Expérience négative: Full of Disrespectful staff and management that don’t care of members Never willing to to see it again Rude staff with no respect in the front desk

Expérience fantastique: We rented out the pool (and meeting room) for our 11 year old’s birthday party. The staff were amazing right from the initial booking all the way through to the day of the party. Special thanks to the lovely lifeguards on duty - Anjali and Halley! Great facility and awesome experience.

Expérience fantastique: I've been working out here from 2016 - 2019 and am now returning and aside from cosmetic changes from construction, what remains the same is the super friendly and helpful staff. I've always liked the vibe of this gym and I've never had any issues with other members or staff. I'm also a fan of the pricing, fairly flexible plans and freeze policy, which is not something I can say about other gyms. Glad to be back, thanks to Jenna at the front for being so welcoming, it's intimidating to return to the gym after 4 years but I felt right at home again ✌ PS. I forgot to mention, the gym is very clean and you also have access to the pool and some value added classes depending on your membership (lots of options regarding plans from 1 month, summer months or annual) and despite the havoc of construction, there are a lot of parking options.

Expérience négative: I genuinely cannot stand the staff here. The older lady especially. Nothing she does or says is nice or considerate. If you push the gate to open it she snarks at you, if you dont she yells at you to push it. Everytime i have seen her she has something rude to say or just talks to me like im dumb. Un provoked! I personally would let her go she doesn’t seem to enjoy her job and ruins my mood every time she speaks.

Expérience positive: Love this gym! So many amenities included in a pass, I only wish they would add more equipment. There are almost no doubles of equipment and when it gets even a small bit busy you are having to wait in line or do something different. I also have never been to a gym that has smelt so bad, I understand it’s absolutely not their fault but I think they should have a sign about personal hygiene if it’s that bad. It really is gross to the point it gives me headaches and I need to leave. Overall though great gym!

Expérience positive: We had a great introduction to scuba with the dive Outfitters. Top notch!

Expérience négative: Would not recommend, unless you are a student. Vaping in the men's room, dirty steam room, broken lockers , but great staff and gymnasium.

Expérience négative: Students wearing outdoor muddy shoes on the court during open gym , while staff says "there's nothing we can do about it". There's always a problem for every solution.

Expérience négative: Visited the pool today, wasn't impressed with the life guard (the girl with glasses.) She was rude to the kids, yelling at them least 3 times within 2 hours...

Expérience fantastique: Cleanest gym I've been to in the city! Love it

Expérience positive: Attended a refresher course given by Dive Outfitters and the pool and locker room areas were spotless The lifeguard staff was very attentive and professional No lazy Whistle twirlers here

Expérience négative: Rec experience was fun but lack lustre after trying to contact anyone. Communicating with anyone is a Herculean task with voicemail after voicemail leaving you with no answers and more confusion than you started with. If they could improve communication and problem resolution this would be 4 star facility.

Expérience fantastique: This place is great, a no brainer to use the facility if you're a student here. Never absurdly busy. I am very impressed that they have a dip belt available to use free of charge located in the equipment bin adjacent the stretching area. Good assortment of machines and 6 olympic platforms, including 3 with full squat racks, which is usually enough to get in pretty quickly without waiting.

Expérience fantastique: This is a great facility and the staff are all very knowledgeable. Have been using the gym and pool for years and have only ever had positive experiences.

Expérience positive: Went to the pool for a private booking with a kids hockey team. Setup was really nice. Shallow pool connects into the lane pool, lots of water activities for the kids, and a nice big hot tub. Pool temp could have been a little higher but you adjust pretty quickly.

Expérience positive: Decent gyms. The floor should be waxed more often though.

Expérience positive: Well-maintained pool and steam room! The only thing keeping it from 5-stars is that there is no temperature control on the showers and the water is too hot! Lockers are large - easy to fit your bag in. Very clean facility and friendly staff.

Expérience positive: Beautiful first-class facility. The parking situation is an effigy to institutional indolence. It's an "Out-Source" App-based system, where they promise you a voucher code; if they "know what it is today, It changes all the time" The app on the phone didn't accept the voucher code, so the App kiosk provided was my last resort, but visa debt doesn't work and neither did the voucher code, so somehow I managed to pay $12 for 1-hour parking. I probably messed it up, but it wasn't easy to figure out (you have to figure out the zone yourself). I Love the "Out-Sourcing" idea, I bet if publicly tendered out, the operation would be much customer-focused and be a fraction of the overall cost.

Expérience négative: I was at the pool , I watched an instructor with a private lesson for a small child take every possible opportunity To stay dry and not get in the water . At the end of the lesson she was completely dry and did not do her job .

Expérience fantastique: Excellent facility! Open to public for gym/pool membership. Lots of equipment, friendly staff, reasonable rates!

Expérience fantastique: Went to the fitness centre. They've got a good system! Pay for drop in online, it's easy to book your slot and fairly easy to cancel if needed. 1.5 hour slots. $7.50 for drop in I believe. Everyone carries around disinfectant spray and wipes down the equipment before and after use. Not tons of equipment, but with fewer people I never had to wait for anything. You can bring a lock and use day lockers now too

I want to thank Devin and Megan for being great as well as James for encouraging me through the course. You guys rock!!! Keep up the great work you're doing at MacEwan!!!

Expérience fantastique: MacEwan University’s fitness centre has kind of an odd shape to it, kind of resembling a zig zag. Aside from that, this facility offers very nice equipment and the culture here is also very positive with the student population. It can be quite busy during traditional semester months (September-April) in the afternoons and evenings, but aside from that offers a really great environment to train in with equipment for any training style.

Expérience fantastique: Well despite being a washed up athlete, this place still welcomes all with open arms. A plethora of drop-in fitness classes rotating seasonally, inter-mural leagues, gym rental, this place has it all. Not to mention the friendly and knowledgeable staff are prepared to create a program for any level for any goal. Plus, the pool is a nice touch if you want to go for a quick dip, or a hot tub to rest those trunks you call legs. Get after it here and you will be glad you did!

Expérience positive: No access to parking pass if you are a student. Students have no choice but to be a member whether they want to use it or not. That being said, it is one of the nicest facilities I have utilized in a long time. It is not usually crowded and you can get a machine right away during most of the day. Students really should try to get here at least once a semester just to say they did it.

Expérience positive: A great pool that is usually very quiet. If you like lane swimming without being bothered by others in your lane, swim here! Just make sure you check the schedule first, it's sometimes fully booked by private groups.
