Gibsons & Area Community Centre

Expérience négative: I don't know about the ice rink and all the other stuff this community center has to offer, but the workout gym was horrible. One needs a new bench because the one in there is absolutely terrible, very uncomfortable to actually do the workout, then it's missing some machines like pec fly machine row machine and many others. And if you go there, be prepared to be stared at while working out. Overall, it's an alright gym for seniors who want to be active but for people that want to get a good workout in just go to the anytime fitness.

Expérience fantastique: The center is beautiful, the staff very nice and helpful and the gym itself nice and spacious. there are some machines that in my personal and professional opinion vould be replaced by more functional ones. However, ocerall if you need to do your workout, this is perfect. The drop in fee is $7 /person.

Expérience fantastique: The town of Gibsons is my hometown. This venue is great and has a ton of activities for the community to enjoy. Gym here also! And the ice rink is great! Lots of things happening at the community center year round so have a look at their website for an up to date schedule.

Expérience positive: The gym is OK. There are plenty of machines and weights but the music in there is A) TERRIBLE and B) So loud that I can hear it over my headphones. This would be a 5* experience if it wasn't for the music issues.

Expérience positive: I use the gym here 5-6 days a week and get a great greeting from Jen at the front counter she always says “good morning Mr. Alberta”. The only downfall is I wish they had a few more machines but I make due with what I have.

Expérience fantastique: What an incredible community rec center. Very affordable. Yesterday it was firing on all cylinders. Baseball.. basketball.. skatebowl. We were rollerblading and it was great. Guy with the skates so helpful. Anyone who says there's nothing to do should visit

Expérience positive: Nice little pool facility, they also have toonie swims if you are budget oriented. Sauna, Steam , hot tub everything you need to fix the aching bones and muscles.

Expérience fantastique: The rec centre is really fun to come to and rollerblade/skate when you get bored, and if you get bored of that you can do something else because theres so much to do.

Expérience fantastique: A great local recreation centre with a spacious gym, 2 squash & racquetball courts, an exercise room, and an arena. I frequent the squash court and the gym every week and I find the staff always friendly and helpful. For EV drivers, there is a bonus free charging station at the rec centre. You could literally charge up both your body and your EV!

Expérience fantastique: Great people at the front desk, awesome friends from the community, clean and well taken care of facility with lots to offer people of all interests, not to mention a complete gym workout area, racket ball and squash, an arena for skating and hockey, soccer fields, baseball, and a skatepark

Expérience fantastique: Dropped by for an evening and the place seems nice. It is clean, staff are nice, friendly and helpful. The equipment is in good condition and clean. They even have a child minding service through the YMCA which is great when you have a little tyke with you. I recommend this place.

Expérience positive: Friendly staff.....the gym is very basic..... old awkward equipment. Decent set of dumbells. Everything is in need of an upgrade. Only really good thing is $2 entrance fee from 1:00 till 2:00. I might have the wrong times....can't remember what time we visited.

Expérience fantastique: With a full size ice sheet, small but good quality gym, change rooms, meeting rooms, exercise rooms, several racquetball courts and more GACC has a lot to offer the town of Gibsons. Ice is in place from Sept thru mid March, then dry floor activities take over. Staff is friendly & helpful. I only wish there was ice and ice sports throughout the full year.
