Expérience fantastique: The service from the weekend front desk staff was phenomenal. The greeted me with warm smiles from outside the door all the way to the gates inside the facility. I definitely will be back again despite living further out, the assistance from the staff, the welcoming environment they created and the new clean and functional equipment makes this gym one of my favourite gyms in the city.

Expérience fantastique: I really like the new gym. The interior design is nice, including in the locker rooms. The Regymen classes are good quality with nice equipment. Recovery room is nice too, but is often very busy. Overall, the gym is just the right size, not too small like before, but not super spread out either.

Expérience fantastique: On a recent first visit to, “Goodlife Fitness” at the Yonge and Eglinton Centre, I had a wonderful introduction and tour of the facility. My entire experience was incredibly positive and exceeded my expectations. Prior to finally going, I was very reluctant to do so because of my fears of being taken advantage of and pressured. Thus, for the longest of time, I put off my interest. However; due to my trouble and frustration of being injury-prone and slow to heal, I decided to go forth with a visit. I am so glad that I did. Josh, at the front desk, was extremely welcoming and pleasant and very informative. I was then put in the care of Paolo for a meeting and a tour. He was the best! He was so kind, well-informed, well-spoken, and empathetic. He was extremely attentive and nonjudgmental. Because of Paolo and Josh, I am in the process of returning to Goidlife as a proud and grateful member! Thank-you, Paolo, Josh, and the rest of the Goodlife team who arranged and guided me through the process.

Expérience positive: Unremarkable renovation. Too much cardio. Limited machines. Unimagined atmosphere ( i.e, just a big uninspired hall.

Expérience positive: The place is neat and clean, they are equipped with varieties of machines in a small location. The staffs are nice but there are things happening in the gym which are overlooked while manning the front desk with 4-5 people at a time. A group of people were using the lat pulldown machine and taking turns. They were having difficulty doing the workout cause the weights are too heavy, then they ended up hanging midair on the handle and made it into a game. This is a gym with machines which are capable causing harm in a split second, not a playground. This is not the first time I saw situation as such happened and the staffs are just at the front desk manning the entrance. Monitoring for any mis-use of equipments is just as important as signing people up for membership at the front desk.

Expérience positive: Renovated and bigger. Open space... not cramped. Good equipment free, weights machines & good amount of cardio machines for overall fitness. Very clean, nice showers, good size sauna. Friendly staff & trainers. I wish GL negotiated on the behalf of clients for parking 2 hours free instead of 50% off 3:54 -4:49 pm. $ 11.25 costs too much on top of membership to visit this location.

Expérience positive: New gym is clean and open format which is great. Paying 22 dollars parking for a hour and getting half off is definitely not worth it. Every other GoodLife I go to validates parking on site and is free for a certain amount of hours. Having to get my ticket stamped then you have togo to security to get it approved so you can pay for overcharged parking.. is just one of the reason I’ll be going to the others.

Expérience positive: It’s a decent gym, but they don’t care about fresh air at all. When I complained to the staff that the smell in the gym was making me feel sick, they didn’t care. If this continues, I’ll change my gym.

Expérience fantastique: The newly renovated gym is huge and amazing. The Regymen classes are so much fun because it's like a HIIT style circuit training with lots of equipment. The Recovery room is awesome as well after a workout.

Expérience fantastique: Make sure to check the Regymen studio in the new location. You can enjoy the boutique studio experience with a more reasonable price. If you’re a fan of HIIT or bootcamp style training, you will love the classes. There are so many interesting and unconventional exercise equipments and studio design and lighting is really cool.

Expérience négative: GoodLife promotes itself as a “24/7 gym,” but it closes at 10 p.m. on Sundays. It’s frustrating and misleading for those of us who rely on late-night workouts.

Expérience fantastique: The new location is pretty good for the basics and fundamentals of what is needed in a gym. While some things might be nice, if you just want to get stronger and not be weak, this gym has what you need. Some of the staff might just need a refresher on customer service a bit, but I have never had a bad experience at the place so far.

