Maple Ridge Leisure Centre: Avis
Expérience négative: The signs they use to let you know when the pool closes. Is the same format as every other sign. Not only that they don't post pool closures in the under ground parking. When I asked the staff why they don't tell people who come in that the pool is closed. They said that there are signs everywhere. After that I said they should let people know that the pool is closed. Not everyone reads the signs especially if they cannot read. the staff should let everyone know that enters the center that the pool is closed that day. The staff were very rude and not helpful.
Expérience fantastique: My favorite indoor pool in the lower mainland offers a fantastic experience. Here are the highlights: 1. The water and facilities are modern and clean, especially considering how busy the pool areas can get. 2. There is a 25-cent fee for locker use. 3. The entry fee is $6. 4. Amenities include a steam room, hot tub, sauna, cold plunge, lazy river in the kids' section, lap pools, and a tube slide. 5. The staff is friendly and accommodating. 6. There are plenty of lifeguards on duty. 7. The pool area is well-maintained, and guests are generally respectful. 8. There are gender-neutral changing areas, some of which have showers, toilets, and small seating areas that can accommodate families of 2 to 4 people. 9. The best time to go for adult swim is on weekdays, between 7 AM and 3 PM. Weekends tend to be busy. Overall, it's a wonderful place to swim!
Expérience fantastique: “Maple Ridge Leisure Centre is a fantastic spot for fitness and fun! The facility is clean, modern, and well-maintained, with something for everyone. The swimming pool is incredible, with options for lane swimming, and a fun water slide. There are plenty of classes for all ages and fitness levels, and the gym is well-equipped with high-quality machines and free weights. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and always ready to help. I especially appreciate how accessible the center is, with amenities designed to accommodate everyone. A big bonus is the affordable rates, which make it easy to keep coming back. Highly recommended for anyone in Maple Ridge looking to stay active or enjoy a day with family!”
Expérience négative: The new schedule is quite confusing. For example, on Saturdays, there's competitive swimming from 7am to 8am, but then there's a gap until 12pm. Also, what exactly is "fun swim" at 12pm? When I asked about the new schedule at the front desk, the clerk responded with an eye roll, which was unprofessional. Additionally, with the upcoming 1-month closure for deep cleaning, are employees being paid during that time? For adults, getting lane swimming time is almost impossible unless you can go at 6am on weekdays or 7am on weekends, or after 7pm, which isn’t practical for most people with jobs, or you are willing to share a lane with 5 ot 6 people. The pools are often busy with lessons, and parents tend to monopolize the seating areas. Maple Ridge is growing rapidly—it's time to consider building more pools to accommodate everyone! And by everyone I mean adults and kids.
Expérience positive: Cute little place.. kinda small but they have a lazy river and a small waterslide.. have to pay for parking underneath..if you want to park really close.. but we enjoyed it.
Expérience négative: Disgusting pool I developed typhoid fever from this location would gives 0 stars if Google let me.
Expérience négative: Pools are clean and well maintained, but that’s basically the extent of the pros. Schedules posted online are erratic and not always easy to interpret, and closures to the public are frequent. Changing room layouts are weird - narrow halls split by lockers that are open to the pool area, with about a dozen individual change rooms that are always full. If you have a kid who needs a change table, you are constantly stuck waiting for one of three rooms with one inside. Also one of the receptionists who is there during the week is laughably miserable and unfriendly. We swim here because it is close to home, but there are better facilities in the lower mainland.
Expérience fantastique: Hot tub steam room and sauna that's what I went for all were clean and enjoyable
Expérience positive: Can be a nightmare at times. If swimming as an adult or older, I'd recommend weekdays. only kids you'll see are babies and tod's, the occasional older ones, depending on school pro-D days and things of the such. Please update your website if things happen, like the pool closers, and when it reopens. Because the website said the 9th, the sign outside said the 10th, and the lesson drop-in sheets said the 11th. I do recommend the Water Wellness class, everyone is quite nice. And it's helped me with my back and shoulders, not as stiff as they tend to be. I do though, like the simplicity of the change room, just wish there was more space in there, because of the lockers down the middles, there's only so much space to move. For the simplicity of the change rooms, I enjoy that I dont have to see anyone naked, like change rooms at other leisure centres, "I know your comfortable with your body, but I'm not comfortable with your body." It's a nice change, and I'm quite comfortable with this style of change room. Here's the changeroom there's the pool. No maze of walls. No private parts of other people. Sure there's traffic for the stalls, at times. The changeroom only needs some more space is all.
