Expérience fantastique: I recently moved back to Nova Scotia after being away for 20 years. I joined the Y at the wellness center and I am just thoroughly impressed with the facilities and the fact this is right in our backyard. Great for the entire family. A gem in the community.

Expérience négative: Worst experience ever. Manager and staff were very rude as my nephew he was going for swimming the pool was not clean, instructor was not friendly with my 4 yr old nephew as he told her mother too. Staff was hesitated to give him swimming training even though we were paying full amount of family membership.It was completely uncomfortable environment for brown people .My family experienced racism so it is big no for brown community.

Expérience négative: Hello the swimming staff of YMC is not good they feel uncomfortable to people, every staff have their own opinion, miss communication to their team members. No one follows the appropriate rules even they discrimination with brown skin people.

Expérience négative: The plans are terrible, age restrictions should not apply. Do what every other family plan does and allow 4-5 members on a plan. Not every family dynamic is the same and every family should be able to not only find a plan for the entire family but one that is affordable. If you want to be inclusive, build a family plan that is, especially if the price is $145 a month plus a $50 signup fee and proration.

Expérience fantastique: Membership is good especially as a student and there is no long term commitment. You have access to the pool, gym and court which I would rate the facilities a 7/10.

Expérience négative: Complaint ....I hosted a birthday party for my son on January 28th and I could not believe how rude the staff and manager were. First I was lied to when I booked the party and inquired about the large pool and offered to pay extra, I was told they don't book the big pool but if no one was in it the boys can use it as they are older and in swimming lessons. When we got there the boys jumped into the big pool as there was no one else there. They were told to get out and when I explained to the manager what I was told upon booking she called me a liar and said no one would have told me that, that's when I got mad and decided I would never book there again. One of my guests came late and instead of asking if they were with us, the life guard went up to them and pointed at the door and said "OUT". I was blown away.Then we asked for the tunes for the lazy river and were told they didn't have them, which would have been good to know upon booking. So I asked if they could use the flat chest boards or noodles in the lazy River to float on instead and was told no, no toys in the river except the tubes that they didn't have. Then in the party room we lit candles on the cake and turned the lights off to sing happy birthday, when we tried to turn the lights back on, they wouldn't turn on. So we went to the desk to ask how to get the lights back on and the girl said very rudely that none told us we could touch the lights...well guess what you little snip it...no one told us we couldn't and there is no sign stating such as I did take pictures. I will never book there again and even the other guests couldn't believe the treatment and suggeated we use the pictou pool or another venue from now on which is exactly what i will do. $ Customer service sure is not what it use to be.

Expérience positive: Love bringing the kids here to swim but I find the cost of close to $40 for a family of four to swim is outrageous.

Expérience positive: This is just based on the fitness centre: The gym is pretty small, and not the best for an intense leg workout. However, it’s not usually that busy (from the times I visited anyway), and they have a nice variety of attachments for the cable machines. The staff are nice and the gym is pretty clean. I do wish there was a washroom upstairs, though. If there is one, I could never find it…. The Change rooms are on the main level are sometimes a bit messy.

Change rooms were very clean. Price was a little high - $35 for family of 4. We visit a lot of community pools on road trips and the going rate is usually $20 per family. Kids were cold after an hour. Pool was warm but air inside was cool.

Expérience fantastique: One of my favorite places to visit. The staff is very friendly and my children love Tina at the front desk :)

Expérience fantastique: We went there for a blood donation but the facility looks beautiful.

Expérience négative: I was ignored at the front desk for almost 15 minutes and was appalled at the price of a 1 hour family swim for myself and my 3 year old. Needless to say, I left.

Expérience fantastique: Love it here. Staff is very friendly, sauna included at the swimming pool, and free WiFi. What more could you want from a Wellness Center??!! Regularly return here.