Expérience fantastique: Finally Regymen class opened in Toronto. I live downtown but need to travel up to north to join the class. Before was only in Islington branch. Why dont goodlife open one in downtown Toronto? Peak" and Regymen" are the best class grom GL. Please open peak class in downtown.

Expérience positive: I've now visited the newly renovated location a couple of times, and definitely enjoyed my workouts! The equipment is all new and clean, the lighting is a good balance of bright without being harsh, the change rooms are spacious with big lockers, and the staff are friendly! I haven't been able to find a water fountain that you can drink from without a bottle... Only places to fill up a water bottle, so make sure to bring one for your workout! I will be back here often, especially since they have a lot of squat racks/platforms.

Expérience négative: Edit** - Included at the end in response to GoodLife's comment to my review. I visited this gym last week to inquire about membership and was disappointed by the customer service. We were very excited to go as the location had revamped and looked bigger and better. My wife and I went to the front desk and asked how to become a member and what are the plans/deals available. The front desk guy asked me to fill my information in a tablet mounted on stand first. Fine, I said, I filled it up and came back to the desk. Then he asked us to follow a customer who was going in through the turnstile. We did not understand clearly what he said when he asked that. He repeated a little frustratingly that you had to follow that person in. He then pressed a button and asked us to walk in "quickly" as the turnstiles close quick. We sat down and he gave us forms, one for each of us to fill in. I asked him what those forms were. He said since you're inside you have to fill the forms. Mind you the "inside" was just behind the front desk. He then explained those are indemnity forms you have to sign as you're inside and I cannot take you on a tour without it. We told him that's fine but can you just explain what the plans were without the tour. We don't need the tour of the gym at this stage. He said that you can find the plans on the website. I cannot tell you anything new. The "indemnity" forms asked for personal details (name, address l, phone numbers, etc.). I again said that we had filled the form at the entrance and we do not want a tour. Also, we want to know if there were any classes/sessions like Zumba, HIIT, etc. But no, he repeated 3 times - "You can find the details on the website". He also said that he cannot do anything unless we fill the forms. At that point we got up and left. My concern is why are you insisting on filling up details when I've already filled one form and clearly told you we don't want a tour at this point. Also, the website did not have the details we were looking for and hence we decided to visit and ask. If they treat you like this before you are even a member, I cannot imagine what they'd do once you are a member. Edit** - I would understand the liability form if we were not asked to tailgate. In addition, I'm not sure what fitness levels would you evaluate based on my name, email, phone number, and address. Lastly, I did not want a tour of the gym and declined it multiple times.

In addition to liability, our associates use these to determine your fitness goals based off your responses. This allows the team to ensure that they are recommending the best membership option for you. We appreciate the review and will have management review and coach where needed.
Expérience négative: The gym is fantastic, and the staff is excellent. However, I’ve encountered an issue with the recovery room’s massage chairs during the night. On several consecutive nights, I’ve noticed one guy sleeping on the massage chair from 1 am to 5 am, preventing others from using them. This lack of consideration is problematic. Considering the fact that to use the recovery room one needs to have an upgraded membership plan and with this situation members can’t even take the benefit of the things they’re paying for. Additionally, only one of the massage chairs is functional, while the other remains broken.

Expérience négative: Flashy new location with great staff, but missing a lot of basic equipment and services. There are no cross trainers, no Jacob’s ladder, no heavy bag, no spin studio, no separate group fitness area, no mirrored area for things like kettlebells, no virtual fitness, limited resistance machines, and only 2 ergs. Additionally a lot of the previously free amenities like towels, massage chairs, and group classes are now a higher membership fee. An additional disappointment is that parking is only 50% validated which is misadvertised on their website. The gym is clean with nice new equipment but overall it’s evident they’re trying to keep up with the specialty gyms and it misses the mark with basic services. Wouldn’t return or recommend this location.

Expérience négative: Open concept, not my preference, and mostly won't use this location going forward. Not enough mirrors for all the equipment to ensure proper form. (That's why I prefer locations like the old Extreme Fitness Locations) Those locations also have better quality equipment (Hammer Strength). Lockers are larger. Water bottle refill stations. Dry Sauna. Sharps disposal in washroom. Accessible sinks. The facility is clean. No hands-free water faucets. No paper towels. No water fountain. No tanning. No whirlpool. No steam room. No cold room.

