Expérience fantastique: I did Regymen Burn for the first time since it opened, and it is BY FAR the best workout I’ve had in a long time! Charmaine is absolutely PHENOMENAL—her energy, love for her craft, music selection, and motivational vibes are unmatched! The Regymen room is incredibly well-designed and adds to the experience. If you haven’t already, I highly recommend giving these classes a try!!

Expérience négative: I recently moved to a new area, and this GoodLife location is the closest to me. Unfortunately, it's been a big disappointment. The bathrooms and changing rooms are consistently dirty, and the equipment is often left covered in sweat as members rarely clean up after themselves. There's frequently no one at the front desk, allowing anyone to walk in unnoticed. While I understand it's under renovation, I've been to several GoodLife locations, and this one is by far the most disappointing and unhygienic.

This doesn't make any sense, making people enroll to individual membership pricing at $39.99 biweekly, $90 a month. It's not worth the price goodlife. What the heck is you need a new membership.Scaming people to pay more money. Never going back. Thanks cancelled my membership.

Expérience fantastique: I don't know why this gym is rated this low... It's hands down one of the more well-equipped goodlifes in Toronto, especially since it used to be a Gold's Gym back in the day. People on here giving it a 1-2 star review based on the AMENITIES, like the pool or sauna is pretty idiotic. If you're simply here to lift and get a good session, this goodlife will do you right. Come here for pull/back day since they got most of all the hammer strength plate loaded machines + decent pull downs and cable machines. In terms of customer service, Goodlife is corporate, if you're having a bad experience just go to a different location .

Expérience négative: After a year's observation and going to this particular gym, I must say I truly am disappointed. Where should I begin? This gym shows that it has facilities which are not working anymore, last year the steam room was not working until November if I remember. The locker room has some really bad odor. The pool's permanently not working. But what is more disappointing and it goes without saying is that the staff and managers of this gym have a great lack of integrity. They hire immature university girls as attendants that have attitude problems. I had went to go and get my fees waived from a payment that didn't and the manager said that he will do it, and he clearly forgot to.....pathetic. Today I went in the afternoon after I got an email that said that my gym membership was canceled because the fees weren't waived which were supposed to be and I really wasn't wanting to renew my membership considering the disappointment. So I go up to one of the immature attendant named alyssa and I said "Hi I need you to take a look at something" She without even looking at my phone asks me for my number to look up on the system and then tells me to sign on piece of paper without even telling me what it was. She just makes me wait and then when I ask what seems to be the problem she says "I don't know" I said "Apparently the membership's been canceled" she replies to me with attitude "you just signed on a paper that says its not". So I stayed silent and she got the fees waived. It is truly frustrating when people hire these immature young adults that don't have the ideal professional behavior. Now had this been the pape gym this would have been a very different story. So I urge out to anybody that's planning get a membership, please don't go to this gym if you really want to see the range of facilities goodlife actually has to offer and how professional and friendly their staff actually is. This gym gives goodlife a bad reputation. The victoria terrace and pape gym are 10x times better than this one.

First they said a week then two weeks then three. were well past a month and a half and still they are waiting on a part. This is ridiculous. This is why they will loose customers. Expérience négative: Had a really bad experience at this specific location on Monday September 2nd 2024 When I first arrived the older short Filipino guy starts shouting loud you owe us money which I was actually not aware of he said this very loud as if he was trying to draw extra attention (they recharged my account and payment was received) not that big of a deal the way he was carrying on was inappropriate and not discreet at all Second my mom did not know where the women’s only section was and asked the old Filipino guy where the womens only fitness room was and he just mumble something and pointed not very helpful. Third when we were in the women’s workout area 2 of the employees come in one of them was the same Filipino guy he starts yelling you out your not allowed I was about to take out my phone and start recording how he was acting (very belligerent and ignorant) I was very shocked before I could even say anything my mom starts saying that I am a girl (why else would I be in the women’s only section) when you sign up online it ask if you are eligible to use the women’s section maybe they should start putting peoples gender in the system they have been made aware so if this happens again it is a human rights violation please train your employees to have customer service skills instead of having your employees wink at people as if they are attractive it comes off creepy. Debating on cancelling my membership soon I only switched because it is 24 hours and I can get a discount through my work but it doesn’t seem to be worth it. This specific locations quality has went down drastically compared to when I used to come a few years ago any location is better than this location.

