Expérience fantastique: I've had many gym memberships thru the years since I was 14yrs old Vic Tannys.. The Staff is Respectful and Courteous, very clean, equipment well maintained, and fellow patrons and staff are like family. I don't partake in the classes much as it conflicts with my work schedule

Expérience positive: Good gym. I wish they would expand their daycare hours though. Makes no sense the weekend is limited hours Saturday and closed sundays. You think they would be a little more accommodating.

Expérience négative: I registered in crunch fitness since 2018-2019 and after 6 months i got job offer outside the city and left the city. I called them trying to cancel my membership and every time i call they tell me i have to show up in their branch to cancel my membership, and the people who received my call they got such a short temper and never understand me or even trying to help me, so I waited to finish my contract and then I called them again ( i paid full year fees) but they never try to help me or solve my problem. Until i paid 4-5 years of gym membership without me noticing they are charging me until 2024 and when I called the manager su smith she gives me such an attitude over the phone without understanding her client frustration for getting him paying fees for 4 years without being in the gym once Overall I never recommend anyone to register at such a toxic environment of staff and gym

Expérience négative: Machines never get fixed Showers always broken It's so sad that the owner has to beg her customers to give good reviews. People their steal. And she doesn't even have cameras. 3 treadmills have been broken for like a year. Don't believe me. Go check for yourself

Expérience négative: I recently had surgery and I was late on two payments and the manager sue, went and still charged me an annual fee. Crunch fitness is a joke, I recommend you doing push ups at home. Crunch fitness you guys are legit thieves.

Expérience négative: A lot of machines are broken but you get what you pay for. My biggest issue was the manager there, a lady named Sue. She literally sat me down and convinced me not to cancel my membership (despite me moving out the area) by telling me a development was starting soon on a new location near me. She froze my account and still charged me after the freeze was done. There are so many better/cleaner gyms in the area for similar prices, better machines, and way better policies that don't unfairly lock you in. Choose wisely

Expérience négative: This gym feels like it is scamming me. They won’t allow me to cancel my membership and I have contacted Sue Smith their manager apparently and still have not gotten and email back. I called the gym and it is the same result where they run around.

Expérience négative: Started to go back this month. Seems about the same as before. Some equipment out of order but still fewer than last time. My concern is the noise level … don’t mind the usual PA music it’s at an appropriate level but today I had to leave because of the LOUD speaker music blasting from a portable unit used for a workout session on the treadmills. I could not hear my personal music. It also appears the speaker was so positioned that the speaker was directed away from the two participants in the group … I guess if it was turned towards them the volume would be too uncomfortable and I guess turning the volume down would not be an option (and the trainer(?) might have to put down her phone to concentrate on her charges)

Expérience positive: Great place to get a quick work out. Lots of improvements since I joined in 2018. Ameen on night shift is very helpful. Keeps the gym organized at nights and always says hello to members. They need to fix the air dryers in the change rooms...they are set for toddlers to dry their hands. Add a sauna and this would be 5 stars review.

They opened the daycare for women that were being removed from Movati because they didn’t want to have daycare there anymore! Expérience négative: Dirtiest gym in all of Windsor that I've visited. Until they clean up their facilities, I will not be back. To the Crunch Owner/Franchisee/Management, you sadly have earned the reputation of the dirtiest gym for a reason. Can't even get a drink of water with that nasty water fountain. Watch the video to see how nasty it is. When this gym literally cleans up their act, then I'll be give it another shot.

I am now getting messages for the second time that my "bill is overdue". I have screenshots, recordings of the call confirming my cancelation. This situation is ridiculous. I would like it fixed as soon as possible. Thank you.

Expérience négative: The facility is rarely kept clean and staff couldn't be bothered to do their job. They're either talking to one another or on their phones. They also use shady tactics to keep you from cancelling your membership, like telling you it must be done in person, then telling you it must be done online when you ask at the desk. I found it was always busy and the equipment was constantly falling apart. It's a cheap gym but you get what you pay for. There are better options around.

Expérience fantastique: Ameen was very kind to get my account issues worked out. It was even before 6AM! His customer service was great and he was very understanding of the situation.

Expérience négative: Spoke to Sue Smith (the general manager) 4 years ago... they cancelled our membership then, and, for some strange reason, turned it on 4 years later and are now sending us to collections. We have documentation (emails) with Sue that state that everything with billing was handled and, as far as we knew, everything was resolved... She refuses to cancel the membership now (again). Ridiculous that she can't get this ironed out and is just telling us that she won't cancel us and we now apparently owe hundreds??

