Expérience négative: If I could give this location a zero, I would. For starters, it's overcrowded. Now, I understand that isn't something the team members can really address. It's a convenient location, but there was 2 people to every machine/station. It was insane. The air was so thick, maybe the ventilation needs attention too? Second, this location is filthy. Why?? There was just garbage everywhere, nothing was wiped down or cleaned. The dumbbells were sticky. Nothing was refilled, so how could people clean if they wanted to. Equipment. This is a gym goer issue, but if you are done with the equipment then put it away after yeah? Why is there just equipemnt pieces hidden throughout the gym as if we are doing a scavenger hunt. And lastly, just as a personal preference, is there a way to make the women feel more comfortable? I was harassed 4 times while trying to work out. I kept trying to go back into the she's fit section (overcrowded, poorly managed), but aren't we supposed to also feel welcomed? Other men saw what was happening and didn't say anything. I ended up leaving before I was finished, I felt so uncomfortable. Would not recommend this location to anyone, but strongly advise against women going unless you're only staying in the cardio section. And in case anyone has the audacity to accuse me of dressing for attention, I was wearing a full body loose fitted black sweatsuit... (Other club16 locations are great)

Expérience négative: Worst ever people doing scam, I joined the services with Goyal something guy, i think they have some targets to run the business. These guys do scam with the person who doesn’t know about the gym. I went there 100 times for cancellation of my services. Every time they were making excuses i think avinash something is a manager. They didn’t cancelled my services and now charging - Almost 100 dollars biweekly. I was having month to month contract and the day I paid the services. Within 2 weeks i told them to cancel it on call but they just make this kind of sales to achieve targets. I should zero to the manager and management for making money

Expérience fantastique: I joined it in October and appointed trainer namely Gurinder Sodha , According to my situation like lower back issues and fatty liver, so he figure out workout for me that really works dramatically decrease in overall fat every day , so my health getting better each week. Expérience négative: I’m deeply disappointed by the lack of basic hygiene at this gym. When I needed to wash my hands, there was no soap in the washroom. I asked the front desk for help, only to be told there was no male staff to check, and no sanitizer or alternative available. This is unacceptable and shows a lack of respect for members’ health and well-being. This negligence reflects poor management and needs urgent attention. No member should have to experience such unsanitary conditions.

Expérience négative: Shadiest cancellation policy. Just as other comments mentioned, they misrepresent their cancellation terms and move you around from department to department trying to make the process as covoluted as possible. Blatant disregard to even BC consumer protection act that explicitly states that consumers should be allowed to cancel their membership should they move more than 30kms away from the facility they signed up for.

Expérience négative: I gave 5 stars rating earlier but then it turns into a bad experience so 5 stars turning to 0 stars. 1.) 3-4 months back I went to the front desk to change my payment method to my new AMEX card , They updated and missed the payments and end up adding 2 late fees to my account without my mistake.Then front staff replied that there's a issue with Pre authorized payments with Amex , I was not explained and after debating all .. I was just offered for return of 1 miss payment and without my fault I paid extra. 2) I emailed your staff to pause my membership with providing the Hospital Discharge form which i Got from My Hospital as I just went through a Surgery and My Doctor added some notes on the discharge form as well to not to lift heavy for atleast 4 weeks ,I got a reply to provide a doctor's signature form to pause my gym membership while I recover from surgery. my current focus is on healing, and obtaining a signed form from my doctor adds unnecessary stress during this time. I m not able to drive and to get a signed form for pausing the membership from doctor I need to use taxi's and it will be spending double money on uber to save some bucks for membership. Really don't understand this kind of policies which is actually like No option for pausing the membership. 3) When I called , I was misinformed by the staff that it is possible to pause your membership for sometime if i can provide the medical papers such as Doctor information, Surgery Details or Discharge form.Even they kept giving me the wrong email which they gave is ( [email protected]), In actual there's no such email and the correct email : [email protected] , which i got after going to the website.Again misinformed , Mis guided. Expérience négative: Honestly the worst club16 I’ve been too. Unfortunately I come here on the regular. The majority of users do not put weights away and almost nobody whipes down equipment after use. There is a high risk of germ passing due to this. On the note of putting weights away the free weight dumbbell rack is always mixed up nothing in the right place. Staff do not seem to care and make no efforts to fix the problems. I highly recommend you to find a different gym and unfortunately I’ll be doing the same. I only go here because I recently moved to Surrey central and the Langley location is too far away (it is 10x better)