Expérience négative: Went to this location couple of times expecting the steam room will work but for over 3 weeks steam doesn’t work! I asked one of the managers and he said it works fine now but what a Waste of time! I’m writing this review after staying for almost 1hr expecting to reset and work. This is my 2nd day. It’s better to close down the steam without wasting everyone’s time or get it fixed because we pay the price for it.

Expérience négative: goodlife fitness is getting from very good to good to bad to worse to eeeeuuwww. They closed there pool at some locations because of the high maintenance but the monthly payment is the same or got higher. Goodlife is losing lot's of customers!!!! We need gym with swimming pools!!! Or we will go to LA Fitness

Expérience négative: The quality of this location has gotten extremely poor since I have been on hiatus from working out since October 2023. I’ve only been in the gym inconsistently since then, but with each visit this place has been deteriorating more and more it’s been quite concerning. I don’t even know where to start. The woman’s change room is so poorly cleaned up after it’s absolutely disgusting. I notice in other locations they have housekeepers or normal staff periodically checking in and cleaning up the sinks, the toilets, showers etc but I’ve been here at different times of the day and have never seen anyone come in. The space is absolutely FILTHY. The nice part is that they finally upgraded the shower area, but the one time I came in to shower I saw brown water coming out of the floor drain. You can also see this on the toilets as well. The lockers are supposed to be opened after a certain period of time overnight but I’ve seen locks there for MONTHS. There’s notices put up that some locks will be cut after July 1st but I’m here on July 8th and they’re still here today!! The floors and sinks are always wet for hours, and there’s tissue everywhere. Now I also workout in the women’s section and it’s just as bad. When I had came in last there were tissues on the floor everywhere, missing equipment, and the worst part is that the sanitizing stations were completely empty. This has been a reoccurring issue and I had to once go down on my own to ask a staff member if they could refill it up. It’s either the sprays are always empty or the paper rack itself. I’ve had to resort to using the hand sanitizer (which is labelled as body wash by the way) to clean before and after equipment. And unfortunately, with a lack of sanitation resources, this also leads to other gym users using the equipment to not clean before and after using them which is incredibly unhygienic. Not to mention the mind body room beside it is now a staff lounge??? Why take away more gym space for that? The front coed space is just as poorly maintained as well with the same issues but it is a lot more looked after than the women’s section. I understand that it sucks to have people using the gym to not look after themselves when they workout which puts more work on the staff but it is still the facility’s responsibility to make sure things are kept well. Obviously there are other issues like the pool being closed for YEARS, the body odor of the coed space, but I can get past that since stuff like that can be out of staffs control. But in my personal opinion I think this location is poorly managed. Again this isn’t a reflection on the company itself as every other location I’ve been to is 10x more cleaner and properly maintained than this. So disappointing. I will have to look for another location to work out at.

Expérience négative: I workout at many GoodLife ; I have to say this is one of the worst so far . Staff mostly don’t greet you when even walk in , seem to be busy on their phones . I moved to to 5 bikes and couldn’t get an operational TV on one bike . Poorly maintained the shower’s washrooms unkept and not properly maintained or cleaned . The pool and building has being under construction for over a year . Lighting creates a gloomy atmosphere matches the outdated Gym charging premium prices . Positive is they have some a good stretching machines and extra of most equipment.

Expérience fantastique: Nothing but good vibes. Staff are helpful, Mehul had been amazing, he offered to show me how the machines work even when I didn’t yet sign up for personal training. A very non judgmental space for people like me who has body image issues. Options to freeze membership if anything comes up, personal training packages are a bit expensive but hoping they are worth it (will edit results in 6 months LOL). Definitely recommend this location for a wholesome experience.

