Expérience fantastique: If you live close enough to CrossFit Elmira to be able to attend class or receive personal training from Kirby then consider yourself lucky. I met Kirby in 2013 when he was at the beginning of building out his instructional knowledge base and in 11 years he's gone from relative beginner to advanced instructor. He's helped countless people change their lives. Bonus points for Kirby and Shavonne being some of the kindest people I've ever met.

Since joining in 2016 they have given me a community that I could never leave by providing enthusiastic and caring coaching, great workouts and an incredible facility to reach all my fitness goals. Kirby you and shavonne have really created something amazing and the amount of long term members is how it shows! I recommend anyone to come and try it or to swing by for a drop in for crossfitters passing through!

The people are welcoming and the facility is clean, bright and has plenty of space for everyone. The entire experience allowed me to feel comfortable immediately, and makes me want to be back. My personal experience is that Elmira CrossFit provides me with the tools to improve my physical and mental health that I wouldn't necessarily get at a regular gym and I have very much enjoyed the motivation received from fellow members!

Expérience fantastique: I started with CrossFit Elmira mid-January 2024 with no background in CrossFit whatsoever and after my first few CF classes I knew that my only regret was not joining sooner. Kirby and the rest of the coaches are motivating, encouraging, and are very much invested in you and your end goal. The added bonus to this is that you are working out with a tight-knit community of supportive, inclusive people who motivate and keep each other accountable.

Ever since I first walked in the door day one, I did not feel nervous because the members and coaches were extremely welcoming! The owner Kirby and all the coaches are amazing, so welcoming and always there to help you out and answer any questions you have. It’s such a positive environment from the moment you walk in the doors. If you are like me and think CrossFit is not for you, give it a try at CrossFit Elmira, it will change your opinion. Another thing that I missed to add is that people always think “oh, that’s pricy for a workout, I’ll go to the gym because it’s cheaper”, but you won’t get a coach at the gym looking, teaching and fixing all your moves unless you pay for it, at CrossFit you get the coach within the package , and that is priceless

Expérience fantastique: I joined CrossFit Elmira three years ago. I was at another CrossFit Facility but was a little scared joining a new facility. Crossfit Elmira welcomed me with open arms (it is like a family). I really appreciate all the tips and help with movements in lifting and gymnastic work. If you are new, no need to worry coaches will guide and help you with movements and weight selections. If you want to get your first muscle-up CrossFit Elmira is the facility to join! I have improved on all of my lifts, rowing, and gymnastic movements since joining CrossFit Elmira. CrossFit Elmira also hosts fun events for the members including dry-tri (my favourite) and a Christmas Competition. Every Coach is very knowledgeable in all CrossFit Movements. The coaches are all amazing, they consider all things before sessions (injuries, capabilities, scaling, where you are at in your journey) which is so rare in the fitness world. It feels like a family and the training is always on point! Love it here! I joined after surgeries and limited mobility and the coaches helped me come back stronger and better than ever! As a busy mom of three, I love how convenient the times are, and that I feel all areas of my fitness (strength, endurance and mobility) are conquered in 3-4 sessions a week!

Shavonne and Kirby are awesome, extremely knowledgeable owners and Geoff tops it off as a manager and trainer. Coaching staff is top notch. Environment is nothing less than friendly and set up for the competitive member to the beginner with their first Burpee. I've never felt the presence of any egos, just helpful tips and high fives from other members.

Expérience fantastique: There are not enough words to describe how much I love this facility, the community and the owners. If you haven't tried it, you definitely should! Beginner? Intermediate? Advanced? there is something for you. Kids? Youth? Teens? There are programs for everyone. The coaches are amazing! Motivating, supportive, friendly, and kind. Just want to do your own thing? That is an option too! My family of 5 all participate in CrossFit. Our 17-year-old son works out with my husband and I at 5:45am 3 mornings a week, and our daughters attend the kids program. We are all stronger, fitter and happier because we have Elmira CrossFit in our lives!

What makes it great is the quality of coaching, knowledge level of the coaches and the emphasis on proper form and technique (they don't want members with injuries!). I have personally experienced the benefits of CrossFit including: getting me in shape faster than any other type of workout or sport; improvement in all components of fitness (strength, conditioning, flexibility/mobility); increased stamina; and a better sense of well-being and confidence. Not to be understated is the welcoming atmosphere and friendliness of the members at this gym. "CrossFit is a Community" and you get to experience this full force at U Lifestyle Fitness. I love it here!