Expérience fantastique: Employees are nice and passionate. I called them several times they patiently help me figure out how to sign up performance membership so I can take advantage of Reygman group classes. The Regyman classes make this gym so unique.

Expérience négative: I went to theYonge /Eglinton location for the first time. DUNFIELD being my home gym. The employee at the desk was rude. I scanned my fob and went through the turnstile too quickly. So he had to buzz me in he then proceeded to dress me down at the top of his voice. Telling me not to touch the turnstiles. I walked away and he still went on and on. Look at your cameras. I was excited to go to the new 24hr location. Then when the security guard came over he was still going on. I was confused as I didn't know what was happening. I then said I'll leave and go to the other gym. He said go we don't need or want you hear. We don't care. Now if that's how you treat your clients I'm diddapointed. If this angry employee I'd going to be your overnight shift person I would rather se him every morning when I walk the 4km to do my workout.

Expérience négative: My husband went this morning AUG 1st at 5 a.m., for his first visit to this new gym. The person manning the desk was very rude, shouting at him because he went too quickly through the turnstiles, and employee had to press the button. Telling him not to put his hands on the turnstiles. The. He kept shouting at him as he walked to the change room about not touching the turnstle. When my husband said he was leaving to go to another gym Dunfield our regular gym, He shouted at him and told him he could go to another gym if he wanted they didn't need him there. Ask the female security guard what happened. Not sure if this is how this location operates but it definitely has made a bad impression on both of us and if this rude employee us the regular overnight shift person my husband won't be returning to this location.

Expérience fantastique: Freshly Renovated.! The Gym is now Bigger & Better. Mostly everything is new; the plates, dumbells, machines. Love it. Oh also Dry sauna and shower at this location aswell.

Expérience fantastique: Great renovation! Love the new deadlift platforms and the dumbbell racks. The benches feel a little off though - they’re a little too low which makes it hard for people with short arms to rerack, and there’s no adjustable rack for benching like the manulife location has. Overall good equipment though, looking forward to more renovations in Toronto

From the moment I walked in, Umar’s welcoming demeanor and genuine enthusiasm made me feel at ease and excited to start my fitness journey. Umar went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed. He took the time to thoroughly explain the gym’s facilities, equipment, and various workout programs. His knowledge and passion for fitness were evident, and he tailored his advice to suit my individual goals and preferences. This personalized approach made a significant difference in my overall experience. During my workout, Umar checked in regularly, offering tips and encouragement. Expérience positive: Gym as a whole is fine but for some reason the personal trainers don’t understand personal space? I was asked how many sets I have left on a machine and I replied 2. PT and his client told me to take my time and instead essentially towered over me the entire time. When I finished I went to grab something to wipe down and left my belongings by the machine only to come back and see that both already commenced using the piece of equipment with my belongings still there. This is only my most recent incidence regarding lack of respect for “non paying” clients. Annoying

Expérience fantastique: Been coming to this location for a few months now and it’s great. The staff is always welcoming and encouraging. They work hard to keep the space clean. It’s usually never too busy as well which is a bonus. Definitely my preferred location over some of the other ones in the city

Expérience négative: For everyone who wants to sign a personal trainer contract at Goodlife Fitness, think twice! Here are some points to consider: 1) Expect canceled sessions. My trainers frequently canceled sessions, often with flimsy excuses like 'I didn't sleep well', ‘dog had a diarrheal all night’. 2) Want to opt out? Prepare to pay a hefty fee. They asked me for 20% of the entire year's fee just to cancel. 3) Management is unhelpful. In particular, there's a manager named Victor who couldn't resolve a single issue I brought up. When I asked to talk to his manager, he just ghosted me. Very unprofessional. 4) The gym's infrastructure leaves much to be desired. It's cramped, constantly crowded, and you're always waiting for benches. To add insult to injury, the wifi is horrendous. 5) If you're seriously considering a personal trainer, I'd recommend looking elsewhere. I was charged almost $450 for 6 sessions a 2 weeks (of which 2 were usually canceled, manager Victor said and I quote “there is some level of this that is to be expected”.) There are independent trainers out there who charge as low as $300 and offer better commitment. 6) Consistency is key when working with a personal trainer, but I had 3 different trainers in less than 8 months. This constant change is detrimental to progress as each trainer has their own methodology and approach. Just when you get comfortable and build a rapport with one, you're shifted to another. This severely hampers the training process and personal growth. Honestly, save your money and your time. This isn't worth the hassle.

