Expérience positive: Many machines but many people Siting there using their cells phone and I had to wait until they finish with the cellphone 10 minutes until they continuo doing workout

Expérience fantastique: good experience but needs more equipment, pretty good in terms of hours and prices so I wouldn't complain.

Expérience négative: Fit4Less is a much better option when you're on a tight budget because they allow you to use a friend's pass. I tried to use my friend's pass here, but they wouldn't let me enter. Remember when the TTC didn’t allow transferable metro passes? How times have changed.

Expérience positive: Pros: • Great location, suitable for all ages. • Friendly and helpful staff. Cons: • The space is limited for all the activities, and the training equipment is too close together.

Expérience négative: I am extremely dissatisfied with the service at Planet Fitness. I have been trying to cancel my membership online for almost a year, but every time I reached out, I was told it wasn't possible. I was forced to call or go into a location, which was inconvenient and frustrating. Today, after almost a year of struggle, I spoke to a representative who casually mentioned that I could have cancelled online this entire time. This is unacceptable and feels like either poor communication or deliberate misinformation. The lack of transparency and support in handling such a basic request is beyond frustrating. I would not recommend Planet Fitness to anyone based on this terrible experience.

Expérience fantastique: First of all I love the app, with a wide variety of simple routines to follow by different trainers. The atmosphere is casual, which is nice. I'm able to book a tan or hydro massage in seconds once I arrive. Even when the place is full, people are polite and it's not difficult to find machines/equipment to use. I was also able to visit as a guest with my partner before deciding to purchase my own membership. Thank you Planet Fitness!

Expérience négative: I find most of the staff to be miserable and not helpful or friendly , just today I walk in book the bed for 212 pm guy tells me I’m good to go in bed one I walk in get undressed lay in bed and press start and nothing , so I’m calling desk cause I’m in boxers and no answer get dressed , and come out and wait 5 mins I tell guy it’s me calling looks at me gives me a head shake and says really , and I tell him what happened and that was him that booked me in and looks me in eye and says he didn’t , either way I didn’t get to tan today , seriously thinking of going to Yonge location always sweat left on equipment and ya can’t say anything cause it’s a non judgemental well let me judge it’s a effing joke

Expérience positive: It's a big gym and it's always clean. But it's quite busy at times. I basically never go in the evenings during the week because it's too busy and lots of people sitting on their phones on the machines.

Expérience négative: These people won't cancel your account and charge you money against your will. I also have multiple NSF fees over this. Their staff is rude, incompetent, and unhelpful. Never go here! 0 out of 5

Expérience négative: I am pleased with the cost for membership and the facilities are relatively clean. There is a total la k of free weights and a ridiculously disproportionate amount of cardio equipment to weights. There is never enough free weights available while the majority of the cardio equipment is unused. It would be a great idea to take out some of the cardio equipment and put in a few squat racks, benches and dumbbells.

Expérience fantastique: Black Card Club is considered one of the best clubs in Ontario. Especially in Toronto. I hope everyone will visit and participate.

Expérience positive: Decent sized gym. However, it can get very busy unless you go in early in morning. Plenty of cardio machines but limited free weight section and even more scarce when it comes to benches (always occupied even early in the morning and there's only 4). Other than that a nice, casual atmosphere and serves its purpose.

Expérience négative: Female staff member walking around telling everyone it's 12pm, and to "Get out!" Gym is closed! Like what is this, 3am at a club with a bunch of drunk people, or a health and fitness facility?! What the hell... I guess this is what you get for a budget discount gym in Toronto. The PF in the US are wayyyy better. Won't be returning to this one.

Expérience négative: Do not recommend the gym. I trained there for 4 months during my stay in Toronto and there was not a single day that the gym was not very busy. Making my workout sesh last 2 hours instead of 1. Also, the lack of gym accessories, it turned out that I had to buy, like ankle straps, lifting ones etc. not to say about the amount of Smiths, only 4 of them, when they could easily put more of it across the gym.

Expérience fantastique: My Planet Fitness is excellent. Lots of equipment so I never have to wait and it's only 10 or 15 minutes from my home. I also find the staff very friendly. My only suggestion/"bug-a-boo" is that the dumbbells in the back corner need to be labelled more clearly. Everyone --- and I mean everyone --- has to squint and lean over to read what the actually weight is. It would be very easy to put larger stickers on each end of the dumbbells to indicate the weight.

Expérience négative: planet fitness’s customer service is worst of all. These people are scammers. I requested to cancel my membership in person and I was convinced that it was canceled but 6 months later I check my transactions and they were charging me the whole time. I called again to confirm that I do not wish to continue with this gym as I moved out of that area 6 months ago and they said alright your membership has been terminated. And your charges will be refunded which never happened. Now three months later I am still being charged monthly and an annual fee on top of that. There should be a legal action against this company.

