Expérience fantastique: I have never enjoyed going to the gym and weight lifting but I saw the benefits on my husband and I decided to give it a try. I was lucky to be paired up for personal training with Ishan Verma from the Eglinton/Dunfield gym. Ishan’s broad knowledge of the body, its needs and his super friendly personality have made exercising at the gym 100% more interesting and fun. When I started I had a series of small aches and pains related mostly to my tennis. With ishan’s guidance to build up my muscle, stretching and de-stressing technique I am now able to play without pain and enjoy all activities. Thank you Ishan for pushing me and making the process surprisingly pleasant.

Expérience négative: Absolutely hate that this place is no longer 24 hours. Been coming here almost 4 years and now Im debating cancelling. The new Yonge Eglinton center gym is underwheliming, subpar and doesn’t have the equipment I need. Because of my work/school schedule most of my workouts happen between 11pm-2am. The Yonge Eglinton center staff wont even explain how to access the gym overnight. Just inconvenient and illogical all around to reduce this places hours.

Expérience fantastique: I'm posting my review for my experience here. I have been working with a personal trainer for a year and signed up for a few more months to work on specific goals. My first three months I worked with Armando and had a great introduction to what personal training could do for someone who hasn't been to the gym in 8 years. Armando was helpful in challenging me and helping me acknowledge my potential. His personality is very energetic and he really helps you get to work right away so you can start working on your goals. I have been working with Ishan for just under a year now and I am very lucky I have been able to work with a trainer who has supported me in recovering from a knee injury and working with my autoimmune condition, PCOS, which usually makes cardio in work outs a challenge to incorporate. Ishan and I discussed and modified my goals as I achieved them and had been instrumental in helping me achieve the majority of my weight loss this past year. He also helped me work on strengthening my knee so I can do workouts that help me build strong legs. I have built muscle, strength, and confidence in myself working with him. I never thought I'd be able to bench press anything more than the bar and we are getting close to 100lbs. I was able to pack up and move most of my furniture without losing my breath and this was one of the first goals I had set. Ishan is ever caring and ensures you learn the right form so you can workout safely on your own. I even signed up for additional sessions in the new year and travel 45 mins 3 times a week so I can continue working with Ishan. My favourite part about my personal training with Ishan is that he worked with me instead of giving me a program that I couldn't achieve. I have had experiences at other gyms before the Dunfield Club, where I had to just do a bunch of cardio and machines but I didn't achieve my goals. Ishan has listened to me and help me align my work outs with my goals. I now go bouldering and help my friends move because I have the strength and endurance to do so. As someone who struggles to lose weight because of PCOS, I am thankful Ishan understands and works with my condition. I have been able to lose around 55+ pounds because of of my time here and actually keep it off. As a woman, I know that being able to have a trainer that is a woman would be ideal but I never felt that way with Ishan. He really understands our struggles and does research to better support you if and when you do ask him questions that he may not be able to answer right away. I think the front desk staff are always so cheerful and welcoming. The only thing I wish I could change is that sometimes some machines are broken for awhile and it's a bit frustrating to have to wait but understandable.

Expérience négative: Friendly staff. I like that its 24/7. But its the worst of all goodlifes ive been to in terms of cleanliness. The air is stuffy and smells, paper towls are almost always out, weights are all over the place, changing rooms are unclean to say the least. Mgmt really needs to address this.. other reviews seem to agree but looks like mgmt is ignoring feedback because things havent improved a bit sice the last 2 years ive been here. I suggest going to the goodlife on eglinton centre if you can, which is much better

There are also a lot of amnesties and equipments at this gym so it makes the wait time for equipments less when other people need that equipment as well. I always like going here since it’s close to the places I need to be as well (including the subway station)

Expérience fantastique: Great facility, their employees are always available and willing to assist. The complex unit it’s four floors of equipments you may need to burn those extra calories! There’s also a squash room, saunas, Showers and a standing tanning room! Con: No pool.

