Expérience fantastique: I swim here with my little kid! So fun and accessible. The public swim schedule is a bit inconsistent, so just check online before you go in case there have been any changes.

Expérience positive: Decent pool, cleanliness is hit or miss. The shower soap provided smells awful. Etiquette for lane swimming isn't really followed or enforced, which is kind of annoying. I also wish the steam room didn't stink like cologne. There's room for improvement but it's good enough.

Expérience négative: Horrible experience. The woman at the front desk on Tuesday November 26th around 8PM was incredibly un-helpful, and very rude. Gave no directions aside from "over there" while lazily gesturing in the direction of the change rooms (Which were a maze). No wet floor signs or sectioning as the same woman from the front desk cleaned the lobby area and yelled at anyone who came close to the area - while making passive aggressive comments about people walking on the floor not even 5 feet away. Rude staff combined with bad hygiene of the facility. You're better off going to literally any other pool in Calgary.

Expérience positive: Weights room has basic equipment, but sufficient for a full body workout. There’s a cardio room as well. Swimming pool and hot tub are good. I never tried the steam room. I wish there were more lockers available for you to use your own lock, but their number is minimal.

Expérience positive: Nice and warm swimming pools. Have bench seating at the upper level to watch the kids swim.

Expérience négative: Staff are friendly, it's close to home. Men's showers are horrible as there is no pressure and it takes forever for people to use. Change rooms are freezing cold. Today (oct 26) someone had a massive poop all over the washroom floor.

Expérience fantastique: We came here from Killarney pool for the first time where was not spotless. Here we are amazed every time we visit: sparkling. They keep scrubbing like in a pharmacy. Water is salty and pleasantly warm and clear. Staff is friendly and attentive. They offer free use of aquatic gear. A great pleasure to spend an hour in the water.

Expérience positive: I always enjoy going to Renfrew gym. The members and staff are really nice. My only problem is with the aqua size classes. There is way too much chatting while the class is going on. Today I asked the young gentleman to ask these two ladies to stop talking, He told me I can move. It’s not me that needs to move, it is the ladies that can’t stop talking. He did nothing and just stood by his chair. I had a chat with this lifeguard as I was leaving the gym. I told him I had to ask them to stop talking. I let him know they used to chat in the front of the pool, however they have been asked to stop, so now they moved this chatting to the back. I honestly don’t think he cared what I had to say.

Expérience positive: I would like to show my appreciation to one of the young lady staff who helped me today patiently, and she was so considered. Unfortunately, I don't know her name

Expérience fantastique: This is a great recreation center where it is possible to find a swimming pool, Jacuzzi, water tank, Gym and many more. This is a place for different ages. Not expensive.

Expérience positive: Pretty nice and good place. Be aware however that the weight rooms are NOT ACCESSIBLE what's so ever. The actual weight room itself has 3 stairs leading down and the cardio equipment are placed up a whole flight of stairs and there is NO ELEVATOR. I'm not angry, I just want to clearly infom any future patrons that are not aware as I do not see anything about lack of accessibility on their website. Staff was fairly nice and accommodated me as much as they could. I was able to workout in the studio area with an arm bicycle machine and dumbells. However I do wish that it was more clearly stated somewhere that the actual weight room itself is not accessible as I would have loved to use more machines.

Expérience négative: .Recently visited Renfrew Aquatic Center and was extremely disappointed with my experience. Firstly, the staff fail to enforce basic hygiene standards by neglecting to instruct people to shower before entering the pool. A lot of people don’t know and they should be instructed. I witnessed individuals entering the pool and hot tub in work clothes without proper swimwear, completely disregarding basic hygiene rules. The unusual high number of last minute closures of steam room and hot tubs are simply unacceptable. The pool's cleanliness was concerning, and there is a clear lack of management regarding overcrowding. Signs urging people to limit their time in the pool or hot tub to allow others a chance should be prominently displayed. The perpetually wet floors pose a safety hazard, particularly for seniors like myself. As a long-time user, it saddens me to see the decline in quality at Renfrew Aquatic Center. I strongly advise avoiding this location until significant improvements are made.

Expérience positive: Good facilities, everything was clean. Stuff is nice and helpful if you ask. I just feel a bit disoriented and seem like there were Noone controlling the entrance or ready to guide you.

Expérience négative: I have been attending Aquafit 3 times a week for several years at Renfrew. Before Covid the staff were fabulous, they had a great attitude and really tried to kind of know your name or give you a special wave. After Covid the staff was different, this group is horrible to be around, they apcoukd care less about the ‘customers?’ They are interested in just chatting between themselves. There is the one bully that just loves to yell out orders, never consistent. I seriously think she really dislikes seniors. I just wish they would give Maggie early retirement. It is always a bad experience interacting with her. Thankfully the actual instructors are really good with the odd exception and I just don’t go on the days she is the instructor . It’s too bad that this small location which was friendly and fun is now indifferent and mean.

