Expérience fantastique: There is not a single gym in Victoria that can match the energy and vibe of Truth. Each piece of equipment has been hand picked by the owners, trainers, and staff who are all tried and true gym goers or bodybuilders. Also, the gym community here is extremely friendly and able to spot you when in need. I can promise you, train at Truth and you will lift at your best. P.S. Sammy has been killing it at the front desk. If you visit in the evening, make sure to ask for her best dad joke.

As a former athlete in my 20s and an active person in my 30s, it has been a terrific experience to have Tia’s deep knowledge and intense workouts take my health to the next level. I feel stronger or more confident after every training session with her. A perfect fit for former athletes of any age looking to rekindle that fitness drive for life’s next adventure. Expérience positive: Seems like a very solid gym but the memberships are horrible, locking people in for 12 months at a normal price or pay over 60% more for no contract… or students 6 months even though student terms are 4 months. I’ve been to an unbelievable amount of gyms and that’s the worst terms I’ve seen. If it wasn’t for that this would be great as the equipment seems very good if you’re into bodybuilding equipment.

Expérience fantastique: 38yr mom of two young kids. Would never have thought I’d ever set foot in a gym.. let alone a “body building gym”. I was very nervous to start coming here but needed to get healthy post partum and it was just down the street from where I live. I used two of their trainers to get me going in the beginning and they were both excellent. Well, it’s been over a year and this place has changed my life. It’s welcoming, always clean, good vibes, and diverse equipment. This place better stay here forever.

Expérience fantastique: Truth is a great place to work out. It has a wide variety of equipment and plenty of space, so you never feel crowded. The staff is friendly and helpful, and they keep the gym clean and well-maintained. There are also a lot of group classes to choose from, which is a nice bonus. Overall, it's a reliable gym with everything you need for a good workout.

Expérience négative: My experience as a prospective client with this gym was terrible. I had booked a viewing few months back. Unfortunately, due to commitments, me and my friend arrived an hour late. We got in through the door where the online map took us and someone had the door opened. We were walked by the equipment and reached the reception to find it was closed. A lady followed us to the reception and said it was closed and we are late. She mentioned she is a staff there. We were about to leave and said I will apply online as we already saw the equipment available. She kept stressing on using the wrong door even after we apologized and said we were there for the first time, throwing racist vibes. During the conversation, we enquired regarding the gym rules and fees. They seemed to be one of the expensive ones in the island. Regarding rules she mentioned all regular gym etiquette. We said goodbye and were about to leave. Then she was like “let me show you around”. For one moment I felt ‘did I judge her incorrectly’…she seems to be nice. She showed us around which took hardly 5 minutes, shaked hands and left. The next morning I get call from them. With expectation of a follow-up call and I picked the phone. Someone named Josh and who claims to be the owner barges at me with a prejudice mentality. He mentioned that his staff was intimidated by our visit and so they wont offer a membership. I was stunned by his approach and I explained that there was nothing unusual or intimidating. But he was not listening and kept on arguing. The best question here is why would someone offer to show around the gym and shake hands if they are intimidated. We decided not to join this gym as we can’t imagine dealing with these kind of staffs every day. The two stars I gave are one for their equipment and one for their 24 hr facility.

Expérience fantastique: I've been going to truth for 6 months now and it has been an exceptional experience so far. I was intimidated to start working out there, because I had been told it was for advanced bodybuilders and I had only been working out for about a year. However I was hoping to find an inspiring gym environment that I could go to on a daily basis, so I did a drop in and immediately signed up after the first workout. Truth has definitely been an inspiring place for me. I am not a high level bodybuilder, but being around people who are passionate about looking and feeling good and take it seriously has been very good for me. My physique has improved a lot since I started training there, partly from the great equipment and partially from training around ambitious people. I would recommend it to anyone looking to reach new levels in their fitness journey. Truth is an excellent place to spend your time.

Expérience fantastique: Great ergonomic machines with a wide variety. Dumbbells up to 200lb and plenty of supplements/foods for purchase. Highly recommend joining or taking a tour to see if it works for you.

Expérience positive: Good quality equipment and people who workout there are respectful. There is too much crowding of the machines and it really difficult to walk around as there is no space/aisles. This is not an accessible gym by any means and does not provide good accessibility for people with various disabilities. On top of that, the music can also be so loud that it goes over my headphones which can be very frustrating.

Expérience fantastique: Hands down best gym ive experienced on the island, great community, great staff, great equipment. Since ive gone seen at least 20 new pieces of equipment come through. Definitely recommended!

