Autant la réception a été très serviable, souriante et accueillant la veille -c'était un monsieur-, autant la jeune dame brune de ce matin avait vraiment un air et un comportement antipathique... Lors de mon départ, satisfaite et souriante suite à l'excellent petit-déjeuner, je lui ait dit au revoir avec un sourire et elle m'a à peine regardé ni répondu... À cause de ce comportement qui a gâché mon expérience, je donne 3 étoiles.

Surtout après une journée en extérieure fatigante. Le petit déjeuner est très bon, il y a du choix et en plus un chef au se charge de nous préparer de bonnes omelettes. Je ne peux que recommander.

Expérience positive: Very beautiful hotel and breakfast is excellent but… Maybe because of such good reviews I expected more:) Some hair on the bathroom floor, sink was clogged, just one roll of toilet paper - not new. Tried to order more using that fancy tablet - nobody came‍♀️. Rather strange decision to have glass sliding door to the bathroom. It’s heavy and it’s wobbly - so it’s making a lot of noise when you open or close it. If someone needs washroom at night - everyone is awake. Also the hook on it didn’t lock the door. Overall good for the price but I really expected more from the room cleanliness and comfort.

Expérience fantastique: We booked this hotel for 3 nights to relax and unwind after our daily hiking & kayaking in the region. We were delighted with the well appointed and quiet rooms, the attention to detail along with the extra amenities, the excellent service by all the staff, and the relaxing spa which was a welcome retreat at the end of each day. The morning breakfast started our day and in the evening Boefish is a top notch spot for dining, First class! Totally spoiled and relaxed! Merci!

Expérience positive: My family stayed at the hotel for 6 nights. The breakfast was fantastic, and my kids really enjoyed the swimming pool. The hotel is also very clean. However, there are three things to note: the TV doesn't have any kids' channels or cartoons, there is an extra charge for children under 12, and does not offer loyalty points to encourage to go back again to the hotel.

Expérience fantastique: I’ve stayed in a few hotels in the Saguenay region and this is actually one of the better ones. My good experience started off at the front desk when I was asked if I wanted to make a reservation for the restaurant called Boefish. The agent was telling me that it was rated one of the better restaurants in the region, and I thought that was just a salesman thing to say however, I was really impressed with the restaurant.. I decided to give it a try because I knew the options in the region and I didn’t feel like going out in the cold weather. I was pleasantly impressed with the quality of food and service, as well as the decor.. The impressive thing that happened at the front desk was they asking me if I wanted to upgrade my room to $20 extra for access to the Nordic spa . it was business trip for me and $20 seemed like a good investment to refresh and relax. I didn’t expect very much for the spa. That said, I was pleasantly surprised when I saw their set up inside and outside. The spa takes up a pretty good amount of space in the hotel. You have quiet rooms inside as well as pools inside and out. I highly recommend because it’s quite spacious and you will find a quiet space that you need. There are a few types of hot pools and cold pools. I really enjoyed my time there and I felt like I could really disconnect from my long days work. As for the room, the layout and structure was fine. I was mostly disappointed with being able to listen to my neighbours conversations. It felt like surroundsound as I could hear neighbours on both sides, talking on their cell phones. I could almost make out their entire conversation. I travel a lot for work and I usually bring headphones that I connect to my phone for White Noise overnight. I was quite lucky because otherwise I would be spending my time on the phone calling the front desk and telling them to call my neighbours to quiet down. It was annoying to be able to hear my neighbours that clearly. I do not understand the calibre of this hotel, and how they would cheap out on soundproofing walls. It’s just mind-boggling. Parking space is fine, I had to find parking all the way on the side of the building, making it a longer trek to get to the front entrance. But I guess that’s just luck of the draw. . That being said, there’s a lot of parking space all around the building.

Expérience fantastique: Great Hotel, location great to head up to Mont Valin and snowmobile. Large parking lot for trailers. We paid to have breakfast and access to the SPA. The breakfast fantastic huge selection and great quality. The SPA was great after along days on the trails, and then to the assume restaurant. We stayed 3 days and ate at the restaurant each night but was so great. Service and food and beverage 10 out of 10. Staff really great, take pride in great work and service, well done. Rooms really clean, with huge fluffy towels. I will recommend to everyone heading here.

Expérience positive: The location is surrounded by a sea of parking lot. I got the cheapest price and I got a ground floor room facing a parking lot. You can see through the blinds so essentially I put on the blackout curtains all the time. Breakfast also lacks variety. It is always sausage, bacon, egg and fried potato. There is an omlette bar which is nice. There is no waffle. But otherwise, service and housekeeping are great, the pool and gym facilities are great. But next time I would probably choose another one.

Expérience fantastique: Stayed here for a work trip. Everything was perfect. The staff is friendly and speak excellent English. The Boefish restaurant has great food. The spa is a nice touch (and only $25 for access if you’re staying at the hotel). The included breakfast is out of this world: an omelette station, waffle station and everything in between. There are additional thoughtful touches (room slippers, sleep mask, etc) that just feel so luxurious. Beds were clean, comfortable and plush.