Expérience négative: I had purchases 36 sessions of personal training at club 16, and base on the agreement said “number of payment” so my understanding is I had to pay 36 times of the fee every other week, however, I have checked my credit card and it’s more than 36 times, and today made a phone call, they told me they will charge for one year no matter how many sessions I bought it, isn’t it ridiculous?? And the entire phone call with a bad attitude and impatient, it feels like they don't care about service, they just want money from your bank account.

Expérience négative: WORST GYM EXPERIENCE! UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP This is the worst gym I have ever been to. I joined this gym 2-3 months ago. During the registration process, they convinced me to opt for an annual membership. I informed them that I might move to a different location, so I might need to cancel it. They assured me that if I relocated, I could easily cancel the membership by providing a flight ticket as proof, and they would handle the cancellation. I signed up for the annual membership, but after just one month, I started experiencing muscular pain from a pre-existing condition. I approached a Club16 team member to cancel my membership and showed them my MRI report. They asked me to get a doctor's note. I obtained the note, but then they insisted it had to be on a Club16-specific form. I complied and submitted the note on their form, emailing it to both customer care and the team member who requested it. Now, customer care is saying that my injury is not significant enough to justify canceling the subscription. Meanwhile, the team member replied that they need a stamp on the form and, without it, cannot process the cancellation. This back-and-forth has been going on for 2-3 weeks. When I initially signed up, they misrepresented the cancellation policy. I am relocating from BC and have provided a ticket as proof of my move. However, they claimed the girl who explained the policy during the sign-up was new and didn’t know the correct process. I am extremely disappointed with their service. It feels like they are just stealing money from people. Google should allow negative ratings for places like this.

Expérience négative: I want to give ZERO star for this gym location. I used to go to Langley branch and it was wonderful gym. Since I moved to Surrey, I started to go to this place and it is awful. Smells so bad every time so I cannot breathe well. No one manages this gym i think. Almost all members do not clean the equipment after they use it and just left and staff dont care about this. The most awful thing is smelly environment. Please clean and manage this gym. I even dont try washroom here. Want to cancel my membership but the fee is super high for cancellation. Insane..

Expérience positive: Been working out here 3-4x a week for a year as of Oct 1st. Pro: The facility itself has the equipment I need to get my range of workouts done. The women’s side is lacking some of the equipment but I just leave and use the unisex side as needed. There is always parking, because it’s a mall. It’s a large space with lots of cardio equipment. Everything is pretty worn in but workable - they replace as needed. Cons - peak times are hard which is the case with many gyms but it is very busy and often I don’t get the equipment I want because it’s so crowded. I usually go when it isn’t peak but that’s not always convenient for my schedule. The staff never acknowledge me, maybe a handful of times I’ve gotten a hello but they are often in full conversation with each other. People aren’t good at wiping down or putting weights away where they belong - but again for a gym may be typical. The crowd is my biggest challenge. I stay because it’s close to my house which means I go regularly and it’s cheap. But I’m always looking for a new place to switch too. I’d pay more.

Expérience négative: I’ve been going to this gym for a while and it’s the most unclean, messy and disorganized gym I’ve gone to. At every time I go in the washroom’s are always out of toilet paper and hand soap… I’ve gone to other c16 and they are so much more clean and organized and let me say the staff is actually friendly unlike them here. I went up to a staff member today asking why there was 5 of them sanding around not doing their jobs when it needs to be cleaned and they said “I just did a 15 min jungle run and it was fine” first of all no it wasn’t I tripped 4 times and almost fell over equipment not put away properly and then they still proceeded to stand there and do nothing. I even put some of the equipment away myself as it was a tripping hazard as I tripped over it and let them know that I shouldn’t be doing their job for them. I’m very disappointed with what they said as they could have been like “I’m sorry we will definitely get on that.” But instead they did the opposite. I would genuinely like to see improvements and I’ve been going here for over 2 years and it just seems to be getting worse