Expérience négative: Facility completely closed, didnt say anything on the website. Security never mentioned so paid for parking for no reason
Expérience négative: I don't usually give negative ratings but if this was just renovated, it's absolutely not working for me, my first time getting here, I was lost like as if I'm at an airport, no clear markings, nothing to be wary of just weird design throughout. Changing room, it requires a 25 cent quarter that you never get back unlike other pools, so bring a pocket full of change with you if you need to snack. Besides that, I came in the middle of the day and was told to come later at 7pm when this apparent swimming lessons are finished, they blocked off all lanes so for an adult, you're stuck in the kiddie pool or boiling with other prunes in the hottub, just no space at all, after 20 minutes I left and I would recommend adults go swim at Poco Rec centre or Hyde Creek pool, those two are amazing facilities. This one was clean but otherwise, I will probably never return The underground parking can be annoying too, bleh!! Not worth it
Expérience positive: I had the worst service at my first visit. My sin had a private swimming lesson and no one knew who was the instructor or what pool he was supposed to be in. After the huge confusion my son got 15 minutes out of a 30 min lesson. You'd think the instructor who screwed up would take 15 minutes out of his break to finish the lesson since he was the onw who acrewed up.and asted my time. I had a good conversation with the person. She addressed the issues I had and we came to a conclusion. She gave me option on how to do my lessons. I dud really like how she handled the situation and I came out of that conversation giving it another try.
Expérience positive: I have only one suggestion that if annual maintenance was in another season that would be great . Summer is the only time people eager to use facility mire.
Expérience fantastique: Nice place
Expérience positive: Can be busy at times. Staff are kind courteous and knowledgeable. great value. change rooms and lockers available. wet and dry saunas, hot tub, lanes, leisure pool, gym space, workout room, and boxing, pickle ball, basket ball.
Expérience négative: Atrocious changing room area. Incredibly bizarre design. The worst part about this facility is that they do a poor job communicating closures. They are often closed for swim meetups, among other things. For some reason they close the leisure section instead of just the lane swim area. Do yourself a favor and phone ahead every single time to verify if they are even open, don’t rely on the website.
Expérience négative: Despite the online schedule showing no classes, both pools were closed for classes, each only using half of the pool, unable to share. We're left to wade around in the 3 foot piss pond, or ram into the maxed out hot tub with the other adults desperately seeking refuge. TLDR, this is a wet Chucky Cheese. Don't come here if you're an adult and actually want to SWIM. We didn't last 30 minutes.
Expérience positive: THE PROS: • Great location, you can visit the park or Haney mall before/after. Very transit-accessible. There is ample and convenient underground parking. • The pool temperature is THE BEST. You will never freeze in any of the pools. • The lifeguards are fantastic. Though very young, they are extremely alert, undistracted, helpful, and take their job very seriously (in contrast to Coquitlam pool where the lifeguards would not notice if you drowned). • Generally very clean throughout (more so during the day). Hardworking employees are constantly cleaning. • Bathrooms are clean. • Lockers are clean. • The private showers are a huge bonus. I don’t like to shower with a bunch of naked women rubbing all their parts in my face. You almost always get a shower instantly without waiting. The shower temperature is hot and never runs cold. • Front desk customer service is generally great and there is almost never a lineup. • Overtly pervy creepy men are non-existent here. • The steam room is great, it steams hot. • The shallow pool, when available, is almost empty. • The aqua fitness classes are great and a lot of fun. The instructors are really into it. • The water exercise weights are heavy and there are lots of floating devices to use. • The background music is generally good. I only heard one bad Barenaked Ladies song once. THE CONS: (why I deducted a star): • When they close the shallow pool to the public and there is a “pretend class” with 4 supposed synchronized swimmers. They’re not even practicing, they’re just playing. And their coach is lazy and is not teaching them anything (if you have your children enrolled in that; un-enroll them immediately, you are being robbed). • They should have discount days/times like Coquitlam’s toonie swim. • There are waaaaay too many kids at this pool. Kids should not be allowed in “adult-areas” such as the hot tub, steam room, and sauna. Some of the kids in the hot tub play and splash around in my face and disturb my peace. • The hot tub is not hot enough and has too much chlorine in it, it burns my eyes. • The sauna is never hot enough. It’s hotter to sit under the sun. • Sometimes they open their windows and it becomes sooooo windy and freezing cold. • Sometimes people put some stinky smelling aromatherapy stuff in the steam room and sauna. Stop them. It stinks and gives me a migraine headache. • The change rooms always smell like baby poo between noon to 2pm. • The open holes in the shower doors make me uncomfortable. If you’re going to have unisex showers and changing areas, the door should extend to the ground for complete privacy. • There should be a small garbage can in the shower (even a tiny one nailed to the wall). I once saw a dirty period pad in there. • It would be nice if the change rooms had mirrors. • It would be nice if there was a place for women to do their hair/makeup after the pool. I can’t go anywhere directly after I leave here because I look like a hot mess. • The locker quarter should get returned to us and not sucked up. Other pools return your locker change. Walmart returns your cart coin. How greedy can you be? *TIP: Try to go weekdays between noon to 2pm and avoid nights and weekends if you can.
