Expérience fantastique: I have nothing but good things to say about this place. I had to stop my membership because I’m moving, and it really pains me to do so, because this is by far one of the best gyms I’ve ever been to, and I’ve been working out for roughly 15 years, in several locations and in different countries. The place is very clean, and the staff members are the best. It was a great experience overall.

Expérience positive: Hours of operation are annoying. Not even open for 12 hours on weekends. Latest they are open is 10pm throughout the week. Hard for working people to fit Xanadu into a busy schedule.

Expérience fantastique: Just joined recently and absolutely love this gym. Super spacious, never busy, great steam room and sauna, showers laid out well, friendly staff.

Expérience négative: Whole organization is a scam just aiming to take payments from all their clients. They treat you nice when you are there to join and explains a lot of about the company. At the time of contract expiry, they are very weak in communication. Scenario: Me and my two friends joined together under 1 year contract. And due to covid they put our contract in hold due to lockdown. And it got extended till 2 years. And now when the contract got expired, we did call the premises and confirmed with them that these contracts are no longer valid. Apparently it came to our notice that Xanadu has been pulling payments from our account even after that verbal confirmation. Also employee we spoke to failed to pull up my accounts (call records should be available if we are forced to submit) . Xanadu stated we are making false accusations and employee can pull up even expired accounts. We understand that, but you should train your employee well then, they are your voice. if an employee confirms that the contract is expired and also failed to pull up an account, what we should assume from that. And we contacted again, now they are asking for a written statement in order to cancel the contract. (and its stated in the agreement). wow. what a cunning way to make money Xanadu. Shame on you. Regret in joining this unfaithful fitness center. NOT RECOMMENDED.

Expérience positive: I’ve been coming here for years and really enjoy the atmosphere and convenience of it. Pretty bummed that i don’t have access to a couple rooms that I used to. However, I do understand the business had to evolve with COVID losses, just sucks as a regular member. Still a great gym with a good value.

It is such a fun and caring environment where I learn new movements, different ways to push my body, and make new friends. All while feeling great and having a better mental health. I am truly grateful for the amazing staff and energy they put into each workout by making them all different. I would recommend this gym and studio to all my friends and family!

Expérience fantastique: I know this gym has bend over backwards to accommodate the hundreds of people who weren't comfortable coming back and did not charge anyone for 9 month out of the last 12 because they were closed. Anyone writing a negative review because the gym cannot continue to offer free holds forever should give their head a shake. If they continue without revenue because everyone is on a hold or cancelling it will cause them to eventually close and we will all end up back at that filthy Goodlife at Manning road. I do not want that to happen. I will support you guys forever. Keep up the great work!!

Expérience fantastique: Very clean and state of the art facility. I’ve been to many gyms where I end up not going anymore due to it being gross, boring, or dirty but not xanadu. With the constant air exchange, the facility always has fresh air, and the all the equipment is state of the art with a disinfectant cleaner to ensure everyone’s safety throughout COVID. I recommend xanadu over all the competitors, despite the extra cost. If you live in Lakeshore, Tecumseh, or Belle River give Xanadu a two week trial.

Expérience positive: Good gym. I think they're doing a pretty good job right now considering all the restrictions with covid. I feel like they could use some other equipment and some things are missing since all the changes with covid. But hey, I'm just happy to be back. Still a great gym to go to.

Expérience négative: I Tried to cancel my 1 year membership over the phone in sepetember. they said my due to covid my contract had to be pushed to january. I understood this and had no problems.I had asked for them to make a note on my account NOT To renew my memebership. I waited for January to roll around for my final payment. I assumed everything was ok, until February 26th where they took another payment from me. I tried calling 5x times today to get a hold of the sales manager from 7am and finally got a call back at 6:30 pm Cancellation fees are now $90 for something that should have been dealt with back in sepetember. I tried to convey this over the phone, but the sales manager kept cutting me off and going on a rant. Sales manager claims I named called but no names were said during the conversation. Sales manager, Kattie Kip was very unprofessional and threatned me to send me to collections. This is not how to deal with customers. I normally support small businesses and wish them all the best but not when it is at the expense of bluntly ripping customers off.

