Expérience négative: Beware of scam! As a tourist looking for a gym where I could drop in, I tried to find the price for a single session on their website but didn’t locate it. The website encourages you to sign up for a free 3-day trial (promo on all pages of the website) so I signed up and received a pass by email (as shown). When I dropped in, the staff told me that the pass was only for folks with a BC ID… although this info was not written anywhere on the pass I had received by email. Drop-in rate is 20$, which is what I was told then and had to pay. The staff apologized when I complained and said that this was done “for marketing reasons”…! Very disappointing and Unethical “marketing” (scammy) practices. It’s ok not to give non-BC visitors free passes but please be transparent and make the information available re: rates. Avoid!

Expérience positive: It depends on what time you go, they're usually so busy during peak hours and you wouldn't be able to workout since there will be no space and all the equipments are in use. Additional stars for a decent size women only area to work out in, but the locker room and shower area are never the cleanest no matter what time I'm there. Bonus point as well for the location as it's easily accessible and close to anything in downtown.
Expérience négative: I initially gave this gym 3 stars, but after trying to cancel my membership, I had to change it to 1 star. The whole process was a complete nightmare. First, they require a month’s notice to cancel, which is fine in theory. But when I called to cancel because I was traveling and didn’t want to keep paying, they told me it couldn’t be done over the phone. Instead, I had to send an email, and get this, they count the notice not from when you send the email, but from when they finally see and reply to it! After four weeks, assuming my membership was canceled, I got an email saying my last payment was declined and I needed to update my card info to avoid a late fee. I updated it within 10 minutes of receiving the email. Despite this, they still charged me a $21 late fee, which is ridiculous. When I got back to Vancouver, I went in person to sort it out. They admitted I shouldn’t have been charged but refused to refund me. In the end, I had to dispute the charges with my bank, and the bank sided with me because of the evidence I provided. This place has terrible business practices, poor customer service, and an unfair cancellation policy. Stay away!

Expérience fantastique: Have had great, polite, professional service from all front desk staff straight through to the personal trainer and fitness manager. The staff is kind and helpful and supportive. There is one review from last week in which the reviewer claims she was treated with misogyny and a patriarchal attitude and went on to blame the front desk staff of being discriminatory to her because she isn't blonde with a large bust... It's very upsetting to see that, because I feel this gym is extremely safe for women and everyone in fact. While I don't want to discount someone's experience, I question whether it is accurate or not because everything has been so extremely professional and equitable and accepting of diversity at this gym. My experience will keep me a paid member for years to come. I trust my trainer and the manager enough that I'd go to them before I'd write a review like the one I'm speaking about. Actually the fitness manager matched me with the MOST perfect match of a personal trainer and I feel great about her. I'm overweight and going to gyms HAS been very difficult for me because of the same issues the reviewer I'm speaking of mentioned, but I'm so happy I paid attention to the other rave reviews and stayed positive because I'm LOVING this experience as well as the people and the space feels safe AF. The women's specific side is one of my favorite things about the gym...and the safety from misogyny and that there aren't a pile of creepy "gym bros" hanging out in corners... Everyone's welcoming and kind and accepting... The spaces feel welcoming and professional, I LOVE that it is so diverse. Try it! It's well worth the very very affordable membership and training fees. Unbelievable actually, considering the location.

Expérience négative: Consider other facilities that don’t trap you into a membership that’s difficult to get out of. It lacks quality in each facility. This entire franchise is a money grab. Many hidden fees they don’t tell you about and their main company ABC fitness doesn’t even offer to accept proper feedback let alone consider it. Everyone is useless, so don’t even bother. If you don’t want a headache, don’t sign with them.

Expérience négative: Worst costumer service I have ever received. Rakeesh at front desk told us we can not come in for a buddy pass. I would have gladly paid for a day pass but it was not offered and I was dismissed with extremely condescending attitude. I was considering trying it out to see how the gym is but now will never be coming back and will warn my friends before going if this is how they treat potential members.

