Expérience fantastique: I came to Ted with zero gym experience. Training with him three times a week was a complete game-changer for me. Expérience fantastique: I started training with Ted about a year after my husband did, and what a tremendous experience it has been. Truly, I'd never had strength training or weightlifting in my background, and, truthfully, wasn't that excited to start doing it either. But with the help of Ted, I took my very first steps into it in a really safe way and became much stronger and toned up in the process. These sessions are great for couples to spend time with each other and show results. Couple's sessions—recommended!

Expérience fantastique: I started training with Ted about 9 months ago, after nearly 3 years of little to no exercise because of the times during COVID and helping to take care of my son. When I first came to Ted, I wanted to just build general strength and endurance to mainly keep up with my son, who is really active—he's always running around and wants to play with me outside. I was having issues just getting through the day with work and doing activities with my son, and knew I needed to change that. It took a couple of months, but after doing 2 training sessions per week for an hour each, it paid off. I was able to keep up with my son for pretty much anything he wanted to do outside—and still have energy left for work and other things in life. During the sessions, Ted is attentive to your limits and knows when to push them. For my training, each session is a bit different, doing variations on exercises to target the same areas. 9 months after I started, it keeps getting better—I'm in the best shape I've ever been, and as my son's getting older and even more active, I can still keep up with him!

Expérience fantastique: I was a newbie to being in the gym, having always done group fitness or dance. Over the past 6 months, doing personal training with my partner 1:2 with Ted, I have noticed significant changes, both physically and mentally. I'm so much stronger and I have gained so much more confidence and understanding of what my body is capable of. Ted is kind, approachable and knows when to push and ease off. I have ADHD and he never makes me feel like I'm asking too many questions or just not getting it! He is so patient! He always listens and his knowledge is next level. Expérience fantastique: I started training with Ted last fall for functional fitness (I was recovering from a RSI and a running injury) and to get into shape for my wedding in the summer. I had never strength trained or worked with a personal trainer before, and wasn't sure what to expect. Over the past year, training once per week, my strength and conditioning has significantly improved and I was in quite literally the best shape of my life for my wedding. We managed to achieve arm definition, much to my disbelief. I have a renewed love for exercise, which I didn't think was possible after I stopped running. Expérience fantastique: I took advantage of a free consultation with Ted Loo where he took me through his induction process. He asked me all sorts of questions about fitness, diet, sports, hobbies, everything. He then walked me through what was the "hardest" workout I've ever been in. And one of the most original. We didn't stay just in the gym, we were in the stairwells, the building and outside. We concentrated on technique, not just trying to look cool lifting heavy things. He made sure I was warmed up properly, and we stretched together to cool down. It was great. I promptly referred my then girlfriend (who had yet to ever be in a gym so was intimidated with the whole process - she continued on for 6 months); I joined up as well seeing Ted for about a year. I wholeheartedly support the Team at Ted Loo. You guys rock!

Playing high level competitive soccer since a young age I have spent many hours in the gym however I lost the love of the gym until I started training with Ted Loo Fitness. Ted makes every workout unique and intense. He customizes a workout proram for every individual - whether you are somewhat experienced or the brand new gym rookie. With Ted Loo fitness they can help you accomplish all your fitness goals! Expérience fantastique: I'm usually very skeptical of going to a personal trainer. I always think that I can do it myself and don't need the help. Boy was I wrong. Things I liked: 1. Ted did a comprehensive history with me to see what activities I would like to improve on. I golf, snowboard and play hockey. 2. He made a workout plan for me and boy did I get a workout. 3. We worked in a private gym so it was less intimidating After several weeks, I can see that I can turn my hips to hit the golf better, I can skate faster and my stamina for snowboarding was astounding. I highly recommend TED LOO FITNESS!!!!

Expérience fantastique: I've had a great experience training for 8+ months with Ted and I strongly recommend Ted to anyone who's seeking a personal trainer. Before meeting Ted, I've been through 2 trainers - I was very unsatisfied training with them. I noticed that a lot of trainers are so focused on convincing clients how effective their training methods are that they don't listen to the client's needs/concerns. It was so much so that I ended up hurting my back while working out with one trainer in which I was out for months. When first meeting Ted, I didn't have much expectation; I originally told him that I would like to workout for 3-4 months. I also mentioned that I was worried about hurting my back again by working out in improper form with improper workout routine. 4 months quickly went by and I noticed significant change in my physique and in my daily life. With my exceeded expectation, I continued to workout with him until I had to move to Ontario. It was an absolute joy training with Ted.

Expérience fantastique: I started with Ted Loo around 14 months ago. He is so understanding about my MS, torn meniscus in both knees, hip issues. When I started, I could barely walk and move my body. He tailored the exercises around this and understands my limitations depending on how my MS is working that day. Ted slowly increased the weights and is so encouraging. I have lost 92 pounds so far thanks to Ted and his program and can't wait to get the next 40 pounds off and get really fit and back to the way I was over a decade ago. I walk and move so much better. He knows how to train well and I definitely recommend! Thank you Ted for being my friend and being YOU!

Expérience fantastique: I only had a short time to work with Ted but he was very kind and professional throughout my sessions. This is saying a lot as I've had a pretty bad experience with other trainers before, who constantly texted during the job and didn't pay attention to their clients whatsoever. However, Ted was certainly not the case. He kept the workouts challenging enough for me to be engaged and provided necessary tips for each workout. He never pushed me or shamed me into working out but approached my lack of motivation with friendliness and accountability, which in turn motivated me to workout more. I highly recommend Ted to anyone looking to work with a personal trainer who is caring and professional.