Expérience négative: After being a member for more then 5 years. I wasn’t able to text a number to book my workouts. I would rather call and talk to a human being didn’t think that would be a big problem considering it’s such a little accommodation. The general manager would not allow me too however I talk to the morning staff and they were willing to accommodate me. Yesterday I was suffering a panic attack after my work out and I told the staff I felt like I was going to pass out. They said we can not help you you need to leave NOW. I was in such shock. I am a nurse and they’re not handling the situation properly. I have to wait outside in the cold for 15 to 20 minutes before my anxiety subsided and was able to drive home safely. This business only cares about taking your money. They will not accommodate anybody with any medical conditions that are not obvious. Which is sad and I will NEVER recommend this gym to anyone with medical conditions. The general manager needs to be accountable for her actions and how poorly this Business handles medical emergencies.

Expérience négative: Members of Xanadu received an email from the club explaining that they are financially strapped due to the facilities extended closure during COVID and are being asked to recruit new members and consider returning the the gym. The email ended with this statement: "The membership fee we all pay is “trivial” for most of us especially when you consider how other cash “leaks” form our pockets by “hook or crook”, for numerous other things in our lives. Most important of all perhaps is the mental health value of working out. The club affords many of us a “quiet” space away from numerous other demands upon us……" To assume that we all have cash “leaking” from our pockets is a very presumptive statement. The pandemic has had an economic impact on many people outside of the service industries and to some, a monthly membership fee is likely not “trivial” if they have lost their job and are struggling financially. A membership to many is a privilege not a basic necessity.

Expérience fantastique: Just started small group training last week. Learning a lot of new exercises and love the variety of the circuits. Never doing the same thing twice.

Expérience négative: Have no issues with the gym, great facilities. Had been in contact with the sales manager in regards to closing my account due to relocating. I had asked very politely for clarification on what the contract had stated in regards to having a pause on the contract due to COVID-19. She re-stated what the contract said and goes to tells me that she is "not going to fight with me about terms of the contract". Being in sales it just seemed odd how hostile and unprofessional a sales manager can be when I was just asking for clarification and did not come off as argumentative in any way. It is a shame because I had planned on returning to the gym if I had ever relocated back to the area, but definitely not after such poor customer service.

Expérience fantastique: Zero complaints. Fantastic equipment, variety of fitness rooms. I love the power lifting room with around 10 power racks and the turf to push the sled. Outdoor gated turf with the tractor tires is a great touch. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Change rooms/showers make you feel like you’re in a 5-star hotel. Best gym I’ve ever been to. Military-friendly. I received a military discount and am saving $10/month.

Expérience fantastique: I've been a member at Xanadu for about 2 years. I tried other gyms but never stuck with a regular workout plan. I feel I've found my home gym here and am so happy. It's warm and welcoming. The most comfortable gym with the friendliest staff. I now go regularly and have been able to keep myself in "decent" shape but had stubborn areas that I'd not been able to hit on my own. I joined Xanadu's Fall Game Changer to see what it could do for me. Small group training has been the main component of this program and under my trainer Tom's expert eye I've been able to lose body fat that I was unable to lose on my own and gain muscle in areas I was unable to gain on my own. The gym is full of equipment that I had no clue what to do with until small group training. The different things we use in class are fun and the hour flies by.....and the results are fantastic. Yesterday I felt it was time to shop for some new jeans. I knew I'd either be down a size, or that my old size would fit better at least, but to my surprise I was down 2 sizes! With 4 weeks still to go in the program, I'm so excited to see what body changes are still in store for me! If you're stuck and can't seem to get the results you want, consider investing in small group training at Xanadu. For me it's been a true "game changer"! Thanks Xanadu and Tom for this great opportunity!!

Nearing the end of the 8 week fall program, and I have to say I am very happy with the small group training I have taken part in. I see and feel the positive changes. Each class is well planned, explained, and trainer Jack Chanko is always attentive. Glad I participated!