Expérience négative: Terrible customer service and facilities. My credit card had to be cancelled and they charged me a late fee after their charge was declined as I had to get a new credit card number. Refused to refund the late charge despite explaining the situation. They let anyone film in the gym and refuse to enforce their own club policies even when asked. Gym equipment is regularly broken or out of service. There is no AC or ventilation in the gym so the facilities get uncomfortably hot. Train anywhere else and save yourself the hassle.

Expérience négative: This gym is frustrating. It’s always super busy, and there’s usually only one person at the front desk. If you’re in a hurry, they end up calling someone else to help, which takes forever. Also, it seems like there are always toilets out of order. The new bikes don't get difficult even if I increase the difficulty and the tv doesn't work. I thought I’d like this gym because of the nice view, but there are definitely better ones out there for the same price.

Expérience négative: I've been going to this gym for years. Generally it's fine like any other gym except for these couple of things: 1- if your method of payment declines (eg expired card)- they'll keep trying to charge again and again. Every attempt will come with a failed payment fee. 2- frosting on windows to the women's section is not full. Quite frequently their male staff sit behind with a full view of the women's section. 3- this started happening recently in the women's section, never before. For the last 15-20 mins before closing staff would literally stand in front of you watching over to make sure you put the equipment back. While I understand it's gym ethic to put equipment back but standing over and pestering your clients to the point of making them uncomfortable is not it.

Expérience négative: I'm just satisfied with the location and environment; otherwise, paying for a personal trainer is a waste of money cause, for example, you are paying for one year, and you can use it every month, and other days, you have just a paper plan and not train during the month. Another problem I faced was when I changed my card, and they charged me late fees, causing my payment to stop automatically. Even when I wanted to pay in person and I didn't know about the late fees which was not under my control they charged me.21dollar for late fee is crazy.

Expérience positive: I usually love this location and gym but I am really disappointed it has been nearly two months they don’t have any weight scale at all in the whole gym and they keep saying its under maintenance they don’t know when its coming back like we go to gym to see our progress we made and how are we supposed to check out? Also if there is none available atleast put the one out which is in mens washroom out in common area please and I also pay extra for Hydro massage which is not working also and they don’t have any correct information when it will be available I think these things ruins my good experience for this location. I wish I didnt had to write this review in this way but I almost waited 2 months and I think this issue be should be in their consideration so please if you guys can look into this it would be much appreciated

Expérience positive: The staff are friendly and the location is great but the shower stalls are not it.. it smells funny and i don’t think they change the shower curtain often since I’ve been seeing a stain in one of them for a while now. One of the stall clogs so when you shower you are standing in a pool of water. It’s also so close to the toilets so you can smell the stench sometimes. I wish they put more funds towards their older locations too rather than opening new locations. :)

