issues throughout my visit. Even before this gym location opened since I started my membership in Chicago. its so busy I have to wait 30 minutes for a bench/machine. worse now in the summer since the gym has given free membership to teenagers. they care more about attracting teenagers than their actual paying members

They are accepting way more people than the gym could accommodate. Every single machine is being used all the time because 75 percent of the gym is cardio machines. STOP ACCEPTING MORE MEMBERS GREEDY PEOPLE

Expérience négative: Arjun Is absolutely unprofessional and disrespectful. I have been a member of this planet fitness since it opened years back and I've never met a more unprofessional employee than this person. I've been visiting the gym during the midnight hours and this employee is amongst one of the few that works the night shifts. He barely shows up at the front and doesn't do his job. He shows up without a uniform, is constantly on his phone or never at the front desk, either at the back, constantly leaves to get pizza or is even in his vehicle. This person works out during his shifts with his Co-workers using the machines, has also refused to let members use a machine because he was using one on his shift.. and has never been seen working at all, I am not sure why planet fitness is hiring people with such poor work ethic. During the day, the employees are great at what they do. But this employee slacks off during the night because no one is watching, well the members are watching and it is disappointing to see what's happening. I couldn't bother to address this issue until I noticed him parking his car in a handicapped parking spot when there's clearly a spot beside him, it is absolutely disrespectful as I have noticed multiple handicapped members at this gym and it is illegal to park in a handicapped spot without a permit. This person is beyond disrespectful and non-useful, and should not represent planet fitness. As a long time member of this gym, I and multiple others have concluded this person a non efficient worker, management needs to take action immediately.

Expérience négative: I’ve been coming at this location since last 2-3 weeks and I ride a motorcycle. My motorcycle helmet does not fit inside the lockers, so I asked the person at the counter to please keep it behind the counter and it’s under my responsibility. He said I can leave my helmet in the open cabinet where people put their shoes and stuff. They have been keeping my helmet since last couple weeks behind counter and now out of nowhere they said they can’t. Assistant manager Jonathan was very arrogant and rude and didn’t wanna find a solution for me. I am visiting from Calgary for couple months and this is the worst experience I’ve ever had at a planet fitness. I hope you guys start cooperating with motorcycle riders.

Expérience négative: This is NOT A SAFE place!!!!! I went to workout for the first time this place and someone broke my locker and stole my wallet. Other person also complained about his wallet got also stolen. This is a very bad place !!!be careful people with your belongings.

Expérience négative: Very rude front office staff - Arjun and Chavez, two of the employees ant the front are extremely rude. If I ask for help or ask any questions at all they look me dead in the eye with no response. Note to management - you need to speak to these 2 employees, Arjun and Chavez and have them change their behaviour or get rid of them as they are creating an unsafe environment for guests. Unfortunate because this used to be my favourite gym but I will be cancelling my membership for now.

Expérience négative: I signed up for black membership couple of months ago, so i can bring my mom as a guest with me. She was only using massage bed in the facility. She used it around 10 different sessions and was loving it. Then Katie (one of the employees) told my mom cold heartedly that she cannot use massage bed as a guest. That defeat the whole purpose for me so I canceled my memebership. Keep in mind this is after they charged me for annual fee and monthly for the current month. I think they should have to explain this policy at first. By the way this location is not very clean as you can see in the images I attached, you can find a lot dust bunny under the machines

Expérience négative: Parking situation is horrible, so many groups of people taking up multiple machines and people don’t clean up after themselves - please have some common courtesy. The air ventilation is also bad. The Pickering location is the best, at least it’s clean and people respect each other.

Expérience négative: The floor by the free weights is uneven and causes dumbbells to roll (potentially a safety hazard i think). The parking situation is horrible. Ventilation in the open space of the gym is fine but the side rooms are so stuffy, significantly warmer, and don’t seem to have much ventilation. Some of the rooms also hold smells since they don’t seem to be well ventilated. Mirrors could be extended in the free weight section now since the paper towels and sanitation spray were moved. Good selection of equipment. There are machines I didn’t find at a GoodLife location, in comparison. Needs another chest fly machine.

Expérience positive: Mediocre gym, so you get what you pay for. If you like cardio this place is for you considering about 60-70% of the gym is just cardio equipment. This place falls in line with Fit 4 Less and the like if not worse. If youre looking for a budget gym it definitely can hold you over but the constant "teen" promo's, equipment needing to be repaired, lack of strength equipment and free weights is the reason im giving it a 3/5. I'd actually give it a 2.5/5 considering about 2-3 weeks ago a kid had to be kicked out becuase he tried to make a "gym prank video" however its close to me so it gets that extra 0.5.