The place is simply disgusting, it only has two pools, and one always has dirty water, the employee opened the bathroom curtain while I was showering, I am going to report.It has stupid hours, and there is only public time for about 15 minutes. The person at the entrance didn't explain this to us, and we couldn't do anything other than use the jacuzzi, which was also disgusting, the cashier didn't even tell us that we couldn't use the pools, since they were both in classes, they just I had to say "by the way, you can't use the pools right now" instead of wasting our time. I'm going to sue the guard for turning on the shower for my brother while he was bathing, don't go. The locker rooms and the sticky pools, and the security on the cell phone all the time, terrible service, what a disappointment, if you want to go to a good pool go to any other in the city, but please, don't go to this one

Expérience fantastique: I'm just sitting in the lobby, and I have to say that there's a lady who works here, Heather. She is unbelievably kind, friendly, and hard-working. I've been sitting here watching her great most people by name and the names she doesn't know. She has a warm, friendly welcome.

Expérience négative: Initially I liked this pool because it was quiet and clean. But the changerooms are always dirty now, basic swim etiquette is not followed or enforced, near miss head collisions were becoming all too common while swimming laps, there is zero adherence to lane speeds, and discussions with life guards are words with no actions. Disappointed that the pool has become exclusive and not inclusive for all abilities.

Expérience positive: A very small basic gym that could use some more attachments for the machines. Cheap prices. I haven't used the pool to comment.

Expérience fantastique: It's a great place to be when it's not busy

Expérience négative: I have never been more disappointed in the state of Renfrew Pool and Recreation Centre. The cleanliness and approachability of staff have taken an extreme downturn. Arriving at the pool at 6 AM, when it opens, you would expect it to be clean and restocked, however, this is not the case! The female change room (I can’t speak for the men’s) is a complete nightmare, and it is extremely evident that it has not been getting cleaned each night. Upon arriving, most of the lockers are full of dried mud, hair, and garbage. The floors, drains, and walls are typically coated in slime and hair. The pool itself was also full of slime, sludge, and bandaids. The toilet paper and soap dispensers have been empty for some time now. Renfrew has also not been prioritizing inclusivity, seeing as how their handicap buttons are not working and the handicap/accessible shower in the female change room has been broken with no handle and leaking water for almost a week now (thus not having any handicap/accessible shower access). Would love to see some improvements in the coming days with hopes that I can update this review. But for now… extremely disappointed in this facility, do better Renfrew! Updating my review after two months… Renfrew pool fixed their handicap/accessible shower (only for it to be broken again a month in) and their handicap buttons. The cleanliness of the pool and the change rooms is still hit or miss which is why the pool is not yet receiving a 3-star review from me. The soap dispensers in many of the showers have still not been refilled, the walls of the shower still need a good scrubbing, there is still hair and mud everywhere, the lockers and floors in the change room need more regular attention on getting cleaned/wiped down, and the approachability of staff is pretty hit or miss depending on who is working. Would love to see an increase in cleanliness on a more regular basis, an increase in the attentiveness of refilling missing items, and an increase in staff morale.

Expérience positive: Nice dive tank, lane pool is a good length but could be a little deeper. Super nice that it has both a steam room and hot tub although the steam room is a bit narrow for my personal preference!

Expérience négative: This is the worst pool ever for laps. Zero adherance to speed levels in lanes, lifeguards just stand around and talk, wait 20 minutes to use a shower and noisy steam room. Go somewhere else for a positive morning.

Expérience négative: Its so bad I recommend you go somewhere else because they wil kick you out with no warning and you don’t get your money back,they tell you to hurry up in the change rooms and my 2 friends got kicked out then they said that I had to go out too and blamed me of doing the same thing even tho I wasn’t with they the whole time I was with my dad especially for black people there are racist to you and will do anything to get you kicked out

Place always looks clean and the change areas look renovated recently - includes shower curtains which not all other pools do. Staff are all pleasant and there's plenty of parking both sides of the building.

Expérience fantastique: Beautiful pool, friendly staff, the shower stalls have curtains (super cool, Bahan has stalls no curtains and Inglewood has showers without stalls), it wasn't as busy as I was expecting and feel like the hot tub is deeper than most. I'm glad I made the trip!

Expérience fantastique: The front desk people were absolutely lovely, very kind and helpful. It was pretty crowded but I went on a friday night at 6:30pm, so that's on me :P. A lot of lifeguards on duty that were clearly very aware of everything happening at all times.