Expérience négative: Terrible experience I’ve had at the gym with Dayana (Receptionist supervisor) Leslie (Receptionist) and Kashis (Sales). I joined the gym during my pregnancy as I didn't need much and this gym was ideal as it wasn't very crowded when I attended. After 6 weeks of giving birth I returned to the gym with the intention of activating my membership after temporarily freezing based on doctor recommendation because I recently had a C-section. The receptionist at the time, Leslie, referred me to a sales representative (I don't recall her name) who explained to me that unfortunately I could not return yet due to an inability to unfreeze my membership before it was scheduled to start and that I could return on May 21st which was the next scheduled automatic payment date. I must highlight that I offered/asked her if I can start paying right away to reinstate my membership, but she explained to me that it was not possible but that I could use the gym just for that occasion while I waited until May 21st. I came back twice and I don’t have a problem but on May 27th When I scanned my card I couldn't get in and again Leslie, who I must say, is very friendly, helped me and explained to me why I couldn’t get in but she came up with totally different information mentioning that the membership wasn’t activated yet and I would only be able to come back on June 4th which I guess the next scheduled payment date again She also said that as an exception I could get in this time, the same thing as the week of May 15. Due to the uncomfortable situation of having to have this conversation every time I come, and to ensure that this time the information was accurate, I asked her to confirm if I would be able to enter without a problem by June 4th since on a couple of occasions they had given me the wrong information. That's where she called the sales representative Kashis and he told me that I have to pay 20 dollars if I want to use the gym today. I didn't understand why Leslie had already let me in, and if I didn't it was because I wanted to first make sure I didn't have that awkward moment and waste my time at reception the next time I came. At that moment Dayana arrived (introduced herself as the supervisor) with a very defensive attitude, saying that I intended to use the gym for free, that they had already let me use the gym for free twice, that I had to pay the 20 dollars and that if I didn't like it, I could cancel my membership. The issue I have has nothing to do with money – and to be honest – I would have paid $100 to avoid being accused of trying to enter the gym for free or to have to deal with this issue that you can't seem ot resolve or give your customer accurate information when I show up to try and do a workout. But it seems extremely unfair to me that the client has to pay you for the lack of communication of those who work at the gym and even more so not demonstrate any empathy and accept the mistakes they are making. I have a newborn baby at home and getting out to the gym is hard enough, I don't have the extra 20-30 minutes every time I show up to argue with your staff about when I can't and can't come, nor do I feel like coming to the gym the day you tell me it's okay only to find out you were wrong and tell me I can work out, only to change your mind and say never mind, pay me $20. $20 – this is all over $20 – I'm still struggling to understand why you'd make a contract customer feel like a criminal over $20.

Apart from that my experience so far and to be quite honest in the past has been nothing short of a nightmare. First off to sign up was a struggle, turns out no one that does the sign ups actually knows their policies and they kept calling me for a sign up but then would have to end the call because they needed to ask about policies they should know before hand.After a month or so of those calls, I finally had to go in person to get my answers. Only to find out the person who signed me up forgot to mention specific things about payments, policies, etc. when I tried calling to ask her directly (less than two weeks after my sign up) I had found out she no longer works there….and again no one there could give me answers to my questions because they “didn’t know”. My biggest issue was that my card on file had been compromised and my bank stopped all outgoing payments for safety. I called multiple times to notify them of this and that as soon as I had access again I would come in and pay whatever outstanding amount was there. I kept getting told by the front desk staff to get a new card. I had to explain multiple times that I did not loose my card but that my actual banking account had been compromised and I wouldn’t have access until they finished their investigation. They decided to rack me up with late charges over something that I had no control over and was more than happy to keep them up dated on. I can understand a late charge but they took advantage and I still paid it all off as soon as I had access again. Since then I’ve come to learn that putting down a visa debit apparently does not work for automatic payments? They seem to be the only gym in this city who use an outdated system just to charge you extra “late fees” on every single payment. I’ve asked to speak to a manager multiple times but I had no response. Anyways long story short i should have just gone with a different commercial gym as I’m paying the same amount as I would without this corporate rate. Instead I’m stuck paying all these late fees. I have paid 4x this month when I’m meant to be paying biweekly and apparently I am meant to pay another $30+ today? Not to mention their app does no work. Every time you go and make a payment it says payment failed but when you go and check your bank statements you see the money being taken out. Like I’m genuinely confused, clearly this place only cares about taking as much money as they can from the members without providing any kind of actual customer service or answers for them. I mean I get it they’re a business that prays on signs up and to lock you in for as long as they can but at least have an updated payment system and offer and app that actually works.

Expérience négative: I signed up to this gym on Monday at around 3 pm,a guy helped me out and I decided to get the premium membership since it includes any location and also because I can bring a friend 7 times per month,today it was the first time that I was going to work out and I decided to take my boyfriend,I was helped by girl who’s name I think it was Ana and she was Spanish speaker (like me) she asked for my boyfriend ID and when she saw the address was in Vancouver she said he cannot do it because he is not from out of town (which I have just checked and it is true) but when I sign up the guy that helped me never told me that!! he told me it was for any of my friends regardless of their address or they place that they are living which seems to me like a false and misleading advertising,apart from this I ask the girl if my boyfriend could have the trial that most of gyms do before you are going to sign up with them and she said that they did not have that and that the drop in was 20 dollars which at the end my boyfriend was going to pay but I told him not to cause it is very unreasonable and such a bad first experience given it was my first time working out there which at the end I couldn’t,I later checked and they do offer 3 days free trials for potential customers which could have been offered for my boyfriend but it wasn’t,they clearly lack of customer service and they just want to drag you into signing up and getting a membership, if you have the chance do not do it,unfortunately I am already sticking with them for one year as I don’t want to pay any other fee, I hope this help for self improvement of the company

