Expérience fantastique: Kids loved it

Expérience positive: Clean and staff are generally pleasant.

Expérience fantastique: Spacious shower and changing room with lots of free lockers. Just bring your lock, combinations. On duty life guard for all time. Public swimming is free every Saturday from 1:15 pm to 4 pm.

Expérience négative: I would avoid this pool for swimming lessons, especially if you're a parent of an opposite gendered child, or you have kids in different age brackets (especially if you have different gendered kids). The lifeguards ask parents to sit in the viewing area, regardless of situation. There is no family change room, so our 7 year old daughter is left to her own devices when her dad brings our kids. We have a boy and a girl in lessons that overlap. My daughter (7) is sent into the change room on her own while my husband brings our son (4) to get changed. Our son starts his lessons and 15 minutes later our daughter starts her lessons. My husband has to send our daughter on her own because the only way into the pool is through change rooms. 30 minutes after that, my daughter comes out of her lessons and has to navigate getting changed on her own. With the only entrance to the pool being through change rooms, my husband often gets wet from the showers he has to walk our son through. The instructors are delightful but otherwise the whole experience of swimming lessons here is a PITA and the staff in charge aren't much help

Expérience fantastique: Friendly staff and big pool, my kids liked it!

Expérience négative: We enrolled our 4 1/2 year old in swimming lessons here prior to hearing unfortunate stories from a few different parents of children falling off of the platforms setup in the water for young kids and parents needing to alert life guards as there were no instructors / lifeguards watching. Sure enough, the same thing happened to our child during the first lesson. The facility is fine but they need to increase their safety measures or change the system for young folks learning to swim. We wont be back until our children are able to swim on their own. Also, I'd highly recommend watching from the pool deck (not the balcony) and paying close attention.

Expérience positive: Happy they exist as an option when other sites aren’t open. A hot tub or sauna would make it 5 stars.

Expérience fantastique: December 2023 Great place to go for Aquafit. One of the smaller city facilities, but that doesn't change the fact that it is a great place to go to exercise. Friendly lifeguards.

Expérience fantastique: Decent size pool. Not overly busy. Great place to comfortably swim my laps without bumping on others.

Expérience positive: Enjoying my aquafit classes and free swims. The staff is very friendly and the pool water is at a comfortable temperature.

Expérience positive: Really nice, small facility. Pool is very clean, change rooms are mostly clean. Depends at what time of day you visit really. Great spot for swimming laps though!

Expérience fantastique: This pool is in ottawa. Do not be fooled. However, take consolation that you don't need a passport to go here. Just a growth mindset, a gps, and no fear of 4-way stops. I am uncertain if there is an archbishop of this pool. But, there should be. Also, if a loved one dies, you can save money by bringing their corpse and sitting it in the observation area, which is hotter than most incinerators. 2 hours should be enough to reduce you both to ashes.

Expérience fantastique: EDIT: Tried again and the environment was much warmer! The big fans were turned down in the change rooms and even the pool felt warmer. It was a much better experience for both of us and I appreciate how my concerns were delt with changes made for the better. I had signed my 13 month old daughter for swim lessons at Canterbury pool. The lessons started today. The pool was absolutely freezing, to the point my daughter literally was turning blue and had uncontrollable shivers 15 min into the lesson. I ended up getting out of the pool to warm her in the shower and left. Spoke to the staff who assured me it will be warmer the next week.

Expérience positive: Simple community Center pool nothing special. The sauna is located on the pool deck so it is coed and there is no scent policy listed. You may find people applying fragrant lotions which make the sauna almost unbearable.

Expérience fantastique: Nostalgic swimming pool. Great life guards and clean facility.

Expérience fantastique: Clean, not too crowded (2-4 people per lane), friendly staff. Very reasonable subscription costs. The sauna is out of order, though. Hopefully it will be fixed soon!

Expérience positive: Great little spot for a swim. Definitely needs a family change room though - a single mom of a 10-year old boy with autism, and he can't come in the change room with me. Luckily, we attended with a man who could take him along into the men's change room. I'm glad we hadn't gone just the two of us! Also, the tiles by the pool are OLD, and super slippery. Each of us in our group slipped, but caught ourselves, except one who did fall. The place just needs to be a bit more refreshed. If it were, and if they tracked swim tests, it could be 5 stars.

Expérience positive: Disappointed that there is no family change room. Realize it's an older building, but still wish they could add it. I don't feel comfortable sending my kids into the change room which has no covered showers.

Expérience fantastique: The pool is clean and even smells fresh. Friendly and helpful stuff. I haven't been to the Aquafit class yet, but lane swimming is well organized and never gets overcrowded.

Expérience fantastique: My favorite place for a swim, especially after last year's renovations. Clean facilities and beautiful pool.

Expérience positive: Nice ice rink and kids enjoy it. The place need more rubber mats for skates to walk around. The snow pile being plowed near isn't a good idea as kids play on it. Cars can harm them. The staffs would need to be trained with people who are deaf.

Expérience positive: Lovely pool and sauna. Mostly older folk who attend this pool which is perfect as opposed to loud kids. Also it's not an issue for all types of bikinis and swimsuits.

Expérience positive: Loved coming here for swim lessons for my kid. The viewing area is way too hot though. They are renovating this summer so maybe that will change. I love the instructors here in the summer, always a good experience.

Expérience positive: Love going here there is lots of times for kids and families but there's also plenty of time for grown ups to go without kids running around and jumping in. The workers are friendly and it's usually quite clean. I would have given more stars except for the fact that when it gets cold in the fall I have to stop going until it warms up in the spring again. This is an older neighborhood and the change rooms and the pool is much to cold in the winter. Hard for people who deal with arthritis, joint pain or any kind of injury or pain. The heat needs to be brought up a little so that everyone can enjoy the pool all year long.

Expérience positive: Nice pool, slightly older building. Changig rooms could use some updating. Especially the changing table for babies. Very Friendly staff. The water is set much cooler than some other pools. Not great to take newborns to this pool.