Expérience fantastique: Great job for the whole entire team keeping it safe and clean for all the member especially during the pandemic. The manager, David has a nice welcoming smile and greets me with a towel whenever I visit . Would recommend anyone who lives in the area to check it out!!

Hi there! We are very sorry about your experience and that you were unable to attend the class. For late arrival, empty spots may be given away to someone on the wait list. You may the club in advance to notify if you are going to be a few minutes late to hold your spot.

Expérience négative: Nice facility but I typically don't go here because the parking validation only covers half of the extortion parking rates at Yonge Eglinton Centre. Changed to 2 stars due to missing towel service on Nov 17. No towels means no showers means one can't do a proper workout here. This location is too new to have their facilities under disrepair.

They have offer a variety of cardio and weight machines facing the windows with high ceiling. The front desk is friendly and knowledgeable with their services. Expérience négative: The Goodlife at Yonge and Eglinton is the worst of the bunch. Not a lot of equipment, and it is likely the machine you want to use has someone "parked" on it, looking at Insta for 15 minutes. The most popular workout at the club seems to be sitting on the leg-press machine while scrolling on a smartphone. I made a complaint about one middle-aged woman who goes to the same treadmill everyday and drapes her giant coat on the treadmill next to her (always hogging 2 treadmills) and she sweats BUCKETS and never wipes down the machine. Her teenaged son does the same. The staff did nothing about it - which is especially upsetting during a pandemic. If any regular staff who have worked there in the last few years are reading this - you know EXACTLY the lady I'm referring to. I've even seen a female vaping in the ladies changeroom - again - reported it and nothing was done to properly address my concern. I cancelled my membership specifically because of my frustrations with this club.

Expérience négative: Be careful with the subscription. There’s a lot of sugarcoating while getting the membership. A lot of grey area while cancelling it. It’s mostly crowded. They don’t have all the inclusions in this branch, so you’ll have to go to other gym to use those services.

Expérience négative: Most of the tredmills machines are "down for maintence" and have been for quite some time now. Everytime i go i feel like its getting less cleanly. They barely have any group fitness classes anymore, and they close really early on weekends, what am i paying for? It sucks that this is really the only goodlife in this area that has parking, cause this would be my last choice if it didnt. Parking btw will still cost you $5-$10.
Expérience négative: I would really only go to this gym if you absolutely have to because any other full-size goodlife will make this place look like a dump. Not only does this place need to find a way to expand, but it has way too many cardio machines compared to the rest of the space in the gym. People are on top of each other trying to stretch before going into the gym that has narrow walkways that force you to intrude on people performing exercises. Maybe this place could be like a good life express that would cost half the price, then I would consider making this my home gym. Also, why are there so many “personal trainers“ floating around? I truly believe some of them are exceptional, but others look like they stumbled in from a planet fitness.

Expérience positive: This is a cute small gym. I love coming here to get a basic workout in. Sometimes some of the treadmills are not working and they should put signs on the machines that are not working. Other than that, everything about this gym is great.

Expérience positive: First the stuff I like about here. It is clean. The men's change room has a lot of space and plenty of half lockers. The staff are friendly too. It also seems that all the equipment is well maintained. The down side is the free weight area is tiny, there aren't enough cable machines to compensate and the stretch zone is only a small corner of the gym. I recommend going to this gym when it is not busy if you are looking for a full work out. Or if the Dunfield club is overpacked.