A while back, I raised a concern about the sauna in the men's washroom, where only one of the three heating elements was working. I am pleased to report that GoodLife has promptly addressed and resolved the issue.The sauna is an integral part of my fitness routine, aiding in muscle relaxation and detoxification post a rigorous workout. The swift response and repair from GoodLife Fitness showcase their commitment to quality and member satisfaction. Expérience négative: Ridiculously overcrowded. If you work a 9-5 you and go to the gym around that you will be waiting for every weight, every rack, every machine while teens hang out in groups, taking them up for hours on end. Makes me miss during lockdown when you had to book a time slot to visit because at least you were assured some access to weights and machines. This problem isn't specific to this location, I've tried 4 other goodlife locations around Toronto and some fit4less locations as well - they all just oversell memberships because they know most people will keep paying the monthly fee even if the crowds keep them from attending regularly.

Expérience négative: The most disgusting goodlife i have ever been to. The entire place reeks with no proper ventilation or air circulation. Its a mixed bag of BO, mold, socks and wet towels. I want to puke everytime i step into this gym.

All GoodLife Clubs are equipped with multiple HVAC systems, and most Clubs have systems capable of exchanging air in a workout space 5 to 8 times per hour. Our locations strive to meet or exceed the American Society for Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) standards for fitness facilities, to maintain effective methods for air filtration and exchange.

Expérience fantastique: I normally work out here in the night. It's a great spot and it's not that busy after 10pm. There's a great guy by the name of Mohammed that works there, who's very personable and offers excellent customer service. Would definitely recommend this spot to all my fellow night owls.

Expérience positive: I joined to use the group classes but unfortunatley the group class hall is super hot! Even in the winter! We raised this concern many times and everybody else has similar exprience but nobody does anything about it. I stopped going to my favorite body combat class for that reason. I couldn't survive in that tempereture really! In general the building is very old and not that much clean and warm and a bit smelly. But the classes are awesome and it has lot's of equipments.

Expérience fantastique: I recently switched from LA fitness and I have to say I’m very Impressed with this location. It’s a little farther from my house than LA was, but it’s worth the extra commute in my opinion. The Women’s studio is well stocked with equipment and spacious. The studio upstairs is HUGE and rarely busy. Washrooms are always clean and sauna always working. This location is an absolute treat and I’m beyond glad I made the switch ! ♀️

Expérience positive: Honestly, a closet compared to Edmonton GoodLife gyms. The commerce place gym in Edmonton is 2 floors. This one is smaller than the first floor. Equipment is old, and they need a calf machine.... Lots of stuff missing here.

Expérience négative: I recently got a corporate membership with Goodlife to utilize their one "perk" of having boxing bags at some locations. I box and already have two separate gym passes at other gyms but needed a punching bag and some other benefits that came along with having this pass. Before coming to this location I spoke to a male that worked at the front desk over the phone that ensured me if I asked a manager or front desk to use the Boxing bags when I arrive I would be able to use the bags. I headed on over, to the gym to get my workout in and hit the bag. Upon arrival i noticed this gym is immensely packed, trust me it's not worth coming here unless you like waiting to use equipment. I figured maybe I'll pass on weight lifting today and go straight to punching the bag. When I went to the front desk to ask if I could use the bag, the worker there (asian male, I wish I got his name but this was on July 4th at about 11pm) gave me a sarcastic response seemingly laughed and said "who told you, you can use the punching bag, it's only for private training". If that's the rules honestly, that's fine but just please don't waste my time; if you tell me something over the phone and then tell me say something else in person that a huge waste of my time, but on top of that the disrespect of a sarcastic response is ridiculous lmao. I am canceling my membership before this month ends, if the miscommunication between colleagues in a gym is like this in one gym it's most likely like this in all the Goodlife gyms.

Expérience négative: Overall gym is okayish. Recently joined this one so will keep on editing per experience. However, their mens washrooms smell so bad and turns out their flushes don't work. So the whole floor stinks for weeks. Must check out housekeeping stuff before joining any place as it tells a lot as that is the least any place could do to take care of it's environment.

Expérience fantastique: The best goodlife I've ever been to. I love the fact that they enforce towel privileges. There's nothing worse than someone who doesn't pay for towels and still requests them and then complains about it. If you want a towel, pay for towels or bring your own. Staff is amazing in particular Frankie, Steph and Vina. Keep up the good work!