Expérience négative: When I first signed up for this gym, I was so looking forward to being a part of this community. Unfortunately, this quickly changed. I liked the She’s Fit side, but it was very small and got really crowded when it was busy, so that was a downside. However, the staff at the front were always friendly. I thought signing up for this gym would be financially reasonable, but that turned out to not be the case at all. From the initiation fees, annual fees, and late fees (despite updating my card), this gym truly feels like a money grab with so many hidden fees that they do not do a good job informing you of. Even when my card was first declined due to an expired date, no individual called me to inform me of this, which I would assume would be the right thing to do. After they charged me yet another late fee this month, even after updating my card, I decided to cancel my subscription and pay the remainder of my next month fees to avoid them charging me anymore than necessary. In one month, this gym that fronts as “affordable,” has costed me close to $200. Would give this gym a zero star if I could. With so many hidden fees, I would not recommend this gym to anyone. I strongly encourage you to take your business elsewhere and always read all of the fine print. EDIT: Reached out to the owner after this review and they were incredibly useless and did nothing to address my concerns. I stand by my previous comments-if you have any self respect for yourself, do not go to this gym.

Expérience fantastique: I've been a member at several gyms, but Club 16 stands out as the best combination of cost and value. Lots of equipment variety to complement any workout plan - the only downside is that it can be busy at times. Camille recently joined the team, and her willingness to assist with inquiries or warmly greet members with a smile doesn't go unnoticed. Really appreciate her effort and good service!

Anything over two fees (member fee + one other) is out of my books and wouldn’t recommend to others. Club 16 has 1. Membership fee 2. Enrolment fee 3. Key fee 4. Annual fee plus something being free but only for a limited time. Oh my.

Expérience négative: They really need some kind of crowd management system during peak hours. I don't take long on machines but sometimes there's always someone asking you how many more sets. Like 3+ times per session. The washrooms/showers/change rooms are also DISGUSTING. It needs to be renovated because the environment is just smelly and no one is really cleaning it every hour when it should be. The women's toilet ALWAYS smells like really strong pee. The Brentwood location has a more decent/spacious washroom.

Expérience positive: The gym is nice. There are two big things that annoy me, a lot of people use or claim more than one piece of equipment or machine during peak hours. On the women’s side where there’s a limited amount of items that’s ridiculous. The equipment on the women’s side is oddly too high… didn’t they make this side for women? Why is it so high. The men’s side just similar weird machine and equipment claiming behaviour. Otherwise, it’s good gym. Similar to others you’d pay for in the same range. The view is great. The neugbourhood is safe.