Expérience négative: This location is always way too busy (strongly recommend avoiding this place around 5pm), and is almost always under some amount of maintenance. The direct entrance has been 'under maintenance' for over a year, and the staff do nothing to discourage people dropping weights, not wiping the machines, or kicking the punching bags. Additionally; they seem a little cavalier about how they charge for items. I got billed for a bottle of water that I didn't buy and had to bring it up with them to clarify that they just billed something to my account without my interaction. While not my personal experience, a friend of mine asked about a personal trainer and what the pricing might be, and the staff refused to give him a price unless he 'committed to signing an agreement' first. He was literally asking for a price, but was made to feel like he was wasting the staff's time if he was just window shopping; which is such a crazy way to treat someone who wants help. All in all... I'd recommend getting a membership elsewhere.

Expérience négative: The worst gym I’ve been to. Had a chance to experience this gym with a free trial for a few days and I didn’t even want to use the full free trial. First of all I came in wanting to know more about the gym. Maybe a quick tour and know about the price plans and promotions. But all I got was the staff asking me to fill out the form on the iPad and they gave me a card for the free trial. No tour of the gym. No explanation of plans. I had to ask where the change rooms were. The equipment is old. Makes noise when you use it. Staff do not walk around and clean the machines. Too crowded. Not enough equipment. Lots of out of order machines. Gym needs an upgrade.

Expérience négative: I’m an American and have been to a numerous gyms in the states and some in Canada and by far this is the worst gym. I’m an East Asian so don’t get me wrong (I’m not a racist it’s purely from my experience). If you were born and raised in Canada, take this into consideration because I’m just really pissed up and definitely going to cancel. The other day there was a Caucasian lady trainer put her stuff to train a client and she’s been there more than 10 mins and even was talking to client next to the machine, suddenly an Indian guy came up and said he was using the machine after 10 mins? So nice lady even said sorry and let him use it. Today I was using a tricep machine and that machine was vacant for five mins so I did two sets suddenly an Indian guy came up all the way from barbell training area said he was using it. I told him you need to be around you can’t just come after five or ten mins later claiming the machine. Also people always ask other people how long they will be on it. There are absolutely NO North American manners and I never encountered these kind of trash manners in the states. In the past they asked to share the machine and now they switched the tactic.

Machines won't work, Men's restroom is flooded with piss and people would just walk over it and onto the floor, the escalator has been broken since a year now, and it's super overly crowded. Expérience négative: Will rate a zero if I could. They charged me 24 sessions, instead of the 12 that I availed (My friend also availed the same 12 sesh package). Our trainer further confirmed this and said that she will ask management to correct the records. Management still charged me for 24 sessions. I tried reaching out but was only met with wrong information and incompetence. I initially reached out via email (May 21) and received no replies. When I talked the staff, I was directed to Nishant Bharya, a manager. He promised to process my refund via check. He said that this will take time but I will receive my check at the end of July. On the third week of July, I called the gym and talked to Jessica. She informed me that they are processing my check and that they just didn't receive it yet. However, that was a lie as I received a call, and email from Nishant Bharya that he didn't process my check. He only processed it last July 24, a full month after I reported and talked to him about the incident. I later received a call from Sanchit Sachdeva, general manager, that he will process my refund via credit card and it will only take 2-3 working days. When I followed up a few days later, he then informed me that refund must be done via checks. This process will take another 3 weeks. It's already July. I have yet received any additional updates. They don't even pickup my calls anymore. Edit: I got my check last Tuesday. The day after I wrote this post.

Expérience fantastique: I joined this gym a couple of months ago with the intention of loosing weight and eating healthy. I have been training with Gurinder Sodha and he is one of the best trainers so far. He is very committed, discipline and takes pride in his work. Expérience négative: I have requested to change my home gym and the receptionist told me that they can help me only if I update to VIP, otherwise I have to write and email to request to chang the home gym and yes I did but it has been over one month , no respond, no updating from my request, I don’t know why so difficult to change the home gym, either they lie to me that they can’t do it at reception or they just don’t care the customer I pay all my fee but don’t get proper service, the worst gym i have ever, and now I still need to pay all the fee but they don’t change my home gym, can someone tell me what’s proper process for changing the home gym!!!! Club16!!!! Based on this experience, would like to cancel my membership, if anyone can explain how toncancle the membership here cuz I don't trust the staff anymore. There are more good quality gyms in Vancouver.

