Expérience positive: Good facility. Good equipment. My issue is, last month, they sold me towel service with a new membership, knowing full well they don't offer towel service. Definitely bad business practice. I am unable to remove the service from my account online. Now, I'll need to spend hours calling them or just canceling the membership. LA fitness reached out to rectify this issue. They removed the unavailable service from my account and issued a refund. Hopefully, they'll fix the issue when joining online in the very near future.

The gym isn’t as clean as it should be, and it gets very crowded, which impacts the workout experience. Be cautious of the high ratings—I was once asked to hand over my phone to give them a 5-star review. If you have other gym options, I’d suggest checking those out first.

Expérience négative: ATTENTION LADIES: I have witnessed a Male employee not follow protocol when entering the "Women Only" area. I personally find this incredibly triggering for my PTSD. If you are worried about men just walking into the womens only area as though it's a "coed space", then avoid this gym. When I confronted him, he was dismissive and disrespectful. I left and will never return.

Expérience négative: I would have given good rating for the gym. But Their honestly is zero in the personal training. My friend have taken the personal training session which was said that montly basis needs to be paid. But she just told she is planning to take may be 5 or 6 months. But since its montly basis she can cancel it with 90 plus taxes. so we agreed which was ok deal. but now since due to some issues user tried to cancel it in 3 or 4 months now they charnged her 50% of remaining amout sayng that it was in contract for 6 momths. Well they never communicated such things and now they just want to get money for nothing. I feel like very unethical. I am just going to write that and would never suggest personal training in this gym to any of my connections for sure. would suggest all users before taking personal training clear things they wont say first but they will do this thing definatly to you as well. better to be cautious than get fooled.

Expérience négative: This gym is highly toxic and if one of the trainers asks you out and you say no, he'll rage yell at you like a psychopath and they will dismiss that and protect him from consequences instead of dealing it appropriately. They don't care about conflict of interest so if the trainer is an incel who's been rejected and tries to manipulate you no one will care. If you value your mental health you won't go here.

Expérience négative: I lose faith in humanity when I come here. The equipment is ok but the members are inconsiderate, never put weights away, and only come here to relax on a bench for half an hour.

Expérience négative: Hear me out, I’ve been a member since late 2019 but for myself, and I believe I can speak for other consistent members as well, this gym has gone nothing but downhill. To start, the staff are exceptional. All sales staff and trainer staff are kindhearted, passionate and have never failed to fulfill their duties. Shoutout to Kaz, Shar, Brendan, Samreen, Justin, Fran and Yuvraj. These individuals I’ve just named go above and beyond on a consistent basis. The selection of equipment here at this gym is also diverse, and some pieces you won’t find in any commercial gym in the greater Toronto area. Those are quite literally the only pro’s of this gym, now for the cons: Ever since Covid, the gym atmosphere and quality of experience has exponentially got worse. To start, the smell is horrendous. Upon entry it will violate your nose with no consent, and will stay like that until you exit the facility. Without going too much into detail, a certain demographic does not think deodorant and personal hygiene is essential, you will encounter many individuals with this mindset, be warned. Next up, best of luck trying to find a matching pair of dumbbells, the weights in this gym are disorganized, mismatched, and missing. It’s practically impossible to come across a pair of 15lb or 20lb dumbbells. I’m sure management is aware of this issue and is out of their hands as this is more of a corporate level issue on inventory management and security. LA Fitness maintenance does an amazing job on maintaining the machines and overall equipment, but the dumbells are almost never accounted for. Third, the absence of towel service. As a club that holds itself to a premium standard and calls itself as a “Signature” club, you’d assume you’d get a basic necessity such as towels… however since Covid they have removed this amenity with no plans for it to return. Go to any gym facility that doesn’t even advertise as premium or whatnot, such as a goodlife or fit4less, crunch fitness or even 24/7 fitness, they’ll offer you a towel service. Id hope district management sees not only my complaints but the complaints from other long term members, and decides to bring back this very basic ammenity. Finally, this gym is not safe for your personal belongings. There is atleast 2-3 thefts there every week. Whether it be clothing, your locker getting broken into, someone tries stealing your headphones, cellphone, and even in some instances someone’s car getting broken into, the overall area is not safe. Multiple instances of a locker with a secured lock, getting broken into, and quite often you’ll see a cop car or even cops walking into the gym facility. If you’re someone like me who is heavily protective of their assets, I would stray away from putting things inside the locker room and even parking near the gym itself. Ever since 2019, all the IFBB pro’s and other experienced level lifters have long left this facility due to its shortcomings and fall off as one of Toronto’s largest commercial gyms. In my humblest thoughts, this gym and the staff served the community to their fullest of abilities and commandeered a well gym/ lifting experience, however over the years it has been a very very sloppy ride. I hope upper management sees this review and takes action to fix all the shortcomings I’ve listed and other members have voiced as well Thank you

Expérience fantastique: Shar did a fantastic job on my first visit at the Don Mills location. He was welcoming, courteous, and accommodating. I was also very impressed with how large and clean the facility was. There are many cable and cardio equipment available and the locker room is roomy and well maintained as well. Two of my family members signed up on the same week as soon as they heard how nice this gym is.

Expérience fantastique: My trainer Nathan was great in helping me work towards my goal of skiing this coming season. From 6 weeks after knee replacement surgery until 6 months later, my progression was expertly planned. Nathon was obseverent on how my body reacted after each session. He also verified with other resources to ensure that I l/we were progressing in a reasonable pace for my knee. Highly recommended as a trainer.