Expérience négative: The behaviour Of the lady at the front was shockingly bad. Even though I had asked to cancel my membership in December, they had frozen my account. I don’t know why. Today I was debited 89 $ and when I went to cancel my membership and ask for a refund. She acted like it was all my fault and didn’t care about my money. In addition when I said okay lets cancel the membership today she said I need to pay 92$ more just to cancel it. After not using their service I have to pay 180$. Make it make sense. I hope they read this. Pathetic

Expérience négative: Kingston Location: I’ve been complaining about the heat in the upstairs women only area for over 1 year. They haven’t fixed the AC upstairs. It’s so hot after a workout and you feel lightheaded and claustrophobic. They have a fan ON which is useless and makes lots of noise. Management doesn’t listen

Expérience fantastique: I've been struggling with neck and shoulder pain ever since my car accident. All the trainer's were busy with other gym members but Ravi made time to help me. He asked all the right questions and had me do appropriate exercises in order to pin point my problem. He found the problem immediately and showed me exercises to correct my issue. I've never felt better.

Expérience fantastique: This is a great location to go to if you are someone interested in pursuing a lifestyle of active living. From the moment I walked through these doors I was greeted by their sales rep Aniello, and he took the time to sit down with me to gain a true understanding of what my fitness goals were, as well as how we could collectively use the resources at this location to get me there. I was then paired up with Maciej who is one of the personal trainers at this location and he has been excellent to me so far. I highly recommend this spot to anyone that is looking to start their journey towards a healthy active lifestyle. I also recommend using the personal training staff at this location, as they all have expertise in different areas of exercise and physical activity depending on what your own personal fitness goals are

Expérience fantastique: Went to body pump.. very good class for burning calories as lifting weights! The instructor is Kim who was very nice and checked in with me knowing it was my first time. This experience made me want to join GoodLife!

Expérience positive: i honestly don't know how else to describe this gym other than you feel like you're in the ghetto. washrooms/changerooms are SO dirty, i have no idea when it was last cleaned. why isn't there a full sized mirror in the womens changeroom? kennedy's goodlife has one. spray bottles are never filled up, paper towels are also never stocked so you have to run around the gym to try to find stocked supplies to clean the equipment before/after using it. also, the wifi literally never works and when i asked a girl for the password to the locked wifi she said shes "never heard of anyone using that". (?) interesting. lastly, i think there is literally 20 men per every 1 woman in the gym. not something they can control, but something to note. will only continue to go because its close to me and gets the job done, but please choose any other location lol. this gym needs some serious maintenance!!!

Expérience négative: Beware of Alex at the front desk at this location. He is quite literally the most unhelpful and obnoxious person. He gave my family member the hardest time, forcing her to sign a contract that was completely irrelevant to her plan. We got other workers involved and found that if he bothered to look into the matter, he would see that the contract did not need to be signed at all. I’ve had friends and family who have also had a terrible experience with him. GoodLife please do something about him!!

Expérience fantastique: Note that I workout during the week at 5am. At that time, the gym is relatively empty, more people come in closer to 6am but never had issues with waiting for a piece of equipment. There are two deadlift platforms, 2 squat racks and 2 Smith machines for those that want to know. Plenty of incline/decline/flat benches and various machines. Can feel a little cramped with the amount of machines but nice that there are multiples of somr machines, a reason why it's easy to find an open piece of equipment.

Expérience négative: Some of the group fitness instructors are excellent but this gym is not properly managed. The bathrooms are dirty, with doors not closing properly. There is little upkeep. Also, it is extremely disappointing that the pool is permanently closed. We pay a lot for the membership so I am very curious where the money is going. We deserve better! The only reason I go to this gym is because of the amazing instructors and because it is close to my home.

Expérience positive: Sauna showers everything you need best gym in Canada very local only complaint is that their swimming pool has been under maintenance for so long . Also it’s quite expensive with taxes and everything it’s about 60 a month but the kind salesman removed the 100 dollar joining fee when I joined. My other complaint is that I got a training session for 50 but it’s been 8 months and I haven’t gotten it at all. Overall great gym 8/10

Expérience fantastique: Clean facilities, amazing staff (shoutout to the GM Ravi!) and lots of machines available. The cardio theatre is awesome for watching movies on a big screen while doing cardio. My go to gym in Toronto.