Expérience négative: Avoid at all costs!! I am absolutely disgusted with the employees of this gym. I work remotely out of town and was visiting my parents last November for 1 month and wanted to use a gym while in town. I went to club 16 and explained to the sales associate my situation and that I wanted to pay for 1 month entry to the gym (I move around a lot for work and do this at gyms quite often). I told them I would be leaving in December so did NOT want any more than one month. The sales associate seemingly understood my request and was happy to sign me up. When I went to pay I enquired why the price was only reflective of 2 weeks and he said they can only take payment by-weekly so I’d have to pay in 2 parts. I proceeded to use the gym for said month, and then left town (never used the gym again). Fast forward to May, I’m working up the coast of BC, I check my credit card statement on my seldomly used card and notice I’m still being charged for club 16! I’m confused and shocked, as I didn’t knowingly sign up for a continuous memberships. I call the location, speak to a woman and tell her my situation, she tells me that I probably signed up for a continuous contract and that she can’t help me, she says the manager isn’t in and gives me the phone number to head office. I call head office, at first she seems very understanding and helpful, then tells me I need to speak to the manager of the location. I ask her to please get him to email me as I don’t have consistent phone reception where I currently live. These 2 phone calls were on May 17th. I don’t hear back at all until May 31st from Sanchit, the manager, to which he tells me basically verbatim what the woman on the phone the first time tells me (I apparently signed up for a continuous never ending contract and never called them to cancel). He then includes in his email… to “let me know if I want to cancel”?!?!?! As if my 3 attempts to inform the club I didn’t live there and hadn’t used the gym since November and didn’t want to be charged wasn’t enough for them to cancel my membership?!?!?!? I then respond saying I think the sales associate made a mistake when I signed up as I DID NOT knowingly sign up for more than one singular month, and that of course I want to cancel, that should have been done the first time I called! I then notice I get CHARGED AGAIN ON THE 31st?!?!?! AS IF HE WAITED TO RESPOND TO MY EMAIL UNTIL HE KNEW I WOULD BE CHARGED AGAIN!!! He never responded to that email, I followed up informing him that I’d been charged again, still no response ! It’s nearing the next “scheduled payment” and who wants to bet that I won’t hear back from them before that. Just awful disgusting customer service. This gym does not care about their members in any way shape or form. I know people in the fitness industry and know that their pay structure and bonuses are based on how many members they have every month. It is financially beneficial for to them to do anything in their power to keep charging as many people as possible despite the ethics of the situation. I will gladly pay more for a private gym who cares any their members. Do your self a favour and NEVER give these people your credit card. **Update** I ended up calling my credit card to refute the charges since Sanchit not once even acknowledged my concerns and took 1-2 weeks to respond to every email I sent. Then Sanchit included in his email that I now owe them money! Now Club 16 is trying to ruin my credit after signing me up for a service I didn’t ask for