Expérience négative: I no longer live in Canada and haven’t for many many years, I tried cancelling my membership before covid and again a few times during covid while in another country apparently to no avail. Trying to speak with the store gets you nowhere, their contact us numbers are “not monitored” and there is no way to reach customer care at a head office. VERY SHADY and their regional person Sue Smith just gives you the run around… if there is a balance you want then why not tell me the amount owed and show me why I owe that? I would say she is just a scammer but I got her email from the Windsor location and we chatted years ago… So I would advice not to deal with this company, there are much more reputable gyms right down the road that actually have scruples and a CS line!

Expérience fantastique: I am so incredibly grateful that Crunch has a daycare! The staff are amazing and my kiddos really enjoy socializing with new friends. Thank you for all the cuddles and activities you provide while I get a moment to work on my fitness goals as a busy mama :)

Expérience fantastique: Good price for a regular workout. The staff are genuine and friendly, beyond that I see the staff doing their own workouts there. The clients are all over the map in their fitness journey, and I never felt uncomfortable, plus enough equipment that you aren't waiting.

Expérience positive: Good gym overall - clean, has all the equipment you would expect, a separate women's section (if you want it) and there always seems to be enough open machines so that you don't have to wait. This is the only gym in the area that I could find which was both reasonably priced and has a good selection of group fitness classes too, plus other amenities you would expect like massage chairs, guest privileges, etc. Other gyms either have one or the other. They even have a day care area, if you need it. I usually take the group dance/Zumba classes and have been loving them. Both Sue and Allison are great and keep it fun and us moving. I see people of all fitness levels and ages here and they all seem to enjoy it and keep up at their own paces. Due to my schedule, I have been taking Sue's classes lately, so I'll go into a bit more on why I love her classes. - She has a good mix of music to keep things fun. - She's excellent at prompting. Even if you are new, I think you can catch up very quickly. - She does the easy version first and then does the harder, more high impact version. So, you can follow along at your own pace. Both keep the classes a lot of fun and have a lovely energy around them. I would definitely recommend their classes, but sign up early as they fill up :)

Expérience négative: Daycare is convenient when working out staff are great! The daycare itself needs more toys, maybe ask around for donations or add more toys. My children especially my older children are often bored.

Expérience négative: I was one of the first sign up at this gym in 2015/16 when it opened. It was great for years, great staff, equipment, bathrooms, etc..seems like during covid 2020+ and this gym has gone downhill fast. Has to be different owners or at least different management cause no one is at the front desk if you need the tanning bed or massage beds at night, bathroom is degrading inluding cracked sinks, chipped mirrors, etc.. now to the equipment..leg press is almost unusable and a lawsuit waiting to happen with the foot grip pad completely peeling off the base, floor bubbling center of dumbbell rack that's been like that for years, missing handles on leg extension, etc..etc...all in all after moving away and coming back to this gym after a few yrs when I am in windsor it's not the same. Poorly taken care of.

Expérience positive: I have been a member since 2019. The gym has gone through many class instructor changes over the years, but two are absolute stand outs, and have been with the club for a number of years. Sue M. is the most fun, energetic and creative Zumba instructor I have ever had the privilege of learning from. She is regularly updating and learning/teaching new songs. Kim M. teaches a variety of classes and she is always cognizant of ability levels and differentiating exercises and moves to meet the needs of all class participants. I highly recommend both of these instructors, and really look forward to working out in their classes.

Expérience fantastique: Working out together has become a passion my husband and I are great full to enjoy together and crunch makes it affordable so we can both enjoy full memberships. We try to make it to 3-4 classes a week and love John, Manuela and Kim’s classes they are always challenging and as leaders they are knowledgeable and very motivating. I also appreciate the kid care as it gives us the ability to come together without having to worry about child care.