Expérience positive: For the last two years I have always been handed a towel after my workouts, even though I had never paid for towel service. Often the towels had simply been piled on the counter for anyone to take. This led me to believe that Goodlife had sensibly dropped the stupid paid towel service--a petty, greedy cash grab designed to make the rich richer. But I was wrong. The towel cash grab is very much alive. I was embarrassed and humiliated when three people in front of me were handed towels without comment, but when I stepped up to ask for my usual towel I was angrily told "This is your last free towel," as if I had been stealing them. Now it appears the underpaid "motivators" are expected to recognize who gets a towel and who doesn't and to ensure no towels are left out for undeserving members to swipe--skills far beyond their modest pay scale. I did, however, pay for the towel service. I had always held off from inviting a union rep to organize the motivators, but now I'm not so sure.

Expérience négative: I have been a member of Goodlife for 15+ years and this is the worst location I have ever been to. With the closures for Cedarbrae and Morningside, it is now the only one in the area, meaning it is incredibly busy all the time and disgustingly dirty. It gets 2 stars because the equipment is pretty good and they are open on holidays. Other than that, its abysmal. The change rooms and washrooms are so gross - dirty, rusted, stall doors are broken, usually no soap, broken dryers so you are forced to wipe your hands on your clothes, busted lockers, etc. They don't enforce members to clean equipment, or put away anything so you are forced to wipe down everything or risk lying in other people's sweat. They keep saying they are renovating, but there is no work being done and no indication that it will ever happen. Staff doesn't clean (or is particularly friendly), the pool is closed with the same water that has been sitting in it for the last 4 years, and there are no premium amenities that you would find at other locations. In fact, it is probably their worst location nationwide. Cannot understand why they closed Cedarbrae, which was being constantly cleaned by both staff and cleaning crew, had a great turf zone, a lot of equipment, and staff that actually wanted to be there. Can't help but think the geographical location is the reason they refuse to make this location better, which is incredibly sad and angering. We pay the same, yet have sub par amenities. Overall, I don't recommend this gym, but this area is really lacking when it comes to competition.

Expérience négative: I have been going to this club for 15 years and I am going to quit. Good Life does not care about its members. The pool which brought great happiness to many members has been closed permanently and is only 16 years old. The management said it was not used, but this is not true. This pool was heavily used and many members enjoyed the aqua fit classes. Clubs at Cedarbrae and Morningside were also closed and the government gave Good Life money during COVID-19 - so why can't the pool be fixed? Next, the showers in the women's changing room have been closed for two months, and in its place three mental stalls that look like prison showers for the female members to use. There are no shelves inside the showers to put your shampoo. The showers are high, and you must step up on a wooden boardwalk to reach them. I looked at the present showers which are under construction and there is no one working to create the new showers. The old ceramic tile is still on the walls showing a lack of progress. The televisions do not work when you are on the exercise equipment. The members pay the same as other locations with better showers and a pool, but we get fewer services. I wish that a brand new club - a competitor would open in this area because many of the members will leave - we deserve better.

And when i asked him to show me where this is advertised. Because i know goodlife allow that one trial for free. When i asked to show where it is written or anywhere he said go check the website. I have worked in cx service industry for a while and this attitude was bad towards company’s face. For someone who can be a potential member.

Prior to the workout, all prospects must speak with a fitness advisor first in addition to a tour. For those who just want to workout, the guest fee is in place for those individuals.

Everytime im in there it’s a mess. Water everywhere, toilet paper not stocked, showers still on… no one checks the women’s change room when I’m here daily from 6-8pm

Expérience positive: I came here for the separate women’s section but have seen men come in. They don’t have much equipment for women and it started to get really busy. We had to wait 2 hours to use a treadmill, there were only 2 upstairs. There was some random lady using the sauna constantly and dumping water over herself making the room wet and slippery. There was lots of equipment downstairs which I would have loved to use but the men just stare at you and make you uncomfortable. Some staff were super rude, don’t want to take names, and made me want to leave. However, Eris/Aris is awesome and made us always feel welcome. Prices are also high and the pool/hot tub was out of service the entire 6 months we were memebers.