Expérience négative: In May 2024, they put up an offer to encourage members to leave a 5-star rating in exchange for a massage, and I cannot stand the hypocrisy of this offer. Seeing them actively chase reviews rather than trying to better their declining establishment propelled me to write this review. I am an active member of this gym and have been going to this establishment regularly for over 8 years and am a morning gym-goer, usually going between 5-7am, depending on hours. Unfortunately, this gym has become a crowded, disorganized place with a long list of broken equipment and completely uninterested staff. The issues in question: 1. Gym equipment is left everywhere, creating a messy and unreliable environment. I’ve added photos to this review as proof, but essentially, it’s become troublesome to find basic equipment. I arrive at the dumbbell rack at 5am and find almost 1/4 of the whole rack missing. Dumbbells and plates aren’t put back on their racks and are scattered around the floor. Bands and ropes are left anywhere. While this is partially due to the client’s lack for gym etiquette, it’s also a huge failure for staff for not even attempting to organize the space. I have visited 4 other Club16 locations and I never saw the level of mess at the other locations. Note: I’ve watched 2 different trainers leave a HOST of equipment scattered on the floor after a session with clients: battle ropes splayed across the floor as a tripping hazard, jump ropes and dumbbells sprinkled around a communal open area. This demonstrates that staff lead this indifferent attitude about the state of the gym. After all, if the staff doesn’t care, why should we? 2. Staff is indifferent to clients and would rather just talk amongst themselves. I now actively avoid going to staff unless absolutely required. The breaking point came when I went to the desk to ask for a resistance band (they are kept in the front desk). I asked for a band and the staff member sighed at me as I had interrupted a conversation with their colleague. They checked for a band, didn’t find any, and waved me away, telling me to “check the other desk” in the gym. I hesitated, as I thought I misunderstood; surely they didn’t want me to go riffling through a staff desk… but that’s exactly what they meant. It felt like I was being told to do their job for them. I decided to opt out of the resistance band that day, and haven’t ask for one since. Note: I’ve seen the quality of trainers decline in a similar way - they’re more interested in their phones & colleagues than their clients. 3. Broken equipment is becoming excessive. I am fairly flexible for this type of thing, as I’ve come here for years and there is usually something needing repairs, but with 3-4 pieces constantly needing repairs, it’s starting to feel like a problem that isn’t being addressed properly. Things remain broken for long periods of time. This point may be simply a result of COVID strains on part manufacturers, but with the state being so much worse than 6 or 7 years ago, I get the need to mention it. 4. One of two entrances has become obsolete. Similar to the point above, this might be due to other circumstances, but I need to point it out regardless. This gym has two access points, with one being direct access from rooftop parking. This was my preferred parking spot for years as it bypasses traveling through the mall. Unfortunately for me and any other rooftop-inclined clients, the escalator has been broken for well over 2 years now, effectively rendering this entrance useless. I’ve included a photo taken in June of 2024. 5. Fees have steadily increased over the years. It’s to be expected, but the monthly fee has increased faster than usual, and the annual fee has jumped up with it. It remains a great price compared to many other gym options out there, but this aggressive increase to fees and stark decrease to gym quality is to be noted. My gym going experience has declined slowly throughout the years, and I’d recommend ppl to try to other gyms in their area - the Club16 in Coquitlam is fantastic.

Expérience négative: My dissatisfaction and disappointentment from the gym. I asked for the belt from the trainers so that I can do squats properly as per my requirements. But, what I was answered is that belts will not be provided because of hygiene issues. I told them heavy weight can't be done without belts and if there is any hygiene issue, then multiple belts should be there to use. Yet, none of my requests were considered by the staff there and I had to compromize on my leg day. Just a day ago, gym member is charged with a maintenance fee of $50 and we are paying our bi-weekly attendance charges too. Not only this, the all equipments have some problems, taking as an example, the left handle of leg extension machine is torned, other machines are entirely unlubricated and difficult to handle. I have worked as a Personal Trainer in Anytime Fitness India and even there, the facilities provided to clients were top-tier. From belts to machines and training, customers are given full worth of their money. Sadly, I do not expect it from a city located in Canada to disappoint me in providing good customer services. In such a case, I demand that either they should utilize the maintenance charges for upgrading their machinery and providing belts or refund my full fee including membership charges, weekly fees and the maintenance fee which I have paid already. Huge disappointment!

Expérience fantastique: The first thing I like about the gym is a location that is very favorable to everyone. The second thing is the parking, which is free for everyone. Even if you don't have a car you can come there by bus. Membership is also very cheap as compared to other gyms, likely 20-26$ monthly , and it is also the biggest gym nearby, which also has free weight and all the equipment is well maintained. During peak hours, it's very crowded. Literally, there's is a long queue for every single machine. Very welcoming staff and also well trained l staff . The gym is also known for its cleanliness. It's a great place for fitness enthusiasts. I really recommend this place.

