Expérience négative: Impossibly difficult to cancel the membership..head office hangs up on you when you dispute and try and cancel and the local people insinuate agreements and actions that didn't take place. Also what is said is different from what the contract states. Deceivers in the business of milking you making it as difficult to cancel as possible. "You have to fax or send us snail mail." Your fax is conveniently off the hook and the postal strike surely suits you just fine doesn't it?

Expérience fantastique: The class I took was lead by Leigh Morton. Absolutely one of the best instructor I've ever had and I would be happy to attend one of her classes in the near future. The room was a perfect temperature, very clean and comfortable. I enjoyed my time there.

Expérience fantastique: I am really impressed and enjoying my journey with Shapes. The staff is friendly especially Bipanjot . Bipanjot has been accommodating and helpful in explaining and answering queries. She answers my questions without rushing even though if she arrived near the end of her shift. The staff enforce the (no outdoor shoes) policy. You have a choice to work out in the co-ed or women's area.The facility is clean. The gym is clean and well maintained too.

They have a wide range of machines to choose from and it’s a very spacious facility. I got two of my friends to start coming to this location even though it’s a bit more of a drive. But service is so phenomenal that we wouldn’t go anywhere else :)

Expérience positive: I stopped by our local Shapes to inquire about membership and to get a tour of the facility because the gym we currently use has had some changes and is no longer suitable for us. Staff member Bi was very helpful and answered all of my questions. This is a Women's only facility however we will go and tour a co-ed Shapes facility so that my son and husband can go as well.

Terrible customer service, no exception, no understanding in people’s health for someone that works in a health environment. Tried canceling my membership after 4 visits I was 7 days late for the cancellation and they would not make any exceptions. I’ve been dealing with an on going health issue for the past 3 years and I cannot work out due to it and they are not taking that into consideration what so ever all they want is MONEY or offering to put your account on a freeze which that’s not an option when my health condition isn’t seeing an end anytime soon. Absolutely sickening of a business.

Expérience positive: I love shapes! I love that winnipeg has a women’s only gym I feel so much more comfortable as a gym newbie! Nice equipment and friendly staff. Only down side is it’s a bit small and hard to get around people/ not be in anyone’s way but no one minds. Would definitely recommend shapes to a friend!

Expérience fantastique: I signed up to kick start my fitness journey in December 2022, the process was smooth and so far my personal trainer Hamed has been absolutely fantastic, and exceptional.

Her classes are always in proper dynamics, if it is a restorative yoga, she will keep you at the just right state of meditation/restoration, if it is a yin/yang class, she will navigate you to flow energy and do active asanas in the beginning and then she will bring you to the stretching Yin part. There is always a room for challenge or to reduce load if you need so in her classes. I really like her instructions and how she spices them with yoga philosophy and little rituals.

Expérience fantastique: I had a gym membership at Shapes vermillion for about 5 years then covid hit and I cancelled my memberships. I took a hot yoga class after I was able to go back i after surgery. I was helped by Dayna B and she was absolutely amazing. She went above and beyond to help me understand all my options and gave me no pressure any point to sign up. I was then given time to make my decision and feel extremely comfortable and excited to start my new membership! If you ever have ANY questions or had a bad experience at a gym I promise you this particular location, will do everything in their power to help you out.

Had an issue here before but it was a one-off case and not indicative of the club as a whole. When the General Manager of the clubs-Christina-found out, she went to **great lengths** to show me she valued my happiness and satisfaction! She has always been very communicative and graceful in our conversations and I appreciate the integrity she brings to Shapes. She respects my communication as well and welcomes it fully. There is much value put in their customers; we are not merely numbers to them. For this I am grateful.

She booked my appointment for membership information and right 7 minutes before appointment, she called me to cancel the appointment. I was driving and couldn't receive her call. Upon arriving for appointment, she told me that she doesn't have proper information about my query. She told me that she'll call me within an hour to provide me answer of all my questions but she never got back to me.