When someone mentions to you that there has been a sexual assault you shouldn’t need MONTHS to figure out what to do or swipe things under the rug. it will come back around to higher ups and see how YOU have dealt with the situation. Expérience négative: I made a s3x-ual harassment complaint about a member of the gym, the manager is probably the most unqualified person I have ever met in my life . Made me feel like what happen wasn’t even the mans fault and maybe it was by “ accident” . I had a full panic attack the day of the accident, manager said he will try and do something about it, months passed and I saw this member again I’ve never felt so triggered in my life, I was trying so hard for this interaction to not affected me but unfortunately it did, I have expressed with the team and manager how unsafe and trigger I feel when I see this member and nothing was done, even the manger said If this would have happen to his gf as man he would be man but as a manager he can’t do a lot. It’s crazy that they would allow a man in a facility with young girls and woman. This location sucks and unfortunately is my home location and now I have to drive 20 mine just for me to feel safe at another location. I was very patient with management I had to see this person 2 times and feel all these triggering emotions and even call corporate to do something .. and yet nothing was done. Even one of the workers spoke to the manager to see what they can do bc of how he saw this really affecting me . I just want it this member gone of that location and not think about the accident but instead I got nothing and felt dumb for even trying to fight something that I was never gonna get justice for it.

Expérience fantastique: Niro is an excellent Personal Trainer. He is very passionate about what he does. There's never a dull moment while training with him. He's a flexible individual and is very accommodating to scheduling. There's is always a mixed variety of exercises each day/week and he is an inspiration to the fitness industry. Expérience fantastique: I had a really great experience doing my practical exam for my personal training certification with Ravi Chandrapal, who works at this location. Ravi is super knowledgeable about working out and training clients, and he's very kind and welcoming which makes him a great teacher. I'm very lucky I had the chance to learn from him and would definitely recommend him for anyone interested in booking an exam.
Expérience négative: Pool is permanently closed, steam rooms are unavailable as well. This location however does have a larger selection of equipment. Primary reason for a low rating is due to staff. While a few are incredibly friendly and helpful, some of the trainers are rather inconsiderate to anyone who hasn't paid for personal training. Overall if you are interested in personal training or just daily cardio, this location may work for you. If you take your weight training seriously or prefer having access to all the facilities that a GoodLife location advertises, I would recommend choosing an alternate location.

I moved to the east end after enjoying 13 years at the lib village location I was so disappointed at Coxwell, pape location is broken equipment and never clean. But the worst is Kingston Road! Expérience négative: This is the dirtiest goodlife I’ve ever been to and it never seems to change. Ever since COVID got this gym went way downhill. You’d think they’d be cleaning more often during/post pandemic. I’ve had to send head office pics of the flies and roaches that were on the stairs for months before anyone took action. I avoid this gym at all cost and it’s the closest to me which is unfortunate. There are never any paper towels on the gym floor or in the washrooms (which are also disgusting). Spray bottles are empty and there is hardly any ventilation in the womens section. Big L for this location and it’s management that doesn’t respond.

The receptionists were very helpful and answered all our questions. The changing room is clean and bright. All instruments are really good as compare to other gym and its really easy to operate. GoodLife Fitness is a popular gym chain known for its widespread presence across Canada. Pros: 1. Expérience négative: You want my very honest review about this location? ... A Fat 2/10. I'm only giving it 2 because of the amount of equipment they have here are more compared to other locations. Staff are doing everything BUT WORKING. No customer service, lazy work ethic. If you go to this location often, you would know what I'm talking about. I NEVER see them clean. If they do, it's just a tiny wipe or two. Pool unavailable, Steam Room unavailable, showers are terrible. Washrooms are dirty 85% of the time. Overall, very poorly managed compared to any other location. Sad that I have to force myself at this specific Goodlife as it is the most convenient. If you're planning on making this your home gym, DON'T. Get the membership where you can go to different Goodlife locations and thank me later.