Her technique to injury rehab, customised training and very importantly empathy, makes her very unique. Expérience négative: After you get a coach, they give you a test class to see your fat rate% And their coaches quit after 2-3classes. And you start over again, and you realize you get no where after 4-6months. And when you try to quit they will try to scam you for money. Cancellation penalty is at large. Expérience négative: I would give less than one star if possible. Gym equipment is constantly out of order and they never have any fitness bands to use. If I have to pay a hefty amount of money every month for the membership and then buy my own damn fitness bands then what the hell is the point of this ?. Get some fitness band in your so called “gym”. This is literally illegal to charge people these prices and not provide basic freaking equipment. A damn fitness band would cost a few bucks like what the hell?. I am making this a serious complaint. I’m not buying fitness bands and then paying for a stupid membership. You guys don’t even have equipment. Let me not even start with customer service. It’s garbage.

Expérience fantastique: Been coming here for a couple of months now and it’s a good gym. There is enough equipment and space for most types of workout. Plus i’d like to take this moment to appreciate Hriday Goel for his integrity. I lost my gold bracelet during a work out and already accepted the fact that it’s probably stolen. But Hriday was at the front desk and upon contacting him, he safely returned it to me which i truly appreciate. I also want to appreciate the club16 staff as they are very friendly and also responsive towards complaints on broken equipment and overall member needs. Would recommend this place.

Expérience négative: Dirty washrooms and changerooms, and no customer service at all. the website advertised free for 1st month, but manager said the offer is over now, inspite of it showing on their website. lol don't waste your money here! I never signed a contract here but they still charge me biweekly. When I emailed them to stop charging me, they called me to say you need to come in person and sign the cancellation, and still pay for another month!

Expérience négative: Rip off Alert!! This gym was welcoming in the starting, but my experience soured as I tried to terminate my membership. They hit me with a $77 annual fee (even when I won't be using the facility for the whole year) and $12 for extra (when I am already charged twice for the month). Fairness is a one-way street here. Over the long term, the lack of fairness became more evident. The men's washroom has been under construction for a considerable time, forcing us to use outside facilities. The stair elevator has been "temporarily out of service" for almost a year, and it's about time they label it as "permanently out of service." Machines closures for repairs are too frequent, making it challenging to have a consistent workout. I joined under the premise of functioning amenities, but the reality is different. Despite most members being men, they closed the only men's washroom. Instead of compensating members for the inconveniences, they seem more interested in squeezing every penny when you decide to leave. Businesses should be built on fairness, but this gym's practices don't align with that principle. It's disappointing when they expect members be more understanding for their shortcomings, but show little consideration in return. Good luck building a mansion with my extra $89!

Expérience négative: My worst gym experience till to date, primarily due to the staff, especially the personal trainers, was incredibly disappointing. Their attitude was rude and unhelpful, leaving much to be desired in terms of customer service. Moreover, the gym management even went so far as to lock Inbody measurements machine, giving the impression that members were there merely to observe rather than to engage in a productive workout. The equipment maintenance was subpar, with loose barbells posing a safety concern on multiple occasions. Additionally, the lack of beginner-friendly equipment, such as hyperextension or supported pull-up machines, further detracted from the overall experience. My advice: stay away from this gym.

Expérience négative: Hello, I'm a Club 16 member. I have frank criticism of the staff and the gym's amenities. I've been coming to this gym for almost six months. I only joined this gym since it's nearest to my house and I can escape traffic on the roads. However, the issues that have been there for the past six months are now unacceptable. They don't care about their gym equipment, to start with; fixing a broken piece of equipment can take months. The men's restrooms in the changing room were closed recently due to a lack of hygiene. Thus, there is just one restroom available for males to use. More than 150 people are working out in the evening. Everyone is really miserable. It has now been over a week. The restrooms haven't been fixed yet. I spoke with one of their employees, and I was shocked by his incredibly naive response. Because they don't care, the crew members are in the gyms and are generally unapproachable with any problems. Staff members are indolent; they constantly make jokes next to the front counter. In the gym, they are just bodies. Additionally, despite the fact that they don't maintain anything, they charge the subscribers annual maintenance costs. Even with so many members, it appears that they are hoarding money for personal use. I'm going to be leaving this gym. Furthermore, I strongly advise against joining this gym.