Expérience négative: Planet Fitness is probably not for you (and for me) if you're coming from YMCA/Goodlife Markham (which I'm from). I had to save money so I downgraded to Planet Fitness and it wasn't worth it. It is unfortunate to say but the changing room stank like urine and the floor was dirty. There is definitely some odour issue going-on on the main floor as well. There are plentiful machines for cardio-based workouts , however the free-weights (dumbbells) are lacking a bit. I recommend Planet Fitness for those on a tight budget and want to kickstart their fitness journey without breaking the wallet.

Expérience fantastique: For the price, this gym can’t be beat. This specific location at Kennedy and Steeles is clean and well maintained and tons of equipment. Multiple locations are accessible with the black card across Canada and the US(typically go to the Clearwater location in Florida for 3 months of the year) Tanning, massage chairs and red light therapy machines are all huge bonuses with a super affordable membership to go along with it. Also, not to mention, no big egos or dudes full of themselves when comparing to the GoodLife location at Yonge & 407 or the LA Fitness at Kennedy & 401 which is a huge pet peeve of mine. If you’re on the fence about getting a membership, look no further and purchase it!

Expérience positive: Last winter I got tennis elbow by shovel snow. The pain last for so many months. My physiotherapist suggested me do some fitness. I activated my membership with Planet, the free personal training is really good. Recently under the half an hour new member orientation, my personal trainer Angelo Angeles trial to cure the tennis elbow. The pain much released after fitness and the orientation with Angeles. Expérience positive: The trainer, Angelo, is patient and explains the exercise routines clearly. He seems to be the only trainer though. It would be nice if there are more trainers available. It would also be a great membership incentive if there are group fitness classes. Overall, the gym is clean and for the most part, has multiple equipment available for its members to use.

Expérience fantastique: I joined this location 2 weeks ago and only have positive things to say! The facility is extremely clean and equipment is in great shape! Staff are friendly and helpful! I got the Black Card membership which is very affordable and means my husband can join me for free as a guest, which is awesome because we always work out together. So essentially getting 2 memberships for the price of one! Twice a week we meet up with Angelo who is their personal trainer and is AMAZING! He's taught us so much and I'm finally learning how to lift weights properly and getting a great workout plan that is effective while not being overwhelming. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I actually look forward to going to the gym now!

The harasser was still allowed to stay, didn't even speak to him. This place can't guarantee your safety. I have canceled my membership.

Expérience négative: It is with deep regret that I am writing this review. I have been coming to this PF for a couple years now- maybe more. Today, I was harassed by another PF member and it was dealt with very poorly. During my workout, a man kept looking over at me, which made me uncomfortable, but is acceptable. I made a face at him to show disinterest. This happened multiple times throughout the night. Eventually, he had come up to me and stood uncomfortably close, asking if he could talk to me, to which I shrank back and said “No.” He persisted, not caring much for my rejection, and my male friends had to get involved, acting as a barricade between the other member and myself. He was yelled at and asked to leave. But he persisted, moved to the side and reached out to me, still trying to talk. This situation was extremely uncomfortable and to an extent, made me feel unsafe. A third party had noticed what just happened and spoke to us about it, saying we should report the situation to management. My friends and I went to the front desk to bring light to what had just happened, third party included. We spoke with who I believe was the assistant manager and another employee: Jonathan and someone else. I was so extremely disappointed in how Jonathan handled the situation; he failed to show any empathy or concern towards me. Jonathan had repeatedly cut off my friend when he was talking with “So then nothing happened?” This verbal behaviour had implied that because I was not physically touched by the member, everything that happened was okay. Additionally, he said that we should have gone to the front desk while it was happening instead of afterwards. Harassment in itself is an offence and should be treated as such. Nobody should have to wait to be assaulted for the PF management to take action. My friend showed the other staff member who the man was, and Jonathan said they would talk to him but wouldn’t couldn’t anything else. I have no idea whether he was spoken to or not. Other staff members expressed concern regarding the situation and apologized for my experience. The gym itself is nice, and most of the employees are kind. But unfortunately, this gym is partially in the hands of someone who genuinely could not care less about women being harassed and feeling unsafe. It happened to me, and could most definitely happen to other people.

THE POOL IS ALWAYS CLOSED AND HAVE LONG DELAYS ON REPAIRS. THEIR EQUIPMENT ARE NOTHING COMPAIRED TO planet fitness. Planet Fitness is the best!

Full of excuses, and they purposefully make sure you can’t cancel your account or even switch home gyms. Staff look like they’re just there to socialize
Expérience positive: Overall experience is OK. But customer service is definitely below U.S. standards. The gym can get busy. The cable machines and extensions are in need of repair, adjustment, and/or alignment. The smith machines are almost always occupied and some users tend to spend more time chatting or taking selfies or videos while others are lining up to use the machines. The water fountain needs repair. The bathroom & change areas need more regular attention. No paper towels are provided in bathrooms.