Expérience positive: Great place to work out. Variety of equipment, and multiple machines to choose from.
Expérience négative: I frequent this rec centre out of convenience, and because it’s reasonably priced, for what it’s included. However, they underwent a renovation a few years back and the pool changing rooms are unacceptable and are poorly designed. They have 2 changing rooms (which most likely used to be separated for male and female), and both are now open to everybody. First, the changing rooms are narrow and if someone is at their locker, it’s impossible to walk through. You either have to stand and wait, or turn around and go another way. Secondly, as a woman, I am uncomfortable in a changing room with men. I am also super uneasy bringing my niece with me into these changing rooms, and would feel much more comfortable in women’s changing rooms. Because it is so closed off and cramped, as well as the individual changing stalls, it gets quite hectic. Thirdly, this is a busy rec centre. If you are entering or leaving the pool at a peak time (which could be anytime), you are going to have to wait to use a changing room stall. Back to my second point, because these are shared gender changing rooms, you must use a stall to change. I have visited the pool and left at closing time, and it’s a nightmare getting into your locker, changing, and leaving.
Expérience négative: Careful with the lockers, it seems like they get broken into easily. We went there recently and surprised that our lockers were open even thou we have our key. Glad there was no valuables inside.
Expérience fantastique: Best pool, cleanest, and warmest pool than most I’ve been to
Expérience fantastique: Amazing facilities
Expérience positive: This pool is quite fun! Although sometimes they do close suddenly. They should definitely set a schedule for the pools. We have gone there many times and sometimes even if you check the website and it says it's open it's not. But other than that everything else is pretty cool . The basketball courts are good and the gym overlooks the pool!
Expérience fantastique: Satisfied.
Expérience négative: The reception staff are rude and impatient almost like they hate their job or something, to busy surfing the web to be disturbed by paying clients maybe it's time for a career change for these employees.
Expérience négative: You call before you go. It's a pathetic way of running the facility. Unannounced closure happens. Especially Saturday or Sunday you got to call to make sure it's open for the public. Whoever makes the schedule is very very unprofessional and incompetent. It's a public swimming pool. The least they can do is to accommodate one pool out of 3 for public when they are booking their programs. Firstly, they should get the programs during the week days. Weekends should be for family leisure. Again very incompetent and unprofessional way of running the facility. Can't believe they did 110 million dollars pathetic renovations with maple ridge tax payers money and the public can't use it on the weekends.
Expérience fantastique: I visit this community center often and the staff are excellent and the facilities are super clean
Expérience négative: CODE BROWN this morning had to show the life guards, they fished out TP but left peices of poo floating So disappointed, did not take it serious I have been a memeber for many years, this seems to he happening more and more I get it, it happens, just not happy with the staff today Front end staff amazing, life guards not so much,
Expérience négative: So rude staff , I went there to cancel the lessons but the lady seems to be frustrated, I think she was confused what to do . If you don’t have patience you can’t e at the reception.
Expérience fantastique: Celebrate the Night Maple Ridge, amazing turnout, great crowd and an awesome time! Wonderful fireworks show! I'm honoured to have been invited as the emcee for the night!
Expérience négative: There is always a wait to get in the pool. When we finally got in, the change rooms are now gender neutral and all open. You cannot just get changed you have to wait so long for a small closet sized shower/ change room now. The pool got a code brown and we weren’t able to continue to swim. It really sucked. Don’t even think about getting a refund, no refunds ever. I wish that they had more options in maple ridge to swim. And more change room space. I have no idea why they would change the change rooms to be this way, it was much better before with family change rooms and separate gender change rooms.
Expérience négative: Always over capacity, no staff to handle normal peak volumes. I have been told to wait 30-45 minutes for the sauna. Is this all Maple Ridge has to offer? It is such a shame. The sauna isnt even hot, there arent enough lanes, and they charge for parking. Worst Leisure center in the lower mainland. One year later. Still the same. I got cold in the sauna today.