Expérience négative: Never trust this gym. They will find all kinds of ways to take money from you. First, when you go to sign the contract, they won't show you the full details. They just answer some questions verbally, then ask for your bank account and get you to sign on a pad. The real contract with all the details is only sent to your email afterward, so you never have a chance to see the details before signing. I faced two problems. First, they charged me an extra $10 for a late fee, even though it was their fault that they couldn't take money from my bank account. When I complained to them, they made excuses and refused to refund me. After half year, I decided to cancel my membership out of frustration. An employee told me that I should cancel on the last day of the contract so I could use the gym until the end. I did as he said and come back on the last day, but after finishing all the paperwork, he told me that I had to pay for the next month too, because the contract says I need to give 10 days’ notice. I was angry and asked him why he didn't say that earlier, but he denied everything and just said I should follow the contract. That’s when I realized they always get you to sign first, then show you the contract, and only then tell you about the extra charges. I tried to stop the payments by contacting my bank, but they said it wasn't possible because the gym could take money directly from my account unless I changed my bank account number. So, I ended up paying another month to this awful gym. The staff of this store are very despicable, they are all scammers

Expérience fantastique: Mimosa helped me to join the club, help me through the process and explain to me the whole process, she was amazing thank you so much Spa room is super cool

Expérience négative: Staff is rude and unhelpful, they seem annoyed when asking a simple question. I dread having to ask a question because they make me feel unwelcome. It’s so dirty, the weights leave black marks on my clothes and the floor is dirty as well (normal). It’s so hot in there and constantly smells because of how hot it is in there. It’s almost steamy because it’s so humid.

Expérience négative: Took advantage of people during the pandemic. They have terrible non-existent customer service. Archaic cancellation policy if you can’t appear in person. I have moved three times since signing up and they have been leaching ever since. If you have options, Anytime Fitness is better value. Currently, at Movati. It is an issue of phishing versus actually being a proper service. To take advantage of people who have lives outside of the gym is incredibly weak.

Expérience négative: I travel often, and have used Planet Fitness locations all over North America, and this is one of the dirtiest, unkept locations I have been to. Dirt and garbage on the floor of the locker room, equipment not returned where it belongs, and staff that just sit on the counter and look at their phones. I know Planet Fitness can be much better. This was very disappointing.

The staff members are awesome and committed to ensuring members have a pleasant experience. Love the convenience of coming anytime of the day (24/7) especially on statutory holidays. Oh and did I mention the membership fees…very budget friendly and competitive. Overall Planet Fitness is the best bang for your buck hands down!!!

Expérience négative: Scammed me of 33$, went to this gym 7 months and it was alright. Went to cancel in person as they dont allow over the phone or online. They charged me the full amount for another month as i didnt come 7 days before, which i was never notifed of. A month later, my membership was never canceled, had to phone them and they cancelled it over the phone and said they were going to charge me another 33$. Even though i already cancelled a month ago. The person on the phone even asked me for 10/10 rating on email review after being told i will be getting charged AGAIN. Talked to them on the phone a few days later, and the manager didnt even talk to me themselves and sent an employee to tell me they wont refund me. That there in no proof i was at the gym, i told them they can check the camera as i know the date and time and they wont even do that. Emailed days ago and no response. Now i am filing dispute with my bank so thanks planet fitness. Will no longer be recommending people to this gym. Wanted to join back in the winter season and after this, no thanks I'm reallydisappointed

Expérience fantastique: Was having issues with payments and logins, Denzel took a very professional approach and manner of speaking, did his best to understand my situation, and resolved my issue easier and faster than I thought it was going to be, great employee. From what I saw amazing customer service and a professional manner of handling issues.

Expérience négative: Unprofessional liar at the front desk who lies about cancellation policies. No contract no commitment, cancel anytime you like. Been there few times asked a few times to cancel they said I need to go to my home club but i asked if i go before my next bill. They said I would be able to cancel but didn’t say that i have to pay extra one month bill. Cheap liars and needless to say unprofessional.

Expérience positive: More rope attachments, please! It's a silly thing for people to have to line up for when cables are free. I gave it 4 stars also because many of the machines don't have separate weights for the left and right side i.e. you risk having your stronger side do more of the work and thus train unevenly.

Expérience négative: PF is great overall, they’re individually operated and the 2 in Mississauga are 5/5. Compared to those, this is no stars; but overall a 1.5-2. The gym IS clean(ish), so I’ll give it that, proper AC and ventilation. BUT, the gym has such a poor layout. Idk why they have 100 of each kind of cardio machine, which I’ve barely seen anyone use. All the machines are so close together it feels like you’re working out in an airplane.To top everything off, the machines are BARELY lubed to the point 5lb probably feels like 10lb with the amount of strength you need to just pull the cable…

The help desk guy, Phinn, is especially supportive and always ready to assist. The 24/7 access and reasonable membership fees provide great value. Occasionally, there are waits for popular machines during peak hours, but overall, it's a supportive and affordable gym experience. Highly recommended!

