Expérience négative: I live in Acadia I work Monday to Friday. Why is this facility not open seven days a week.? By the time I get home from work, I don’t have time to go to the gym or go swimming As a taxpayer, I should be able to enjoy this facility seven days a week.!

Expérience négative: Very nice staff, but terrible schedule! This renovated facility should be open seven days a week just like before, and not for four days like they do currently. Swimming is not a luxury! Everyone in the community of Acadia should have the right to enjoy Acadia pool on all weekdays and weekends. Especially those people who are working and unable to use the facility during the current four day schedule, but would like to relax, exercise in the water or use the exercise rooms on the weekends. Also, those who need the water for different health benefits. We are all paying our taxes, therefore we should all be entitled to use the pool every day in our convenience. My children used to go to the Acadia swimming pool for swimming lessons. There are several schools in the community and I am pretty sure that many, if not all of those schools would be interested in swimming programs, if those would be available again. Most of the 5 star reviews are from the past written many years ago. Yes, it used to be great, but not at present. I know that since this nonsense 4-day schedule has happened most of the people are upset, unhappy and dissatisfied with the current schedule. Please, bring back the seven day normal schedule to this facility, and I will gladly change my rating.

Expérience négative: In a bustling community with people of all ages and new families, this place is closed friday, saturday, and sunday. Honestly, I would become a member if this centre if it was open on those days, since it is located so close to my house and i’m sure many other peoples too. It’s a shame, a brand new renovated area losing out on business by not being open over the weekend This is nothing against the staff though, they’re very nice people.

Expérience fantastique: Great community pool, only thing I will say is that the slides have very narrow steps and I almost fell trying to go up, so they are kind of a no-go for me. Other than that, the pool is a 10/10! I highly recommend.

Expérience fantastique: Had a nice experience there at the public swimming pool program and it was free too. Plenty of free parking spots and great staff members. I wish there was a pool for toddlers but there were a bunch of pool toys and slides for kids.

Expérience fantastique: Pros - Has some great programs - love Conditioning Swim! Redone with all new tile - looks great. The staff are fantastic and always willing to talk to you about any concerns. Super friendly! Cons - I wish there were hooks in the bathroom stalls. No hot tub. Parking can be INSANE when the school has an evening event. Even worse in the winter. I am a fan of this pool! Nothing fancy but it does the trick for my workouts.

Expérience fantastique: I know this is one of the old pools in Calgary, my kids used to go here for swimming lessons. But when I visited this pool last week I was surprised with how amazing it looks. The staff was very helpful and pool was nicely renovated.

Expérience fantastique: I recently started attending the fitness classes offered at Acadia Fitness Centre and I absolutely love them! The Bootcamp class is wonderful, and Leona (the instructor) offers great advice on your technique, and gives you a variety of options for your fitness level. The Core Conditioning class with Gail is fantastic for improving your core stability and strength. I've done classes at a variety of gyms throughout my life, and I have to say I'm most impressed with these classes! Even if you're just starting your fitness journey, don't be afraid to join the classes as they're very welcoming and offer plenty of modifications for each participant.

Expérience négative: My daughters first day ever swimming lesson. I pick this place because of the positive review from a friend even though its out of our way. We were so looking forward to it but for some reason she was terrified so they let me sit with her. As I was trying to calm her down, she walked to the other side of the pool as I followed her, the lifeguard approached us and she said talking straight to my daughter and said either you go back to your swimming lesson as you still have 15 mins remaining which she only actually spent like 2 mins in that pool, or seat and just watch , otherwise it’s time to go! My thought was like okay that’s was harsh! Went back to the other side where another disappointed mom was trying to calm her daughter. So for her to get closer to the pool she grabbed these little floaty and threw some of it to the pool. Then same lifeguard came to her again talked to my 3 years old daughter like an adult. All I heard from her was you can’t do this you can’t do that! No sympathy at all! And that’s it were Done! Wasted our day and paid something we didn’t even use. So disappointed! We went straight to the reception cancelled all our remaining lessons.

Expérience positive: Go fifteen minutes before each class so you avoid the rush of previous class and early enough for your class so you don't have to stand in line too long for the showers/ changing stalls.. It's affordable. But with that , comes no extras. Practical, no luxury. Trainers are awesome. Pool well kept. Bathrooms / toilets sometimes broken so do the needful before coming. Lol

Expérience négative: I have taken my kids ton1 swimming lesson, but after these lessons I wont be returning. The come and go for swimming lessons channels through the change areas and they keep.the pool entrances gated off until lesson start/end time. Problem is, the line up is in the shower area of the change rooms. Ever want to sympathize with feel cattle in a chute? Try Acadia. The ladies working there lack any sort of customer experience education. My biggest complaint is the claustrophobia getting your kids to and from their lessons. We wont be coming back

Expérience positive: This is a nice pool for city-run lessons in that we've never been kicked out due to a turd in the pool (which has happened to be frequently at another, unnamed pool). It's a little chilly in the pool (it's not bathtub warm), but it's a pool, not a hot tub. Still, I highly recommend this pool as a decent, normal city pool.

Expérience positive: This is a well kept facility. I like the separate viewing area to watch my little swimmers float and glide. The facility also has other spaces for fitness and health. Lots of parking and a bus stop near by. The one thing that I don't like is the layout in the locker room showers. There is no way to avoid walking around soaking wet on one side, from the ankle up, while waiting on your kid. Otherwise, it's a pretty nice facility.

Expérience positive: This is a nice facility. The staff are awesome! Very friendly, informative, warm and professional. The exercise gym area belongs to the adjacent high school, but I was all alone at the time I went. Some machines are old, but still in decent shape. There are lots of free weights and a few benches to use. The swimming pool is pretty good. The lane swim can be busy, but most of the patrons are elderly and friendly. The water is the best part since they use a mix which includes salt water. There is no hot tub or sauna though, which in part is why they're a tier one facility. Overall, a good place to exercise.

Expérience négative: Very basic gym, and cold (3°c) during my visit due to reconstruction. No hottub or sauna.

Expérience positive: The swimming pool here is well maintained with good swim programs for all ages, it is a standard sized pool and is great for drop in lane swimming. It is defiantly not a water park so if you want to do a drop in with the family, you may want to consider other places. However the gym is very bare bones, if you just need to go and lift weights, use a few machines or run on a treadmill then look no further. If you are looking for something with more (and higher quality) machines and a running area, you may want to try a bigger gym. TLDR: Good swimming, gym to small.

Expérience positive: Instructors are great but I hate that there are boys over the age of 6 in the girls change rooms. A few parents complained but all they did was put up a sign that the parents ignore.