Expérience fantastique: Staff are very friendly and helpful. Atmosphere is really good, and people are always happy to help out or teach you new things at the gym. The pool is great, and the gym has everything I need. Only issue is it does get pretty expensive if you're going regularly, but for drop in it's the best.
Expérience fantastique: Do not use google for accurate hours of operation.
Expérience négative: Congratulations for the smart person that closed the pool during the hottest days of August. 5 weeks of renovations Smart!
Expérience négative: 0 ac / ventilation by the power racks
Expérience positive: I like locker set up, showers ,pool, hot tub but the weight are old and rusty don't move properly along the guides but good clean place
Expérience positive: Very good for kids from 0to 5 years old. Warm water. Nice aqua aerobic training.
Expérience fantastique: Great leisure centre. Pool, gym, basketball field and lots more. Great staff, always helpful and kind
Expérience négative: Honestly this pool is a joke.. trying to reach them by phone is next to impossible.. when you do get through they say they will put you on hold and then hangup the phone. They constantly have pools closed so you never or rarely have full access to their facilities yet always charge you full price. Most of the lifeguards are rude, some are ok but they always seem to have new ones as they cant seem to keep any. Really disappointing coming here..
Expérience fantastique: The staff is professional, beautiful and clean.
Expérience fantastique: Terrific pool, friendly and helpful staff. Awesome use of public funds!
Expérience fantastique: The staff is amazing. Gym is spacious. Equipment works. Lots of cool programs. Pool is clean and well operated.
Expérience fantastique: Kids play gym is great people are very kind
Expérience fantastique: Bring a quarter for your locker. Underground parking with stairs going into it. Hot tub is not hot however. They should call it a bath temp tub. LOL First class place .
Expérience négative: I have gone here often but On more than one occasion I've have paid full price to enter the pool and i go in and only the kid pool is open Upon payment it would have been nice to know that only the kids pool are available to swim in When i was seeking and asked for a refund I was told no refund. And that was it so I just left after
Expérience négative: Very nice pool but I am very unhappy that the windows in the pool are opened in the evening time in Winter Time, it is very uncomfortable and cold, specially when you are with a child. Several times I asked the staff to close the window because it's cold, they told me that it's hot and humid, so they won't close the window. Maybe you need to change the personnel who can work in such conditions? Questions to the pool manager why do I have to constantly ask to close the windows? If I or my child gets sick, who will pay for the treatment? This is NO only my request, other people also asked to close the windows. Why do they ignore us?
Expérience fantastique: Great place for swimming with kids.
Expérience négative: Seems like a decent pool, but difficult to fully review due to the fact that public swim is either always at capacity or closed to the public to lessons.
Expérience fantastique: Absolutely great faculty...perfect
Expérience négative: The pools are good but we will not return as the change room situation is beyond unacceptable. Nowhere to change/shower as there are no gender sections anymore, only a few full family rooms and a few change cupboards, moved our clothes 5 times to find a locker that worked! My daughter grew up swimming in that pool, sad to say but will not be back with the grandkids anymore!
Expérience fantastique: Lovely city activity center. There's a great leisure pool with a lazy river, a lap pool, a learning pool with a deep end and diving area. There's a big hot tub, a windy water slide and a sauna. Staff are always helpful and kind. The swim instructors are super great with kids of all ages. Newly renovated and very modern facilities. Gym and activity rooms upstairs.
Expérience négative: Doesn’t answer the phone. Called around 5 times.
Expérience négative: My experience is not good. Racism recently ( haven’t been back in over a year)within the staff. I had been of the rec centre since it opened. Never a problem. All those years. The problem began upstairs with a staff member.
Expérience fantastique: warmest leisure pool I've been to!! great for young kids, nice and shallow easy for the kids to touch bottom.. hot tub..Clean facility.
Expérience négative: Change rooms are a strip show. I do not consent. ♂️
Expérience positive: The new renovations are awesome and I'm glad to be back using the facility! Hot tub holds 22 people and has two walk in/out ramps. One competition pool with cooler water and another full size "teach" pool that is slightly warmer. Used for lessons, aqua fit etc. Really nice children's shallow pool with water slide, waterfall, spray devices and a very shallow water play area for toddlers or even pre- walking children. Change area is now co-ed and works on very well, communal shower or change rooms with private showers available, even family change rooms with showers. Well thought out! Recommend
Expérience négative: These guys are always shortstaffed and there’s usually always a problem with one pool or another. Their hours don’t work for young families. The only good thing is they’re the only pool within a 20 minute drive. Which is really bad considering I can’t even take my kids here after work because they are not open to the public until 7 PM which gives my kids a half an hour before their bedtime.
