Expérience négative: IF YOU TRAIN HARD, STAY AWAY. I tried this place out because my former gym had to close. I was a member for a week and already had to cancel my membership. At first glance this place seemed awesome. I joined to specifically use their brand new functional fitness (Crossfit) training area. My first day I was harassed about chalk (BTW I was not advised prior to joining AND there is no visible signage with rules explaining this. Chalk is absolutely necessary for Crossfit-style workouts) So mid-workout, they told me they only allow liquid chalk... Total bummer (and safety hazard) as I sweat profusely. But, fine... I'll deal with that. Second day. I was harassed about dropping the barbell with the bumper plates WHICH ARE COATED IN RUBBER AND DESIGNED TO BE ABLE TO BE DROPPED. THEY'RE MADE FOR POWER-LIFTING/OLYMPIC LIFING. Note: This area is on the second floor (not very smart by the way!) and so it makes loud noises below when dropped... Firstly, I spoke to someone there about this, BEFORE joining, and they said it was okay to drop the barbell, within respectful reason, not every rep for example. So mid workout I had a staff member approach me about it as someone below complained. The next day (today) I got a call, about these two issues. I explained that crossfit training is done to the point of exhaustion, and that is how to maximize results, and over come difficult challenges. The barbell HAS to be dropped on occasion at the very least. The guy asked me to "work out lighter, and not go so hard." LIKE, ARE YOU SERIOUS BUDDY?? YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING RIGHT? This is a fitness facility. Trying to let down 225lbs gently after 10-20 clean and jerks is only going to increase chance of injury... It's a huge shame to see this expensive equipment not being utilized for what it is designed for. What a waste of their money. I was even promoting it for others to start going there. Shame on them, they just lost a bunch of new members that would might have helped pay for the new equipment. The part that baffles me most is that they didn't even make an attempt to accommodate and try to come up with a solution such as moving a lift platform downstairs, or sound proofing the floor in that area. They just default to "Nope, sorry that's the rules here. We don't do that here." Maybe for a second, open your mind and consider that there's more than just elder people who train there. IT'S A GYM, NOT A LIBRARY. Why they would put this expensive heavy equipment on the second floor is beyond-me... EDIT: I was not refunded my full amount and they said there's a "cancellation administration fee" which I was not advised of prior to paying. They basically charged me $50 for 4 visits over a 2 week time period. I did not even sign a waiver or anything that says this. Apparently it says it on my receipt. What a bunch of SCAMMERS!

Expérience fantastique: Good morning I would just like to say I took my neighbors grandkids to the day camp drop off in morning, picked them up in the afternoon Just would like every parent of the young ladies and gentlemen who work for the camp, know they are the most respectful ,caring young adults that every parent should be proud of and ever parent dropping kids off knowing your kids could not be in better hands than these young adults Thank you for running a first class day camp second to none with the best staff a parent could ask for taking care of their precious children

Expérience fantastique: Great facility overall but the family change room seem to be small. Our grandsons are taking swimming lessons.

Expérience négative: Rude staff, discourage kids eight years old to do anything in rhe gym, can't walk alone even though the parent nearby watching, can't run in the walking and running area. Different staff members have different rules. It realy discouraged my son to do do anything. One staff member let you play but next day another staff member say no for the same area.

Expérience fantastique: The "complex" as it is colloquially known, is a central feature of the town where the young might take their first shaky steps on an ice rink, or swim their first strokes. The older generations might workout in the gym, or take a spin class while others yet might stop by to catch an Old Timer hockey game or take part in one of the conventions held in the large gym.

Expérience fantastique: Was attending an athletics competition held in the gym at this facility. Clean, well maintained, and a surprisingly large venue for all sorts of activities. Only downside is I didn't see a concession - but I also didn't look too hard. Enjoyed this facility.

Expérience positive: Great double rink setup. Only downside is the kids breaking their wheels on the stairs to the smaller rink. I know they have an elevator but why not a ramp just outside the lobby viewing area to the smaller rink?

Expérience négative: Absolutely disgusting treatment by the staff trying to enter the facility. My qr wasn't scanning and they refused me entry to watch my daughter skate. I'm double vaxxed but they wanted to violate my medical privacy by having me write down my health card info on a paper visible to the public. Sorry not interested in someone stealing my personal information. I'll never be back!!!!

Expérience positive: When playing pickleball in the gym, we have to set up and tear down our own equipment. They have set up all the bleachers in the gym when only one set is needed, and all the balls get constantly trapped underneath, resulting in a serious shortage of balls. Lack of good equipment: we need some new nets and extra balls for pickleball.

Expérience négative: Careful if you use the showers. They paint over the mold instead of actually cleaning it. Also beware of the Highbury arena, don't look up or you might see all the black toxic mold all over the ceiling. Oh and watch for falling paint chips with that mold attached to it. The place is gone down hill since new management took over!

Expérience négative: Everytime we use the pool here, the life guards are a bit obnoxious about Anything kids do. Pool is cold. Can't use any toys. Pretty boring. Reccomend going to Essex pool instead. Much nicer staff, more to do, they have toys for kids to play with.