Expérience fantastique: After joining Club 16 in Tsawwassen, I decided to get a personal trainer as well. Darya is the fitness manager at the Tsawwassen location so I chose her. What a fantastic decision. Not only is she knowledgeable and experienced but she takes the time to understand my personal limitations. I’m 63 with osteoarthritis in numerous joints. What Darya didn’t know she researched my condition to learn the best way to work with each area correctly and safely. Many trainers would just plow through. I know, I’ve worked with many and have belonged to numerous gyms in the past, and often ego’s get in the way. Not this time. I highly recommend this club and this trainer if you want to pursue your fitness goals.

Expérience négative: Decent gym, the equipment variety is good and availability is decent if you come in on weekends. My only gripe is the locker room is always unkempt and dirty. Washroom stall and urinals are never clean and constantly smells like dried up piss. Lockers are never cleaned as well. I always see the staff just bickering or do nothing but stand at the front with nothing to do, perhaps one of the things they could do is maintain the cleanliness of the gym?

Expérience négative: First impression was horrible. My wife and I walked into the gym to clarify several questions we had before joining in. There were two employees at the reception at the time. Whatever we asked, their answer was “Check online”. It happened to every question we had. Either they have not been trained properly or they are just fed up of their jobs.

Expérience négative: I love this gym! I go to the Surrey location by Central City. What I don't like is that the showers don't have anti slip mats inside the showers nor rubber hand safety grab bars if case someone falls when taking a shower. I have see quite a few seniors in this location and this is a huge risk management mistake! I hope you have a robust liability insurance in case of an accident. It will be very hard to prove they took the needed risk mitigation actions when someone goes there to check on behalf of a plaintiff!

Expérience négative: Poor communication and lack of customer service. The front desk staff will watch you walk in and go up to the counter but will happily ignore you until you say something. I went in a second time and the exact same thing happened. I was ignored until I prompted them to pay attention. The person who was supposed to speak with me showed up and then gave another cold shoulder. Tried to arrange a meeting with a personal trainer and the lack of follow up and last minute messaging was very frustrating. I should have given up here sooner.

Expérience positive: Normally I like working out here but with the summer heat I feel there is no short of air flow or ac normally I enjoy my PT work outs but with the lack of air conditioning it’s to hot to be pushed to my limits there should some sort of change for the summer months at least

Expérience fantastique: I started training with Kaashi a month before with a hope to change my body and bring to the best shape of my life he got me lean within few sessions my strength has been up with liftings he also focused on my flexibility and mobility at the same time it was amazing experience with him training

Expérience positive: I joined this gym few months ago and really love the new machines. My Trainer Courtney is a Amazing trainer. She is full of knowledge. She helped me alot in working out with right techniques. I have chronic pains in my shoulders & neck & She taught me some really good exercises that helped me alot in my everyday routine. I would highly recommend her. She's very professional & kind towards her clients.

Expérience positive: For context, I've been working out for about 9 years and I've been going to this gym just over a year. There are some pros and cons that I think justify the rating I have given. Pros: - Equipment variety: 6 squat racks (2 with deadlift platforms) + hex bars, an adequate amount of benches, and DBs up to 95lbs. Also new plate-loaded machines are quite nice. - The value of the membership is pretty good to get access to the above equipment. - The convenience / accessibility of this gym in proximity to my work is also a bonus. Cons: - I'm not satisfied with the customer service / friendliness on display at this gym. Only one staff member will routinely say 'hi' to me, the rest are either talking amongst themselves and are disinterested in greeting members unless they seem to know you. - The men's bathroom is in an inconvenient location and is quite gross. STRONG smell of urine. I don't have issues with sweat smell (it's a gym - people sweat) but the cleanliness of the men's bathroom is disgusting. Pretty sure it's the urinals - maybe time for an upgrade? - Gym members constantly leaving weights on barbells is also very common at this gym, which can be frustrating especially at peak times to identify which pieces of equipment are in use. - Finding certain plates can be difficult as well, particularly 5, 10, and 25lb weights. Perhaps the gym could invest in more 35lb plates which would help free up some of the 10s and 25s? Overall I think it's a decent enough gym, but there's lots of room for improvement.