Expérience positive: Place is great for my daily workouts. The staff are always cleaning or helping visitors out. Great amount of machines. Would be great to have a larger open space area to do classes. Few annoyances are the students free over the summer. It's a great incentive, but mildly inconsiderate to regular gym goers. I think it should be restricted to specific time slots? The change rooms are tough to navigate when it gets busy. The seating is sparse and lockers are so very narrow.

Expérience fantastique: Recently I had need of a gym to exercise in lieu of a terrible accident that involved multiple surgeries so I started checking around town to check he membership fees and features that the that fitness centers offer. By far planet fitness offers as well as features and equipment. They've had this reputation for many years and they have multiple locations all around town. I haven't registered yet but I plan to since one can acquire a membership there for about $15 a month. Also to the location that I chose is accessible by TTC 24 hours a day which is ideal for me since I've become a bit of a Nighthawk since the accident. What are the interesting features that they offer is your ability to bring a guest with you. Now not many fitness centers offer that feature. So if you're looking for the most bang for the buck in terms of fitness centers this is the place for you. I would recommend it highly in

Expérience négative: Can't even watch the Euro games while working out. Staff said they did not pay their Cable bill. Student allowed to workout for free during summer at the expense of paying customer. It's a battle trying to get a good workout when the facilities is tied up by the mass of students allow in. Poor management.

Expérience fantastique: The value really can't be beat. Equipment variety is good and the space is very clean. Good atmosphere that doesn't feel intimidating. If you're looking for somewhere to just put your head down and get through a gym session, you can't go wrong. Only downside is it can get a bit crowded at peak times.

Expérience négative: It's damn annoying that they don't do anything with people sitting on the machine (especially weight racks) and playing on their phones for 20 min. They have a giant lunk alarm but don't have any measure for controlling these kind of people? They could just put a sign on the mirror, saying 'no cellphone on the bench'.

The staff at the front desk said they don’t have barbells or a hip thrust machine, I walk in and there’s a FULL rack of barbells. The place also seems to not be cleaned often. Never coming to this location again.

Expérience positive: Planet is a good facility as long as the staff is friendly and welcoming. Machines are organized, clean and working. Washrooms could be better cleaned, but members could be less disgusting too - neither a realistic possibility!

Expérience fantastique: I had a very good experience continuing my training at planet fitness, I worked out mainly at the Galleria Mall unit in Toronto ON, amazing team, very helpful, I had to cancel because I'm going to be outside of Canada for a while and even canceling via phone call was quick , practical and well-oriented!! BEST FITNESS SPACE IN CANADA!

Expérience négative: Very congested , poor management . I literally saw people sitting and waiting for machines for 10-15 minutes. Then I decided to quit, all within 30 days. But surprise!! they deducted my next month money as well telling their automated billing cycle happens prior to 7days of month end. I called them to do a manual refund since I have only attended for less than 30 days. They refused!! So absolutely not worth it and totally unfair.

Expérience négative: staff needs more training on how to handle members who are aggressive and try to kick someone out of a machine(when they are legitimately working out and doing it in a timely manner). a guy kicked me out and after explaining that I am doing the circuit as well, and skipped other machines as they were other occupied or out service, and cant wait as I come here to get my workout done and move on with my day, this guy took the staff and staff came to me asked me if I knew how the circuit works and before I can even properly explain my self (which i think i didnt have too since they have cameras they can check it) guy who kicked me out of the equipment grew more upset, and was accusing me of not knowing how it works and me just jumping in. I left and was already upset as well as I did not want to deal with the individual. Staff was not properly trained to address the situation. I decided to leave. I guess the extra drive to the Gerrard location is going to be worth it. I see people on the circuit sitting on the machines with their phones but no staff batts an eye, and someone legitimately doing their work outs get batted on just cause they dont know to how to address the situation. Very upsetting

Expérience positive: Unfortunately some people that go there have no respect for others space. They walk through and interrupt the exercises of others without even realizing. This has nothing to do with the gym itself. They keep it clean the entire time.

Expérience négative: I’m considering canceling my membership because of these reasons. First off the staff is super amazing and nice, they’re not the issue. The gym is a swamp, the ac never seems to be working. The weight room is the size of a walmart change room, there’s never any room in there. Barely anything but cardio machines, which barely get used. They could take out half the bike machines/treadmills and expand the weight room. Wayyyy too many members go here, the gym is so small and you basically have to walk around for 10 minutes until a machine or weight becomes available.