Expérience négative: Even after mass renos the pool has still had issues and closures due to maintaince and failure problems. I understand the lack of life gaurd issue, but Maple ridge has always had poor staffing issues front and back. The management has really never seemed to care about the city's needs. This latest closure time reflects that, they have decided to close the pool between 3 and 7. This is the prime time to take children. After school and before dinner. I am more disappointed in myself that after 10 years of poor management and lack of caring from the facility that we keep trying. They can't even update the website or Facebook page because of the complete lack of communication with the community. I don't recommend this pool at all. It has been a frustrating experience almost every time we go there. We live very close and will no longer even try to go there. We will gladly drive out of our city to have a positive experience in a pool.
Expérience négative: If they had staff the place would be all right
Expérience négative: What a joke. Taxpayers spent how many millions upgrading this place but always something broken or closed. What a waste of money. Hot tub and teaching pool closed today.
Expérience fantastique: Nice place, great pools and hot tub!!!
Expérience fantastique: Outstanding Facility. Pool, steamroom, jacuzzi and a nice big gym with seperate stretching room! Wow
Expérience négative: Great location and has good features...However the public swim/ saunas are closed almost daily between the hours of 4-7 this is a masssive issue that really needs to get resolved ASAP. For over a month, Monday- Friday it has been closed from 4-7. This is a prime time for many busy professionals and kids with children to do something healthy and swim but instead we cant. Hopefully this is resolved sooner rather than later...
Expérience négative: Those who work in customer service do not work well in the night shift at all, and do not plan for busy time
Expérience négative: Hot tub closed every time when I came.Terribble
Expérience positive: You'd think when the air quality index is so poor the leisure center would close the pool doors. Patrons would like to exercise but in air quality this poor, its not recommended.
Expérience fantastique: I find the pool is always clean. I've never hand any issues with the facilitys that they offer. They have a great swimming pool that have to pools for swimming laps and great baby and kid pool they have an amazing slide. I personally find this pool really nostalgic for me because I've been going to this pool since I was a baby. If you have kids or you are just looking for a fun pool that's also affordable. In general is a super amazing pool. They also offer a variety of supper interesting courses like the home alone course babysitting course and bronze medallion/ bronze cross. I definitely recommend going to this pool.
Expérience positive: Great facility, nice pools, sauna, hot tub, workout room is very clean and well stocked, they seem to have fixed the staffing issues and service has been fairly consistent lately.
Expérience négative: Very limited public access times on weekends. Limited capacity and and multiple areas closed. New renovations are not impressive for the time and tax payer money. Pool was also closed because old wires where found inside.
Expérience négative: Definitely not a "kid" pool. The area that my 5 year old could actually touch the bottom was tiny. No fun things. (Compared to mission which has beautiful art/toddler pool. Or coquitlam with waves and a boat) More geared towards seniors and people with disabilities. Which is great. Just won't be bringing my kids back.
Expérience fantastique: I always enjoy the leisure center, and the steam room is never that crowded usually whenever I go, which is awesome! Staff has been helpful
Expérience positive: Good Center but the pool has been closing a couple times for maintenance
Expérience positive: Can’t blame them for having the pools closed often with the current lifeguard shortage. the 25m comp pool is cold enough to flash freeze my seafood, the diving blocks are older than the building itself
Expérience positive: Very good swimming facilities.
Expérience positive: A great place for a swim, with well-maintained facilities. The shut downs are a little too frequent.
Expérience fantastique: Sure surprised when I walked in there it's brand new.. the staff are super friendly and helpful and the place is spotless.. everything you need in the gym to work out and beautiful pools nice place!!
Expérience fantastique: The new pool is great.
Expérience fantastique: Excellent facility, exceeded our expectations, and staff is very helpful and friendly.
