Expérience fantastique: Beautiful place, with best equipment, best staff. Swimming pool just got renovated and so much fun for kids and adults, with a cool hot tub and sauna. Love the kids playground. Huge parking, never problem to park. Everything is like the highest standard. Love it.

Expérience négative: We planned this days adventure 2 months in advance. We live way out in the country and days like this are few and far between. We spent 2 hours exploring the go active play room, and enjoyed some time in the basketball court. Running around, it was great. The front desk staff was kind. Then we went to spend some time in the pool as a family. 1 Male, 1 Female and our Son who is 6. When we arrived the pools were slow, a few gentleman swimming lanes and a couple in the hot tub. Immediately we put him in a life jacket, getting into the pool ALL together. The first life guard was great trying to turn water features on for him to explore. After first switch, promptly the second life guard came up to ask our boys age. She proceeded to tell us we must be within arms length.. he was 5 yards away from both of us at the time, we were watching him in the shallow end find pool toys. Calmly we obliged and carried on trying to enjoy ourselves. He was in and out of the pool as kids do. Quickly he turned his attention to the floating islands, he made an attempt leap onto one and she addressed us again. This time, fair, don’t jump on the toys. Carrying on the second and third life guard continued to address us and talked about us(point and such). As we were helping him to cautiously get onto the floating island from the pools edge. The third lifeguard addressed us. We inquired “even with us here to keep him safe” she proceeded to advise the kids cannot use the floaties for entry or exit of the pools edge. The remainder of our time there the lifeguards were standing over us the entire time. We could not have a family time together because we were being watched and seemingly judged. Our 6 year old broke out in tears because he felt like he “kept getting in trouble”. He explores many pools in Edmonton with his mom and he knows the general rules of a pool. Our time there was so uncomfortable we left early. Before leaving a group of kids showed up for organized swimming. Once I was dressed. I went back to observe the nature of the lifeguards with the group kids there and us being gone. The life guards were busy scrubbing the deck floor. The place was now packed. The entire time we were there they hovered within 10 yards of us AT ALL TIMES. Yet a pool full of 12+ kids with little to no parent supervision, they decided that’s the time to scrub. This was the most prejudiced experience I have ever experienced. Likely won’t return

Expérience positive: Usually a very great, clean pool and friendly staff! Had an incident where I just paid to go for a swim with my child and had been told by others enjoying the pool that it was being shut down due to an accident. That accident had already occurred long before I paid to enter. The front desk said nothing to me before paying. They were apparently not able to process a refund but could only give a family card. I do not live anywhere close to Whitecourt as I was visiting. So that was a bit frustrating.

Expérience fantastique: A great place with friendly staff that can help you achieve your personal health goals! The front desk staff are wonderful and set the bar for exceptional customer care!

Expérience fantastique: The centre has a small jungle gym inside great for small kids! We’ve stopped here several times and let our kids run around. The cost is affordable for a quick stop. Staff have been very friendly.

Expérience positive: Great field house with a running track above and around. There's Racket ball& squash courts and swimming pool, all for a very affordable monthly membership. There's also a gym but it seems like an after thought rather than a real gym. The gym has also been unusable busy every time I've tried it.

Expérience fantastique: Great pool, huge slide and a lazy River to have some fun for a couple hours. Also very affordable entry fee. Spontaneously decided to bring my son (11) and his friend here on a rainy day. They had a blast. The facility has a great phone policy. You can bring your phone in to get some emails/work done etc. They simply put a blue tape on to cover the camera lenses to ensure everybody’s privacy. I think this is an amazing approach ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Expérience fantastique: This is a great place, but please don’t wear perfume as stated on the rules sign. It really affects some with health issues. They cannot tolerate perfume.

Expérience négative: If you do not want people taking photos in the pool area maybe inform them before you take their money. I had a camera in my hands and planning on taking photos of my grandchildren playing in the pool but apparently that is inappropriate to capture memories in this facility.

Together, we were able to come up with a fitness plan that suited my needs and fitness goals. He is available to have a quick chat when I have questions or need clarifications. (when not working with a client) It is a pleasure working with him. He knows the importance of listening to his client’s aspirations while offering suggestions or modifications to safely push themselves. I highly recommend Ryan to be your personal trainer. He is a wealth of knowledge and a very positive enthusiastic person. Thank you Ryan!!

Expérience fantastique: Facility is new, well kept, clean & top notch. Pools are well kept, attentive lifeguards that are always are on deck and viewing the pools foe signs of trouble. Well managed facility, gym and weight rooms are amazing. Top notch facility for all your health needs. Stay healthy friends.

Expérience positive: Good price for the place but the fitness area only has one power cage so if someone is using it to bench press then you have nowhere to do barbell squats. At least get one more.

Expérience négative: Went to go with in the hot tub and do some work from my phone. Apparently there is a no media devices rule in the pool area. No one informed me of this coming in and there are no signs until you get into the change room showers. I didnt use their facility and they would not give me a refund. Poor customer service and poor policies.

Friendly staff, clean changing rooms and washrooms, and lovely facilities. We live a few hours away but we plan on coming back for swimming, even for a day trip!

The first time I went in the Allan & Jean Millar Centre was when they had the grand opening and cut the ribbon, i moved away for 7 years but came back to my home town and very happy to see them up and operating still, many great memories here! Lots of equipment and something for everyone here. Strongly recommend the Allan & Jean Millar centre over any fitness place in town!

Expérience négative: I love the facility but not to happy with the staff as of late. I signed my daughter up for swimming lessons and there was a miscommunication and they put me in the wrong lessons. I didn’t realize until after the lessons they put me in were over and I called to confirm the start date of the lessons I wanted. Once I realized the mistake I asked them if they could enrol us in the lessons I had asked to be in or credit my account but they refused. I am very upset as I don’t have a lot of extra money to spend and used a gift card to pay for these lessons in the first place. Just wanted to do something special with my daughter and it was ruined. Very upset with their response especially since I have been a loyal patron since the day they opened. Really let me down on this one you guys.

Expérience fantastique: The facility is awesome given the size of town. Staff is great and cleanliness is second to none. Very good value. Just a few things myself and other users have noticed. 1) the nice large t.v in fitness center goes unused, throw some tsn or something on here to look at between sets. 2) 90 percent of people use earbuds nowadays in the gym. It is a bit uncomfortable to have your beats cranked and still not be able to drown out the music blasting through the speakers. 3) how much would it cost to throw a few more channels on the cardio equipment. It would work out to pennies per member to get a better package so a person could watch something decent. Again, this place is super to have. Just think a few small things like this make a big difference. Great job guys!!

They have a slide, a rope, a rock wall in the pool, a lazy river and fun pool features for the little kids. The change rooms don't smell like most places in Edmonton and area. They also have a playpen which is such a great idea in the change room! The only thing they don't have is a swimsuit dryer, but that's ok, those things gross me out. We will be going back hopefully very soon!

Expérience fantastique: I love going swimming and using the walking track. The staff here are always so helpful and friendly. Ashley helped me to get a pass at a low cost due to my low-income status. The pool, waterslide, hot tub and sauna are amazing. It is always very clean and stocked with extra toys to use such as floaties and flippers.