Expérience négative: Also, they like to say "we outline the terms and conditions and emailed you the contract". That's not completely true. All they "outline" to you is that there is a membership and some registration fee. And that you can cancel anytime (which is a convoluted process). Also the contract that was "emailed" is emailed a couple days later and to access the contract you have to log into a GoodLife portal which again takes a couple days to even setup. The first day I paid to use this gym, I had strong uneasy feeling. 2 hours later I called to cancel. They gave me several excuses why they couldn't cancel. "we can only cancel after the next month", "the membership fee is non refundable". BTW in Ontario there is a10-day cooling-off period for gym memberships. After a couple of days of trying to cancel, they finally agreed to give me a refund. Getting the refund was another issue. They would literally tell me to arrive at the gym for a specific time to receive the refund but there was always an issue. Apparently only the manger can provide a refund but the manger is busy or not at the gym yet. Another day I was told the machine is not working and cannot provide refunds. I believed they were messing with me at this point. After another few days, I finally received my full money back. Usually when people exercise/work out, they receive peace, mental clarity, and confidence to be better. So, how can these employees that work at the gym use their mental capacity to be shady and play games with people. They really tried to hold on to my refund as if it were coming out of there wallet :/

Expérience fantastique: I’ve been going to this gym for over a year. The staff are nice and does an amazing job keeping the gym tidy. The gym has a good amount of equipment and is clean. With the pool closing indefinitely, I do hope they will replace the area with a turf like the Kennedy location. As a flagship location, I’m surprised they don’t have one. The gym needs a bigger space than the one they have in the corner.

Expérience fantastique: This location is one of the best good life I have been to. The staff member greeted me as I entered. She was was helpful,welcoming and friendly. I was there too do an exam and Ravi was the smoothest examiner I have faced which immediately made me feel comfortable. It made me relax and have a better testing experience. From my point of view he seems to have a very good relationship with the members as he was greeted with positive responses. Worth the visit.

Expérience négative: One of the worse good life gyms when it comes to maintainance. Although the staffs are chill, They are very lazy, they barely fill up the paper rolls especially on the weekends. If you loose something there you will not get it back. Management sucks. Only good thing is that they at least have clean towel services available anytime.

Expérience fantastique: The facility is certainly not perfect and could use some renovation/upgrading work, but the staff is exceptionally friendly and caring, which instills a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere in the club. They classes are great with amazing members and dedicated instructors.. I am starting to use the Gym equipment in the main area.. Treadmill and rowing machine.. For what I need this Gym, the Location is great for all my needs I want to thank all the staff at the Kingston Road location.. No matter when I get there . Expérience fantastique: The gym is a good location, with easy access and a very sizeable parking lot, with up to date equipment that receives proper service. The facility is kept clean, from machines, mirrors, weights and change room. The staff are friendly, and efficient, especially all the front staff no matter who is there. One specific staff member Alyssa , is always greeting the members with a Hello and goodbye with a smile on her face, not only is the gym a fitness and health centre, but also, a hospitality business and she definitely makes everyone feel right at home!

Expérience fantastique: I've been attending this gym for over 5 years now. The equipment, cardio devices and free weights are terrific and well maintained. Some of the other reviews have obviously been written by the uninformed or those bent on being perpetually offended. Its a clean gym with very good staff but the standout staff mamber is Alyssa. Her friendly smile and greeting is almost (but not) eclipsed by her attention to small detail and customer service. She absolutely holds this gym together and is deserving of her own gym. I'd like to see Goodlife reward her for her over-and-above personal initiative. 5 stars!

Expérience fantastique: Been there a few times now, it's a great gym, very spacious and has a lot of great machines. Constantly making improvements every time I go there. Also the staff is always very kind and friendly.

Expérience négative: Couple things that have dissapointed me with this gym which is in a very populated area and should be better with the large amount of users: - Very upsetting they are closing down the pool permanently. There should be at least one Goodlife in the area with a pool. - No kettlebells except in the personal training area. - No turf area with sleds, battle ropes, etc. There's a lot of space here and I'm sure they can better orient it to include the missing items. Otherwise there's no difference between here and Fit4Less at a fraction of the price.

Expérience négative: Rude and unprofessional staff, the short guy with the ponytail(Eris) is the worst. The pool has been under maintenance for years, dirty lockers and washroom, and horrible costumer service, definitely wouldn’t recommend this place!