Expérience négative: Been to many goodlife locations, including this one several times as it is nearby where i live. Came in for a quick cardio workout did 40 min cardio came back to the front desk to get a towel i am pretty sure my membership includes towel services. Lady named Veena decline to give a towel acting all authoritative yelling at me in front of other members.” oh your membership does not include towel services but ill give you one anyways” proper protocol would have been to go through the profile in front of the member and discuss.. i am not sure why employees here are going through peoples profiles, when not requested as i went back to the front desk im sure after 40 minutes plenty of other members must have entered and exited. Does it not go against employee guidelines to stalk members personal privacy data without request? Employees here need to be trained again regards privacy and data and ways to treat guests that visit the club. Not sure if veena was having a bad day and needed somewhere to vent, this is not acceptable

Expérience positive: I abhor this company greatly and their membership rates are exorbitant post-Covid. Unfortunately I live close by and this is the most convenient option if I want to play squash. I should mention that Bryan and the Squashabout team do an amazing job but they're a separate entity.
Expérience positive: Staff are friendly, they have lots of equipment, it's clean, and they have a good app to book classes. But since covid, they have decreased the number of classes and variety greatly. A little hard to stay motivated with what they offer. I hope they step up the fun and choice factor soon.

Expérience positive: Love this location particularly group classes. Great instructors! Update: PEOPLE, BE RESPECTFUL TO THE NEXT PERSON AFTER YOU! People dont clean their mats or equipment after usage. I saw how they sweat and put their dirty shoes on the mat and then just put it back.

Expérience négative: This is the WORST GoodLife of Toronto. They have a astonishing rate of 15 people per equipment. If you want a bad experience, you go there. You can share one equipment with 15 in a time, smells bad, and Wait 20 minutes to use the washroom. Look at the pictures and check how packed it is. I would never recommend having this experience. Just avoid this one!

Expérience négative: The showers are disgusting, there's flies in there and the water smells at times. And more than once the water temperature is cold, so I don't even get to shower after my workout. The sauna is constantly broken, and it doesn't help that the sauna door sits lobsided with big gaps around it that lets the hot air escape. Overall for $50 bi-weekly membership fees things should be running much smoother, and less issues with the facilities. I'm really considering going to another gym for these reasons...Do better GoodLife Dunfield!

Expérience négative: The showers haven't worked right for the last couple of months. It's a gamble if you'll get hot water each day, and half of them have poor water pressure. The gym has also been overrun with teenagers. Combined with poor oversight of the gym floor, it's an unmitigated disaster. I have witnessed kids unsafely putting themselves on top of a leg press machine, vaping in both the locker rooms and on the gym floor, removing their shirts on the gym floor (there are plenty of places to pose -- but they seem to insist on doing this in the crowded free-weights section), using incredibly offensive language in the change rooms, and even the staff have admitted to me that they make a mess of the change rooms. When I inquired about the price to put my membership on hold, thinking maybe the gym would improve over the summer months when school is out, I was told by staff that I'm not the only member to complain about these teenagers. The staff at this gym is super friendly, but they never patrol the gym floor. I've been to MANY Goodlife locations (St. Catharines Bunting Road being the only other location I've been a regular in) and the staff at other locations wander the floor, clean, put weights away, and enforce gym policies. The Dunfield club is a free-for-all, with staff often in groups of 3 or 4 hanging out at the front desk. Cleaning stations often run out of paper towels, and soaps in the shower are often low or empty. Overall, I used to like working out here. A lot of the regulars are great people, and like I said, the staff are very friendly. It's a good gym to go to while school's in, maybe. It never used to be like this. When it's good, it's good. But they need to seriously re-evaluate how this gym is managed now with a large number of new, disrespectful clientele.

Expérience positive: I used to enjoy coming here but the swarms of disrespectful teenagers really takes away from the experience now. If I do visit this location, I time it around the school schedule to try and avoid it. Likely not a whole lot that can be done other than a greater number of staff members monitoring the gym during peak times.

How is possible that the lady that pick up the call, who is supposed to know what are the gym programs, registration fees, etc etc DOESNT KNOW anything! She is completely lost! Train properly your team or at least provide them with a piece of paper with the i formation that they MUST know!

Expérience positive: The gym is huge, have so many options to do, and I love that they have a space for women only. Love the classes, the instructors are great. They have hot yoga. Staff is very nice and helpful.

Steph at the front desk always makes a point of saying hi to myself and my girlfriend, makes us feel welcome and encouraged to be there. She knows without asking that id like a towel or to use the tanning facilities and that level of hospitality is really special.