Expérience négative: Please take the time to read this review to avoid unnecessary stress and mistreatment. I visited this location to get a membership in 2022 when I just moved to BC. The gentleman who assisted me was very nice but explained that they had no access cards at the moment. I returned a second time and asked about my access card and said I could go in no problem. The third time I went I was told I couldn’t have access without having an access card. At the time I was going through difficult times as one of my family member passed away. I needed to fly back and forth to Montreal to take care of family affairs so the amount of stress on my shoulders was enormous. I called head office later on and they said they would transfer me to the manager of the location. When I tried explaining myself to the lady, she said that my story was absolutely not true and that her employees would never do such a thing(she basically called a member a liar, how unprofessional….). She would not let me finish a full sentence without cutting me off, no idea was she was so defensive but it seems like this location gets a lot of bad reviews so they feel guilty about it. At this point I couldnt have access to the gym but kept getting charged. I asked the head office if they could please make sure I get an access card and if it would be possible for them to start the actual membership once that card would be in my possession to avoid getting declined access. They said they would transfer to to the location manager to discuss this but like I explained before she was very condescending and just hung up on me. I tried going to the location two more times but again I got brushed off. I consider my request to be very reasonable, you provide me proper access and I pay you guys for the service once I get the physical card. However it seems like their costumer service skills are non-existent. Please save yourself and run. I have been working out since I am 16 years old and never had to deal with a gym staff that is so unprofessional and condescending. It seems like they wanted to scam me by signing this contract and not giving me an actual access card. This screams discrimination. This is definitely a targeted situation and I refused to he treated in that way.

Expérience fantastique: I've shared a previous review already through another account of mine, and I just wanted to update about my opinions on Club 16. After going to other gyms and comparing this gym to others, I'm proud to say I love this gym. There's a great community of beginner and experienced gym-goers that make this a comfortable space to work towards your fitness goals. It is a huge facility, which makes it ideal for busier days, as there is almost always something to do. For the price, it has a great value, offers a women's only area (which is awesome for when the main part of the gym gets overwhelming), and has a great network of personal trainers (shout out Sita!). There are a couple of things that I wish would get improved, such as the escalator for the rooftop parking to get fixed, and for an increase in benches suited for the bench press. All in all, I've been going to this gym for over a year now, and I love it.

Expérience négative: They are making people fool. I joined at in November. I did cancel my personal trainer after 6days. They told me if i will cancel it in 10 days then no any fees. But that time they don’t take my sign on cancellation documents. Yesterday they cut my 200$ total 675$ of year for personal trainer. Now they blame me you didn’t sign on cancellation documents. It was not my fault they should take sign when i came in person there. I am very disappointed from club 16. Manager and team member are not ready to accept their fault.

Expérience négative: I would like to give this gym zero star rating . I signed up 3 weeks ago and i cancel my membership. Then ended up paying extra money to them . Just because the person who signed me up never explained anything to me . I do get it they send contract email but when person sign up for membership in person employees should be explain them everything. The person who signed me up he haven’t said single word regarding cancellation and that’s actually true . I called the club and I don’t know who i talked i think he was manager he was so rude . He keep on saying you should read the contract. So what if someone read contract they send after getting membership then what about the money person paid to sign up . one person deserved to have clear information about cancellation and annual fee because they are paying for their earning. I must say this needs to work on their employee’s training. I would be never come to this gym terrible staff . Specially the manager who handles my enquiry . He needs to learn customer service .

Expérience négative: Totally Bad experience, if there is an option for 0 rating then definately i will be pick it. staff is providing wrong information and not helping. Two weeks ago i asked for our membership and they said yes it cancel and no due payment for you. And still they are charging payment from us. My husband sent email them for cancelation and never went after. You guys doing fraud with people and i will never recommend to anyone to this Gym.

Expérience négative: Don’t make a mistake going at this location. You can find a better gym. Poor staff and equipments plus shady policies and don’t even get me started on the timings. All the best.