Expérience fantastique: My wife and I booked a 2 night stay and we had an outstanding experience. Our first night was in a premium room with access to the spa facilities. We booked a 60 min. relaxation Massage for both of us and were very pleased with the professionalism of the masseurs and the quality of the massage. Spa facilities for the thermal experience were lovely. We had access to an indoor hot spa, cold shower, wet and dry sauna inside the building, as well as a quiet room with lounge chairs, and bean bags to lounge or nap in silence under the glow of a fireplace and soothing music. Refreshments are also available in the room. In the garden outside are 4 hot baths, a cold bath, patio furniture around multiple fireplaces and hanging hammoc cocoons to lounge with your S/O in relaxation. A wet and a dry sauna in a separate building are also available. We have tried all the spa facilities and loved every bit. The other attendees using the facilities were also very mindful of the spa rules for quiet and so, even with 60 or so people in the garden, we could easily enjoy peace and quiet. Our second night was in a regular 3rd story room with king sized bed. Both rooms and the overall Hotel and its facilities were very clean. Clearly there is attention to detail and the staff work with our well-being in mind. The beds and the furniture were comfy. Entertainment in the rooms with the added chromecast is a very nice touch. Soundproofing is great. The provided Breakfast was delicious and offers a very good variety of foods. Tables were clean and waiters swiftly carry away empty plates to keep the area clean. Thanks to ALL the staff who make staying at the hotel such a wonderful experience.

There's a spa outside with hot and cold saunas, hammocks and the like (not something you ordinarily get at a hotel!) The gym is actually decent as is the swimming pool. Very good bang for your buck!

The breakfeast is the best with a chef cooking omelets. Buffet with scrambled eggs,sausages, bacon,waffles cereals. It is worth staying there just for the breakfeast. There is an indoor pool, gym and a pay for use spa and pool$45? There is a bike storage area inside. The staff will store the bike for you. Excellent resturant upper end but closed on Sundays, as are many resturants. Sad we missed it. Definitely, go and spoil yourself!

Had to have subpar pizza delivered to the room because at 6 I couldn’t get a table for 2 at the restaurant. No effort no care by staff. Again, in the middle of nowhere.

Little add ons are nice like the coffee machine at the lobby, the wine dispenser and fresh apples at reception. I didn't have a chance to try the spa on site unfortunately. Hopefully another time.

ORIGINAL: There are some good things about this hotel, but overall pretty mediocre, and definitely NOT good value for money. The breakfast was great, staff are friendly and building is pretty clean. But at over $350/night for a pretty basic facility, I would not come back here. Noone came to tidy the room, make the beds, or empty the garbage - which seems like a pretty basic service for that room price. We requested a clean bathmat, but it never came. Several of the hotel's facilities cost extra, like the outdoor hottubs. And impossible to get an appointment at the spa for any service. I am convinced you could get an equivalent facility at half the price.

The buffet breakfast is included and was great and freshly made and prepared! The most amazing part of this hotel is there is a surprisingly spacious and fancy restaurant inside the hotel! Amazing place and every night is full house! The service was prompt and excellent! The food was awesome and has fabulous presentation, and delicious! You don’t want to miss that when you stay there! Expérience fantastique: People are very nice, very hospitable and caring. We had a problem with the key when coming back from the garden area but they helped us go back in with a matter of seconds. The iPad inside the rooms and the water bottles you get in the fridge, the cleanliness, the pool and gym are probably what makes this place so awesome. I’d 11/10 recommend for future customers and visitors. Also the bathroom floors are heated so when you come out if the shower no need to step out onto a frozen floor, another thing that makes this hotel 5 stars. I had an amazing time and I thank them!

Expérience fantastique: I would highly recommend this place. My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights last week and it was amazing. Staff is extremely helpful, patient and courteous. Considering that we don't speak French, everyone was extremely patient in listening to us and communicating with us in our language. Breakfast in the morning was fabulous. I will be coming back.

Expérience positive: The check-in experience went very well, the room was beautiful, we were given all info on the gym, spa, pool, breakfast, etc. We asked about dinner reservations, unfortunately the restaurant was full, but we were informed that we could order room service. As we were only in the city for one night, we really wanted to go out; but after calling all nearby restaurants, we were unfortunately out of luck. Lesson learned for our next trip, always book dinner reservations before going on a weekend. We eventually settled for room service. We each ordered a very expensive steak "served with fries". We used the ipad in the room to place our order which made it very easy. We each requested to have poutine instead of plain fries. Immediately after placing the order, we received a call to let us know they "cannot change the fries to a poutine" (eventhough aged beef poutine is on the menu, so it's obvious the capability is there. A poutine without the aged beef may not be a menu item, but when ordering an expensive meal, why not just charge a little extra? After ten minutes of discussion (which wasn't easy due to the language barrier) we were finally getting what we wanted. Until they showed up with our order. Our appetizers were delishious (beef tacos for my husband, franch onion soup for me) then we open another dish, plain fries. So we open another dish, aged beef poutine. And then the star of the meal, steaks burnt beyond recognition. After cutting a good portion of steak off, the taste of charcoal was still too strong to eat it. We called, since this was a $200+ meal, and got a person on the phone who argued with my husband that he asked for both our meals plus TWO AGED BEEF POuTINES ($17/each), no thank you. We were assured that the steaks would be refunded and that all the steaks are cooked Chicago style, so if we were to get replacements, they would be the same. We settled for the partial refund and chalked it up to language barrier. We won't eat there again. We did take advantage of the spa and pool and were very pleased. The water was nice and warm on a cool night. Breakfast was an assisted buffet and had an extensive selection and excellent service to go with it. We would highly recommend the hotel, but skip the over priced, over cooked steak.

Expérience fantastique: Very nice hotel It’s clean and they have a very good service. There is a spa center and a pool so you may relax if you come back early to the hotel. The breakfast was very good and the quality too. They didn’t take advantage of COVID-19 situation to lower their service quality and save money. I recommend this hotel.

Expérience fantastique: Quality hotel. Excellent breakfast. At one point a local restaurant delivered food and forgot to include the utensils. I called reception and asked if someone can bring me some utensils, the lady at reception told me she was alone but will try to arrange something. Less than 3 minutes later, she brought me the utensils herself... >>> Good services

Expérience positive: Breakfast was cold just after 9am but they seem to be doing their best with the fact that guests can't help themselves so staff are busy serving. Could not use pool but website had no hint of this when booking - very disappointed.
