Expérience positive: Staff and the pool are great! Changing rooms need a deep clean up. The odor of urine is very present at least in the universal changing room.

Thanks! :) cute lobby too, especially the wall with art. Very inspiring for youth. Update: our children attend swim lessons there through Ottawa.ca - the swim teachers are very nice. Kids love it. Expérience positive: The classes and trainers are excellent. But I really don’t like that they don’t control the parents’ replacement shoes. More than half of adults enter the pool area wearing dirty street shoes. And there are even mothers who come with strollers. And children run around barefoot and drag this dirt into the pool. very unsanitary.

Expérience positive: I go here for the gym and the pool for my kids. Pool is great: lots of shallow water for the kiddies and some fountains. I prefer this pool to richcraft for kids. Gym is no frills. If you want lots of cardio machines it's probably not for you. There's a rack and bench press plus three benches and almost never anyone, which suits me just fine. It's got all the other typical strength machines too plus the cables. Recommended for strength training.

Expérience positive: Great swimming facilities here. In addition to a deep pool with swimming lanes, they have a kids’ pool and a fun water slide. The area is kept very clean, and the facilities in general are super clean. The only exception are the changing rooms. They appear to be much older than the rest of the facilities. The changing rooms always have an unpleasant smell, and the air is always stuffy.

Expérience positive: Place is always clean. I've booked the gym here for basketball multiple times. The process for booking the gym is relatively easy, but I think it can be improved and made a bit more efficient. It would be nice to be able to see the gym availability online or through some sort of portal. Also used the rooms for meetings which are pretty decent. Overall, staff is always helpful and friendly.

Expérience positive: This place has many sports activities for the public, including swimming. I am interested in swimming pool and hot water tub. They maintain very high discipline that I like very much. This is also a good place for kids for swimming.

Expérience positive: 1) This pool is nice, but they should have a barrier between the large swimming pool and the baby pool with separate water system because babies sometimes (often) poo in their diaper which would leak into the water. Most people swimming would put their head in the water. 2) The ladies change/bathroom (I haven't been to other change rooms) is so stinky. It smells dead fish or mold. I did report it, but it's still stinky. 3) The front desk staff were nice, except one woman named Maureen who was rude. 4) The lifeguards are very nice and helpful.

Expérience négative: This is the second time I’m trying to register my kids at swimming pool program for private. The website opened yesterday and was an able to download l. Today I came 8 am and they said was full. Last time I left a lot message to program coordinator and she never called me back.very frustrated

Expérience positive: We tried it the pool facility which turned out better than expected. There are water fountain type things in the children's areas and a fun 3-ring slide as well as a hot tub type pool. Pool is warmed but not warm so you do feel cold after a while. The family change room is pretty up to date and clean but if you're at a peak time you may need to wait to get to a locker. Staff is a mix of high school/ university folks and levels of genuinely helpful to not hiding their boredom so well. Like any indoor pool I find no one can hear the life guard's instructions so do your best to be vigilant.

Expérience négative: So on this was my first time going here, I normally go to Richcraft but due to them closing at 8 on the weekends I was not able to make it then in time so I decided to give Cardel a try considering that it said that it closes at 9 which was not the case in this matter. At 8:45 the woman came into the gym and kicked us out in a very rude and brash manner. The other man and I working out in the facility were under the impression that we still had 15 minutes left to finish our work ou and this was on Feb 18 2023

Expérience fantastique: It is a nice newer recreation complex It has a nice small cafe inside as well. The staff, traing team are all very good. They are always smilimg and very welcoming. Swimming area is good. It has good area for toddlers which is equipped with sprinklers. There is also a big slide which kids just love. Only thing it is really hard to find coachi g classes. It really gets filled up the minute it opens for registration.There should be a system where kids who are already enrolled in classes could continue for next level.

Expérience fantastique: My daughter goes for her swimming lessons here and she loves it. The staff is great, and the instructors are really humble. The universal change rooms are good, just find the 'her' changing rooms a bit smelly. Given the chlorine it is understandable.

Expérience positive: There's nothing wrong with the place itself. But using it for voting, the back door should be propped open to allow for easier access to drop off disabled people to reach the voting room. It's much closer than the front door.

Expérience négative: The washrooms/change area for the pool smells and it's always dirty. They put out their new schedule for the pool availability. I wanted to take my daughter to the preschool swim on Tuesdays. I applied up and they started it had been cancelled, they said I would book ahead. The booking for the week opens in Sunday. I went online Sunday to book for Tuesday and it wouldn't let me. On Monday, I called the centre to see what was going on (maybe there was an issue with the website) and the response I received was "someone must have called in sick". That would have been a fine response had it been the day off but I called the day Monday to find out about Tuesday. It seems only the preschool swims get cancelled. Funny how is the preschoolers that don't have to pay an entrance fee that gets their free swim times cancelled. This is suppose to be a community centre. But their schedules are made for seniors that can go anytime during the day.

Expérience positive: This recreational centre is tailored for young people. I think Stittsville has a majority of retired residents. But it seems that the programs there do not consider seniors’ needs. I wish CARDELREC centre can check out the programs at Churchill Seniors’ Centre and see if they can get some ideas there to improve the programs for seniors. Something like senior club for social dancing, hiking, mahjong, photography, etc.

Expérience fantastique: One of the better recreational centers in Ottawa. It serves pretty much all age groups. From swimming to ice hockey, basketball, badminton and many more. Facility is well maintained and clean. Covid guidelines were being followed and proof of vaccination was checked as well so thumbs up for that. I have been here for badminton games and my daughter plays basketball here. No issues with parking. Keep up the great work.

Expérience fantastique: I called today to speak with the Aquatics Supervisor at the Cardelrec center in Stittsville as I wanted to pass on some information regarding my child starting swim classes tonight. Just wanted to share that the supervisor was fantastic! I didn't get her name (although Karen at the front desk transferred me to her and was also helpful and kind). The Aquatics Supervisor was so helpful in answering my questions, addressing my concerns and giving advice as to how to help our situation. We ended up making a new booking and she made the process so easy and I feel totally confident with taking my 3 kids to their lessons tonight!