Expérience négative: I was a club16 member since March 2021. The gym has adequate equipment and the staff are very nice and welcoming here. Their She’s Fit section is also great during non peak times. But unfortunately I cannot recommend Club16 anymore. In July 2023, I had fraud on my credit card so I had to change my credit card. A payment bounced and club16 only informed me three days after the incident. When I learned I immediately went to the front desk to update my credit card details. Club 16 charged me a $20 late fee which is ridiculous given that: a) I have never missed a payment in the two and a half years I have been a member there b) The membership alone is $22/ month, a $20 late fee is not justified here. c) I was not aware that the payment had bounced and as soon as they told me I had showed up right then and there to provide my new details. I asked if they could waive the $20 late fee because in my 2.5 years of being a member I had never missed a payment and I did not know that the payment was even missed AND when i found out I did my due diligence RIGHT AWAY THE SAME DAY to update the details. Management even asked me for proof that there was fraud on my credit card account which of course I had correspondance from the bank and I sent to them. They took a few days to ultiamtely let me know they will not be waiving the $20 late fee and It was my responsibility to make sure my payments went through and I had to download the app to get these types of notifications (which I DO take responsibility for). I NEVER said to Club16 it’s their fault I missed the payment- I understand my responsibility but Club 16 showed NO SYMPATHY and NO ADEQUATE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I wasn’t asking them to take the blame, or asking them to refund me money, I was only asking them to waive the $20 late fee this ONE TIME. I really couldn’t believe that Club16 did not care at all about the fraud situation (even after I provided them proof) and would not sympathize with a 2+ year member (again, NEVER missed a payment) just for a $20 late fee. I am prepared to join another gym and pay extra just not to be treated this way! I have never been this hurt by a business before LOL I used to recommend Club16 all the time but wanted to share my experience to warn others just in case! staff are very nice, it’s just management that’s a mess

Expérience positive: I am very frustrated. I've sent the email to request my cancellation 2 weeks ago and did not hear anything from ABC. I resent another email and requested that they confirm that they've received the 2nd email. Still no word. If I don't hear anything back from ABC I will have to contact my credit card company to dispute any further charges from ABC and Club 16. Update: The variety of equipment is very good, the gym is very clean and staff are very friendly. I changed my post to 4 stars because, overall, I was happy with my membership at the gym and also with the quick response to my original post.

Expérience positive: Bike rentals available here for the Seawall. (The biking is a blast and very scenic!) Plan ahead as there are no refunds if you bring a bike back a few hours earlier. We were disappointed with my husband's bike as the back tire was bald and also bent. Employees did not appear to be concerned on bike condition. Otherwise, convenient location but it may pay to shop around.

Expérience négative: I usually workout at other club16’s - mostly Burnaby area - but because this is located close to were I work I decided to give it a shot - the gym closes at 7 pm and me and many other girls were changing in the locker room to leave - this receptionist called Precious marches in yelling at all of us telling its 7:05 pm we should leave immediately and if we don’t she’s going to leave notes on all of our accounts - ??? - need I remind you none of the girls were fooling around everybody was changing so they could leave. I told precious members have a 10-15 min leniency to change and leave and she said I was lying that was only for staff members. As I was leaving I tried asking one of the sales rep about this and precious overheard us and kept trying to interfered with an extremely rude attitude. I worked at Club16 for almost a year and we never treated anybody the way Precious acted tonight. She definitely needs some guest experience training!!!

Expérience positive: Update: Reducing 1-Star because they haven't even added an extra bench since I joined the gym. Whenever one bench is out of commission you have to waste your time waiting. Would really like to see someone take the feedback seriously. Again, the gym is still clean and the staff is still super nice. Thanks! I joined this gym when I moved to Vancouver last year. Of all the gyms I have used in my life, this has the best location with views of the water and mountains. I figured this review is a good way to get some feedback in for the management. Overall, I really like the gym and will renew my membership this year, but I really hope with the new gyms opening in Vancouver + the presence of Fitness World pretty close by, encourages the management to make some upgrades this year. I will try to make this as balanced as possible: Pros: 1. Location: As I said, perfect location. Has a calming effect while working out. Pretty big gym in terms of area. 2. Weights: It has everything a beginner to intermediate lifter would require. Dumbbells go from 5lbs to 90lbs. There are ample bars too. 3. Cleanliness: The gym area is very clean. Always. 4. Staff and Trainers: Dedicated and always nice to talk to. 5. Cardio Machines: There are plenty and many variations. Even has a punching bag to do some drills. Cons: 1. Machines: The balance is not great. Too many cardio machines (half of them are always empty). Requires the following: More benches (PLEASE), one more leg extension machine, hack squat, hammer strength, T-bar machine and another small dual cable setup would be great. I have spoken to many of the more regular folks in the gym and all of agree we could use a hack squat (hint, hint). You can swap out some of the cardio machines for all or some of these. 2. Washroom needs an upgrade. I am not sure if this is possible due to the space, but surely a bit renovation is required. Bonus: It would be also be great to replace the glass stickers with one way opacity ones so we, in the gym, could see outside! :D

However, it turns out it is LIMITED to 10 minutes per day. Given that day had 1440 minutes, they allow 0.7% of time to use it and call it unlimited. Total scam!

