Expérience positive: I visited Thornhill Community Centre for the Happy Cute Mart holiday market in early November, and it was a pleasant visit :) The community centre was very big, and we were guided to go into one of the multi-purpose rooms with 80+ vendors inside from the south entrance (wheelchair is accessible). I didn't get a chance to explore the entire space, but I knew that there is a Tim Hortons on site, 2 skating rinks, a library, plus, washrooms are available throughout the community centre. There were plenty of parking spots around the building. Though for this holiday event, the lot was maxed out, and we had to park further out. The local bus actually comes through the parking lot too.

Last night, I had the misfortune of misplacing my phone at the center. Thanks to the exceptional diligence and kindness of Arshia and Miad, my phone was found and returned to me promptly. They went out of their way to locate my contact information from my driver's license and ensure the safe return of my device. Their actions not only showed exceptional humanity but also a tremendous experience from Thornhill community centre.

Expérience fantastique: Parking lot a bit small in the front , lots of ppl from the apartments beside park in the front lot, which is annoying when looking for a spot close to the doors when lugging kids skating equipment . But the facility looks Very nice after the renovations , taking a tad long for the pool to open.

Expérience fantastique: one of the best libraries in york region, they have a massive selection. in general, the markham public library system is probably one of the best. their "suggest a purchase" service is amazing (and they respond pretty quickly too) and they have an incredibly robust makerspace

Expérience positive: Went for the Comic Com that was held, the gym space could have been better arranged but considering free admission can't complain overly much. The place is fully accessible from the areas i access in my chair, but the density of the ppl in the area i am sure was it within the health n safety guidelines when I could at times hardly move my chair. But all in all a good experience n I can see why others like the venue for events and stuff as it is designed for accessibility in mind (though the capted ramp proved harder for me to navigate one my own n needed a little helping hand to get up it (its steeper then it feels it should be).

Expérience positive: Fantastic centre for families and seniors. Markham provides a lot of classes / clubs here. Skating rink, fitness center, activities rooms, Library and friendly people. This is what "community" is. It is an older facility and it would be nice for some upgrades here but it's well maintained, so overall it's a good place to be.

Expérience positive: Good clean facility but you make disabled people walk around the entire outside of the building in the rain I get covid but you should allow handicapped people to leave thru entrance and yes w their young child and equipment

Expérience positive: Nice building and up to date arena just make sure you eat something and are hydrated before going in as they do not allow you to bring out food or drinks in. So if you're inside for over two hours with a mask dont expect to quench your parched throat with a coffee or water from a reusable bottle.

Expérience positive: This community centre has many things that others don't: ice arena, cat adoption, seniors center and squash courts. It's also next to a shopping center. Only problem: the arena has a strange smell.