Expérience négative: I'm not the one to write reviews but this gym is so scammy and I'm taking the time to let you know. When I signed up I specifically asked if I can pause my membership anytime and any reason which they assured me I would (as I travel often for long periods of time). When it came to it and I called them to pause they asked me why and I said I would be away. They then informed me their policy had changed and unless it's for medical or military reasons I can't pause. I inquired when this change occured and they couldn't give me an answer as obviously this was a scam and they didn't want to give the option to pause and if you cancel and start again they charge you the initial sign up fee of $49. Anyway eventually I decided to cancel and gave them a call and they told me I would have to come in person and sign documents!! As if any gym membership would require this??? However, when I signed in on their website (not app) I was able to cancel online. So this was another lie that they tell to stop you from cancelling or delay it to charge you more. The gym itself is fine and has nice equipment but it's the lies and scams of the establishment that was really annoying and turned me off to this gym. I don't recommend it...

Expérience négative: Bad experience visiting Planet Fitness at DuPont location. I asked the staff for membership prices . The staff was not friendly, not welcoming for any of my question. I walked away. I am going to join a place with welcome staff and good customer service

Expérience négative: Too much people almost the whole day, in order to avoid waiting long periods of time for a machine you have to go very late night after 11pm, also people sometimes uses a machine for 30+ min, there is no control.

Expérience positive: A good affordable gym. Lots of machines and stations, constant cleaning, rarely crowded, no attitude clientele and staff.

Expérience négative: I have been going to this gym for a little while now and have noticed that a lot of people hang out on their phones while on the equipment. I find this to be rather annoying, I mean I am there to do my daily workout in a timely fashion but when people are taking up the machines without actually using them then it is frustrating. Recently , January 11 to be exact, there was a lady on a machine for about 30 minutes, on her phone! I observed someone asking her how long she was going to be and this created a confrontation where she had to actually be physically restrained. She started swearing and getting quite aggressive. This lady should have her membership privileges revoked but I seen nothing like that actually occur. This boils down to a safety concern, when you have paying members that are suddenly faced with threats then management needs to intervene as this is a matter of public safety . I am a family man that takes this kind of thing seriously... I am strongly considered going elsewhere if this kind of behaviour is considered acceptable and there are no repercussions for it. I come to work out, that's what I pay for.. not to watch people play on their phones and be inconsiderate of other members time. Step up management and do your jobs please!

Expérience fantastique: This gym is always clean and mostly well organized just like any other competitors that they have. The staff are always busy working and organizing the space which is nice. It’s a very good price point for the stuff that you get, the only thing I wish planet fitness had also was a sauna. The staff is what really keeps me coming back to this location.. Tiana and Richie are lots of fun! They keep me smiling and happy coming to the gym. Tiana especially is a very attentive and has solved many of my requests that I’ve had. She knows the place like the back of her hand which is really nice. Thank you to the planet fitness staff of the DuPont location for always making it great !

Expérience fantastique: Two levels and very friendly staff. Large change room, lots of marble at this location. Main floor has alot of foot traffic past the main part of the gym with windows on two walls. but thats the location being downtown and close too the subway. This location has lots of space on main floor

Expérience négative: Terrible staff, I tried to communicate to solve an issue while she was ignoring me with a bitchily smile. Her name was Rome. She should learn some professionalism. I asked her colleague to book a total enhancement room and she told me to book myself from the screen. I did and it was confirmed on the screen. Then, Rome came up to knock the door with rapid fire mode while the section was processing. Like, anyone can get out without wearing clothes. The communication was awful and one-sided. So annoying to deal with this kind of stuff... FYI, I have been in 5 different branches and this was the worst among them in terms of stuff quality.

Expérience fantastique: Very clean and well maintained gym. Broken equipment is fixed within a reasonable time. Staff are diligent in filling spray bottles and paper towels, and putting away equipment. Machines are updated and the layout is tweaked periodically to improve the flow and experience. Gymgoers are typically friendly, nonjudgmental and accommodating.

Expérience négative: Won’t let me cancel my membership without being in person or sending them a handwritten letter by mail, seems absolutely ridiculous in the year 2023, and is clearly a ploy to keep people from cancelling their memberships. They claimed it was for security purposes as anyone could fake being you over email, yet you can E-Sign on a mortgage. Extremely thinly veiled scam, nice work guys. Pretty mid gym as well, no bench press or squat racks other than smith machines.

They make each visit special and they are lovely to deal with which makes me want to keep coming back. The gym has great equipment and it is affordable but the people who are there to greet me is really what makes me want to come back and recommend it to some of my friends who now go there as well.