Expérience fantastique: I've been training at this facility for about a year now, I just can't get enough of the breath taking mountain view! The patrons are friendly and so is the staff, always smiling back. I've been training for a few years and plateau'd. My mobility and range of motion was absolutely horrible. I decided to purchase private training sessions and I'm so glad I did! Sylvain and I managed to drastically change my body composition!! We worked on my imbalances, mobility, range of motion, HIIT and cool stuff! Club 16 Coal Harbour is, in my opinion, a lot of peoples sanctuary! Expérience fantastique: I’ve been coming to the downtown branch for over 2 years and love it! The equipment is well maintained, the space is well lit and the washrooms are clean. The women’s section is well equipped especially with the new machines. It would be nice if the space was a bit larger. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. It makes coming to the gym an enjoyable and positive experience. I’m always happy to see Ana Pau and T’Jay at the front desk every Saturday morning. They great you with a big smile and are full of energy ready to help you with all of your questions. I really appreciated it when Ana pointing out an issue with my payment method before it caused any issues. T’Jay took the time to help my mom enroll at the gym and sign up with a personal trainer. The Club 16 was recommended to me by some friends because I was looking for a gym that offered a cheap price for a month. As soon as I arrived I was amazed at how empty the gym is on a Friday afternoon and how much choice I have. Kirat, an employee of the club, showed me everything in the gym and provided a very friendly service. He explained to me very quickly and simply what my option is if I only plan to stay for a month. Expérience positive: T'jay just because of you I tried to give it a shot. But I didn't like the environment that much. It is so busy in the evening, I couldn't find a machine to workout. Expérience fantastique: Club 16 Downtown Vancouver is an excellent gym. I have been working with Sylvain Cyr as my PT for 4 months now. He worked with me to really understand my goals and created a plan to help me achieve them. His guidance has been key in my transformation journey and we celebrate the wins together along the way. The entire team at C16 are awesome and make an effort to get to know the members and provide encouragement. Expérience négative: Frustrating experience. I need to cancel my account and called the facility. I was asked at the time do I want to cancel over the phone or email. I assume that the facility I am working out with and signed my contract agreement can cancel my account sadly that is not the case. I told the girl I would like to cancel on the phone she gave me a 1888, however I didn't have anything to write it down so I asked for an email instead. I don't know what her disconnection was but she got frustrated because I asked for an email and hung up on me. Then I tried calling the abc fitness to cancel my account and I cannot get through to a person because it's not recognizing my postal code. Loops me around in a circle. Very poor customer service.

They over charge clients and when we ask why this happens no one has answers and to many change over with staff. You call and get different people with different answers and head office does not answer you back.Same with ABC Fitness doesn’t respond to your call or email.Very disappointments the way it’s been run.

Expérience négative: Cancelled my membership multiple times and they're still trying to charge me and refusing to acknowledge the request, I ended up having to report it to my bank and change my info to stop them from being able to withdraw from my account. if you look them up in the better business bureua or on Reddit you'll see a lot of similar stories.

Expérience fantastique: I’ve got nothing but good things to say about this fitness facility. The staff are always very friendly, and helpful! All the equipment is up to date, and the gym is always very clean. The manager Jay is very on top of everything, and has always been so helpful with anything I’ve needed. He seems very experienced, and appears to run a very tight ship! I recommend this location to anyone looking for a great affordable gym!

Expérience négative: The worst club ever. Just signed up and they were almost about to charge me for handshake fee. There were multiple none sense charges such as key charge $25, price guarantee fee $25, club maintenance fee $45, membership fee $14 and they were telling me there is another $100 activation fee but they are not charging me for it. Are you kidding me? This is literally stilling people’s hard earned money.