Expérience négative: Last year I purchased a membership with personal trainer to improve my health. After telling the manager about my health condition they told me the best course of action would be to take the personal trainer package. Unfortunately my health got worst and every time I went to train they pushed me beyond my limits and I was in excruciating pain for weeks after. I had to cancel many appointments due to the pain not subsiding. When I tried to cancel my account due to my health and finances deteriorating with Covid I was told the only option I had was to freeze my account. I was not told that the end date of my contract would be pushed 3 months due to this. I’m very frustrated with the miss information this company has provided and the feeling of false hope you have given me to regain my health. I am now loosing so much money with the shapes plan and even more with my increasing medical bills. On your site you said “ The quality of our health determines the quality of our live and nothing is more important than that”. This company has only cause more health deterioration, my quality of life has significantly gone down due to the false hope you give and the miss information you give your clients and the dept am now I am collecting. If you are true to your words, please let me cancel my membership to be able to focus on my health.

Expérience négative: Probably one of the worst experience I’ve had. The staff have minimum to zero information about the gym policy. I’ve asked many times about something and they would answer and it would later turn out to be wrong. This is one of the worst gyms if you want to sign up for a gym I would recommend good life fitness or planet fitness. I was so done with them that I ended my membership four months early. If I were able to give zero star I would. I am never coming back again waste of money.

They need to put up blinds, to keep it cooler in the building and need to install ceiling fans everywhere... Very uncomfortable ... hot Dayna, and all staff are very professional and accommodating!! The gym is always very clean. ..I see Rohan Pathak for personal training sessions, 3 times per week and I am seeing results many results in my strength, endurance, fat loss!! I would definitely recommend Rohan to anyone!

Expérience fantastique: I returned to the gym this past end of July and signed up with a trainer. After gaining more weight during lockdown and having work from home I really needed the change. The main reason I wanted shapes was because it was all women's and I have some anxiety about exercising in front of men,so was a bit hesitant to choose a man as my trainer but I do not regret it. My trainer is Rohan and I see him twice a week for personal sessions,in this little bit of time he helped me so much. My strength is Better,endurance and lost few inches of my waist already. He is really awesome to work with and keeps a light atmosphere,having him as a trainer helped me with my anxiety about exercising around men as well. He is amazing! Highly recommend

Expérience négative: Don't ever give this place your phone number. Extremely pushy to get your money, and will phone you non-stop. I toured the facility in the hopes I would find a gym that was suited to me, I wanted to take a look to see what the gym had to offer and after a five minute tour I was immediately sat down and made to feel as if I didn't have a choice but to sign up. I stressed that I was just browsing. Now I get phone calls every week and today have had to block their number. Don't waste your time here.

I love that it is women's only and accessible 24/7. Shapes has helped me to greatly improve my physical health, emotional health, fitness and boost my confidence.

Expérience négative: I have to say, I was hoping I wouldn’t ever have to do this to a business. With this pandemic, i started my own gym and decided I would not need a gym membership anymore. When we went into full lock down, I emailed asking to cancel my membership. They told me I had to wait until they opened. Fine. When they announced that restrictions would be lifting, I commented on their Instagram asking if we would be able to cancel our memberships now. They responded with “this pandemic has been devastating”. I again asked if we would be able to cancel, as they did not answer my question. They said yes. The next day I was blocked on Instagram. I then commented on a Facebook post saying that I thought it was very unprofessional that I had been blocked from somewhere because I wanted to cancel a membership. The comment was deleted. I then resorted to email to ask how I can cancel. They told me to accommodate people who were working out, that they were waiting until February 22nd before allowing cancellations. This obviously made me upset because I just wanted to get it canceled. I then got an advertisement for low new member rates on Facebook. I commented asking how it’s fair new people can come in to sign up but I cannot cancel a membership. I then got a very condescending email from someone who identified themselves as a “consultant” (not sure why that info was relevant to me) saying that I was clearly confused on the process because I keep commenting on their social media pages. I advised her I was most definitely not confused, rather thought it was funny they were clearly making it difficult to let me cancel my membership. (We’re in a pandemic, they could accept email cancellations but choose to make it hard!) Today, I realized I hAve limited access now to their Facebook page. This is not a place you want to give your money. I am deeply disappointed they’ve received so much of my money, just to receive such poor customer service. Would not recommend!

Expérience fantastique: A very pleasant workout studio suitable for all ages and fitness levels. Great staff. I particularly am impressed with Dayna who works the front desk and other duties as assigned. I shared with Dayna a request to consider a trial class in Warm rather than Hot yoga. She listened and said she would mention the request at the next meeting.