Expérience négative: Scam Alert‼️ I had the worst experience with this gym after 2 years they scam you by saying u have pending balances. They claim that I was on a contract for one year and if u leave the gym in between u have to pay for rest of the year. since I have to leave the country personal reasons and I have informed it to front office as well and they mentioned nothing about this one year contract then or even during when I start my membership. I left the gym, now after 2 years they come with a huge bill. They are now asking for the payment for the facility I haven’t used. It was told month to month while I registered, this gym is a total scam

Expérience négative: Gym bros with no sense. They sent me to some weird collections agency in Ontario for 300.00 rather than mail me a Statement of Account. Usual gym slime.

Expérience fantastique: I've been a member at Truth for several months now and really enjoy the space, the staff, and the equipment available. I've been training privately with Tia since joining and I can't recommend her enough! She's extremely knowledgeable and continuously makes me feel confident and safe.

Expérience fantastique: When I started at Truth Gym, I signed up for 6 personal training sessions with Tia Ricard and loved every one of them. The sessions and Tia’s expert knowledge, encouraging and fun personality, and willingness to go at my unique pace were the perfect ingredients for turning me into a consistent and happy gym-goer.

Expérience négative: Gym has a pricey membership fee and overall a decent layout. Unfortunately, I didn't use it enough to justify the cost, which is partly my fault. However, I was later surprised by a bi-annual maintenance fee that wasn't mentioned in the initial agreement when I signed up for the annual membership. When I called to clarify, I was told that if I didn't pay this unexpected fee, my key fob would be deactivated, preventing me from accessing the gym entirely. I find it questionable how this is allowed. Despite promises that Josh, the owner, would reach out, I never heard back. With no clear way to escalate or resolve the issue, my experience has been marked by hidden fees not disclosed in the contract and the threat of losing access to the gym if those fees aren't paid. Until this is resolved, I can't recommend this gym.

Expérience fantastique: I signed up earlier this year, switching over from Anytime, and I’m so thankful I did! The gym is always clean, the equipment is well maintained and they have such a large variety of equipment I haven’t seen at other gyms as well. The layout makes it easy to work around when it’s busy as well which I love. All the staff have been super friendly and I recently started training with Tia! I’ve worked with other trainers in the past from other gyms, but I actually feel like I’m being pushed and listened to with her. I fell off a bit from the gym for a couple months but she’s made me find enjoyment in going again. Highly recommend checking this place out to anyone considering!

Expérience fantastique: This is very likely the most well equipped and professional gym in Victoria, if not the entire island. Although be aware that you might feel out of place as a newbie, both due to the number of rare and specialized machines (many of which are unlabeled) and the disproportionate number of huge body builders (as in enchanced) who will be in the gym at any given time.

We started working together at a time when I was just about to give up on my fitness journey, she designed a solid workout plan for me and taught me so much. She made something I was dreading feel fun. I honestly feel so excited about working out again and have made so much progress, all thanks to Tia.

Expérience fantastique: I joined Truth in April 2023 as a full blown chonker to work out with Josh as my personal trainer. The gym and training sessions have been nothing short of amazing. I've lost 30 pounds and am getting into the best shape of my life. I can't say enough good things about my experience here and if you're looking for a personal trainer I definitely recommend checking out Josh, just don't steal my 5pm time slot.

Expérience fantastique: I’ve been lifting weight for over 10 years and visited gyms across the globe. This is by far one of the coolest, nicest gym i’ve been to. Its equipped with some of the best machine for advance lifters and bodybuilders. Classic feel all around with some metal and old school rap music blasting; didn’t even need my headphones. All in all one of the best experience i’ve had in a long time at a gym. Special shoutout to Jordan, amazing energy!

Expérience fantastique: Very nice atmosphere, gym is forever changing with newer and better equipment for members, with multiple pieces of equipment for every body part, multiples of dumbells, and all sorts of different stretching gear, medicine balls, ropes, bands and tons of other stuff. Facility is kept clean, great staff up front always in good spirits and super cool, especially Jordan!! Great tunes if you forget your headphones. Lockers for your gear too. Many different walks of life attend too, from first timers in a gym to pro's that just got off stage....everyone is welcome. All in all a great gym for all fitness levels!!

Expérience fantastique: DO NOT GO HERE. Nicest equipment on the island, SERIOUS body building gym, a whole posing room, good snacks, STUDENT DISCOUNT, and awesome members. The only reason I say not to go here is because I want the whole gym to myself. Also anytime your frown needs to be turned upside down Kaylee at the front desk is the way to do it.

Expérience positive: 6 years ago Keegan Beaulieu found me living out of a van. What was Keegans solution? Come get swole. And swole I got. When Keegan tells me this gym is solid, I know this is where I go when I'm in Victoria.

Expérience fantastique: Look everyone has equipments, but the but the gym members there want to be there and it makes you feel good working out. At least that’s how I’ve felt on more than one occasion. Also as a somewhat beginner, I really appreciate Jordan answering my questions and never making feel like I ask too many or stupid questions. I don’t have much to say for the experienced but, in general when less experienced people are treated with respect the more experienced ones are treated equally or better. Cheers!