We have different membership options and the one you chose is $14 bi-weekly, we do have more affordable options too. Expérience fantastique: Kenisha is an exceptional personal trainer. I trained with her for a year and am extremely satisfied with the results. She is very knowledgeable and professional, and takes the time to understand my fitness goals and developed a personalized workout plan that is tailored to my needs. She is also very encouraging and supportive throughout the entire process, which helped me stay motivated and committed to my fitness journey. Expérience négative: The cleanliness level in this place is sub-par. And 65% percent of the equipment needs to be replaced. I have tried a few of the club 16 locations, and I got to say that this one is like the black sheep. The others are nice, clean, well-ventilated and the equipment is not old, beat-up or broken.

Expérience négative: Worst experience ever , they gave us the wrong information on the phone , went to the club for body composition test , we asked the receptionist again at the counter and she told us the same thing , we paid for drop in fee and another guy came and said we can’t do body composition for drop in and that’s only for members with personal trainer. Very disappointed and asked for refund , Kashish said , they can’t do a refund and we have to email them and then they gonna send the email to the manager and ….. First you give us the wrong information the. You refuse to give us our money back.
Expérience fantastique: Splitting my time between the US & Canada, I wanted to find a gym not too far from my West End place in Vancouver. I joined Club16TL recently, having day-passed several times. The price value is terrific- there's a lot of great [and very well maintained] cardio equipment-my reward for enduring the resistance training I don't love to do--6 different types of ellipticals, rowers, bikes, treadmills, Stairmasters. I prefer to use a circuit for resistance and the club features this too, along with the usual kettlebells, barbells, dumbbells and free weights. Staff are friendly and attentive to peoples' coming & going. Club members share well at the machines in my experience. At peak times -particularly evenings, the locker space gets a bit scarce, a bit exacerbated by lockers in need of repair but the gym is very much aware of that and has service in to address it as quickly as they can. Very very happy with this club. Great addition to the Vancouver part of my life.

Expérience fantastique: A really nice gym I don’t have any complaints really! Price is great, very clean and they have good, new equipment. I only stay in the women’s section so I can’t speak for the co-Ed area. It can get a little busy and there isn’t a ton of space to use free weights or stretch but I haven’t had many issues because of this. Definitely recommend :)

Expérience positive: I did a 3 day test of the Club 16 facilities, and the truth is that the quality-price ratio seems good. They have 2 areas: one just for women and they other with men and women. The women’s area is well equipped with machine, although it could be better, and the washroom and showers, despite the large number of people, are ok.

Expérience fantastique: I go here at least 5 days a week and I must say that this is the best gym in Downtown. Love the reception team! Always greeting and welcoming you. Lots of energy and they are the reason for me to be consistent to GYM! This facility is kept very clean and cleaning wipes are there for us to clean the machines before and after. One team member is usually on floor regularly to assist with equipment's cleaning and everything. I recommend this gym to anyone looking for a gym that is very reasonably priced and has all the equipment you really need. Definitely coming back here. Great team!

Expérience positive: Decent but needs to improve on cleanliness and air circulation. Around 3 pm, the majority of the gym smells. It's a mixture of rubber and people's stench. If they improved air flow somehow, it would probably be more bearable. Decent for the price but only real negative feedback.

Expérience fantastique: Awesome place to workout with great staff members who are always keen to assist you. Front Desk is a place full of positive vibes. Jatin is very helpful receptionist. I had some payment inquiries, guy helped me with all the questions. Would surely recommend this gym specially when you get waterfront views!

Expérience négative: Dirty always waited for a machine the patrons are certainly eclectic. Guy in jeans and work boots interesting. Staff look miserable we actually joined another club yet still paying club 16 till it expires....ya that's how bad it is!

Expérience négative: If you prefer to workout after work, your membership is unusable here. You will rarely get to use a machine by choose. Basically you are waiting around for something to become available. The club is selling tickets to a sold out event!