Expérience fantastique: Just completed my first small group training this morning. The class was excellent! The workout was planned and fit perfect in the hour time frame. It was challenging, but manageable. They were also many options to make the stations more challenging.

Expérience fantastique: The Fall Game Changer Challenge has encouraged me to push myself in getting into the gym daily. I am currently doing the one-on-one training, and am starting Week 2 of this challenge. Everything about Xanadu is enticing; the atmosphere, the trainers, the staff, the members, etc. I have never felt more comfortable, and more willing to go to the gym. I crave it.

Expérience fantastique: Heading into week three of the Fall Game Changer challenge, I am feeling energized and motivated! Lucas is an awesome instructor, super positive, knowledgeable and ready to help with any problems or questions. I'm extremely glad I decided to get out of my comfort zone and sign up for this small group challenge, and I don't think I'd be as able to keep up had it not been for the personal training I did back in March with Collin. Collin showed me so many things in just the four sessions we had that have helped me feel confident in the Game Changer, and it has allowed me to really push myself.

I have found with my experience over the years in the fitness industry that Xanadu Health Club is the best Fitness Gym in Windsor Ontario to work for. I am a Trainer and an Instructor. I have an amazing turnout in my Spin class with members that work very hard and are dedicated to Cycle/Spin at Xanadu. The Staff and Management at Xanadu Health Club are truly amazing down to earth and very welcoming people.By far the first gym I can call my home.

We love the location the facilities are awesome they even have a women section for women, the shower have rainforest stalls, the steam room is huge the staff is extremely helpful and very encouragingi would recommend this establishment to all my friends and family.

Expérience positive: Expensive, but you pay for the facility you get. Just renovated the gym and it looks good. However be warned that if you plan to go to the gym at night, they turn their TVs off and shut the music off 15 mins before they close. I was watching the last 3 minutes of the Raptors playoffs game at 10:45pm (they close at 11pm) and Tom turned the TV off without even acknowledging that I was watching. Not to mention I came to the gym for the sole purpose of watching this game. Lack of consideration towards their customers. Otherwise good gym and ah nice Sauna.

Expérience positive: My overall experience of Xanadu is great. The staff, cleanliness and the fact that they thought about many things prior to opening is a large bonus, but there are a few things that are frustrating. The gym is very clean, but what I do not understand is when the staff is making shakes and their hair is hanging in my food, why? Hair is very dirty. Why is this not enforced? I mentioned it to the owner, she looked at me as if I had 3 eyes. The equipment needs to be upgraded as well. It seems that too often the equipment has a out of service sign on it, for a great amount of time. Dave, if you are reading this please take note, and make a difference. Xanadu is a worthwhile gym. Let's resolve the issues that your members are complaining about.

Expérience fantastique: My favorite gym! Great staff, clean environment, nice machines and a great smoothie bar. This is the only gym that I feel motivated to walk up in the morning to go do a work out. I have been to many gyms in the past. This one is my 2nd home.

As an American, I think their prices are really fair and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. The one thing missing is towel service! They should consider adding this as an add-on service.

Expérience négative: member for 3+ years, owner is very unprofessional and cheap, many many machines are broken and have been broken for months, they refuse to update any machinery, a lot of it is out dated. Hours on the weekend are terrible. It was the last straw when I walked in on an employee being ridiculed at the front desk by the owner, I then cancelled my membership and recently joined goodlife, what an amazing difference compared to this place. wouldn't be surprised if xanadu went out of business in the next coming months.

Expérience négative: Just went for a tour today. I was very clear that I have issues with my knee. I asked repeatedly about the 30 day free trial explaining I didn't want to pay for something I may not be able to use. Every thing looked good. Went home got changed came back and was told of the 30 dollar plus tax fee. Then when 30 days run out you are charged more for less. BE MORE CLEAR!!! You wasted my time. I didn't expect anything for free but their website doesn't mention any fees. So I asked if it was free "because, yes I miss read ad and thought I saw free trial." and repeatedly was answered with "yep, yep."