Dayna and her team does a great job in keeping the facility clean and someone is always available to provide assistance when needed. The instructors are AWESOME! To name a few:- Ashley (Group Fight); Jennifer ( Zumba) and Crista (Group Power) these instructors are amazing! They are always on time, provide alternatives if the move is challenging, full of energy and keeps the momentum going and are always welcoming to new members. I would love to see Amy Thomas back at this location with an additional Zumba class. Shapes on Vermillion is a great place to workout!

Expérience fantastique: I really like the smaller size of this gym because it is less overwhelming to me. I also like the variety of equipment that is provided. I recently started going to the group ride class with Kelly and I'm hooked! She is really friendly and energetic! I love how enthusiastic she is about helping us have a great workout. I will definitely be trying out her centergy class next!

Expérience fantastique: They were amazing from the moment I walked. Dayna took the time to show me the facilities and go through their program during my sign up process. There was no pressure and they were ok with me taking the information home, as I'm on a fixed student budget. When I came back they set me up with a personal trainer and booked me for an additional 3 sessions for their current discounted price. I've had one training session so far and I feel great about it! They're very kind and understanding of my limitations but also don't let me use it as an excuse. The hot yoga here is also fantastic! I would recommend to anyone

Expérience fantastique: I've been going to shapes for a while but this location is my favorite. The staff are super friendly and the options for classes are great. Having it be a women only gym just takes off a lot of the pressure that comes with the gym aswell, as it opens up machines that are normally taken or are super busy. It's a great environment plus it's open 24/7!

Expérience fantastique: This location is absolutely amazing, alot of the credit goes to their staff. Not only were they super helpful, they were also so warm and inviting. The class instructors were amazingly motivating and made sure that everyone kept up without sounding pushy. The locker rooms are very clean. And with the location being tucked in the corner it eliminates that awkward feeling of being watched by the public outside. Absolutely love this place.

Expérience fantastique: My friend got me a 5 day pass to try out the Vermillion Shapes. Due to a hip problem it was easier to get in to the venue as opposed to my usual gym. When I explained this to Dana she was very helpful and understanding. No pressure to get a membership but the info was given in case I may join at some point. Very positive experience

When I called last week I wasn’t aware that the fob request would be done so promptly and when I went in to pay this afternoon, the fob was already there! In addition to the staff being extremely helpful, they are also accommodating, friendly and kind.

Expérience fantastique: Great gym. I really enjoy going to this location. Its smaller and less intimidating. I'm a new member as of January 2019 and this is the first time I've stuck with going to the gym. Ive recently starting going to some of the classes they have. My favorite so far is group ride with Kelly. She is such a wonderful instructor, shes so friendly and always smiling and cheering you on through the whole ride. Ive also done her group centergy class. It's such a nice calm class but you definitely work up a sweat fast. My next few classes I'll be trying out will be the group blast and group power!! Your trainee staff Randip didn’t explain the validation time for $10 of 10 times is 10 days before we bought it in store. We told her we already purchased group coupon when I walked in the gym. I would use coupon rather than purchasing $10 pass if she told me the validation time. It was her job and responsibilities to tell clients these information before we pay. After she showed me the contract, I found the validation showed on the paper, I asked her what was that. She said she forgot to tell us. As a staff of shape, u r representing this brand. And u can’t ask client to pay for ur mistake. Even when she talked her manager through the phone, hiding the fact that she forgot telling me the validation time at the first beginning when I asked for information. Then she lied to us again cuz she told me her manager agreed with refund, just need sign some paperwork. I confirmed her twice and she said just need my coupon code and $20 will transfer me back through head office. And when I saw the paper she asked me to sign, I noticed it’s a note to request but not guarantee. Then I told her it was not the same as what she told us before. She said her manager will look at these then make a decision. What the hack!! Randip told me it was already approved refund through the phone call and after she got my coupon information to active it and telling me it’s not for sure. Such a big lier and that’s the answer I sitting there waiting for more than one hour. I couldn’t believe first time I walked into shapes and that was what Shape behaviour. I really disappointed of SHAPES!!!!!!!!

Expérience négative: Really like all Yoga classes there. Instructors are polite. Most of the staff is warm and welcoming however had a very bad experience with 'Manager Dana'. People come to Yoga to relax but whenever I got chance to meet her, I never received greeting with a smile or any effort to accommodate rather it was disappointing experience both the times I met her. Would rather prefer going to other locations than this one where you feel valued.
