The food was amazing and the service from the staff was great, they were very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Also, every time we go into the restaurant the staff are extremely kind and will always do their best to make you happy and comfortable. Special shout outs to Nancy and Mo in the Argyle room!

Expérience fantastique: I was there for my son's badminton tournament, and I forgot my wallet there while leaving. I realized it when I reached home. I called the front desk and gave a description for my wallet. They told me that they had it. I went back and got it from reception. Thanks to reception and a huge thanks to the person who found it and gave it to the front desk.

Everything from curling to a climbing wall, hockey arenas, skating rings, tennis courts, badminton, basketball, swimming pools and more. Provides a very exclusive experience for anyone interested. Conveniently located near downtown, and is accessible from many streets. Plenty of parking provided which is a good bonus.

Expérience fantastique: My son and I just last week had supper at the Argyle restaurant at the Glencoe club. Service was as outstanding as always. However my review is about the extremely delicious lobster we had. I am from the Maritimes and have eaten my share of lobster but the cooks at the Argyle cooked it to perfection. It was a large one also, full of sweet meat. If you like lobster you don’t want to miss out on this!

Expérience négative: Warning: If you are not the "Primary Member" of this club and enter a membership agreement with your spouse, should a divorce take place the club's policy will NOT reimburse your portion of the initiation fee or permit you within the club without the direct approval of your Ex. Carefully apply all the necessary work arounds in the Matrimonial Separation Agreement to avoid financial loss along with not being able to see your children progress in their activities.

Expérience fantastique: Great club if you have access to it. Long waitlist and expensive to join. But once you're a member, there are great facilities for everyone in the family.

Expérience négative: Attended Easter brunch this year and was extremely disappointed with the experience. I can honestly say there would likely be less children running around the dining room at a Chucky Cheese. I've never seen anything like it. There were several tables of unattended children sprinkled throughout. No parents to be seen anywhere. I sympathize with the service staff who had to essentially babysit children while also doing their jobs. Food was absolutely mediocre! The Glencoe has sterling reputation so perhaps my expectations were too high. Food was on par within your average neighborhood pub. Totally fine but underwhelming in the extreme. For what it's worth there was also virtually no COVID precautions whatsoever. I only saw 2 staff members wearing masks. No social distancing (tables were nearly on top of each other). Minimal sanitization stations. I understand that restrictions are lifted but this felt kind of gross. Would not recommend.

Expérience fantastique: I play Tennis & Work Out there... The Club has most Racquet Sports plus Bowling, Curling, Swimming, food & beverage etc...The management & Board do not listen and do whatever they want. Pricing it out of most peoples ability to join.

Expérience négative: Great facility but they can't accommodate the members they already have, and certainly not new members. Don't add your family to the wait list, we did and I regret it. Its been 10+ years and we still can't exercise at the fitness club we are fully paid members of?? The kids are second tier members and we can never get into classes.

Expérience positive: Private club that requires paid membership to get into premise. Was there for lunch as a guest for lunch. Food was decent but a bit on the salty side. There are other facilities like curling rink, bowling alley, fitness center, etc. Overall the place is looks modern.

I was in a wedding party here and everything was taken care of perfectly, especially when we ran into problems the staff took care of everything and the bride didn't have to worry at all. It was a great day. Peggy was also the best during our reception! Definitely hire Peggy for your event!

Expérience fantastique: I was here for work, and it had been years since my last visit. I was in the outdoor pool area cleaning cushions and wow! They changed it a lot! The staff were incredibly nice and laid back, any setbacks we had, they were fine with. From what I remember, staff inside the building in the cafeteria, for example, were so sweet. They always made sure we were having fun and we were well fed. Great environment to be in, especially as a kid so many years ago. I'd assume since it's still so popular, that the service hasn't changed one bit since then. They hire the best of the best!

Expérience fantastique: The Glencoe Club is a gorgeous wedding venue in Calgary! Their reception space is perfect for larger weddings - there was ample space between the tables and plenty of room for the live band and a dance floor. Can't wait to be back!

Expérience négative: My family has been respected members for generations. I absolutely love the amenities and I appreciate what Glencoe has afforded the Calgary community. However, certain aspects of the club seem to be going downhill. For instance, the other day I was playing tennis and I noticed a lady wearing socks with green stripes on them. And even more startling was that the staff did not seem to care at all. If the club doesn't hold everyone to the same standards, we'll be right back in the dark ages, and nobody wants that, do we??