Expérience négative: The gym is clean. I would say Staff are mostly friendly. As for the crowd, some aren't really working out, more than a couple of times i have seen people here playing and goofing around, it just kind of ruined the atmosphere somehow. Today , May 31st at about 7:00pm, at the Women’s Changing Room, a staff was trying to clean the mirror. My stuff , water bottle , cellphone and my bag is close to it. She sprayed the cleaning agent all over, she could’ve wait a little bit for me to finish changing , cuz i am just tying my shoes and i should be done like in 2 minutes.But Nope, kind of insensitive that someone is there and you’re spraying all over isn’t it? It’s just a turn off, I had a very good experience at Gerrard location and I go here because this is closer. Overall, still pretty decent.

Expérience positive: It is a place to work out. A white male staff member refused to assist with controlling the 30 min workout area by having me deal with other clients myself. 30 min work out and 15 min ab areas being taken up by people who are not following the rules making it impossible to get a quick 30 min or 15 min workout as per what was sold to me. I took the black card membership so I could travel to different clubs and use the massage machines along with the regular option of getting a fast workout when I need to. Have considered canceling if things don't improve.

Expérience négative: Staff is okay, stopped going here because there were two guys (tall, heavier set, asian, tanned, 20-30ish) who would go around the gym and stand near women/highschool girls who were wearing shorter outfits and talk about how sl*tty they were and how they shouldn't be wearing those outfits. Couldn't prove it but they would talk loud enough for the person to hear it, I've witnessed them do it to other girls but the girls would just ignore it and try not to make eye contact. This included myself when I wore spandex shorts. I should have told staff at the time but seemed like they were friends so I decided to leave the gym instead and not cause trouble. Edit: (This was a couple years ago and I feel bad about not reporting it and hope that if they are still there and if anybody reads/are experiencing this to tell staff immediately).

Expérience positive: Everything is great, but have a pet peeve to address. Come on customers/members, do you really need to leave every sink counter area to be soaking wet where you wash your hands? It looks like someone took either a shower or a bath at the sink. I generally prefer to be not sarcastic, but will if it's the only way to get my point across. First impressions, it looks Inconsiderate of the slippery/watery Mess left behind and borderline unsanitary. Respectfully, please pick up after yourselves.

Expérience négative: Sour face staffs are pretty inhuman. Let me out at 2:40 am and it was -4 °C just because I wear Yeezy sports slipper . And treated me that they would cancel my membership:) . Just because I wear a harmless slipper when there is 4 people in the gym. I’ve seen people wear sneakers and took off the shoes to use hack squat. And I just need to use the dumbbells:) . I don’t know why they doesn’t kick those guys out maybe just because I’m Asian and those people who don’t even wear anything on foot was their kind. Pretty racist. Here’s the two sour face staffs.

Nothing was spoken about into detail about the gas cannot use the Hydro bed. I was told you can bring a guest if you are a diamond member you are able to have use of the full gym not just the workout machines today I walk in and the manager whispers to the girl it is only for her not her guess, when I was not told this and they were not transparent with me when you were signing up and moreover, the manager doesn’t have enough respect to walk up to the gas and explain to them and show them where it says this he just says every location is different and tells me that my father cannot use the Hyderabad that 63 years old I would like to come with me and accompany me to the gym and give me support to be able to work out and Deal with my arthritis. Problem in my lower back. BAD MANAGEMENT SKILLS RUDE DISRESPECTFUL MANAGER JOHNATHAN AT KENNEDY STEELES LOCATION what a fraud they sign you up and it even said on there website I can da FULL ACCESS TO GYM AND SPA MASSAGE CHAIR AND BRING A GUEST INCLUDED WHICH IS THE ONLY PERK WITH PAYING DOUBLE

Expérience positive: It is good to see equipment replacement and the addition of new equipment. However, I found certain equipment is gone. I have been with this location for five years and used the arc trainer everyday. It is truly a huge loss and disappointment for me that no arc trainers now exist at all. I can see many more ellipticals were added. Why can you not "tolerate" even a couple of arc trainers? Please do not use the cookie cutter response to me, asking me to let the management know. I did make the manager Jay aware of my disappointment the next day I came back after the replacement. Timely replacement of the old equipment and addition of new one do benefit and are appreciated by the gym members, but please be considerate of the loyal members that have been enjoying working out in this location every day with certain favorite equipment. I hope to see my arc trainers back soon.

Expérience négative: Worst customer service ever ! They don't have information about the transactions on your account and if you are to cancel your account, you can't do it online or over the phone. Even if you are away in another country, they'll still need you to come to the location to cancel the account and you will be continued to be charged for all that while. I don't recommend this gym.