Expérience fantastique: Great gym right in the heart of downtown with good set of machines/exercises, squash and, interestingly, even a mini basketball court in one of the squash courts (court 7). Membership ~80 per mo., and it’s open 24/7. Would recommend.

Expérience fantastique: I used to dread going to the gym every day but since I started working out at this location I am always greeted with a smile and such positivity! Stephanie at the front desk has totally changed my whole attitude when it comes to the gym! I am always happy to go now, mainly because of Stephanie to be honest. She is always so friendly and asks me about my workouts, I never thought I would see the day I would genuinely enjoy going to the gym. Huge shout out to Stephanie for changing my entire outlook! Expérience positive: Pretty decent Goodlife fitness. There are a decent amount of machines and weights for you to use. They also have a small kitchen for your protein and healthy food options in the entrance. Also a squash court for those that play. They don’t have a dedicated parking and I personally wouldn’t recommend driving anyways because Eglinton is always busy under construction. After work, 5~7pm, there is a quite a crowd so be warned.

Expérience fantastique: I have been a member for over 5 years and I don not see myself going to work out anywhere else! For me the gym is not only the space and equipment, but yes people. The staff at Goodlife dunfield have a great energy mindset. Stephanie at the front desk has a positive attitude every time I tap my tag! I feel home every work out. Last week, I had a question about how to use those sliders racks located on the last floor, therefore I asked Stephanie for some help and clarification. She was so happy to do so, she showed me how to pull the weight out and directions and the proper posture to push/ slide the weights using my legs. I really appreciated her knowledge and most of all her enthusiasm to show me. Now I master that exercise! The staff at the gym is the principal for motivation. I really value people' relation and Goodlife dunfield club offers to the Max. Thank you.

Expérience négative: I've been going here for the last 10 yrs and I've noticed a steady decline from when it Extreme Fitness. Showers, bathrooms are nasty and lot of punks hogging equipment to chit chat and shoot videos. There should be someone on the floors patrolling to avoid this like at other gyms. Is this really worth the money. Otherwise people working front desk are helpful along with some trainers.

Expérience fantastique: This gym is large but broken down into smaller areas. It has squash courts and a special area for women only workout. Change rooms are well equipped and spacious. It does not have on site parking.

Expérience positive: I really like this gym, i love the womens area, its quite big too. Only thing i wish it had was parking, or some sort of discount parking with the lot close to it. Sucks i need to take a bus anytime i want to go to the gym.

Expérience fantastique: I have been a member of GoodLife Fitness (Dunfield and Eglinton branch) for about three years. Despite all the openings and closings in last couple of years due to the pandemic’s restrictions, this GoodLife Fitness branch has remained my second home to come back and use a wide range of equipment for my work out. The crown-jewel of this gym has been its wonderful staff-members, who have created a very pleasant atmosphere in the gym. I have, in particular, been quite pleased with Stephanie, who has always treated the gym’s members including myself with much kindness and care. Stephanie has always demonstrated utmost professionalism and excellent customer service. I highly recommend this GoodLife Fitness branch for your work out!

Expérience positive: Great location. Been coming here since I moved to the area on 2013. My only complaint is that the should be better machine options in the women only area. No squat rack or smith machine or hip thrust. Would be better to remove a row of the cardio machines and add more options for women.

Expérience négative: I gotta say I absolutely love GoodLife and think they have one of the best gym systems. But my close friend was mistreated by one of the workers named Stephanie, I have also heard other friends tell me she can have an attitude. If she has such an attitude she shouldn’t be working there. The gym is supposed to be a positive place where you go and workout. Stephanie has the complete opposite attitude mean and rude. Honestly she should not be working there if she’s gonna treat every customer like a peasant, learn to get some manners.

Expérience négative: One of my friends that I come here a lot with was mistreated by one of the employees yesterday at this GoodLife. Her name goes by “Stephanie”. I would definitely be on the lookout for her, she doesn’t know how to treat a customer. She is very rude, disrespectful, and overall should not be a staff member at this GoodLife. I will be saying something to the management next time I come in because this is wrong.