Expérience fantastique: The gym is very clean and open and has really improved in the last few years. Has the best view compared to other gyms. Their personal training is really affordable as well actually. The staff are also very friendly and make coming to the gym more enjoyable. Would definitely recommend giving this place a try!!

Expérience négative: Second time I book a membership with them. I took their (promotion of 3 months free). I knew I was moving out of BC in September.. They told me I could cancel anything since the since the 3 months expire a month after I leave.. NOT TRUE i had to canceled 30 days before promotion stop... September 1. Thank you for scamming me with this 3 months free, oh wait it was actual 2 months free... and of course they can't do anything about it and the name of the guy doing my subscription is not in files... lol

Since you joined July 3rd, you got 2 months for free, and you only paid for the initial payment. We also require minimum 30 days notice for cancellation on all agreement types. Expérience négative: I would definately give zero if I could. Cleanness: Absolutly horrible, disgusting bathrooms, alwsys either out of soap and the sink tops always dirty full of water. All the equipments are dusty and dirty. There are no tissues around the gym saving cost just gross wet wipes that leaves the equipment wet for a while. 3 out of the 5 bathrooms are out of service for a while now Staff: Super unhelpful and unprofessional. They are in la la land, always chatting with eachother never pay attention to clients needs. If you ask for help they JUST DONT KNOW Managment: doing a horrible job of following up, training his staff, telling them these customers you see and ignor are the reason we have jobs. Coaching: Makes me laugh to see most of them, not all have taken 2 weeks PT course and charging desprate people $$$$$$ to stand there and talk to them while they are on a treadmil. ato be a coach qnd guid some one tro nutrition you need years and years of schooling and hands on experinece a kensiology bacholor or certificate wont cut it. They constantly talk to their trainees over anything but sport to kill time. You are literally better of watching YOUTUBE videos and train. They attract people into a contract good luck getting out of. Equipments: They have shortage of basics ropes and gear, they dont care to provide. If a machine break will take up to two weeks if lucky to get fixed Busy: Oh Yes big yes, always busy at any time good luck getting a machine if someone is on it. If you workout professionally not casually expect 2 hr in the gym. Head office: Who is head office, no one responds. No care whatsoever Accounting: Terrible, Rude The only thing really makes me come here is the walking distance to my house. Do not waste your money and time if you have better options.
Expérience négative: take advantage of students who don't speak the English language so well, not to explain the clauses of the contract! first, they put an insurance value on the subscription, which if you don't ask to take it out, they put it... you hire pay to pay weekly, but when you ask to cancel they say they will charge another four weeks, what sense does it make, if you hired weekly, because at the time to leave need to pay more? this is like a fine! however it was not explained at the time of hiring! be smart when hiring!

Expérience négative: I have had only bad experiences! First I was lied to when I was signing up, and was told that I would be paying half of what I actually pay… the girl who signed me up was a lier and total con artist and she absolutely knew that I thought I would be paying around $15 a month, and I actually pay $15 twice a month! So please please be careful what the contract actually says!! Then I needed to change my method of payment, to a different visa.. well I still have not been able to, because their website didn’t go through for some reason, and then I called and the automated service was broken and just takes in circles and you keep entering the same over and over again but never get a person, until tried a different way than I was asked to do, then that person couldn’t help me, so she forwarded me to an answering machine lol, but I told that she was getting me the person to help me lol!! So I will never use this gym again!! What a disappointment.. oh I was a body builder for years and I also worked out all my life!! So I have been to many Gyms in North America!

Expérience fantastique: I’ve a member at club 16 for over 5 years. I’m very happy with them especially when you consider all of the equipment you get for $16 per month. What has made the most impact on me is my trainer Logan. I always look forward to our training seasons. This past 2 years have been a real challenge for everyone. I feel Club 16 did an awesome job trying to keep open as much as possible under all of the mandates. During this time I began experiencing vertigo. I could have given up on my training due the the impact it was having on my daily life. Due to Logan I was able to continue my training and not miss many sessions. He knew by how I was feeling how to adjust the training for that day. Now that I’m feeling good again we’re back at full training.