Expérience fantastique: I love the Don Mills location; it’s one of the best. I usually visit on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 9:00 to 11:00 PM. The management at this location is wonderful, and the services are top-notch. I especially want to commend the reception desk, particularly Parmida. She works at the front desk and is amazing—so nice, friendly, and respectful. Parmida always has a smile on her face and welcomes customers warmly.

The womens bathroom are usually decently clean but one of the soap dispensers hasnt been filled in months and one of the automatic sink faucets doesn’t work Gym has a lot of equipment and if you come during non peak hours its usually very good little waiting but never come during peak hours Some people dont wear deodorant and it makes it stink sometimes but thats not the gyms problem One of the treadmills i used the speed down button was broken and clicked very slowly which was a bit scary during a fast run since im not a very good runner Equipment is usually working fine but they removed a leg extension machine. Also only one of each: hip abduction and hip adduction which is ridiculous for a gym of this size Sauna is very nice pls keep it working

Expérience fantastique: I have access to all LA fitness and I love the Don Mills location. This is one of the cleanest location. I usually go Tuesday and Thursday evening. Shout out to the lady (. with long dark colour Usually in ponytail with Nike runners) she keeps the gym so clean!!! Changing area, shower and washrooms are always clean. I have not see her stop working !!. She is actually cleaning the glass behind me during spinning class!!!

Expérience négative: Folks! you gotta be careful when you leave your belongings at the change room of this GYM even for seconds, I don't even trust the staff there. I felt so disappointed and frustrated when a staff member rushed me out of the change room on Tuesday, February 6th at 11pm I forgot my new Nike Lebron 4 shoes under the table, I was literally the last person, there was only one staff member with me. when I reached home I got to know that I forgot my shoes under the table in the change room, I came back early morning to get my shoes, I was one of the first people, one of the cleaners told me that he was the first in the change room and he didn't see the shoes, we checked the lost/found room, it was not there. I spoke with some of the staff members and explained it to them, they were not nice and cooperative, The next day when I saw the same guy who rushed me out of the change room, he said I saw it and put it in the lost/found room, when I told him that I did check the lost/found basket in the morning, he said I didn't see it then, probably it was in the change room and someone came and pick it up after you left, He meant someone came to the gym after 11pm lol... Unbelievable! Please be careful with your belongings!

Expérience négative: Was told last year the hot water in showers would be fixed. Has not, there is clearly no dedicated line for showers. From the ground up this location was built poorly - namely the 95% of parking thats at the back of the building with little to no security lights or cameras - doesnt feel great as a female client feels like we're an after thought at best. Lastly, no one was at the desk today to report that treadmill F38577's down speed button isn't working.

Expérience fantastique: La Fitness is a great gym with an awesome community. They have a verity of workout options from swimming to free weight machines aswell as other sports. I left due to an injury however I plan to return immediately when I am fully healed.

Expérience négative: I have been member of this fitness now for more than 3 years.it has getting worse every day. I am happy with equipment's and it is close to my place so I try to ignore but seems not possible anymore .Customer service is awful .Most of them even don't bother themselves to answer question or explain .they seems to be bothered by our coming to the gym. Even when something happens they feel just responsible to say aggressively that "this is the law "and walk away .I don't see this tone even from police talking to some real violation .explanation and fining solution to satisfy customer is the job of sales rep and customer service .otherwise why they are there?. I recommend that management add some Machin to control entry and remove all staff in customer service. at least we do not have to tolerate angry face and rude behavior's . even same staff from past now behave differently .maybe lack of management cause that. although I tried hard to ignore ,I go to fitness club not just for equipment, Vibe is even more important and I do not feel welcome there anymore.

I had a really negative experience with their front desk receptionist, SAM, she is also the assistant manager. Absolute amateurs, these individuals will only create short-term, not long-term, business. Ideally, the LA will take care of these kinds of employees

Expérience fantastique: One of my favorite gym's to go to. It has everything, from many benches, to dumbbells and even a swimming pool. I can get a full workout here and the staff is very friendly and very helpful at all times and the equipment is topnotch. La Fitness is very clean and hardly any machines broken. They have a sauna and a steam room. Lots of parking space available Aswell. Dumbbells start from 5lbs to 100lbs and plates from 2.5lbs to 45lbs. They also have alot stair master machines Aswell as lots of treadmills. If you need someone to spot you with weights, theirs always cautious people available willing to help. Just topnotch place to get your pump on

Not only is she bright and energetic, but she always finds the motivation to really encourage me to work extra hard. I really look forward to seeing her every morning, and spending a few minutes talking about music/book recommendations for my work out. Whoever hired her, bravo!

Expérience fantastique: The Don Mills location is great, with lots of classes and wide variety of equipment and free weights. I especially enjoy Pat's yoga class at 11am on Tuesday & Thursday. I don't know how she does it, but every class unique, so it never gets boring. She also does the entire class along with us, so it's easy to follow along. It's truly a great workout for both new and serious yoga goers

Expérience fantastique: I've been going to yoga classes/sessions for 20 odd years at various locations, but find the teacher (Pat Shah) at Don Mills exemplary. I look forward to the 2 yoga classes plus mat pilates class that she leads weekly. She has developed quite a loyal following, both here and at the Warden location. The fees are reasonable, the Don Mills staff are considerate and friendly, and the gym and its facilities seem to be always open. Well done LA FITNESS. 5 stars especially because of group fitness classes.