Expérience positive: When Goodlife treated me awful even being a 18 year member i tried crunch and i was pleasently suprised about how spacious inviting and polite and positive the environment was amazing machines and very clean ive tired every gym in the windsor essex area and this by far is the best only reason i didnt give a 5 stars is i wish you were open 24/7 other then that amazing gym and great value thank you for motivating me to be the best it really is a great day at crunch

Expérience positive: I am from out of town, so it is convenient that I can use this facility in Windsor. My review is based on my own personal experiences. When I first starting coming Dec 27 - Feb 11the manager and staff were very friendly and greeted me upon arrival and departing. A few issues I have with this location this time March 13-17 2024. The front desk staff did not greet me upon arrival or departing. When there are 2-4 staff there that is quite rude. This is not part of their customer service as a province wide gym. I get it if they are busy that's fine, but talking amongst each other or on their phones, that is not acceptable. . One staff member was actually sitting on the back counter when I arrived and was still sitting there when I left. The music is mostly al the same genre, having the same beat and very repetitious. On March 17th I asked the team member to turn the music off as it was offensive with profanity. This is not the type of music that I don't want to hear, I can't speak for others, but I am sure I am not the only one. I do not have ear buds, maybe I should purchase some. The studio is dated, with patched holes that haven't been painted since December 2023. This is the first studio from all the other clubs I have frequent, that doesn't have mirrors. There are quite a few pieces of equipment that are broken and the #1 tanning bed has 13 lights burnt out. The second hydro massage chair has been broken since December 2023. Things need to get fixed up and the staff need to be aware they are dealing with the public to be courteous and attentive to members before I would give it a higher rating. Crunch is an affordable gym and with the benefit of being able to go to different locations with the membership. This concludes my review.

Expérience négative: Despite having our account on hold, the gym proceeded to charge our credit card $500 for a trainer without permission. The manager is bugging her heals in and doesn't want to reverse the charge. We didn't use the service at all and the charge is unethical. Terrible. Be warned !!

Expérience négative: Terrible place, will not let you cancel membership. Was told membership was free if I canceled within 10 days, they still tried to charge me a yearly fee and they make you jump through hoops to cancel.

Expérience fantastique: Atmosphere is super comfortable and relaxed. Not sure why other reviews mention it's not clean. It's a pretty clean gym, everyone wipes down equipment when finished using. Bathrooms clean. Only downfall would be they need a better water fountain.

Expérience négative: When I first joined, they called me for a "kickoff" session. I knew this was a sales pitch for personal training and I declined to come in for it. They didn't take no for an answer and kept calling me over and over until I finally went in, only to be roped into 2 months of personal training for an insane price. Couldn't get a straight answer as to what the final price would be until after they had me. I signed up for personal training Nov 30th and cancelled it on Dec 11th. I would have had to cancel within hours on Nov 30th in order to get my money back for both months, as the payment came out on Dec 1st, so now I'm stuck paying for 2 months of personal training. Ive cancelled the training as well as my entire membership due to your incessant, annoying badgering to come in for training. I've since joined a gym with many more amenities. My mother was a member here as well and she has since cancelled her membership due to this. So congrats guys! Because you cant respect a "no", you've now lost 2 members. P.s. im a woman but all reviews of the men's room smelling like urine are accurate. Just walking by the men's room you can smell the disgusting stench on the main floor. Will never be back here.

Expérience positive: This is my home gym and it has a variety of great equipment to train. From the battle ropes, turf, abundance of machines in the main area and women's only area, this location meets my needs. I train here 4-5 times a week and the only improvement I'd like is more than 1 water fountain, possibly one in the women's only area. I recently needed some changes made to my membership to suit my use better, and Sue was able to provide incredible and fast service to help me do so.

Expérience négative: Minus the change rooms smelling like urine. Didn’t have a problem with crunch; till I was cancelling my membership. They make the process so inconvenient. When confronting it, I was disrespected and talked down to by the manager (Sue Smith) if these are the standard Crunch Fitness have for their employees I would not recommend anyone join this gym.

Expérience fantastique: Just finished training sessions with Sarah. She is absolutely amazing! She has taken me out of my comfort zone, encouraged me, showed me things I would not have ever attempted on my own, but most of all she has given me the confidence to carry on and use the knowledge I have gained! I highly recommend this lady❤️ Such an asset to this gym! I love everything about this gym. From management to the personal trainers to the people. Everyone is helpful and welcoming. I have been a member for almost a year.

Expérience fantastique: Crunch is an excellent gym, with all the machines you could need with a cheap price tag. On top of all that, the employees are amazing! Jon especially was extremely helpful. He is cool, and tall.

Expérience fantastique: I started my journey at Crunch with a great trainer named Telisse. It was because of her compassion and patience and understanding that I am in the shape I am in now 6 months later. I put in a lot of hard work with Telisse by my side.
