Expérience fantastique: My family and I really enjoy coming to the Y - we swim a couple times a week. There is one lifeguard in particular who is remarkable at her job and makes our experience great, each time we are there, if she is working. Hannah displays great leadership skills while on the job and leads by example. Hannah always acts responsibly, she obeys facility rules, she builds trust with the swimmers, is consistent, a good communicator, and patient. We noticed that Hannah pays great attention to her surroundings, is always calm even when things can be chaotic, she is empathetic; it shows she genuinely cares about those around her – members and coworkers. Hannah is kind with her words, interacts appropriately with children and their families, and it shows how much she values her position as a lifeguard. My family and I met Hannah about 4/5 months ago and we have watched her in her role and she should be so proud of herself! Hannah is Highly competent in what she does, and my family and I truly hope she is being valued both as an individual and in her role at the YMCA. Great job, Hannah!

Swim, Steam, Weight Room Workouts, Play Sports ( Basketball Pickle Ball & Badminton all in one freindly and caring family oriented building that has some much to offer an entire family!!! I love the people, place and all it has to offer!!! Must explore and experience it for yourself and your family as soon as possible!!! Don't miss out any longer!! The only regret I have is not joining sooner!

Expérience fantastique: Great gym and nice atmosphere and very clean. I’m from Chatham and come here everytime I’m home from work in BC for a month or so. My only complaint is that the showers in the plus change room don’t have cold water they all go to warm/hot very quickly. I’ve talked to other members and they all agree the showers need to be fixed so there is cold water specifically because we all use the steam room. Those that use the steam room regularly often take breaks and use a cold shower in between. To have a steam room that many regularly use and not have showers that will dispense cold water longer than 20 seconds is a big problem for people who are paying extra money for the steam room specifically. It should be fixed and I know many other members have already complained about it. Still giving 5 starts though as everything else is perfect

Expérience fantastique: YMCA offer a lot of services including swimming, aqua fit class, zumba class, fitness class, gym and a lot more. . The building is clean and well maintained. Staff is very helpful, knowledgeable and very polite. The facility is 100% accessible for people with diverse abilities. The programs offered are varied, interesting, accessible for people with diverse abilities. The available times for the activities are excellent and user friendly for people who work. The cost of the membership is reasonable for all people. The parking lot is well lit, safe , easily accessible.

YMCA offers lane swimming, aquafit classes, exercise classes and gym equipment all set up to keep us healthy and safe. They also offer a "plus" membership with gives you some nice extras in a change room separate from the general change room.

Expérience positive: Recently moved to Chatham, I went to the Y in my previous town. Considering Covid 19 restrictions Chatham YMCA is doing a great job of protecting all of its members. I have attended the total body conditioning class and had a great workout while socially distancing. Also reserved a lane to swim this morning and felt very safe.

Expérience positive: Great place to give blood (blood clinic was there today). Was a great gym until Covid shut it down. It has not reopened as a gym yet. You can do Zumba in the parking lot if you're so inclined. Google bot doesn't know it is not open and asked me to write a review. Kinda funny so I obliged.

Expérience négative: Former Y member in BC; came here while visiting. For my purposes, the weight area is severely lacking even basic items. No squat rack, weights that don't slide on/off the bar easily, outdated equipment, insufficient free weights. Overpriced daily rate. Pool and facility is clean but this gym clearly caters to seniors, children, and casual gym users. Found Performance 360 today; way better. Also, Rob the Manager is a great guy but sadly not enough to keep me coming back. All the best Rob.