Expérience fantastique: Fabulous
Expérience négative: I come here a couple times a week, mainly because it’s the only fitness / leisure facility in maple ridge with a sauna and hot tub. The 2 stars is mainly because the facility is clean, relatively affordable and has a lot to offer. The fitness centre isn’t bad although they close it to general public 2x/wk for students to have their own hour of working out, which is kind of absurd because almost every week evening after 3pm it’s crowded gull of students, and their bags are pilled up all over, as well as many of them in groups just chatting and occupying equipment. Nothing gets said to them. Pool/hot tub/sauna frequently is closed, a lot of times without sufficient notice. Have showed up more than a hand full of times to be told pool area is closed. Also, I should mention it’s closed everyday between 1-3pm. The sauna temperature is super inconsistent and doesn’t remain hot at the temperature a sauna should be. I sit in there frequently and other people are always complaining, yet nothing gets done. The hot tub is not hot at all, it’s a tad warmer than the kiddie pool, also another thing many people complain about. Management doesn’t really seem to prioritize customer experience, which I find strange. I previously have worked in a fitness facility for 6+ years and this type of service wouldn’t be tolerated by any means. Like I said despite the facility being clean , relatively affordable and having a lot to offer, proper facility management is lacking, not to mention customer experience isn’t valued. I think it’s fair to expect more, especially being the only public leisure facility in Maple Ridge. The thing is it has a lot of potential which is disappointing. I will continue coming here occasionally because of the sauna and close proximity to home, but if there was another option even within a 15 min drive I probably wouldn’t return.
Expérience négative: Every time we have gone, the pools are booked up by swim teams, you are basically relegated to the kiddie pool with dozens of children and the packed hot tub.
Expérience fantastique: Friendly staff and impressive pool.
Expérience fantastique: Great pool. Well maintained.
Expérience positive: Pool and gym both are sufficient and clean. Hot tub is pretty big, Steam room is small, but it stays hot. 25m lanes are generally quiet mid-day but you might share with someone in the evening. Glad i decided to start coming here. Gym has about 20 machines and a freeweight area, plus mats, medicine balls, stretching room, etc. Not to mention the gymnasium and squash rooms and various other multi-purpose rooms.
Expérience fantastique: Steam room is now open :) Very good friendly staff here
Expérience négative: Note to all competitive swimmers considering racing here: don’t. The water is cold as hell, the dive blocks don’t have a wedge for the back foot, and the turn end is extremely shallow
Expérience fantastique: Steam room is now open :) Very good friendly staff here
Expérience fantastique: Love the classes at the Rec centre. Staff are always so friendly and helpful!
Expérience fantastique: Great facility!!! Pool is awesome and so is the fitness centre. The fitness centre has everything you need and more. Great facility to train at. The staff is also amazing and friendly.
Expérience négative: Closed for drop ins from 1-7pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Closed 1-3 everyday?
Expérience fantastique: Great pool area and the water was warm. The lockers can be a bit confusing but the staff were very helpful with that.
Expérience positive: Pretty decent swimming pool, change rooms are ok
Expérience négative: We are one of the many families in Maple Ridge who are not able to do kids swimming lesson because of required parents participation in water. We have to travel all the way to POCO LC where children can swim from 3+ without parent!
Expérience négative: We have a 6 year old daughter who swims in swim club and also used to do lessons in this Maple Ridge red cross program. We parents are not allowed inside the facility anymore so that means for our daughter Annabel not be able to join here classes anymore since they require a parent guardian to be with her in pool during the lesson and they will not allow us in. We asked anywhere else in lower mainland where we go for swimming if she would be able to swim there without a parent being with her in water !...They confirmed yes, if she is over 3 years old and she is in her proper level she can do swim program without a parent in pool in those facilities... Langley, POCO, Mission, Coquitlam, Burnaby etc are helping their people !... ANYWHERE ELSE SHE COULD SWIM but she can not swim at her local pool !!! We called, we emailed, we reached to city hall council and mayor to try to fix this nonsense !!! We had been trying for 2 months now and NOTHING!! MAPLE RIDGE leisure centre director or anyone responsible in municipality for treating us like this should be ASHAMED!!! If you do expect us paying this year property tax in full for not allowing families like ours to use facilities you charge us taxes for, who do you think you are? Thank you for discriminating not just adult parents for not allowing us to enter but now for discriminating little innocent children who just want to continue what they like to do, enjoy water, learn swimming better and be a child with smile on their faces !!! YOU FORGOT WHO YOU SERVE TO !!! PEOPLE !
Expérience fantastique: Maple Ridge Leisure Centre was redone in 2020-ish and is much better than it was before. It's great for kids of all ages. There's a lane swimming pool, a kid and baby pool, and a large hot/warm tub. There's also a water slide which is good for younger kids. I'd totally recommend going to Maple Ridge Leisure Centre for swimming in Maple Ridge.
Expérience positive: Please rebuild a second squash court!!