And it’s funny because my other friends also have had issues with Stephanie at this GoodLife. So it makes sense to me why she was so rude to my friend, I would like to report this publicly because no one should have to be treated that way. It was absolutely disgusting and disappointing to hear the news on how he was treated. Just wanted to let everyone know. Stephanie should also be looked into by the GoodLife team as the other staff members are cool.

Expérience fantastique: Best gym in all of midtown and probably even the city! 24hrs, 7 squat racks, women's section and a basketball court make this location awesome but the staff make it incredible!

Expérience fantastique: Great location. Staffs are friendly. Fitness equipments are a bit too close and need more space for safety. Squash courts need more cleaning especially the floor was not clean enough. Squash courts are taken by house league and lessons majority of time and it's competitive to book the court in prime time.

Expérience positive: Been going here for about 6 months now and it's a very good location. Staff are friendly, the equipment are in good condition and are regularly cleaned. Parking is validated only in the afternoon though, and is around a 3 minute walk away from the gym. Easier to access via TTC than by car.

Expérience négative: Always packed, water fountain is empty way too often, and the equipment is kinda old. I've been a goodlife member for a while, at different gyms across the country. Probably one of the weakest GL gyms. Staff are friendly though.
Expérience positive: Nice gym, very clean. No matter what time I go it’s packed though! Would only recommend this location if you have hours to train.

Expérience fantastique: This is a great GoodLife location. It has 3 stories and a woman’s gym. You can find just about every piece of equipment you need here. 5-730 is very busy and you might need to wait for a rack.

Expérience fantastique: I have been going to this fitness centre for the last 6+ months and I have found it to hygienic, well stocked and maintained in terms of equipments and spacious enough to work out freely even during rush hour. I have not had the opportunity to interact with the staff much, but everyone seems nice and professional. Besides, this centre has squash courts as well. Overall, it's a good place to burn your calories, clear your head and stay fit.

Expérience positive: Location has a ton of equipment and sections but it’s WAY too crowded. Only shot at getting free equipment is after 8:30pm, or mornings on weekends. Womens only section is a great benefit and I mostly use that but it could use more equipment for sure (no squat rack in that section and gets crowded super fast)

Expérience fantastique: Massive & spacious gym (4 floors) with well-maintained equipment at a convenient location in the heart of midtown. Membership includes access to a smoothie bar, spinning studio, and squash court so the only thing missing is an Olympic pool I've only gone once while visiting the city but the quality of the facility + friendliness of staff far exceeded expectations so will certainly be returning

Expérience positive: I wish I could give this branch a 5 star since it is in a very nice location, lots of workout space, 4/5 cleanliness, has nice equipments and machines, clean lockers and nice bathrooms (except the men’s urinals that’s constantly broken), a women only zone, huge turf zone… I honestly couldn’t ask for more but a few staffs seems rude and evasive when entering and leaving the area. The female staffs atleast says hi or smile… when entering and I always say hi and thank you before leaving but the males just turn around after I say hi or thank you. It makes me feel unwelcomed there and I understand it’s something so simple but it’s the little things that makes this location great. Greeting a customer nicely shouldn’t emasculate men honestly. I hope it improves.

Expérience positive: Love that the gym is 24/7. But it is really warm in there, either they don't have a great air conditioning system or they just don't want to use it. Be prepared to sweat!

He was the one who assured me that this was a judgement free zone and that if I ever had any questions or concerns about anything, I can seek their counsel. He truly exercised excellent customer service and never turned down any silly questions. Even during covid, he was very prompt with answering questions and thorough in his follow ups in guiding me on how to proceed with freezing my membership. His actions and consistent level of service really embodied inclusivity and made this environment a safe place for women to be in. I am grateful for his impact at the St. Clair location and know that his dedication to excellence will extend to Dunfield! Expérience fantastique: Thank you for being the only GoodLife that never fails to be open 24hrs. Branch is always well maintained and clean, it’s a 20min drive away compared to the closer branch that’s a 8 min walk from home but the turf floor always wins. Forgot a water bottle there and was able to retrieve it a week later. What more can I say, only thing I wish they had is a heavy punching bag but I go to other. GoodLifes for that.

Expérience fantastique: Great gym with a fair selection of machines. There are 7 squash courts with an excellent squash community located inside that hosts various leagues and tournaments all year long. The Eglinton traffic can be hectic but that should resolve itself when the light rail train (LRT) project is completed.