I originally came to him to work on strengthening my body for climbing as I felt like I had hit a plateau with training on my own. I didn't expect results so quickly but within a month I noticed I could complete routes that I couldn't before because I was stronger! He is also really great at explaining the mechanics of each exercise which I really appreciate because learning proper form is important to me. Ted knows when to push and learns what uniquely motivates you. Each session is always different, challenging, and fun :)

Expérience fantastique: Ted is the best personal trainer in Vancouver! Me and my partner are both active 3-4x a week but wanted to get strong and toned after putting on a few covid pounds. We found Ted and starting training as a pair 1x week in the early morning at first but loved it so much we upped it to 2x week for the spring in prep for summer. It is very private, spacious and covid conscientious training facility, and his rates are excellent for his many years of experience. My partner and I have very different goals we want to achieve and Ted tailors every session to you, and takes into account what you've trained that week and how you're feeling. My partner has put on some serious muscle mass in his chest, arms, and shoulders and I'm seeing the noticeable definition in my legs and glutes I was after. We're thrilled and can't wait for summer and more training sessions. A +++. THANKS TED!

Expérience fantastique: I started training with Ted 3 years ago. I found him online and he was one of the only personal trainers that had any online reviews at the time. Ted seems to be very established in the industry. Plus his website said that he believed I could do it. The gym itself was recommended to me by a friend (who had trained there with someone else), and is for trainers and clients only. It was a bonus that this is where Ted is based. It has always been a comfortable non judgy place to work out and everyone is so friendly. Since covid they have been able to stay open pretty much the entire time because of how safe and conscientious they are. I feel totally confident that I am safe at the gym. When I started training with Ted I had no idea what to expect, I just knew I wanted to be in better shape for fastpitch. I also had a dream of doing a long hike along the Great Wall of China at the time. Ted listened to those goals and made me into a machine. I immediately started feeling so much stronger. I definitely got more agile for ball like I wanted and a year later I hiked the great Wall too! After having a minor heart problem a year ago I gained a lot of weight and Ted helped me lose 35 pounds once that was straightened out. Check out the pic. Can't argue with those results! Plus he's also just a very personable guy. I have had a few issues over the years such as minor injuries and also that temporary heart problem (not to mention I constantly overheat like a mofo) and Ted is always very conscious and accommodating of this and tailors our work outs accordingly. He always checks in to see how I'm doing before we start and understands how emotional and physical strength are connected which is important for me. He can even tell if something is wrong before I tell him! Personally, to even bother working out whatsoever I need the accountability of my appointments with Ted. I will not do it by myself (proven fact). And when I do have the Ted Time in my life, it is the foundation for the rest of a much healthier lifestyle that I would not otherwise have, and I'm motivated to be more active and eat better even on the days I don't see Ted. I am so glad I took the big step of just making that first consultation appointment. It's one of the few things I can say has actually changed my life and I don't want to think about how much older and slower I'd feel right now if I never did. I'm not allowing Ted to ever retire. He has to train me forever!!!!

I have never worked with a personal trainer before- I have always been athletic and active and played a number of team sports; and never really benefitted directly from dedicated fitness support- until I started working with Ted. Ted took the time to understand my short and long-term goals and tailored a workout program to get me on track and challenge everything I thought I new about health and fitness. My workout routines are not routine anymore (that was the problem). Instead of simply going through the motions, I am actually advancing my health and fitness with hands-on (literally) learning each and every session. Ted is just the right amount of tough and determination; motivating me when I need the kick; and reminding me of why I am there in the first place. My mind, body, and soul thank you Ted Loo! Expérience fantastique: I'm coming up on my first workout "anniversary" and I could not be happier. When I started working out with Ted I had been sedentary for a while due to a lingering back injury. At nearly 50 I could feel myself sliding into middle age decline. Too sore and stiff to enjoy yoga, too winded to enjoy anything approaching hiking, I knew I needed to do something fast. I was terrified of reinjuring myself though. I found Ted Loo Fitness through a friend (who became my workout partner) and after an assessment Ted put me on "remedial" and we got to work. At our weekly sessions, Ted carefully crafted my workouts not just to avoid aggravating my injury, but also to strengthen and stabilize me. Ted is incredibly intuitive and was able to work with me to increase my confidence and help me regain my love of fitness. Over the course of the year, my husband also started working out with Ted and has seen great results. Looking back now, as we approach our workout anniversary, I have no doubt that Ted saved me from a future of increasing aches and pains, not to mention a life on the couch. I've lost weight, my balance has improved, and my injury is barely noticeable any more. I've been able to return to activities like horseback riding and yoga without pain. I look great and I feel even better. Workouts with Ted are a part of my life now; I can't go back to the way things were before. Ted is funny and seemingly always in a good mood. He's attentive, encouraging, and able to break through my occasional self-doubt. He's able to modify my workout on the fly if something isn't working on a particular day. He knows his stuff. I was previously training with another local trainer in Vancouver for three months and felt they were more concerned about me promoting their business than actually training me and getting results. Before hiring Ted Loo, I had met and interviewed 7 other local trainers over a course of a month. What differentiated Ted Loo from the others was his professionalism, experience, and ability to understand my goals. At the end of the day, I knew he could deliver results. After 5 months of training alone, I now train with my fiancé three days a week. We are both regulars and have both seen immense improvements to our physique, performance, and joint pains.
